[iPhone] How to have Edit, Back, and Add buttons in Nav bar at same time?
Hello,
Just getting into the iPhone. I've looked but I must be missing something fundamental.
I have a table view which drills down to another table view. Simple enough. On the second level table view, I need the "back" button to get back to the parent but I also want an Edit button so I can delete child rows and I want an add "+" button so I can add child rows. If I specify the Edit button, on the left, I loose my "back" button and can't get back to the parent table. If I put Edit on the right, I have no place for the Add button. What am I missing?

Thanks, yeah, I see that I could enable the add function with edit now. I'm not sure how to really do this however. It looks like I have to insert "phantom" rows in the table view that say "Add item" and the green + will go next to those?
Seems like I'd be playing games with the cellForRowAtIndexPath delegate to do that or is there some magic that happens to make the phantom row?
Where do I put the phantom row - top of the list, bottom of the list? Do I somehow auto-scroll to it?
I guess these are probably basic questions that some tutorial will have that I just haven't read yet. I'm just not sure what to look for.

The only I way I can think of to modify a single value and have that value change in multipl locations is to have all "the other places" reference a single cell. There is not way without a referene to modify a set of cells simulateously.

The computer will be used only for online catalog access in my library. I need to remove the location toolbar, but keep the back buttons and home button. If I use Kiosk mode, I don't have the back buttons. I can set it up so that I have the buttons but not the URL, but a user could right click on the menu bar and re-enable the location bar. I need to prevent them from doing that.

A possibility is to hide toolbar items and (context) menu items with code in userChrome.css below the default @namespace line.

How do i edit the links in the top nav bar on an enterprise wiki site?
I would like to edit and change the links in the top nav bar on my enterprise wiki.
Currently the links are "About this wiki" and "Recent" a drop down menu with links.
I would like to change "About this wiki" to a "Home" page link and remove the "Recent" drop down menu and links. I also would like to be able to add more links to the to the top nav bar.
I there anyway I can do this one an enterprise wiki site?

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to edit the links in the top navigation bar on an enterprise wiki site.
I try to reproduce the issue, however, my enterprise wiki site don’t have the drop down menu.
How did you add the Recent link?
How did you create the drop down menu?
Did you use the seattle master page or olso master page?
It will be better if you can descript more detail and provide some screenshots.
You can use JavaScript to add and remove the items in the drop down menu.

How to acquire analog signal and send a TTL pulse at the same time based on PXI 6123
Hi,
I am using a PXI-6123 data acquisition card, as the picture show in the attachment ,I want to acquire the analog signal of ai0 through reference analog window and at the same time send a TTL signal to trigger my camera. I have tried two methods, one is using the DAQmx Export signal.vi another is using DAQmx connect terminals, but when the data acquisition card acquire the analog signal, the DAQmx Export signal.vi and the DAQmx connect terminals sometime can send an TTL pulse ,sometime can not.
I don’t know why? or some other method that can achieve my arm is appreciated.

Have things changed over the years?
I need to syncronise a digital output (Modul NI9474) and an analoge input (AI-Modul NI9203) module. I need to measure time intervals from a flank in signal A to a flank in signal B. I would like accuracies of the order of 1 ms. Currently, the signals are not synchronised, with errors of the order of 2 times the block length (block size x sample rate), sometimes much higher. The best I got so far was a block size of around 20 with a sample rate of 1 kHz.
If I use the master and slave settings on the RTSL settings, my program doesn't run properly.
If I use digital signals for input and output, I can syncronise them with RTSL settings and everything is good, but I can't always do that.
Also, if I do anything in the GUI (such as scrollowing something or going to another window), my output gets screwed up properly.
1. What can be done to synchronise AI with DO?
2. Is there something that can be done to avoid messing up the output when something happens in the user interface? (I know that I am messing up the outputs as they make some valves switch and that is loud).

I am having trouble streaming a slideshow and music at the same time to the HDTV via the Apple TV. It seems to just play the one song, even when I hit the playlist selection. What am I doing wrong?
Yes, you should be able to do that easily provided your home network can handle it.
If you are trying to do this by using the Airplay icon you can't.
The correct way to do this is to access the iTunes library via AppleTV using its Computers menu.

When I set up my iphone, I logged in to my own itunes and icloud but it recognized my phone as "Owner's phone" which is my husbands, so when I synched it, it was his apps, etc...help!!
I would do this:
1. on the phone in settings/general/about in the name tap there and give the phone a name that you can recognise.
2. open itunes on your computer and attach th ephone using a cable
3. Click on edit then preferences then on the devices tab in itunes on the computer and have a look what backups are there (assuming you backup to the computer nand not the cloud. Is the backup of your ol dphone there?
4. Log out of whatever apple ID you are are in when your click on itunes store in itunes on your computer and log in with your own ID
5. With your phone attached to the computer and itunes open select your phone in the left column and right click on it and click on restore. It should allow you to choose the backup that you wish to restore from. Choose the back up of your old phone and not your husband's phone

My iphone 5 has just stopped giving any sound no ringtones, no key clicking or button sounds nothing at all. And the home button has stopped working. i was backing up my iPhone and importing photos onto iPhoto at the same time , then suddenly it says no more space available (i had 48GB before i do this and now i have 18GB) i can't find the back up or the photo anywhere , how can i delete them ? i dont need the pictures or the back ups , i want to delete them but they are not there
Empty the Trash if you haven't already done so. If you use iPhoto, empty its internal Trash first:
iPhoto ▹ Empty Trash
Do the same in other applications, such as Aperture, that have an internal Trash feature. Then reboot. That will temporarily free up some space.
According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of available space on the startup volume (as shown in the Finder Info window) for normal operation. You also need enough space left over to allow for growth of the data. There is little or no performance advantage to having more available space than the minimum Apple recommends. Available storage space that you'll never use is wasted space.
When Time Machine backs up a portable Mac, some of the free space will be used to make local snapshots, which are backup copies of recently deleted files. The space occupied by local snapshots is reported as available by the Finder, and should be considered as such. In the Storage display of System Information, local snapshots are shown asBackups. The snapshots are automatically deleted when they expire or when free space falls below a certain level. You ordinarily don't need to, and should not, delete local snapshots yourself. If you followed bad advice to disable local snapshots by running a shell command, you may have ended up with a lot of data in the Other category. Reboot and it should go away.

You can more effectively use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper (ODS) to explore the volume and find out what's taking up the space. You can also delete files with it, but don't do that unless you're sure that you know what you're deleting and that all data is safely backed up. That means you have multiple backups, not just one.
Deleting files inside an iPhoto or Aperture library will corrupt the library. Any changes to a photo library must be made from within the application that created it. The same goes for Mail files.
Proceed further only if the problem isn't solved by the above steps.
ODS can't see the whole filesystem when you run it just by double-clicking; it only sees files that you have permission to read. To see everything, you have to run it as root.
Back up all data now.
If you have more than one user account, make sure you're logged in as an administrator. The administrator account is the one that was created automatically when you first set up the computer.
Install ODS in the Applications folder as usual. Quit it if it's running.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:

Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The application window will open, eventually showing all files in all folders, sorted by size with the largest at the top. It may take a few minutes for ODS to finish scanning.
I don't recommend that you make a habit of doing this. Don't delete anything while running ODS as root. If something needs to be deleted, make sure you know what it is and how it got there, and then delete it by other, safer, means. When in doubt, leave it alone or ask for guidance.
When you're done with ODS, quit it and also quit Terminal. -

When I tap the bookmark at the bottom of the screen, it opens a screen with Allowed Sites and History when I tap either of them there is no option to delete, also there is no Favourites to tap after tapping the bookmark icon. Each time I tap the Safari app, and try to type something into the address bar, the app closes and I am unable to access the internet although connected. Any suggestions, would resetting phone help? -

can someone assist me with a solution to the problem with my iphone 5. I upgraded to IOS 6.1.4 and since then i have had the problem of No Sim. I restored to the factory settings using i tunes as i have my back up on my pc but still the same problem. I have swapped sim and my Sim is working on other iphone with ios 6.1.3
Try a new SIM from your carrier. If that doesn't work, make a Genius Bar appointment and get your phone evaluated.
