IPhone 4s: I cannot go over 5 minutes times to lock my phone...
I would like to have at least 15 minutes before cell will locked... I have tried many times and many ways. There is no security installed by our IT team concerning this problem.

If you have set up an Exchange account, the administrators can push policies that set the lock time.
Talk to your IT department again. They may not realize they've done it.
If you remove the Exchange account, and the option to set a 15 minute lock time returns, then you can prove to them that it's the Exchange system that's doing it. But... be polite about it. Ticking off the IT guy is not a good thing to do...

Did you check your security software settings on your computer? iTunes has to be able to contact Apple servers during the update process:

If you are trying to update your phone over the air, try to use your computer and iTunes instead. -
My wife switched from an iPhone 4 to an iPhone 5. Everything transferred over and service is on the new phone. However, texts are going to her old phone still. Any idea what the problem is?
As long as iMessage is enabled and the old phone is connected to a WiFi access point, it will continue to receive iMessage texts. It won't receive non-iMessage texts nor will it receive any calls.

Most likely a hardware failure, & if so, you won't be able to restore/activte your phone. If you've tried at least two times, & are still getting this error, make an appointment at any Apple store, or call AppleCare.

When I have my mail turned off on my Iphone 3GS, I cannot then just touch the phone number of a contact and get it to dial. I leave my mail turned off frequently because of all the spam that comes in. Seems I should be able to touch dial all contacts regardless whether my mail is turned on or not. This does not occur with all contacts but some. Very irritating.
The "streaming" in iOS 6 is not traditional streaming. When a song is played it is also cached in a non-permanent storage on the iPhone. As you play music older songs will be deleted or you can delete all the music at once by going to Settings > General > Usage, tapping Music, then swiping across "all music" and tapping the delete button.

There is nothing that you can do to get rid of the balance on your own. Contact iTunes Store Support and seek their assistance. I believe that they can reset your balance for you.

I just deleted some songs/videos on my iphone to make some space to download a movie. I want to know next time I sync my phone will those songs be deleted from my itunes folder? or will they remain.

jazmineNo. Assuming that they were in your iTunes folder, they will be put back on the phone on the next sync, unless you specify that you don't want them synced, in which case they will just stay on your computer. I am assuming here that the videos you are referring to are videos in your iTunes library, not videos you have made that are in the camera roll. They would be gone unless you had previously transferred them to a computer.

I have heard that if you update the iphone software it can lock it back to the network.
Can you let me know if its just if you jailbreak your iphone or for even if my unlock was autherized.

JonI know I answered you before on this but can't find the thread. Guess you didn't like my answer. Your phone was illegally hacked to unlock it and when you updated the phone it relocked it back to the original carrier. This made the sim you had in the phone useless and therefore it cannot activate the phone. Nothing can be done in these forums to help you fix your problem as it is against the TOS to discuss illegal unlocking or jailbreaking the phone.

Did you try dragging the corner to stretch the screen? Or the green traffic light?
If so, try pressing the green traffic light while holding the option key... or delete the .plist for iTunes or edit it manually. -
My wife and i have 2 iphone 4s. Since i installed ios6 face time calls on both phones at the same time when friends try to face time me.
Also when my wife messages me her phone receives the message first in notifications barThis sounds like an Apple ID problem. Do each of you have your own Apple IDs? Are they each properly set on each phone? You might try logging out of Facetime and iMessage, then logging back in. This often fixes connectivity issues.

This is incredibly frustrating - we had a IPhone 4s that had no problems here for about 7 monts. We have a new IPhone 4s and recently a new IPad 2. Ever since the mandatory switch to using the Podcasts App for iOS based products (my PC laptop works fine), the podcasts will say "cannot be downloaded at this time" and will stream for 30 seconds to a few minutes, then abruptly start over at the beginning. We cannot fast forward ahead properly in the new clunky interface, and the secondary screen where you get to see the "tape player" going through podcast does not skip when you move the timer icon anywhere in the podcast. It is though they are running in parallel.
We are talking podcasts by the BBC, NPR, etc and the Lenovo doesn't have any issues bc the whole system is inside ITunes.

Im not sure wether I got you right or not. But my advice/s would be as follows:
These steps help you get rid of old apps you downloaded years ago and you do not use anymore.(Also frees space on your mac after emptying the trash)
1) go to iTunes and delete all applications in it. Make sure to move them to trash! Do not empty your trash yet. Its your backup if step 3 doesnt appear.
2) connect both your devices(one after each other) and make a backup. !!!Dont press the Sync button, press the Back Up Now Button
3) Then it asks you if you want to backup applications as well. Confirm. (This is how apps get transferred manually)
4) Then Sync your devices... The first time it might be, that there are some additional apps loaded to your devices you dont want to.. delete them on your Device (not iTunes) and after that you should be good every time you sync again.
5) now you can empty your trash on your mac.
Further,
- You should regularly connect your devices with iTunes to make sure they are backed up. (Even if you have activated iCloud backup, the iTunes backup is more proper i.e.. Apps)
- If you hate scrolling through a list of apps in iTunes, you can re/install apps directly on iOS not via iTunes. I absolutely never go to the "Applications" section in iTunes. I install and delete apps directly on iOS.

I trasferred pictures over from my computer to my iPhone 5 and now i cannot delete these pictures from my phone, and i cannot work out how to delete them from my phone by the computer as the pictures do not show up in my files on the computer, how can i remove them i have over 400 pictures that need removing?
If you have a Mac with iPhoto, plug the iPhone in and open iPhoto. Choose to import the photos. Once they have been imported, there should be an option to "Remove Imported Photos from Device". Choose this.

I am trying to sync my music library to my new iPhone 5C and cannot seem to get the music to sync. It is in the library but isn't going over to my phone.

I backed up all my phone information from my old 3GS phone to my computer, then connected my new phone to sync. Everything else seems ok but music won't transfer. Iphone 4s touchscreen stops responding after a minute or so, I then have to wait at least a minute before the touchscreen works again but soon after it stops responding. I have tried hard reset, turning it off over night, etc

I had that problem as well and the apple support suggested to turn off the LTE-mode to have a running system and try to exchange the micro-sim by my provider.
THAT was not an option!
BUT it seems to solve my problem in the following way after trying a lot of possibilties:
In the menue properties/help (don't know the exact english word, because I run my phone in german)
I switched on the nice feature 'flash LED' by incomming calls, msgs, and push infos.
Today the flash feature was responding to different push notes very slowly.
By switching this feature off the LTE-mode-tochscreen-not-responding-problem disappeared.
We tried this on a other iphone, not having the metioned problem, and switched the LED-flash:
the problem appeared. Switching the LED-flash off: problem disappeared!
It seems to be a bug that the LED will hint Calls and MSGs in combination with the LTE mode!
treated my phone very hard today to double check, but its still ok.
@Apple:
Please fix that issue in the next update.

Could it be that some app is causing issue. I can connect my car and computer over Bluetooth but not ipad mini.
On the other had ipad is connecting to other iPhone but only not mine.
Still showing ipad not supported message. And also shows not paired.
