  • I am told Apple is blocking sending emails in Microsoft Outlook is this correct

I have for approximatly the last 2 months been unable to send emails from the Microsoft Outlook (version for Apple) I always could but have been told by Microsoft this facility has been blocked by Apple to force Apple users to use Mac Mail is this true

Might be good to see what Outlook:Mac users are saying here:

I've used the forerunner of Outlook, MS Entourage, since Jaguar OS 10.2  was the hot Mac OS and never had any issues. Now I have Entourage managing my main mail acount and Apple Mail handling a secondary account and they work fine together.

  • PDFmaker not converting Jpg attachments to emails in Microsoft Outlook 2013

I am having problems converting jpg attachments to emails in Microsoft Outlook 2013 using PDFmaker. I'm running Adobe Acrobat 11 and just updated it to the latest version and that did not solve the problem.
I can convert the emails and Word attachments and can convert the jpgs manually by saving them to my desk top and then adding them as attachments to the resulting PDF but I have several emails each was several attachments that I want to save and it will take me hours to do it manually.
I was thinking there might be some security setting on the jpgs that is preventing PDFmaker from automatically converting them.
I already confirmed that the Preference Conversion Setting is selected to include all attachments in the Adobe PDF. I also unselected the box that reads "block download of external content" but it did not help.

Manual method is a difficult task .You can easily transfer your mails from the Thunderbird to MS Outlook using third party conversion software.i faced the same problem.i tried the following utility. It converts all my Thunderbird accounts to a single PST.you can also try the free demo version of the software.

  • Microsoft Outlook Exchange / Canon Multi function Printer Email Issue

    Hi there
A client of ours has been experiencing strange issues with one particular email address on their Microsoft Outlook Exchange Server and a Canon Imagerunner 1133if
The Canon scanning feature has been registered with all the computers and email addresses on their network. Whenever one of the employees scan a page to their email address, the email is sent and received with no problem whatsoever via Outlook 2010 Exchange,
    running from the exchange server.
Only one email address on their exchange server doesn't receive any of the scans sent to it, even if it did sent successfully??
    1. The email has been set-up correctly on the Canon and Exchange server (The email address syncs new emails and sends them without any hassle, but scanning to the said email, for eg. [email protected], won't show up in their inbox).
Note: We have checked the email on the canon printer and it has been registered correctly.
    2. We have whitelisted ([email protected]) the email on the client's computer, made sure it's not a blocked sender in junk email, checked the exchange email tracking logs, and everything checks out, according to the log the email has been sent successfully,
but for some reason, the email doesn't receive on his personal exchange inbox...all other emails sent to this inbox receives perfectly.
Neither the Canon Printer techs, nor we, can find the issue. If anyone has experienced this particular problem, with this particular printer or setup, please respond, it will be MUCH appreciated.
    Kind regards

I've heard many cases that user unable to scan to Email from Canon Scanner/Printer via Exchange Server. However, in this case, only one email address doesn't receive the scan items from the device, it seems to be none of business of IP/SMTP Port/DNS
or network else, I mean the server site due to the other user is ok. This following factors might be the root:
    1. Email address itself. If necessary, please type the exact address through Canon Imagerunner 1133if and send one thing to the target email address to check the result.
    2. Permission. Check and enable the Anonymous Group on Receive Connector somewhere.
    3. The user's client. Disable all of security application in that user's computer, or logon this account in another machine to test the behavior.
If none of steps above works, please create a new user in AD and then check everything is fine for a new createing user account. Thanks.

  • WAAS Blocking some Microsoft Services

    Hi,
    I am currently running a WAAS POC at a bank and I have run into the following problem;
    - The WAAS core device is placed in-line at the HQ and it seems to block the following Microsoft Services on all the branches that connect through this kit, Microsft Outlook MAPI, Microsoft CIFS and Microsoft Terminal Serices.
Basically remote branch users are complaning that they cannot access the Exchange server through outlook MAPI, they cannot connect to a file server to access scanned documents and they cannot connect to windows terminal services.
Apparently the Core WAE is connecting to a packeteer device that can only do half-duplex hence the WAE is giving a major error that it is running on half-duplex. There is an Tipping point IPS device after the packeeter device but the branches were working well without the WAAS kit hence ruling out that the IPS or packeteer is the problem.
What could be making the WAE to block the microsoft services and not other services like HTTP?
Urgent as Riverbed & Juniper are running a parallel POC and this might affect Cisco's WAAS image!!!
    regards,
    Ed

Hi Zach, we opened a TAC case (SR 609076799) last week, and the tac engineer said he noticed something immediately in the system report.
"I went through the system report on the Core side and saw the following messages:
A new view from the router 172.17.7.4 with the given change number: 17
New web cache in hash compute assignment 10.56.220.1
These two messages combined with Catalyst software version leads me to believe
that the Catalyst IOS could be part of the cause.
In addition to this, I would like to bring your version to the one that BU supports so that
if you continue to experience the issue after the software upgrade, it will be easier.
Please upgrade the IOS version to 12.2(18) SXF14 after making sure that the
version would be suitable for your environment."
And he explained there are known bugs with WCCP in the version of IOS I am running on the 6500's.
I'll double check to make sure we're doing l2 on the 6500's - but the hits I am referring to are on the redirect-list ACL's.
We control which traffic by subnet in the redirect ACL and I look at the counters on those ACL's to see where traffic was incrementing.
61 in was on Router A, 62 in was increminging on Router B.

  • Itunes doesn't recognize the microsoft outlook 2003 on my computer

This is a new install of Windows 7 with Outlook 2003  Outlook 2003 is installed, and has been started to create it's working enviroment.  In the Itunes 10.6.3.25 the only options shown for the address book in the "Sync Contacts with" check box and choices is Windows Contacts, Google Contacts or Yahoo Address book. Outlook 2003 is not shown as a choice.  According to Microsoft Outlook 2007 is supposed to be compatible with Windows 7.
I am at a loss since I can't securely back-up my Iphone until this is resolved.

I found the problem.  I went to lurvely Microsoft looking for updates to Outlook 2003.  I found two security updates from 2012 for the product:
Security Update for Microsoft Office 2003 4-9-2012 office2003-KB2597112-FullFile-ENU
Security Update for Microsoft Office 2003 5-7-2012 office2003-KB2598253-FullFile-ENU
Seems one or both block access by Itunes AND Motorola Tools mobile (probably any other software for accessing/backing up files on a cell phone, ipod, or other syncable device) for that matter to Outlook 2003 so you can add, sync or back-up your contacts and calendar.  Thank You Microsoft for a whole two days of frustration...
I uninstalled Outlook 2003, and re-installed only updated with Office 2003 Service Pack 3:
    Office2003SP3-KB923618-FullFile-ENU

  • Can no longer connect to a Microsoft Outlook Web Access site

    Hi,
    I hope you can help.
I used to be able to access a Microsoft Outlook Web Access site. However recently I am unable to do so. It has a self signed certificate, which I used to choose to accept, and then the browser waits and waits and waits.
I have tried Safari, Firefox, Camino, Flock, Opera, even Internet Explorer. They all behave the same way.
I am not sure when it stopped working. I only log on infrequently. So I do not know if it stopped working after a security update or an OS upgrade.
My Mac is up to date with software updates. I have performed the usual things, repaired permissions etc.
The funny thing is I can connect using Netscape Comunicator under Classic. I have also borrowed a friend's MacBook running leopard, and that works too.
I am wondering if a setting somewhere has become corrputed or inadvertently set incorrectly.
    Thank you in anticipation.
    Ted

    Hi Bryan,
    Thanks for your input.
Unfortunately I cannot get any of the OS X browsers I have tried to get beyond the accepting the site's certificate. All just stall waiting on the Outlook Web Access site. Safari 3.1, Camino, Flock, Firefox (2.0.0.12 and 3 beta 4), Netscape (7.1 and 9), Microsoft's Internet Explorer (thinking that might be more integrated with its Outlook Web Access package).
I have even deleted the certificates from my Keychain (for Safari) or within the other browsers' preferences.
Last night I even re-applied the 10.4.11 combo updater and then checked for software updates to confirm my system was up to date, but again without success when attempting to reach the Outlook Web Access site.
    Thanks anyway.
    Ted

  • How do I use the copy function in microsoft outlook email?, How do I use the copy function in microsoft outlook email?

I can get into my Microsoft Outlook email on my Ipad2.  It will not allow me to copy parts of the email to paste into a program called Papermate that I use for my blog.  Can this be done?

I've copied and pasted between programs. You hold your finger down in the text window or over the text until a little balloon pops up to copy or select all. You will also see two little blue dots, those are 'handles' that you can use to expand the selection box. Select what you want then choose copy
I've then gone into another program, held down my finger in the text box to bring up the 'paste' option and the text transfers

  • BlackBerry Internet Service with Microsoft Outlook Web Access account

I need to switch my 8820 to a new work account.  They use Outlook Exchange 2003, but do not support BES.  I have access via both regular desktop Outlook and also Outlook Web Access (from a different server).   I read the procedure to use BIS in KnowledgeBase KB03133.  After entering my email address and password, I get a message that it was successfully set up.  But, I get no e-mail messages delivered.  When I check  the settings, it looks like it is not using the correct server for Web Access.  However, I can find no way to manually enter it - I don't get the error message described in Step 5 where I can pick "I will provide the settings."  I try to set up via computer but I get a message that my BIS cannot be accessed via HTML and need to set up on my BB.
Any suggestions?  Would it work with a newer phone running a newer OS?  Do I need to check with AT&T if it supports Outlook Web Access?  Thanks in advance.

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Lot's of possible variables...here a several other KBs to try:
KB03133How to integrate a Microsoft Outlook Web Access email address with a BlackBerry Internet Service account
KB18567BlackBerry Internet Service cannot connect to a Microsoft Outlook Web Access account using Microsoft Exchange 2007 or Microsoft Exchange 2010
KB15173Locate the mailbox name for a Microsoft Outlook Web Access 2007 email account
KB04804Error message appears when attempting to integrate a Microsoft Outlook Web Access 2010 account
KB02858Unable to integrate a Microsoft Outlook Web Access email address with a BlackBerry Internet Service account
The trick to getting to the manual settings screen is to provide your valid email address, but an incorrect password...then, it will allow you to manually enter the settings.
    Good luck!

  • Cannot display the folder. Microsoft Outlook cannot access the specified folder location.

    Hi, guys
I cannot view delegate mailbox in Outlook. Following is my configure.
    I have two mailbox A-User and B-User
Login Outlook as A-User, click File -> Account Settings -> Delegate Access, add B-User and give Editor permission of Inbox.
Right click A-User's root inbox and select Properties -> Permission, select B-User and check "Folder visible".
Login Outlook as B-User on other computer, click File -> Account Settings -> Account Settings, select B-User and click Change -> More Settings -> Advanced, add A-User.
Now I can see a root A-User in Navigation Pane. But when I click it, it shows
"Cannot display the folder. Microsoft Outlook cannot access the specified folder location."
    or
"Cannot display the folder. Microsoft Outlook cannot access the specified folder location. The operation failed. An object cannot be found".
I searched some solutions from internet, but all of them don't work. Could you give some suggestions?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
First, please double check if you have given the right permission to B-User on your step 2.
In addition, we can try to give a higher permission to the B-user to check the result.
Please feel free to post back and let me know the result.

  • Email attachments download as ashx for Microsoft Outlook, instead of jpg, pdf, doc, etc. Tried to fix in Preferences Applications but still doesn't work.

Using MacBook Pro running 10.5.8. Downloaded Firefox 8 on 11/9/11 and now Microsoft Outlook Web App 2010 downloads all email attachments as "attachment.ashx" instead of jpg, pdf, etc. This was not a problem with previous Firefox releases which I've been using for the past couple of years. Can open files if I edit the extension to the proper variety (ashx to jpg for example), but no longer initially automatically opens. Instead I first get a "can't open this file" message.  Attempted to fix in Firefox > Preferences > Applications by indicating the proper "Actions" for various "Content Types" but this had no effect. Chrome and Safari browsers still work properly. How can I fix this?
