Subscription renew process not user friendly

This morning I restarted my Mac, as it was switched off over the weekend to save power.
I opened Dreamweaver.
A dialog popped up: "Renew your subscription: Go to the Subscription Manager to renew your subscription for Creative Cloud Membership and continue using your product uninterrupted. "
I clicked 'Subscription Manager'.
This took me to the Creative Cloud page: https://creative.adobe.com/
There were no instructions here on how to renew my subscription.
Do I need to reinstall each of the apps I am currently using via the Download links (which open Adobe Application Manager)? This is inconvenient because it means waiting for each of these apps to be downloaded.
The whole process is really un-user-friendly and is creating a very slow start to the week as I cannot resume any work until my apps are reactivated.
If this is to be a regular occurence is there some way for me to schedule this reinstall process to a time that is convenient for me (eg Friday afternoons every 3 months) so that I do not have these slow starts to the working week?

You can renew your subscription by going to the "My Adobe" page on Adobe.com: https://www.adobe.com/account.html. From there, click on "My subscriptions and services" under "My products and services". You will be taken to a page that shows your Creative Cloud subscription with an option to renew. You should not need to reinstall any of the applications you have downloaded.

    I feel you are selling a product that does not work.  Seeing all the msgs stating this, I feel you should pull the product.  I got taken - you should refund - knowing you have a product that is defective.  I learned - word of mouth is the best advertising you will get and I will post on my Facebook - do not buy from Adobe!

    There's no monthly subscription to Adobe Reader. It's a free product that doesn't require subscription or payment of any kind.

    I have had my Blackberry Curve since last spring and still do not find it user friendly.  The online guide states how to make categories for the memo pad but stops there and does not explain how to save new memos within those categories.  I go back and forth and cannot figure out how to do it.   After pressing many buttons I finally manage to get it where it belongs but have no idea how and when I try adding another go through the same thing.   I had a Palm previously; it was so easy, just make the cateogry, click on it  and then click add new.    Now I click on the category, then new memo and after that the entry goes into outer space somewhere because I cannot find it.   Just clicking save does not work.    Sometimes I can find the entire list of items in every category but cannot figure out how I did it because there is no actual option to do that.  I often wish I had gone with a different smartphone but am locked in now for another 2+ years with basically a phone but nothing else.    I am still using the smartphone part of my Palm for data, memos, etc., because it is so much easier to use; unfortunately I cannot get another battery for it so its use wll be gone when the battery does.    .I wanted a smartphone so I just had to carry one device; now I am back to carrying two, a Palm PDA and a Blackberry phone.   .      

    Actually I did get these replies in my e-mail, thanks.   However, I did finally toss the Blackberry and got an iPhone.  It is so much easier to use, right out of the box I was able to  make calls whereas it took me some considerable time to figure out how to even do that with the BB.     And the Memo section on it great, very easy to use, not to mention the other basic apps like calendar and contacts.   Very user friendly.    .

    Very strange! All of my calendar events have reappeared. This has happened one week after downloading iOS 7
    The calendar however,  is not easy to use.
    The typing function on the phone has  become even slower. Have to wait for each letter to show on screen.

  • This is old. ITunes doesnot have a support you can call to get things done.  There needs to be an easier way to contact them? The screens are not user friendly.

    I completely agree!! I'm starting to really hate iTunes.  I bought a macbook and an iPhone so everything would sync perfectly with no problems.  I have to log into iTunes constantly for downloads and this and that...it's so annoying!! Apple is more concerned about tracking your personal information than they are about users enjoying their music.  It's just a big data collection scam.  iTunes (AND APPLE) you are on very thin ice with me.

  • The new Nokia Pro Cam is not user friendly AT ALL ...

    After the Amber update on my Lumia 920, I downloaded the new Nokia Pro Cam app, due to most people claiming that it produces very good quality photos. I agree that the photos clicked using Pro Cam are of better quality than those clicked with  the built in camera app. But this Pro CAM is not at all user friendly.
    First thing is the most frustrating. The built in camera app allows taking photos by just touching anywhere on the screen, but the Pro Cam required you to touch one specific spot on the screen for this purpose. This is highly inconvenient, especially when taking self photos using the main camera. I know that the photo can be clicked even using the camera launch button, but this serves no purpose because pressing that button actually shakes the phone a bit and makes the photo blurry.
    The next thing is, the settings of Pro Cam are denoted by symbols and not text. Camera professionals may feel comfortable with these images, but for the common man, its really difficult to understand what these symbols actually mean. I don't understand how Nokia came up with the idea of complicating matters by replacing the text with symbols for settings.
    Finally, there are no settings at all for the front camera, which is also a disappointment becasue we're forced to use the deafult settings.
    Hence, in spite of better image quality with this Pro Cam, I'd rather stick with the built-in camera app because the Pro Cam is too cumbersome and tedious to use. So what do you people feel about this Nokia Pro Cam?

    Maybe the following explanations can help.
    1. There is a plus point to this also. Suppose you need to only focus on a subject and not shoot straight away. You can do that by touch the screen where you want to focus, without actually taking the shot. Shot can then be taken by pressing the dedicated on-screen shutter button. 
    I actually prefer it this way. You just can do that in the WP8 camera app.
    2. Here again, all the symbols used are standard photography symbols you will find on any dedicated camera. Even they don't have full names, only symbols. This should not be a major problem, you will learn very quickly what all these symbols mean.
    3. People usually use front camera for video chat (or to check if your hair is ok or not!). The requirement for video chat is that you don't need a very high end image/video quality. Moreover, the front facing camera quality is not that good too, so there is no point is providing all that functionality used for rear camera.
    You can try using Nokia Glam Me lens, to add some post processing to selfies.

  • The new Photos compared to iPhoto is not user friendly

    I have used iPhoto Book functionality to publish a book and it was very intuitive and user friendly. In 1-day I had the 45 pages book done.
    But now with the Photos user interface, I have spent a whole day trying to figure out how it works.
    For example it does not let you move a picture to another part of the page. You have to remove it and place it again. By removing it you have to locate it again in the list of unused pictures. The Unused pictures are place in one row in the bottom and you have to scroll back and forth to find the pictures.
    In iPhoto, you could browse easily inside each theme to choose the most suitable for the purpose. Now this is not possible or at least I did not find out how.
    I read that with Photos, I can see my pictures across all of my devises. The question is how? The help function does not explain it. Do I have to move them in iCloud? When I tried it tells me that I have to buy extra space and nothing more!
    Why did Apple how to change something that was stable and was working all fine? Photos went down twice in 1 day's work. Now it looks more like a "windows" functionality application....

    The second rule of computers:  never upgrade software in the middle of a project.
    That being said, if you had iPhoto 9.6.1 prior to upgrading to 10.10.3 you can still open the iPHoto Library with it and complete your book.  The iPhoto app will still be in the Applications folder.
    If you had an earlier version of iPhoto try the steps listed in this post by Terence Devlin for obtaining iPhoto 9.6.1 from the App Store:

    Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
    If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
    Install the App from the App Store.
    Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

    One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
    iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.
