IOS AIR app won't install with new certificates

I've been devloping my first iOS app in AIR for a few months. Testing on up to 3 devices has gone fine. It's time to submit to the app store. I'm developing for a client who wants the app in their name in the app store. So they set up an Apple iOS developer account and gave me access. When I made a new set of certificates and profiles with the new account the app failed to install on my testing device. I've remade all the certificates multiple times and double checked that I have the correct UUID and am not using a distribution profile.
Is there a problem using someone else's account with keys and certificates made on my mac? What else can I try?

AIR App won't install if different certificate is used

I've taken over a project that was previously developed by another company.
Now I'm using my own certificate to codesign the air application. The problem is now, that the air installer won't allow to install the application if the old application (codesigned with the certificate of the previous developer) is installed on the system. It doesn't even say that there's a codesign problem it just drops the error (translated from german:)

if i check the system.log, i can see:
Installer[1190]: The certificate of the installed app fails to match either the signature or migration signature of the AIR file
if I uninstall the old version of the app first, then the installer will install the application without problems.
However - this application will be distributed to many clients. It will be quite confusing for them If they just see the error (cannot be installed because of a wrong installer configuration. Contact the application author.)
What's the reason for this error message and is there a way arround it?

Does iTunes Connect Christmas break mean apps won't update with new folios over Christmas?

I have 2 folios that are due to be released to my app this Christmas - both fall within the 22nd-29th window iTunes have chosen to close down.
So even though I can publish my folios through DPS over Christmas and pre-plan my app description in iTunes accordingly - before the 22nd - will those published folios not appear in my app?

AIR app won't compile with custom icons

My AIr app won't compile when I choose anything but the
default icons. I created 4 pngs in Photoshop and it gives me the
error: Useage error (incorrect arguments)
Any help? I've tried using only 1 icon, all 4, and no icons.
Only no icons works.

You dont have to use the GUI to set it, you can use the air
appliation XML.
inside your air-app.xml file look for something like:
<icon>
<image128x128>icons/myIcon128.png</image128x128>
<image48x48>icons/myIcon48.png</image48x48>
<image32x32>icons/myIcon32.png</image32x32>
<image16x16>icons/myIcon16.png</image16x16>
</icon>
if its not there add it, but replace the myIcon128.png with
your 128 point png image etc.
also the above assumes your icons are in a folder called
"icons" in the same directory as your air file.

.air files (Air apps) won't install

Hello everybody.
After having successfully installed the latest AIR runtime, I downloaded an .air app and tried to execute it, to no avail. First off, the .air file was not associated with anything, therefore Windows asked me what application I would want to run it with. I then tried to associate it with airappinstaller.exe that can be found under Program Files\Flash Player\Addins, but any time I execute it I get a message saying that there was a problem and I should try to install the latest AIR runtime (which I have already).
I'm kind of lost, what's the problem and how should I deal with it?

Glad you were able to work around the problem. The latest runtime shouldn't have issues making the appropriate .air extension association. If possible, try uninstalling and reinstalling the AIR 2.0.3 runtime. If you still run into problems, please post your installer log file so we can try and dig deeper.

Adobe AIR Apps Won't Install!!! Help!

Please help me. Whenever I' try to install adobe air apps i get an error message:
"Something went wrong trying to install this application. Please install the latest version of Adobe AIR from http"//www.adobe.com/go/getair and then try again."
I've downloaded the latest version of adobe air every time and all it says is that my version is up to dat. It still doesnt work. Please help!

According to Adobe system requirement website, AIR is not compatible with os 10.5.7 - http://www.adobe.com/products/air/systemreqs/

App won't install with the prerequisite SAP Crystal Reports Runtime Engine

On installing with the following prerequisite checked:
SAP Crystal Reports Runtime Engine for .NET Framework 4.0
.. received this error:
Crystal Reports for .NET Framework 4.0\CRRuntime_32bit_13_0.msi
has changed since it was initially published.
Should I NOT use the prerequisite, and instead, use a merge module?

I ran a program with the exact same name, 2 weeks ago, on my VS 2010 Dev machine:
CRforVS_13_0.exe. (284 Meg)
Today, I followed your link, and downloaded the file with the same name, but different size: (1.5 Meg). I mean, a really major difference in size!
Because creating and testing installation packages is very time consuming, I want to verify what you have stated so that I completely understand before I change what currently works, which is for the client machine to separately install the CR runtime, to what you're proposing in including a prerequisite to my install package.
-> I should run this latest exe. It will add a prerequisite to the prerequisite list in Visual Studio 2010. The installation of this prerequisite will work, as the earlier one did not. And it will work for both 32- and 64-bit client machines.
Therefore, I can eliminate the need for the client machine to install the CR run time separately.
Please confirm, and then I will make the necessary changes, and do the install tests on client machines.
(Also, FYI the merge module did not work for me on a 32-bit client machine. So I removed it.)

Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional won't install with new serial number from Adobe

Having replaced my PC I tried to install Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional but I was unable to activate registration as it had already been registered and is an 'old product'. I have contacted the Adobe on-line advisor and was given a new serial number and a file to download.
The set-up wizard will not complete even though I type in the new number accurately and each time I've had to abort installation as it says it can't be verified.
Does anyone have any suggestions or explain what I might be doing wrong please?

I have been able to install the disc but it tells me that I have to activate it with a time limit of 30 days and counting. Activation fails each time I've tried. As I'm nearing the end of the time limit I decided to contact Adobe for advice. They gave me a download package and new serial number but it's only suitable for OS XP and Windows 2000 so I'm unable to download it. I was told by the advisor if I still had problems to use the forum as a means of support so that's why I'm talking to people here.
I have uninstalled Adobe Acrobate Pro 7, so I might try reinstalling the disc to see if it gives me another 30 days grace, that, at least, would be a way around it.
I'll now follow the link you've given me. Though I do suspect I'm in a bit of a cul de sac.

App Won't Install in New OS. What Do I Do

Just installed new OS for iPhone. In apps I have a Groupon app. It says INSTALL. When I press it, it says WILL INSTALL. It never does. What do I do? Thank you for any answers.

IPad Air apps won't install Shows as intalled

I have downloaded apps from app store they show as being installed while downloading then go away and do not show on iPad after downloads completes. When I check the app store they show as intalled with an open button next to them. Clicking on the open button does nothing app will not open. This is my first iPad so there is not an issue with a former iPad. iTunes also shows missing apps installed.

Yea I tried that one as well all no go. I am thinking I may have used the wrong terms to describe what the app store icon show when open and listing what is on the iPad. The app icon appears with the word "open" next to it when the app store purchased file is open. But clicking on it does nothing.
I have even watched the icon appear during the install the once it completes it disappears. I guess a trip to the genius bar may be in my future I have tried everything short of a complete restore.

Apps won't work with new software

I just updated my Ipad 2 software to new IOS 7.0.4 now none of my apps work like Netflix and some game apps. What can I do? Is there a way to go back to the old software?

It's not possible to revert to a prior iOS.
Delete the Netflix app then re download from the App Store.
Same for the game apps.

Apps won't synch with new phone

Bought 3GS and synched from 2G backup, but none of the apps (except one, Around Me) will synch onto new phone. Tried turning on and off, etc. No luck.

I just finished doing my synch with my new 3GS and everything moved over to my new phone.
You might want to check your settings in the Devices area for your phone and make sure your apps are checked to by synched with the phone, I had to check a few of mine to make sure that they moved over to the new one, but otherwise it seems like everything has moved over correctly.

Final Cut Studio 5.1 won't install with new imac7,1 running Snow Leopard

Howdy
I bought Final Cut Studio 5.1 (FCP5, Motion2, etc) and tried to install on a very modern machine running snow leopard.
The machine meets all the system requirements, as far as i can tell, but when i click to install, i get the following:
Alert
Your computer does not have the hardware required to run this software. See the Read Me for details.
Is this a graphics card issue?
Obviously i'm a bit annoyed because the of the costs and i thought a high-end computer would be able to run this 5-year old software package.
If anyone can advise me of a way to circumnavigate the problem using the tools i already have, i'd be very appreciative.

It was bought from a reseller and is version 5.1.
I was under the impression that you could only upgrade if you had a previous version of FCS installed. Since i cannot install the version i have, i cannot upgrade.
I did try the 'esc' key but it didn't have any effect at all - this is a good tip though, so thanks for the idea. I'm sure one day i'll need to use it.
I'm close to admitting defeat and selling it on again, but if there are any FCS experts out there with a fix, that'd be super awesome!
