IPhone 4 Bumper scuffing
I have had the Apple Bumber on my iPhone 4 for a couple of weeks now, and I find it is beginning to show scuff spots on the "brushed" steel band. Is anyone else having this problem?
I am very eager to get a better third party case once someone like Incase releases something decent so I can ditch what feels and works like something from the dollar store.

My brother walked into covent garden street store in London and they simply replaced the phone on the spot, i say simply because actually they were very rude and dismissive and didnt want to help. In the end they had no choice, he got a new phone and vouchers for the terrible bumpers which don't do anything other than ruin the phone.
Worst product launch in the history of phones if you ask me. Apple have gone down hill big time.

Right I'm afraid this is yet another iPhone bumper complaint. But I need some additional help or support.
Right I brought my iPhone 4 last august and has just expired it's warranty, I do not have any additional cover plans either. In late august 2010 I signed up for my free iPhone bumper to help improve my signal issues. I have recently taken off my bumper to discover my steel antenna band unfortunately scratched quite bad. I've inspected the bumper inside and I've seen like a small peice of rough plastic sticking out and a scratch Mark in the same position on the iPhones band, and there are other scratches from the case too.
Now I would like to know if I could get my antenna band replaced by apple? Free or at a cost? Also does anybody know of an email address I can use to contact apple or the correct phone number as I cannot make sense of their 'contact me' section on their website, I'm from the UK. An email would be preferred if possible. I have also seen on some discussions that people have had their iPhones replaced weather apple still do this I don't know? So any feedback would be so greatly appreciated as I'm disappointed my phone now looks like this as i will be looking to upgrade to the new iPhone and sell this one.

AlexAll cases scratch all iPhones, from the Original to the iPhone 4. This is a side-effect of the overall protection they provide. Dust dirt and debris get inside the case and cause abbrasions, there is really no way to avoid this, cleaning helps but can't stop every bit of wear.
Put the bumper back on your iPhone, it will protect it, and make it look nice. -
IPhone bumper case is leaving marks on my iPhone 4...
My iPhone bumper case has been leaving marks on my iPhone 4 on the stainless steal band that and I can't get it off, is this common for the bumper case to leave marks?
It seems as if plastic contacting the metal band may leave some marks. I know my Otterbox Commuter case has left some by the speaker grilles. This post is a bit unfortunate since I decided to order a bumper not too long ago.
You could buy a screen protector that comes with band protection, or some band protectors. -

Does anyone have any idea of if and when Apple bumper cases will be available for the Verizon iphone (since the existing bumpers won't work, as the ringer switch has been moved a tiny bit)?

I got my iPhone 5 a couple months ago. Out of the box, it had scuffs on it, by each antenna. When I first got it, I didn't worry about it. But now, I am. If I were to exchange my iPhone 5 now, would I get a new one or a refurbished one? (I have Apple Care)
take it to the apple store if your 30 day return policy and your really not happy with the phone and scratches then you can return it. If they try to tell you they dont have any to exchange tell them to take your info down and call you when they get a shipment in and you have every right to return the device.

DO NOT buy the iPhone bumper if you plug anything into the headphone jack other than Apple's supplied headphones. Many auxiliary cables won't work with this case because they won't fit snugly due to Apple's case design, the hole cut out for the headphone jack is too small and restrictive. Just a heads up so you don't waste $30 like I did.
It might be possible because the material around that area is rubber, but for most auxiliary cables, they have a pretty fat rubber casing around the actual plug so you would have to make the hole significantly bigger which could ruin the case. I could just try and find a different aux cable but the one I have hooked up to the back of my car stereo is too big and would be a real pain to swap out. I think Apple kinda forgot about this important part when designing this case.

I'm thinking about getting an iPhone 4 bumper for my iPhone 4s. But will this fit my iPhone 4s? Apple say it fits both phones but I don't want to waste £26 for nothing!
Look for the NEW model. The one you can order off of Apple's website will be a new model. The model number will say iPhone 4 Bumper instead of IPHONE 4 BUMPER. The packaging is also different being that the text saying iPhone Bumper on the front has been lowered.

I'm trying to connect my iphone 5 to my 2007 BMW Z4. I want to get white one.Oh okay. Well, I've just had a look at the actual product in the store, and it said currently unavailable, which you probably knew already. Maybe your best bet would be to check after September 30 (I know it is so far away) since that is the date that you can no longer order a free one. Other than that I would suggest to ask at your local genius bar, or see if your carrier/service provider has any for sale.
One more option I believe you have is to buy one not directly affiliated with the Apple brand. Yes, it is slightly more risky to have a non-apple brand, but since it's just a bumper you could ask to put it on before paying for it. see if it fits.

Accessing iPad keyboard dock with iPad in its case
I got the keyboard dock, but it doesn't seem to connect when the iPad is in its official Apple fold-over case. It's a pain to take it in and out of the case and I'm trying to decide if that's a dealbreaker. Surely, Apple thought of that, right???
We have an adapter for this purpose. It extends everything and is even small enough to fit into an iPhone bumper.

Apple shipped my bumper but charged for iPhone
I ordered an iPhone 4 on the 29th then two days later I ordered a white bumper. My phone is supposed to ship the 21st and bumper the 23rd. Yesterday I was charged for the phone so I checked order status and my bumper was shipped but my phone isn't even prepared for shipment.
Has anyone else had anything like this happen?Sounds to me like you ordered 2 items that were not in stock and the bumper came in stock first so it is being shipped first. Your orders have nothing to do with each other, just be happy your bumper is shipping.

time capsule only allows 2 devices at a time as a router. If I am using the iphone and macbook pro, it bumps the roku offline. Any suggestions?
At a guess you have cable internet connection.. please confirm exactly what you have.. two public IPs are allowed by some ISP.. once you use up the two IPs, there are no more..
Make sure the TC is in router mode. And to get it working you probably need to shut off the cable modem.. if it has battery backup remove the battery.. try 5min off .. if not long enough try 20min off. then overnight. The ISP equipment must reset to allow a new MAC address to capture the IP.
If you cannot work it out.. plug in the old router again.. and set the TC to bridge mode.. which I suspect it is in now.. and plug it into the main router.. it should work fine like that. -
What are Apple doing to compensate for the damage caused by the iPhone 4 bumper?
I have noticed damage caused by the bumper.
It is NOT foreign object but caused by the hard plastic on the inside of the bumper
(plese do not come out with rubbish like steel is harder than plastic) I am not stupid and I know that the damage matches the pattern of the bumper skeleton.
What I want to know is when are Apple going to deal with this and replace my phone?
I dare not go to the so called Genius bar in Milton Keynes as they have adopted a Dixons style "fob off" attitude and I will become rather angry with them.Re: What are Apple doing to compensate for the damage caused by the iPhone 4 bumper?

Finally I am a consumer who has paid for a product that is not living up to expectations. The plastic skelton is hard and abrasive (I know what that means as I went to School) Abrasion's are marking the product.
This is not the only time this has been reported and as such I have no issue with particles entering the bumber. This has happened from the start (when I used Apples stupid bumber case)
Please don't patronise or TROLL others threads.
