IPad Nano Won't automatically Advance to next song in *specific* Playlist, shuffle is enabled

I have a 4th generation iPod Nano that was working properly up until last week, and now it's not working for no apparent reason.
There is a playlist I use to work out with, and all of a sudden it stopped automatically advancing to the next/ another song when the first song in the playlist is over. It just stops all together and goes back to the main playlist screen.
Shuffle has been enabled in both the settings and within the playlist but nothing has changed:(
It's working properly with all other playlists. Super weird. I just reset my ipod and I have the latest version of iTunes and Ipod software. Nothing.
Any suggestions??

Have you tried removing and resyncing this playlist to your iPod via iTunes?  Are the songs on this playlist in any other playlist on your device?
Do the songs otherwise play normally on your device?

Hi, I'm new to this and for some reason my images are not appearing to full scale on adobe premiere cs6. This is really annoying as I am trying to make a stop motion video but I can't see what I'm doing. Please reply soon, this is an important project. Thanks
Your sequence settings and clip settings are not matching. To make them match, right click on a clip and choose New Sequence from Clip and a new sequence will be created based on your clip settings.

    Hello there, RufusChloe.

  • Automatically playing a single song from a playlist

Is there a way to set the iPod to play only a single selection from a playlist then stop; i.e. not going on to the next playlist selection?
I want to use the iPod in performances but cannot have it advancing to (and playing) the next song on my playlist. I need it to simply play the track I select, then stop until I play another track.
    Help please!

You could put each song in it's own playlist. Then the song would stop at the end. When you want to go on to the next song, move to the next playlist and press play.

  • ITunes 8 does not automatically advance to next track in album or playlist

iTunes 8 was recently installed for me by the company on my company laptop. This was done automatically by LANDesk. (We call this being LANDesked. I was forced by LANDesk to reboot my computer twice yesterday, but I digress.)
iTunes does not automatically advance to the next track in an album or playlist, either in list view or grid view.
List View: I can play any song in an album by double-clicking it or by selecting the track and pressing the play button. When it gets to the end of that track, it does not automatically advance to playing the next track. Pressing Ctrl-Right stops the current track and does not play the next track. The Next button is active and it, too, stops the current track and does not play the next track.
Grid View: Play Album button appears to be active but does nothing.
Is there some setting I'm missing that was set to do this in iTunes 7 but not in 8?

Thanks. That fixes the problem. I'm an idiot.
I thought the check boxes were for selecting which tracks get synced to my iPod or iPhone. I must have unchecked them all (before the installation of iTunes 8) when I was trying to figure out how to sync a 2nd computer (this one) to my iPhone.
I can't find anything in the iTunes help about this necessary fact for playing your albums and playlists. If you look on the Index tab of the help, neither check nor uncheck are found in the list. If you search for check, you eventually find, amongst all the pages, that you need to have tracks checked in order to burn them to a CD and to import them from a CD, but I find nothing about checking to play tracks. Also, the help is very confusing on the difference between selecting one or more songs and checking the check boxes of one or more song. These seem to be used interchangeably occasionally.

  • HT4623 iPad air won't automatically connect to wi fi unless I turn off and back on again??

My iPad air will not automatically connect to wi fi unless I turn off and then back on again, any suggestions as to why?

    Hello Juanita289
Check out the article below to troubleshoot issues with connecting to WI-Fi. You may want to reset the Network Settings by going to Settings > General > Reset  > Reset Network Settings. It will not delete remove any personal data besides and known Wi-Fi networks that you have joined in the past.

  • PLAYLIST WONT ADVANCE TO NEXT SONG

So out of no where my playlist keeps playing the same song.  It wont advance to the next song.  No idea what happened.  It worked fine yesterday

Not sure which Nano you have, but if it's the 6th gen, have a look at page 21 of the manual (download here).

  • Coverflow View: How to advance to next song?

    Hi,
Hope this isn't a FAQ, but didn't find anything on it...
In Coverflow view, is it possible to advance to the next song?
    TIA.

If you touch the albums that are displayed you can also browse the albums without changing the song that is playing.
If you find an album you prefer, rather than what you are listening too, touch the upper right portion of that album (looks like a cross hatch) and the album will reverse and display a list the songs that are contained in the album.
You can can individually select songs off the back of the album.

  • My nano won't sync with new music added to my playlist & it won't reset

I have the nano (6th generation) & from time to time I have had to reset it to download new music.  About 3 months ago I transferred my Itunes to a new computer & had to reset my nano.  I tried to add new music to my playlist & it will not sync.  I have tried to reset my nano with all the suggestions given & still nothing.

Did you find an answer for your issue?
I have an iPhone 6 and there are 5,059 songs on my phone but only 2,171 are actually playable, the rest are grey'd out as though they are about to sync up. When I first added them to the phone (a group of a few hundred at a time) since it glitched when I tried to add too many at once they all played fine but then a week later a weird sync notice showed up and suddenly half my library is inaccessible.

  • How do I disable "up next" on itunes 11 (or at least make it play the next song in my playlist and not some random one)

ITunes 10 was great and I heard nothing but horror stories about 11 so I didn't upgrade until I got my new computer and pushed my music over.  In fact, I accidentally hit update and disconnected my computer from the Internet to stop it from happening, but was too late and now I'm stuck with it.
When I play a song and the song ends, instead of playing the next song on the list, it plays some random other song.  When I "clear list," iTunes doesn't play anything at all.  What gives?  What happened to the greatest media player?  As a pro audio engineer, I've got over 150Gb of music and this just doesn't fly.  I HAVE to have my music in order and if iTunes can't do that, what is its purpose?
    Help, please.

iTunes 11 works fine on my computer...   I think you need to check the "Shuffle" settings in all of your playlists, including the main library...   It sounds like for whatever reason, iTunes is automatically shuffling your playlists...

  • Ipad nano won't play anything

I was listening to my ipod Nano (6th Gen) and it just stopped working. I've reset my ipod Nano 6th Gen a couple times and it still won't play any of the music/podcasts i have stored on it. My computer won't recognize it either. Please help...

    Hey there,
There could be corrupt file somewhere within the software or from one of the songs itself. I would try a Restore of the iPod.
Restoring the iPod will delete all the music and files from the iPod. So before doing so, I would make sure you have it all backed up on your computer if possible. As long as everything that she has on her ipod is on the computer, then restoring it should be no problem. Instructions on restoring your iPod can be found below.
