IPhone Recovery Loop - Error 1

My phone suddenly went into an unresponsive state so I decide to try a restore. I hook up to ITunes and it stated that it needed to download the latest software OS 5.1.1. After going through the process (it was nearly completed) it kicked out the following error message: The IPhone "IPhone" could not restored. An unknown error occurred (1). I click "More Information" and went through the five steps: 1. update to latest version of itunes, 2. OS update 3. Verify all other usb cables are disconnect. 4. Disable my security setting 5. And rebootted several times. I now have a "brick." How can I restore to factory setting? BTW - I had already backup my setting so all I will be missing is a few weeks of calendar appointments.

I lent my iPhone 3G to a friend (it was factory unlocked) and when she gave it back she had jailbroken it. I know im not suppost to help but i believe since you did not do this, try putting the phone into dfu mode then try to restore the phone

About 3 weeks ago my just over a year new laptop took a fall onto the carpet from 4 feet above... my screen was cracked so I ordered a new one and put it in yesterday. Now, I am having problems. I start up my laptop, the HP logo with a timer circle is spinning below it, then it says " your Pc ran into a problem and needs to restart", it restarts and then it says, " Recovery- Your PC couldn't start properly. A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed. Error Code: 0xc0000185." With a bunch of other stuff written below it.. I have tried all the prompts possible. I did do a HP PC HARDWARE DIAGNOSTIC UEFI test, both the short and extended one. It says FAILED - Failure ID: GLXS3H-6MF76S-MFPWWJ-60S603, with the Product ID: C5E40UA#ABA then right below HARD DRIVE 1.
My lap top will not go into the windows screen now at all. I am guessing the fall my lap top took did some damage to the hard drive and that is the internal problem now. I did look at a video on how to take the hard drive out and I did unplug, remove battery, and take it out and took the controller board off, check to make sure nothing was lose or broken, and put back together and reinserted it into my laptop and I am still having the same loop as above happening.

-Windows 8
-750 GB Hard Drive

3gs recovery loop error 40

My phone froze as i tried to open it, so I restarted the phone.
After it was stuck in recovery mode, when I tried to recover the phone it gave me the error 40

So others are aware, it's a hardware issue.
I went to my local apple store and they replaced the phone for me.

Recovery loop error.

I recently updated my iphone for the 11.1.5 update. However, my iphone disconnected and now whenever I plu my phone into my laptop, itunes wants to restore it. So I do. and I keep restoring it over and over constantly losing every app and playlist. It's so frustrating.
Is there something I can do to stop this?

A quick Google search for Error 2001 would indicate that this occurs when you have a jailbroken phone or were trying to downgrade iOS. Is that true for you?

Btw, it is not jailbroken. Everything was purchased on the apple store. It happened days after i update my software to ios 7.04.

Hello my iphone seems to be stuck in a recovery loop and I dont know how to deal with it, so far I have tried to do an update and restore and right at the end of the restore a box appeared and said it cant be restored due to unknown error 21 which I be;lieve is a hardware problem. I would be greatfull for a solution to this problem is I have no access to the phone because of this loop

there's the log. I tried all the apple steps (incl. "proper" dfu mode etc) so please don't suggest that. ipod touch 2g (late 2009) stuck in recovery. Error 28 every time I restore on multiple mac and PC machines. 3.1.2 was on it, that's the attempted restore.
The log is posted above, can some genius please suggest what to do?
I have also tried irecovery and a few other things, but I can't get it to work. It restored once but as soon as I put music on it - it went back to recovery loop.

I'm having the exact same problem, right down to it going back in the recovery loop when you start to download music. Did you find a solution or do I now have a nice paperweight? Tryed to restore many, many times on different computers. If you have any suggestions, they would be appreciated.

My iPhone 5 is suck in recovery loop after an update is there anyway method to get it out of recovery loop. I have tried reiboot it doesn't work and I have tried shs tiny umbrella.

Has the phone been jailbroken before the update? if yes, the loop could be a result of modifying the software and jail braking made the phone useless.
DFU mode might be the last chance to restore the phone again.

Hi, i had the same problem. Try to find the file "apple" or "itunes" don't know it anymore exactly. Ahm well you need to delet any information or just plug in your iphone into an other computer. important is that your iphone never has been pluged in this computer before. This was what i did, and it worked!
