IPhone 4 voice/data connection issues?

I've had my iPhone 4 for around 6 months now. Lately I've been dropping a lot of out-going calls and have had some issues receiving calls in the last few days. Today I've had 3 voice mail notifications from people who have tried to call me and could not get through. It rings through to voicemail and sends me a notification after they're done recording. I have anywhere from 2 to 4 service bars, usually averaging at 3 in this location.
On top of the voice and call issues, I've been having problems with GPS and location services lately, too. I use the Waze app for directions. My phone will register 3G data signal, but none of the apps that use GPS can find any location. I have Location Service turned on in settings and have no problem starting my routes when I have wifi signal at home before I leave.

Iphone data connectivity issue

Me and my wife are having problems with our iphones data connectivty with 3g (for the iphone 4s) and 3g&LTE (for the iphone 5). Although the cellular signal is frequently 4 or five bars, most often than not, we cannot browse or use any app because the data connection seems hanged. We always resort to either enabling/disabling the airplane mode, turning the cellular data off and on OR turning off and on the device and the browsing will be normal again and our apps able to access the internet. This experience is becoming a disappointment and we hope you could help us. Im sure we are not an isolated case as most of my friends complain similar experience. Thanks in advance.

Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network settings.
If the issue continues, basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
It may also be necessary to contact the carrier to troubleshoot the issue.

Iphone 5s Data/baterry issue after upgrade IOS 8.2

Hi,
I updated my iPhone 5s to iOS 8.2, and now I have the below issues:
Network Signal in an area where i have full signal before now it is weak. I have also lost all Data Connection in an area where i always get 4g
Battery big problem, since I need to charge at least 2 times during the day, and night time with all apps off if I have left 40% battery the phone will go off at 06 a.m.
My WI-FI keeps losing connecting for any apps, this is not an issue with my provider since all other devices work fine.
Phone temperature will go high, enough to fry an egg.
I did install the IOs 8.2 a second time using Itunes SW and did not improve a bit.
What should I do to have this fix? I don't have any more a smart phone or a mobile phone.
Is Apple doing all these SW releases with a proper test?
I'm very good engineer, if required I can help to improve this service.... , well only if this is a way to sell more Iphones 6?

I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues with your iPhone; I know how frustrating that can be. If you continue to have multiple issues with your iPhone, especially if they began shortly after a software update/upgrade and persist after a reinstall, you may want to make sure you have your data backed up, then try restoring your iPhone to factory settings (which will install a fresh copy of the OS) and testing it in that default state before moving your data back. Iphone 5 3G connection issue

My phone 3G connection is full of bar, but the speed is very slow, so i try to switch on and off the cellular data, then the speed is faster back. is quite annoying of this problem.

Trying to keep this thread alive. I had luck with what I discuss there.
I want to add to that:
After restoring from an icloud backup from my 4s, I never allowed my new iphone 6 to create its own new backup. I didn't have enough space on my icloud account. I meant to upgrade the space but every time it asked I didn't have my CC around (it wanted to verify my cc info)... so I just cancelled and figured I would do it later. After deleting both the old and incomplete new backup... my wifi connectivity issues went away. (who knows why?)
This has worked for a few hours now.. Something is for sure different. Anyone with this issue try this and let us know how it works .

iphone5s wifi is **** slow since I updated it to ios 8.0.2 It isn'tmy router because my laptop and PC
are fine.my wifi is working fine even on Samsung Galaxy s3. I am able to stream movie on youtube on S3 but not on Iphone 5s. even whats up messages take long to download on iphone 5s.
I have tried the following on the devices and nothing has changed!
Turned Wifi on and off
Forget Wifi network add again
Reset Network Settings
Erase all content and restore from iTunes backup
Erase all content and restore as a new device
Disabling WiFi in location services >does nothing
Disabling location services entirely >does nothing
Changed the network type to WPA in my router to Personal or MixedWPA2/WPA -PSK. Rebooted router.
I amfrustrated beyond belief! I shouldn't even have to try all these things and I'm even more frustrated the only way I can use my devices is by pulling from my Airtel cellular hotspot and use my data!
This needs to get fixed ASAP!
It seems like there is no Solution for IOS 8.0.2 Wifi Problem. We have to wait until apple release new update that may fix it.

Xml data connection issue.

I have created an XML data connection in xcelsious that reads data from xml file and creates the stacked bar chart. Also used connection refresh button to refresh the data from xml file.
For using xml data connection we have to give the fix structure of xml file, like we have to add range according to the data source and also have to give the name of range in xml file.
The issue is if data is changed at run time then the xml file structure will not be fixed, in that case bar chart shows only the data of the range given in xml data connection and new data is not shown by the connection.
For example if we want to show the monthly revenue of some areas in stack bar chart, but the number of areas are not fixed. So we canu2019t fix the number of stacks [number of range] in xml data connection. In that case it only shows the no of areas that are fixed in xml data connection.
Is there any way to change the range in xml data connection so new changed data can also be displayed in bar chart or is there some other way so we donu2019t have to fix the structure of xml file?

LUMIA 730 data connections issue found

This is the second problem i have notified in my lumia 730 after 10 days usage. I can't find the data connection switch to turn off after surfing a long while in 2g connection. And the same appears after restarting the phone. My phone takes to much time for shutdown as it shows "GOODBYE" message for atleast 60 seconds.
For information - I am using transcend 8gb class-2 SDHC memory card and i had stored 30apps (3.62gb apps including asphalt8). Please give me a solution to solve this issue.

I just got my first W8P a Lumia 730 and after few days of usage I becoming to like it & almost recommend it to others until recenty. I am experiencing exactly the same problem like on this thread and on the shared screeshoots. During this state my phone's cellular+sim settings is deactivated by itself. My phone is unreachable and couldnt make an outgoing call even I had active networks & full networks coverage. If try to dial it doesnt call and it doesnt cancell my current dialed number. I have to restart the phone by hard pressing the switch to make it usable again. It takes something like 2 minutes to restart. When connecting to WiDi thru Miracast, it will disconnect after few seconds. I had 32gb class10 microSDHC attached, one of the best in the market as they advertized but I suffered accasional crashed. Checking your phone's network setting from time to time worrying that you may miss an important call is the last thing we want from our phone. I'd like to ask your technical support I supposed I am on the right site, please help us.

Has anyone found a solution for iPhone 5 data leak issues?

Up until about a week ago I was using a 3GS and the data leak issues seemed to be fixed with the newest iOS 6 update. However, I recently got an iPhone 5 and I've noticed it uses around 1 MB per hour no matter what I'm actually doing on the phone. I actually went to sleep last night, turning of cellular data AND wifi and it STILL used about 4 MB of data!! What is up with this?? I am a pretty conservative user of data when not on wifi, but I'm only 2 days in to my bill cycle and already on pace to go over my 2 GB limit by the end of the month. Please help! I do not want to switch my plan and play more! I am on AT&T by the way.

Droid DNA Mobile Data Connectivity Issues

   I have the HTC Droid DNA, about 6 weeks old, and for some reason my phone has randomly started to lose connection to mobile data. I've never dropped it or spilled anything on it, so I don't understand why this is happening. I've tried turning my phone off and on again, changing the preffered network to global and back to LTE, and removing and re-inserting the SIM card..but it still randomly happens. My phone can be fine for a week and then it will randomly just disconnect from mobile data again.
   My first question is why do I pay for this when I have to sometimes wait for more than an hour for mobile data to come back? My second question is does anybody else with the DNA get this problem? I realize that when you have Wi Fi activated it would automatically disconnect you; however, this isn't related to my issue. I've turned Wi Fi off and that's when I get the mobile data disconnected issue. This HAS to be corrected. I'm not paying over $100 a month for data when I can't even use it when I need to.

Hello, I have been having issues with my iPhone 5C for about a month now. I have unlimited everything, including data, & so randomly, starting about 2 weeks ago, my data basically does not work for any apps, besides like iMessage & Safari. So like if I have full LTE signal, I can try to open the Instagram app, and it will tell me "no internet connection", & it tells me that with ANY app, besides iMessage & Safari. Which is super frustrating, especially when I try to use like Maps or something & it jut does not load, & tells me that "there is not an internet connection", so I have to use apps & stuff only on wifi, in order for them to work. I went to the Sprint store, and had them try and update the data profile, reset data network, soft reset, etc (they basically did everything that I did), & they could NOT figure out what was wrong with my phone. So, they looked into my warranty information, and told me to take my phone to the Apple Store, and just get a replacement & that it would cost me only $50, since it is still covered under warranty. I am not up for an upgrade until April of 2016, & as far as I know, when it comes to replacements, Apple will either give me a new/refurbished iPhone 5C as a replacement. I don't really mind having to pay a little extra if I have to, in order to get a 5S , & I also don't care if the 5S would be either new or refurbished. So, my question is, could I maybe get a 5S as a replacement, instead of another 5C?

Ios 5.0.1 + Iphone 4 bluetooth connection issue with car stereo

My Iphone 4 will not connect with my new JVC car stereo I have spoken to JVC customer support and they say its an Apple issue that they need to fix (changed something with the bluetooth connection scripts in the latest update update, as they have done before).
The phone finds the stereo and then tries to pair with it, however half way through the pairing process the phone losses connection with the stereo and the pairing is then deleted.
I have deleted all the existing pairing in the phone memory and ensured that the stereo has been rebooted to ensure no conflict of previous installs would effect the process
Does anyone know if Apple are going to fix this glitch in a new softwre update (and if so when is it being released) as at the minute i have an expensive stereo which is cant use to its full ability?

Similar problems occured when Apple released iOS 4 last year. It was NOT fixed with an update from Apple. It was fixed by the system vendors and automakers releasing updates for their equipment. There are ongoing complaints from people with some Toyota built cars (Toyota and Lexus) with some systems as well as some BMW drivers.
I'm willing to bet money that the head unit you have is not fully standards compliant. Unfortunately, getting JVC to admit that is going to be nearly impossible. I suspect they will just quietly issue an update sometime in the next few months. Assuming the head unit can be updated by the end user at all. You may have to resort to an inexpensive visor mount speaker phone in the mean-time.

Iphone 5 Itunes Connection Issue

I have read quite a few threads about this issue but have yet to find a resolve. I just picked up an Iphone 5 due to my 4s being dropped one too many times. When I connected it to my Itunes, it says that I need Itunes 10.7 or later. I downloaded 10.7 but when I went to install it, it said I need an OS of 10.6 or later (I have 10.5.8 which for my Macbook is apparently as far as I can go.
I did not back up on Icloud before getting the new phone now I am stuck. Can someone help me with this? There has to be a way to get this fixed. Upon getting my new phone my IT dept accidentally deleted all my contacts that the VZW store transferred for me by mistake.

the solution is literally right infront of you. You need to update the mac, before you can update the itunes, before you can use itunes with your iphone 5.

IPhone Wi-Fi connection issues! HELP!

I have been searching all over the net for my exact problem and haven’t found a solid fix yet. Here are my issues…
Recently, like within the last few weeks my iPhone which came with Firmware 1.1.3 pre-installed and was updated to 1.1.4 several months ago has started having many issues connecting to/updating through Wi-Fi ONLY!!:
- Safari
- Maps
- Email
- Weather
- YouTube
- Stocks
Every once in a while it works fine but mostly I get update or unable to connect errors. The thing I have noticed is that if I disable my Wi-Fi connection and go directly through the Edge connection it works slowly “of course” but great!! Does anyone have any clue why the Wi-Fi is acting up? I “reloaded” my phone and it still is having the issue. If I downgrade back down to 1.1.3 do you think that would fix my problem or not. Since 1.1.4 worked fine for sometime it makes me think it’s something else. No matter what Wi-Fi I connect to I always have this problem. PLEASE HELP!! Thank you in advance.

You most likely have an issue with your AP's wireless settings. Have you made any changes to its config? Even if not try restoring all AP wireless options to their defaults.
There is a slight chance that an apple update could've flashed the firmware of the wireless chipset as well as system software. Try these as well:
- enable broadcasting of the SSID (despite what some people may say this is NOT a security risk)
- try using no encryption to make sure that is not the problem
- see if there are any firmware updates for your AP
- set the beacon transmission level of your AP to very high value
- temporarily disable mac filtering from your AP to trouble-shoot
- if using dhcp make sure a valid ip address is being assigned from the server. Not 169.x.x.x
My MacBook Pro once had similar issues after updating the chipset to the 802.11 Draft-N standard. After increasing the beaconing interval of the AP all worked fine.

IPhone 5s wireless connectivity issues, cannot upload files/state to iCloud, and supposedly needing to do so in order to get my files/state onto a new iPhone 6 Plus

I am trying to get my files from my old iPhone 5s onto my new iPhone 6 Plus. I am currently and have been using iCloud to backup my files/state. However, I believe the antenna on the iPhone 5s went kaput a few months ago, because the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, both, do not work at all, meaning, I have tried all solutions including, resetting network settings, restarting the phone, etc. This is problematic because, as far as I know the iPhone 5s needs to be connected to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to a Wi-Fi Hotspot in order to ask the internet, in order to upload current information/state to iCloud. Herein lies my problem.
I have used iCloud already, to download my current files/state to my iPhone 6, with a caveat, these are only the files/state from before the antenna supposedly went kaput. That means, that all of my files/state since that time, while still being on my iPhone 5s, is not uploaded to iCloud, which then means I do not have it on my iPhone 6 which was updated to the most current files/state that was available at the time.
What do I do?
I have iTunes installed on a Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 Computer, and I have made a backup on there. However, I have to admit, I find iTunes very counter-intuitive and very difficult to use/understand. And I'm mostly referring to the syncing/backing-up features. I know you have to have safe guards to protect software usage, but with this high-minded philosophy of minimalism, couldn't it be as easy as drag and drop? Even software syncing? USB syncing with iCloud, etc?

From what I can gather, you can start your new iPhone from an itunes backup (Set Up Iphone > Restore from iTunes Backup), but, in my situation I need to add the Files/State from the old iPhone backup to the new iPhone that was started from scratch and has it's own unique Files/State, without subtracting from either. The problem is, that I don't want to subtract anything, and from what I understand about Syncing, if I am Syncing a new iPhone that's been started up, edited, has it's own suite of apps, etc. to an old backup of a previous iPhone, I am going to lose everything new I've done, as it will sync with the previous Files/State.
