IOS5, activation needs to be user friendly

I recently upgraded to ios 5 and when I try activating my ipad I go through the setup process, and in the apple id email step it will not accept my apple id or my email associated with my apple id, it says that "this email address is already in use". Please Help!

Macs can read Windows formatted iPods so you should be able to plug it into the Mac and get your stuff off it...

The phone MUST have a SIM present in order for activation to complete. The process will not finish otherwise.
For the OP:
If the iPhone 5 is locked to a carrier, you must use a SIM from that same carrier. Otherwise I think you would be OK borrowing the SIM to activate the phone.

This is old. ITunes doesnot have a support you can call to get things done. There needs to be an easier way to contact them? The screens are not user friendly.

Hi,
Go to your Results tab, and then click on the icon "Edit Analysis Properties" and select "Display Custom Message" from the "No Results Setting" drop down. Here you can edit and have your own custom message.

That is not acceptable I need to see all my top up history.On several occasions I tried to access, again through the link on my account, View Usage. I eventually got a response which showed I had texted 207 times on 31/07/2015. This inaccurate record showed these messages were to two numbers.As a result of the above just before 10am on Sunday 02/08/2015 I contacted your customer services and spoke to a male who sounded Indian. Again your help line is so frustrating over 3 minutes of select from the following to find none of them covered the help I need so I decided to select I am leaving EE. I pointed out to your representative the problems I was having and he put me on hold while he checked my account. After a minute or so he came back to me and said he would have to transfer me to someone else. Again I was put on hold and after a little while another man came on the phone. He came back on after a while and said he could see there was a problem and counted the texts I had sent since my top up on 25th. I think he said it was 43 or something like that. He then said he would have to speak to his manager about the problem and again I was put on hold After a minute or so he came back and told me his manager was very busy and his manager would phone me back. Configuring Oracle Application Server to use a user friendly url

I am having trouble configuring the apache httpd.conf file within an applicaton server to be able to use user-friendly urls for the infrastructure identity management tools server. I also need this for security reasons as well as hardware reasons - loadbalancing.
At the moment I have a standard setup, whereby the sso application server is using port 7777. I would like the user not to enter the port, but to enter just a standard url, like http://login.<company>.com.au, so that if the user needs to modify oid using the oiddas web application, they can enter something like http://login.<company>.com.au/oiddas/ rather than http://<machine host name>:7777/oiddas/. This would also be used by portal for sso logins.
From the standard installation, Apache was configured as follows:
Port 7777
Listen 7777
ServerName <machine host name>
DocumentRoot <root document folder>
Now reading the documentation from the Oracle Application Server Installation notes for the Http Server, they document how to do this (in the loadbalancer section - this will eventually be used in the hardware setup):

Note that I used slightly different names for the url's rather than the oracle names www.oracle.com and server.oracle.com
Now after applying this, I noticed not only could I not go to the oiddas from the original machine name, but also couldnt go there from the new machine name.
Also I was not even able to go to the standard index page whereby you can go to the enterprise manager for the application server, from either names.
The following urls provide me with "The Page Cannot Be Displayed" error message:
http://login.<company>.com.au:7777/
http://<nameofmachine>:7777/
The following urls provide me with "Page Under Construction" error message:
http://login.<company>.com.au/
http://<nameofmachine>/
Could someone please tell me why this is the case, considering I am using the installation procedures Oracle has published within the Oracle Http Server Admistrators Guide (http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_19/web.1012/b14007/netconf.htm#sthref379).

Ik think that I can see your probleem.
Just change the following line at your httpd.conf, then restart the component.
First of all if the port is installed with nr. 7777. then the listen process will be on port 7778
the second thing is just try to do the following steps
((Port 80 to Port 7777)))
Listen 7778
%%%% In loadbalancer section %%%%%%
just add the following lines
Listen 80
Listen 8103
Listen 8102
NameVirtualHost *
NameVirtualHost *:8103 or 80
If you want to use this ports (8103 or 8102) for other site (url), then
<VirtualHost *:80>
ServerName <machine ip> or (host name)

I need help for user exit mereq001. I think I messed up with include table CI_EBANDB and CI_EBANMEM. And When I tried to check the syntax . It gives me error like : <b>Class IF_PURCHASE_REQUISITION. Inconsistency in the dictionary for the structure mereq_item_s_cust_data.</b> Anyone had experience for this exit? I just need to extract costcenter information of the each item from the requisition and block the requisiton if the costcenter are differents from each other before the requisition is saved. Any one has idea about it?

Have you checked this struture consistency from SE11. Also check the activation log.
If there are any errors and you are not able to rectify the same use RSDDCHECK program, give your table name and run the report.
This will list down the error structures releated this table and also prompts for you to activate it.

I want to understand if we change User logon Name to Employee Number format in Active Directory for all User accounts, then what would be the impact on existing profile. Whether we need to change it manualy or it will connect to same profiles in terminal
session.
As i observed it create new profile after logon name changed to employee number where existing users profile settings get fails to load and prompt for new settings (such as outlook reconfiguration, share drive mapping etc.).
Kindly let me know the proper process to overcome with this, how to connect same existing roaming profile with employee number format change.

Yes, it will affect roaming profiles. Please rename the roaming profile folder as the new user account name, in addition, change the profile path in ADUC.

I am trying to avoid using different combinations of the word "Convention Center" in the workflow rule since the word convention center could be spelled with mixed cases by the sales people.For example - Convention center or convention Center or CONVENTION center.
I don't want to check for the different combinations of the convention center string in the workflow rule since i need to check for other fields in the opportunity and the expression could get very long.
I am trying to convert the opportunity to upper case and then check for 'CONVENTION CENTER' so that it will handle all the scenarios.

Error states:
"Some of the object names cannot be shown in their user-friendly form. This can happen if the object is from an external domain and that domain is not available to translate the object's name"
We are receiving this error when we click on a group with ADUC and the members of that group were added from the trusted domain. Domain A has a one way non transitive trust wtih domain B that is in place and active.
We have checked every possible setting and configuration and cannot resolve this problem. Domain A has Windows 2008 R2, domain B is 2003. Domain A is at a windows 2008 functional leve, domain b is at a 2003 functional level.
YOu can add account from domain B into domain A , but they immediately turn to SIDS once you hit "apply".
Validated trust on both ends
triple checked DNS and see no issues
checked policies
dcdiag returns no errors
Could this be a bug with having a trusted domain on 2003 and the non-trusted domain on 2008 R2?

Handling contraint violations in a user friendly way

How do you trap constraint violation errors is a user friendly manner ...
I've seen a number of related posts on the forum but have not yet seen a solution that people are happy with.
Ideally, Id like to:
- avoid displaying the 'raw' oracle error to the user
- display a user-friendly message in an alert box
- sent the user back to the entry forms with his
entered data present.
This requirement seems fundamental to the development of a reasonable application, somebody must have solved it.

I'm no expert, but here's info from my own experience.
1. Trap those pk/uk constraint violations in an appropriate exception block. Get this working and test it under all conceivable exceptions.
2. Write an exception handler, producing the javascript/html/redirects you need.
Oracle exception handling is pretty mature, but you need to put some effort in to catching everything listed in the package throws declarations.
If you're working with forms or other components the approach is different, but you weren't terribly specific in your question.

Subscription renew process not user friendly

This morning I restarted my Mac, as it was switched off over the weekend to save power.
I opened Dreamweaver.
A dialog popped up: "Renew your subscription: Go to the Subscription Manager to renew your subscription for Creative Cloud Membership and continue using your product uninterrupted. "
I clicked 'Subscription Manager'.
This took me to the Creative Cloud page: https://creative.adobe.com/
There were no instructions here on how to renew my subscription.
Do I need to reinstall each of the apps I am currently using via the Download links (which open Adobe Application Manager)? This is inconvenient because it means waiting for each of these apps to be downloaded.
The whole process is really un-user-friendly and is creating a very slow start to the week as I cannot resume any work until my apps are reactivated.
If this is to be a regular occurence is there some way for me to schedule this reinstall process to a time that is convenient for me (eg Friday afternoons every 3 months) so that I do not have these slow starts to the working week?

You can renew your subscription by going to the "My Adobe" page on Adobe.com: https://www.adobe.com/account.html. From there, click on "My subscriptions and services" under "My products and services". You will be taken to a page that shows your Creative Cloud subscription with an option to renew. You should not need to reinstall any of the applications you have downloaded.

User-friendly message to Microsoft Access form's user from Oracle server

I put statment like this
RAISE_APPLICATION_ERROR (-20001, 'You forgot to enter date') in before insert trigger, so I see in my access form this message, but also a lot of statments like:
Insert failed,
ORA-06512: at ....., line 11
ORA-04088: error during execution of trigger ...
Is there a possibility to leave only this user friendly message 'You forgot to enter date!', isn't it?
I would be very fankfull! Please help
