I have an iPad screen problem where the display is all white. It can only be put back by attaching and detaching the Apple Smart Cover (original from Apple).
Now the screen has a white "halo", it seems the white screen burned the LED or something.
I'll take this to the Apple shop later... but since this is Manila, it's just a "premium reseller", not an actual Apple store with Apple geniuses and technicians...
Smart cover is 21-days old. iPad is 14 mos old. iOS 7.0.4
Is there any fix without having to send it back? Unfortunately I think my ipad is out of warranty. I am in the Philippines.

Try resetting it. Press the home and power button down for about 10 seconds no then turn it back on.

  • My Ipad 2 screen is blue but i can still se the apps

    Hello,
I went to use my ipad today and the screen was blue. I was still able to see all the materials on the screen, but it was clouded by the blue of the screen. I tried a hard reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons, and the Ipad just restarted with the apple logo over a blue screen. I also tried restoring it through my computer and I also go the same results. Now the screen flickers while blue. I am assuming I will have to go the apple store at this point, but I just wanted to get an idea of what the heck was going on, because Ijust used my ipad last night and it was fine.

I tried that technique but it still doesn't work.  It seems that my home button is not working at the same time and the power button.  but it does reset with the power button if I press it for a moment.

  • IPad mini screen problems

A section of my brand new iPad minis screen keeps going blank, black or extremely pixelated though the screen sensor still works in that area. It used to come and go but currently it seems to be permanent. What to do????

Doesn't matter where you bought it, it's still covered by Apple's 1-year warranty.
Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation.

  • IPad mini screen problem

A small part of my iPad Mini screen is unresponsive. that  part is like a horizontal strip ran acrosa my iPad. sometimes it magically heal itself but most of the time it is unresponsive.

The only thing I can thing of remotely similar is in Guided Access where you can turn off parts of the screen. Next time it happens try triple cloicking the home button to turn Guided Access off. If triple clicking doesn't help it sounds like time for a visit to the Genius Bar at the Apple Store.

  • IPad Air color problem - blues look purple

I just upgraded from an iPad 2 to the iPad Air, and right away noticed that anything that should be blue is clearly and distinctly purple. It's most noticeable in things such as the Facebook app and links in Safari. At first I thought I could live with it or adjust to it, but it's kind of driving me crazy. Compared side by side, the difference in colors is extremely obvious.
My questions are a) is anyone else having this problem, and b) is it worth taking it back and getting another one to see if the screen is any different, or are all the displays at this point going to have this same basic color temperature?

So, is this a universal problem or not?!  Mine has the same coloring problem.  In Safari, e.g., on Macsurfer.com, all the blue underlined links are *purple*!!
Sure enough, when you tap on one--i.e., a visited link--it changes to a deeper purple, showing it's been visited.  But it's incredibly disgracing to go to a site and see all the NEW links in PURPLE!!
Any fixes other than return?  And , on a return, what's to say that the next one won't have the same problem--or worse, the other displays issues that have been mentioned.
Incidentally , should the background color of a *white* page in iBooks look *gray*?!  Alas, it does!

  • Yet another iPad mini screen problem

I have a screen issue with my iPad Mini WiFi, i searched the forums but I couldn’t find anything related to my problem.
There are times when I unlock the device (manually or with the smart cover) which the screen gets messed up at the left side only, kinda scrambled and distorted almost like when you try to switch a higher resolution to a monitor and it doesn’t supported.
I don’t know how else to explain it so i made a picture using Photoshop since i can't take a picture: http://i43.tinypic.com/ddkpqr.jpg
When this occurs it goes away after 1 second but it’s happening more and more often now. Could be this a hardware problem?

To answer my question, i found this topic that looks a lot like my problem only in smaller scale: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2497498?start=0&tstart=0. Looks like a hardware problem after all

  • IPad 16GB screen problem. Screen doesn't work as it should.

Dear all, I would like to share with my issue. I got an IPad as a gift and started to use it... My happiness last one hour as after that on my eyes the screen started to show picture in green color and as if you watch TV with bad antenna. I would be happy to get this device back to the store, but there's a small issue. I'm located in Russia and to send it back to the store would be not easy. I wonder if I'm the only unlucky man with such a problem and are there any ideas if it is hardware or software problem. I assume it looks like bad connection between screen and main board... I made a video with my cell, but the quality is not as good. this is the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbk1enRFISY/watch?v=kbk1enRFISY
Please help! I would love to solve this issue ASAP. Maybe there's the way to test IPad hardware in a special mode...
    Thanks!

I bought two iPads one week ago in Orlando Florida. I have been using one of them for a week with no problem. Last Sunday I return to my country (Argentina) and when I tried to sync my iPad with itunes, it was imposible. Tried everything but nothing happend. I think the usb internal chip of my ipad has a failure. Then I connect my other iPad. it worked fine for 20 minutes, and then i noticed the screen issue that you talk about. So I have two new iPads and both with technical failure. I am very dissapointed. The big problem is that I don't live in USA. So, what should i do??? Please, tell me if you find a way to get the iPad repaired. Thanks!

  • Blue spot on iPad Air

My iPad Air has a blue spot about 2 inches long on the screen. When I turn my iPad off it it lass than half of that size. How do I fix it?

Your iPad Air is still under warranty.  If this is not something superficial (a blemish you could remove -- I believe it is not such a blemish), and if it is not something that is your fault (e.g., dropped the iPad), then take it to an Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service Center for diagnosis and repair under warranty.
