IPad 2 - worked fine with ios6, but since upgrade ios 7 unstable system

Have had to restore many times from iTunes...for no reason, the system just dropped with iTunes icone.
Except that since Saturday 31 may 2014 I get error (9).
Have tried many times on different computers with no result.
The restore procedure stops after having unpacked the ios7, iTunes message "checking restore with Apple..." the iPad shows Apple logo and when the bar starts to fill, the system reloads !

I see you have processed some troubleshooting steps already and the issue persists. There are just a couple more that I could recommend. I would also try restoring the device on another known good network.
Configure your security software
Related errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1000, 1611, 9006, 9807, or 9844. Sometimes as a result of this issue, a device might stop responding during the restore process.
Check your security software and settings, which can block ports and prevent connection to Apple servers during update and restore.

After a week's worth of debugging, I found the issue.
The Java type returned from the call was defined as ArrayList. Changing it to List resolved the problem.
I'm not sure why ArrayList isn't a valid return type, I've been looking at the Adobe docs, and still can't see why this isn't valid. And, why it works in Debug mode and not in Release build is even stranger. Maybe someone can shed some light on the logic here to me.

I don't know what they call it, but my plantronics voyager pro, and my wifes plantronics voyager pro+ will not let you hear music through the headset. My Blueant T1 does support it and plays the music through the deadset.

I have the latest edition of the Flash player and it works fine with IE but Firefox keeps telling me I can play things because I dont have it

Since I updated Firefox I cant play anything that requires Flash player. I have the up to date player and it works perfectly with IE but Firefox keeps telling me I need another plug in and when I follow the instructions it says 'download failed try manual download' but even that fails too.
Before I updated Firefox I had no issues, can you help

We have a report with EVALUATE function , which is working fine with Administrator User but when we run for other users its giving following error.

Is there any parameters that we have to set for the user level to use Evaluate ?

You can create a compound key of Cat + SubCat (concatenation in a logical column is a quick win) which will render the SubCats unique and assign that as the logical level key:
SubCat:
A-Basic
A-Value Add
A-High

Works fine here on Linux. Make sure that you do not block [[JavaScript]].
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Apple TV working fine with Wireless, but not on Ethernet

I just got an Apple tv for my B-day and I can't get the Ethernet port to work.
It works fine on wireless but if i plug in the cable to my 5 port switch that then goes to my router it will not login to the store, or sync or fine youtube. It has and ip and everything. I tried opening that port 38 something. And no go? Does anyone have any ideas?
I have a 2wire router, and one 5 port switch, the PS3, Wii and Xbox all work on the switch just fine.
I even upgrade to firmware 2.01

I have tried another ethernet cable but no go. I'm going to get a new one at the store today. As for the IP. the first time I plugged it in the IP was way diffrent from the one on my router so i manually added the new ip and subnet mask etc etc. And still no go. It is seen in itunes but tells me it can't sync. And if i go to the Apple TV it will not open any of the web enabled features. No you tube, no store, no nadda.

James, thank you. I'm experiencing the same issue and submitted feelback at that link. I'm trying to use the same pumpkin image I used last year for Halloween on my lock screen and attempting to follow instructions (Move and Scale) and would like to make the image smaller so that it appears BELOW the time and date, but although I'm able to move the image, I'm unable to scale it - make it smaller. I've since tried this with several other photos with the same outcome. It seems that in iOS 7 one can make images bigger, but not smaller. I'm not sure what the logic behind that could be.

Airport Express works fine with iBook but isn't seen by Dell laptop

I have an Airport Express connected to the internet which is automatically recognized by my iBook & works fine. My roomate has a dell laptop running Windows XP and it doesn't recognize the network. In other words usually when the wireless card recognizes a network it pops up in the taskbar and it isn't with the airport. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

At first we could plug the Dell in directly but that was before setting up the AX. Now that the AX works the Dell cannnot connect even wired. (It says that it's connected but it cannot find server when you try to open a webpage). Could this be a problem that the moden cannot go between Mac & windows?
Most modems tend to "remember" the last device connected to it, so it's important to do a complete power-down/power-up when switching devices. It's possible that your modem did this when you attempted to connect the PC directly. My purpose of having you connect the PC directly was to verify that it can access the Internet with a wired connection and that it's wireless setting needs to be troubleshot further.
The power recycle process should be something like the following:
- Power-off the modem & AX; If possible, leave the modem off overnight.
- Power-on the modem; Wait at least 30 minutes.
- Power-on the AX; Wait at least 5 minutes.

Itunes will not detect my new nano. HELP! I have a dell with vista. my old shuffles work fine with itunes, but it will no longer detect my nano. Apple says my nano is fine.

I've worked with Apple 2 times. The first time we spent 2 hours on the phone uninstalling and reinstalling itunes, quicktime and other software and it worked for a while. Now, once again, itunes will not recognize my 6th generation nano. My old shuffle works fine. I sent the nano to apple and they shipped it back stating it was fine after upgrading firmware. No device can actually measure a speed of zero. It can only specify that the speed is less than some minimum, which depends on how long you are willing to wait for an answer.
I do not know anything about your instrument, but I would guess that you are getting an error which is the equivalent of "The instrument has waited the maximum permissible amount of time and did not detect any measurable motion." This is the instrument's way of saying that the speed may be zero, or very slow, or something is broken so that it cannot make a measurement but it cannot detect the problem.
Look at the manual for you instrument to see how it responds to the zero speed condition. This error may be normal. If so, you need to capture the particular error code and handle it however you think is appropriate.

restart the wifi router (you can just pull the plug unless the router documentation say otherwise)
if it does not help then make sure that your wifi router is not using the same ssid (default is often netgear or linksys or whatever the brand is) as other close by wifi networks as that could result in 1 or more of your devices connecting to another network then you think they are using
and if your wifi channel is the default if many close by wifi networks use the same channel it will cause disturbance
and if your wifi network is running 2.4Ghz then it's a rather busy frequency dect phones, microwave ovens and tons of other things use the same frequency so if one have the option of changing to 5Ghz it's less busy == give less disturbances

That image means that it's gone into recovery mode - you will need to connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes (you will need the current version of iTunes installed on your computer)and you should be able to use that to reset your iPad back to factory defaults, you can then restore/resync your content to it.
