Iphoto date change giving wrong date

When I try to change the date of a scanned photo I get a strange and incorrect date in response.
For example if I put in 25/01/1985 I get a return date of 12/11/573. Each time I try to input the correct date the return date is earlier and earlier.
I have tried changing the file date through terminal. I have tried resetting the system date but the changed photo date still won't move to the one I input.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Cheers
Paul

Hi
Yep that is where I made the previous changes. I went back there and reset everything to default settings. I also went into the Date and Time pane and changed automatic time, date and zone settings on and off, trying various combinations. But no joy. The photo date won't accept the one I give it.
This is really annoying. I am otherwise very happy with the Mac. Such a shame that a part of the iPhoto functionality is ruined by this. I was looking forward to having my photos in chronological order.
Oh well. Hopefully Apple will do something to fix the issue soon.
Thanks for trying to solve it anyway.
Regards
Paul

  • IPhoto has changed the creation dates to all of my photos

I recently bought a new MacBook Pro, my first computer since my iMac circa 2005. I've successfully transfered all of my photos to the new computer, but iPhoto has changed the creation dates of every file, so they're no longer in chronological order. I've used DVDs and Dropbox, I've exported the files, copied the data files from the hard drive, everything, but the result is still the same. I contemplated changing each file manually, but I have over 3,000 photos. Has anyone had this problem? Is there a way I can restore the correct dates?

    Hi Keith,
Yes, it's date that the photo was taken that has been changed. When I look at the "photo info" of each individual photo, the "original date" is correct, but the transferred photos on my new computer always change to a 2007 date, despite the fact that the photos were taken as early as 2002.
    Does this make more sense?

  • Changing iPhoto pix size makes wrong date...

    Hello,
I'm attempting to reduce the file sizes of many iPhoto pictures - I don't need 3meg per picture for quite a few of them. If I export at a smaller size from iPhoto or Photoshop Elements, the creation and modify dates change to the current date which is not good when I reimport them. Any way to keep this metadata so iPhoto orders them correctly?
    Thanks
    H
    G4-17 Powerbook   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    This seems to work:
In iPhoto select your photos to resize, from the Share menu select Export and check the Scale images no larger than...and then type in the size you want - try 600 and the height will show 450. You can select any choice under Name and then click on Export. Choose your destination and there you have it! The pictures will still have the original date stamp.
    Hope this will help.

  • IPhoto imports photos with wrong dates even if the dates are fine on the camera

    Hi!
When I import photos with iPhoto, sometimes it imports them with wrong dates, even the dates are fine on the camera. It puts dates such as 2032. Does anyone know how can I fix that. As far as I know there is no way to change dates of the photos.
    Thanks!

well that is very confusing since if the date is correct on the camera it will be correct in iPhoto
    and as to
As far as I know there is no way to change dates of the photos.
Try looking through your iPhto menus - two commands - adjust time and date and batch change time and date - asjust is used to correct incorrect dates like a comera setting -   Batch change for missing dates like with scans

  • IPhoto batch change is choosing date modified rather than date created

    Hello all,
I have a large number of MOV files which I have imported into iPhoto. I want to batch change them all, renaming them to the footage date and time.
iPhoto has chosen the date last modified rather than date created to rename them to. When in Finder and open Inspector, it does have the correct date created.
I can adjust date and time and tick the box to modify the original file for each one but given the quantity I have to do, I would rather the batch change pick up on the date creted.
Any ideas on how I can get iPhoto to do this correctly?
I have spent some time searching online and haven't had any luck so far.
I am using iPhoto 11 v.9.4.3 if it makes a difference.
    Thanks all
    Andrew

iPhoto can only change the date on image files which have EXIF fields.  Movie files don't have EXIF fields so you'll need to do the job outside of iPhoto with an application that can change the file created date like  A Better Finder Attributes 5: Mac OS X Batch Date Changer for EXIF Photos, Files and Folders
    or
File Date Changer: Change file creation and modification dates and times for Mac OS X files

  • Importing into iPhoto 08... wrong dates

Just finished importing 13 thousand photos and the dates aren't correct. I found one event that had three duplicates all with different dates. Apparently I accidently imported two back ups! Two copies dates are wrong, but the dates that were pulled from the modified folder are correct. I was thinking that backing it to a UNIX drive might have overwritten the original created date, but that wouldn't explain why the modified folder is right. I was disconnected accidently with tech support after being on hold for bout 20 minutes while they were escalating this issue. Any ideas would be greatly apprecaited!

    More details would help
Were you importing photos from a camera, a CD or from backup iPhoto libraries (which is what it sounds like)? And why are you doing this?
In general you do not import iPhoto libraries you load them and launch iPhoto while depressing the option (alt) key and use the select library option to select them - if you import an iPhoto library you will get two or three copies of each photo - the original, the thumbnail and if it has been modified, the modified version - this generally is not what you want
When you import iPhoto sets the date from the EXIF data - this info is not kept with the photo in the iPhoto library but in the database file and added when the photo is exported
Most (maybe all) of what you are seeing can be avoided by loading the library and selecting it rather than importing it

    Hi all oracle experts :
in oracle backend ( LOV ) user is selecting 'long text' instead of 'short text' and as a result user is getting wrong data Ship_To_Adress ( column ). here what i need is :
Upon data is coming from Long_Text table - it should not bring the wrong data Ship_To address.. It should give no value on the report.
feasibility of modifying query to maintain two Scenarios - Irrespective of Long or Short text - User should not give wrong 'Ship To' address on the pick ticket.
please go through the following query and make necessary changes. thanks in advance for your precious time valuable advice

Thank you very much indeed for your reply - yes youre right. in oracle backend there are dropdown selections : 1) short text and 2) long text. as per the table user has to select short text so that he will get the correct output , but if by mistake user selects long text then the table is pulling wrong data. so here we need the query to be changed if user selects long text report shouldnt show any data..
i am not sure but as per my little knowledge in oracle i believe that the problem is lying in the folloiwng query line.. please help me out in this regard. i have a screen shots of oralce backend where user is selecting long text / short text but here theres no option of inserting the files...

  • TRUNC() giving wrong data in different versions of Oracle DB

    Hi All,

    from table1;
    my_temp_table structure:
    v_name               varchar2(30),

    xxx
    12/2/2012
    yyy
    10/23/2010
    abc

after the insertion into temp table am getting the result like below...
    select * from my_temp_table;

  • Capture data changes to Control Data

    Hi,
I want to replicate any data changes made to the config/control data of SPRO to a non-SAP system. Would there be user exits or change pointers for these transactions? How can I confirm this? If this is not possible then what options are available in SAP ECC?
    Eagerly awaiting a response..
    Thanks in advance

    Dear folk,
In SAP we have two tables CDPOS and CDHDR for the changed data to be maintained.
      CDHDR-Header data
    CDPOS-Item data.
Based on ur requirement , u can check these tables by giving the table name and field name.
to the appropriate fields in the CDHDRa nd CDPOS.
Revert if u need any help regarding this.
    Regards
    Abhilash.

  • Delivery Date changed to past date while ATPing 2nd Line

    Hello Gurus,
I posted a question a few days ago, but now that I found a new example i have more info of my problem.
So here is the scenario. (we are set up for back order)
Orders is created for 5000 units on 09.23.2008.
we do not have enough stock to ship all. we only have 3000
In our system or the way it is set up. line 1 shows 5000 with confirmed delivery 0,
So we do an ATP check and a second line is created with qty 3000, a MAD date of 10.01.2008 and
delivery date of 10.07.08. all is good up to here.
so we still have 2000 to ship and the mad date is not until later in December: 12.01.2008
so we go into line 3 and do an ATP check to see what promised delivery date will create.
the system says 12.07.2008, ok all is good up to here.
now if I SAVE this order, this is what happens.
    Line one for 5000 disappears
Line 2 turns into Line 1 , but the delivery date changes from the actual date of 10.07.2008 to
    09.23.2008.
Line 3 turns into Line 2 with the right date 12.07.2008.
Line 2 turning into one is the one with the Issue !
Are we doing something wrong ? is this a config problem ?
    Any feedback appreciated.
    thanks
    JD

    HI Mani,
yeah I agree with you about the lines, but the only concern is the dates, the original delivery date was for example  march 7th for 5000, so we could not ship them all and we only shipped 3000 on April 7th, and we still had back order for 2000.
those 2000, lets say have a Mat Ava Date of Today, so If I do an ATP check, the system would create a delivery for maybe November 10th.
so far all is good, when I save the order in Va02, and the line 2 becomes line 1 and line 3 becomes line 2 ( which I am ok with )
the only thing that I think is strange is that the new line 1, the one that accounts for the 3000 shipped on April 7th, now has a delivery date of March 7th.
and that is not accurate, the requested delivery date was march 7th, but we shipped on April 7th, so why does the system override the actual date with the first date.
that is what I think it is strange and I am not sure how to fix it.
Let me know what you think and thanks in advance!

  • Why wont the modify date, change the creation date?

I tried to use the "Adjust Content Created Date and Time" option but it doesn't change the creation date.  So I have footage from 1992 stuck in a 2010 event folder.  From things I read online it says this should change too.  Am I reading this wrong?  Will 1992 be stuck in 2010 forever, ha.  Any help is great.  I have also provided a screen shot of the Event from 1992 stuck in the 2010 Event Library.

Yeah the change date inside of FCPX doesn't seem to work as advertised, however you can change the date, so that FCPX sorts it properly.  First delete the clip from FCPX, make sure you have the original somewhere though.
Open a terminal window and use the following command:
    touch -t 199211280800.00 <path/filename>
Where the format is:  (use leading zeros if necessary for date & time)
    first four digits: year
    next four:  month and day
next four:  time of day (in 24 hour format)
next 2:  seconds as a decimal (this is optional, if you leave it off you will get 00 seconds)
The above example will change the file date to Nov. 8, 1992  08:00:00 AM
This will change the created, modified and last access dates of the clip/file.
Then reimport the clip and FCPX should recognize it properly.
I've done a dozen or so rips from VHS of old home movies and here is how I change the dates.  Works every time.

  • Billing Date change to past date.

    Hi,
Basically, I want to change the billing dates of few Invoices generated on 4 December 2008 to 29 November 2008 due to some tax changes in business.
Is there any way we can change the billing date of an invoice to a past date?

    Dear Christino,
    Check with,
    T. Code: VF02
Key-in your Invoice Doc. No. and "Enter"
    From menu bar,
Go To --> Header --> Header
Under Tab: Accounting Data, there is one Field: Billing Date, which would be in Editable-mode.
Change the Billing Date, as required.
    Best Regards,
    Amit

  • TSR Visit recording in CIC0,  'To date' changes to current date

Hey, hopefully this is the right forum for this.
When TSRs create a TSR Visit in the Interaction Centre (Trans CIC0), they are usually recording this for a historical date. However, the Interaction Centre's standard behaviour is it assumes you are in a call centre environment and are working on a "here and now" basis. So what it does when TSRs create a visit record, is default the TO (end) date to today's date once they hit the save button. They can over write this by overtyping the TO date with the actual (past) date once it has been saved and it will then overwrite the record with the required date.
I've been assigned the job of changing this standard behaviour to allow past dates to be entered and saved without having to create, save, overwrite and save again.
So what i'm looking for is function modules or locations of the code that is doing this.
Any help would be very appreciated.

    Hi,
You just need to do basic configuration and do not need to do any coding to achieve your objective.
    Go to
    Transaction Code SPRO
IMG -> CRM -> Basic Functions -> Date Management -> Define Date Profile
Select the relevant date profile assigned to your activity transaction type.
(If the date profile is a standard SAP defined date profile copy the date profile by selecting the date profile and clicking on the "Copy Icon"; Similarly if you are using standard SAP Activity transaction copy the transaction in IMG -> CRM -> Transaction -> Basic Settings
Go to your Activity Transaction type that is creating the Visit record; Standard date profile or Activity transaction is the one whose ID does not start with "Y" or "Z". Also when you create your own date profile or activity transaction your ID should start with "Y" or "Z". )
Double-Click on "Date Types" on the left hand side tree
    Select the corresponding Date Type
    Click on the "Details" icon
On the bottom right portion of your screen there is "Default Values for Manual Entry" tab. Unclicking the "Current Time" will achieve your objective.
    Regards,
    Deepak

  • Photos from iPhoto showing duplicates and wrong dates. Help!

    Hello everyone,
I have been battling my iphone and computer for the last few days trying to figure this one out. No luck. Now I turn to all of you.
The problem is basically this: My iPhone photos app was showing duplicates of many photos taken in the last few months. They would literally be side by side. There were no edits, photostream is turned off... Those duplicates do NOT show up in iPhoto on my macbook.
So I tried a few recommendations from some forums I read. I rebuilt the iPhoto database. I deleted the plist file for iPhoto. I restored my phone.
Now, not only do I still have all of the duplicates, but I also have photos showing up severely out of date order. The thing that makes this obvious is that photos of my sonm, who was born in June, are showing up scattered through random months of the preceding year. I am sure other photos are now out of order as well. I only see this on my phone, and not in iPhoto.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you,
    Bret

    anyone?
by the way, after some restoring, the duplicates are at least gone. Now the problem is simply that recent photos are showing up in months past, and in several past events on my iphone. This is in the photos app as well as iphoto. In iPhoto, I can check the info of one of those photos and it shows a....June date for example... but it shows up in the photo order back in february or march.
If anyone has any thoughts on this it all it would be appreciated. Thanks.
