Then it said I needed to restore the I pad which I clicked to do, it went through all the motions then cam up with an error message on the laptop. Now all I can get is the apple on the screen like when you switch it on or off. I have tried holding the power and home buttons to restart the Ipad but it goes black then comes back to the apple? I have forgotten my password for iPod Touch 4G and it is now disabled. I tried connecting to iTunes but i haven't synced before and i need to enter the password before i can back it up so i can restore it. I don't want to lose pictures so please HELP!
Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased. That is how it works
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
For how to restore:
iTunes: Restoring iOS software
To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode. -

My daughter has entered the wrong passcode too many times on her iPOD Touch, it is now disabled. When I connect to iTunes, it will not let me go any further until I enter the correct passcode. I no longer get the option to do this, all I get is iPOD disabled. Help Please
Restore the iPod from the computer to which the iPod is synced. For information and instructions, see:
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212
If that will not work, you'll need to put the iPod into Recovery Mode and then try the Restore again:

hey please help!
i was using my ipad it was under 10% but no under 4% it turned off then i pluged the charger in and flashed on then showed apple sign after i turned it on. now its going back and forth from the apple sign and battery symbol ive changed chargers its made no differnce its been like 3 hours ive tried to do that reset thing holding lock button and home button for 10 seconds at the same time. WHAT DO I DO?Could be the charger, cable or iPad. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good.
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. i forgot my password for my ipod and tried to restore it now it wont turn on. not sure what to do. HELP?
The first way you can connect the iPod to the computer it was originally configured on, and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked. You then can go into the preferences and turn off the lock. If you don’t have access to the original computer or it just does not work, you can jump to the second method. The best fix for any iPod problem is the classic “restore your iPod to factory settings.” That this will erase all data on your iPod and take you back to day one, but you can just add your music and data back to iPod from iTunes. This is the true benefit of the iPod / iTunes relationship.

Hi, M_ghaderi.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If your device is not recognized by iTunes, I would recommend the steps in the article below. Start with the section labeled Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed > For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 > Update the Apple Mobile Device Driver.
