Ipod is downloading my game but not showing up in itunes or letting me play

Hi,
I have 5th gen ipod and i am running 1.2 of the software
I bought Texas hold'em. When i sync my games it says it is updating but when it is finished it doesnt show up and i am unable to play.
Can someone please tell me how to fix this ?

This could be caused by Windows drive letter confusion on your computer.
Try giving this a try (reassigning your iPod's drive letter on your computer):
Log off of any other users on your computer (and disconnect any iPods that are currently connected to your computer, as well)
Then, put your iPod into Disk Mode, then follow these steps:
1 - Don’t plug in your iPod yet.
2 - Go to "START -> Control Panel -> Admin Tools (if you don't see this, click on "classic view" button on the left panel) -> Computer Management."
3 - Click on the "Disk Management" button in the left panel area.
4 - Now, with "Computer Management" and Control Panel windows opened, connect your iPod to the computer.
5 - Right-click on your iPod's listing there (after a few moments when it gets recognized in this drive window), and click on "Change Drive letter and Paths". Then the "Change..." button.
Here's what it should look like:
Assign your iPod the letter "M" "N", "O" or the like (further along in the alphabet).

Also, I have a question: does this happen to you with your music, podcasts, etc. as well, or is this just with games? (when it says "updating" but doesn't show up on the iPod)

No idea what this means, unless you say what you have tried. When you say that you have tried "all", it really does not encourage anyone to make suggestions. If you have tried it all, then, by definition, there is nothing left to try.

Podcast submitted but not showing up in iTunes

I submitted my podcast to iTunes two weeks ago. When I try to resbumit to iTunes, it says that the feed has already been submitted. But the podcast does not show up in iTunes when I search for it.

They probably just haven't got round to assessing it yet: I can't give you a hard and fast answer about how long it takes but 2-3 weeks seems perfectly possible. When it's been accepted you will get an email including a URL for the Store page.
Note by the way that the episode 'Drunken Sailors' has two 'enclosure' tags, both containing 'drunkensailor.mp3' but one from www.quass.com and one from Feedproxy. Only the first one will show in iTunes: multiple enclosure tags within one 'item' are not recognized. Otherwise the feed is apparently OK and can be subscribed to manually in iTunes (from the 'Advanced' menu).

Downloaded applications/games do not show

I tried twice erasing and restoring from backup on my son's iPad mini but some applications do not show on any screen but are visible in the "Settings" and also in iTunes and example is "Skylanders Trap Team"
In the example above I could not download the game from the AppStore, the "download/free" button was disabled. I was able to subsequently download via iTunes and see that it was sync'd with the iPad, but it is just not visible.
Please advise as to my next steps.

Do you have restrictions turned on for installing apps or for age content? Settings>General>Restrictions. If you do, you need to turn those off in order to install apps and have them appear on the iPad.

'Do Not Disconnect' but not showing up in iTunes!

I just got done syncing my iTouch and remembered I have an old Classic layin' around. So I get it, and I plug it in.
It says 'Do Not Disconnect' BUT it doesn't show up in iTunes. The hardware wizard on my computer said, "iPod Found" and "USB Storage Device Found" and stuff. So I know the computer recognizes it just fine.
What do I do to fix this? I want this to me my movie/video iPod while my Touch is for music and games.

Hi. I used the instructions for "How to move your your music to a new computer" and it seemed to go smoothly. It appears my music library is on my new computer (Music folder, etc) but is not showing up when I open iTunes (unless my iPod is connected too). I am nut sure if I have missed a step or done something wrong. Any ideas?

Hello and Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Quit iTunes. Hold down the shift key and load iTunes again. At the prompt "Choose Library" and navigate to and select your iTunes Library directory.
iTunes will then default to use that library from then on.

Iphone restores but not showing up in itunes 8.1 and tiger

3g phone is restored, plugged into itunes, it shows up in the device list but when i select it itunes does nothing, ctrl click only shows "eject" but no "restore from backup" or anything of the sort...
tried restarting itunes, tiger etc.. same thing.
How do i get itunes to allow me to restore contacts music etc...

I want very hard here to avoid splitting hairs with you but with the way you worded your post I feel it best that I attempt to sumarize what must be done AFTER uninstalling the itunes program. In the articles that I listed for you it talks about unstinalling all other associated programs as a part of itunes. Those programs MUST be uninstalled and then as part of downloading a new copy of itunes then installed along with the new copy of itunes. If you are saying that you did uninstall iTunes, and then after that uninstalled all other associated programs then yes you are now ready to download and install a new copy of itunes.
Please note that this should be done as a new copy of itunes and NOT the same copy that had originally been downloaded that resulted in the issues.

EPub books synced... But not showing up in iTunes 10 Library Books folder

I've got my books alright! All of them ePubs from Project Gutenberg, but they're not showing up in my Books folder inside my iTunes Library. I can see them when I select which books I want to sync with my iPhone and I can read them, but I can't see them in my library. Anyone knows a solution?

How is it possible there was never a resolution to this problem? It still exists as I'm having the exact same issue. I imported books from my epub folders and they showed up for a short few minutes. Then I had an error in itunes (something about not being able to save the itunes file due to not enough room - Not sure what this was about but itunes, for the most part, is working fine) and when I restarted itunes, the books no longer show in my Books section. BUT, they give me the option to sync them with devices (so, they show up in the Books section under devices only). Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. I would like to see the books in the Books section of itunes, not just under devices.

On your iMac go to iTunes > Preferences > Store > Show iTunes in the Cloud Purchases.
Then look under your TV Shows and see if it shows your purchased episodes there with a cloud icon.

App approved but not showing up in itunes

Iphone 4S charging but not showing up in itunes

So I plug my iPhone 4S into the USB port on my Macbook and it charges but it does not come up in iTunes so i cannot add a song to my iPhone. I've restared the phone, and the computer with no progress. What's up?

Hi Friend,
In iTunes, open Edt >> Preferences >> Devices, and unmark the option that say devices can't automatically sync with iTunes. Then your device probably will appear in a couple of minutes.

Podcasts are downloading, but not showing up in Itunes Library !

Hi guys.... this is d3riving me up the wall !!!
I'm running Windows XP. I recently had some work done on my computer and had to restore Itunes. Initially, nothing worked, but now the only issue I have is with podcasts.
I select the episode I want for download and that works OK. Once the download is completed, the episode is nowhere to be found in Itunes. When I look in the 'podcast' folder in the itunes library in Windows, it is not listed.
I did a search and found these references...

Note 1) Fischer's Brick is the name of the episode of PE'S podcast
Note 2) 1,310,720 on line 2 and 1474 are the file sizes.
Note 3'E' I have set Itunes up on my 'E' drive rather than 'C' which I believe is normal. Don't know if that is relevant as 'Songs' Audiobooks seem to work ok with these settings.
If I select the second line and tell windows to open it in Itunes nothing happens. Actually, what happens is that ITUNES will start playing a song that I downloaded that day!

It's the iTunes library files which, along with the iTunes Music folder and some other files, are found in the iTunes folder that iTunes uses to know the contents of the Library.
It sounds like you may have only copied the iTunes Music folder to your new computer, not the entire iTunes folder. Can you confirm whether or not that is the case?
If that's what happened, repeat the process , making sure the whole iTunes folder goes along for the ride.

New Episode Downloading to Subscribers - but not showing up in the Store

has updated to iTunes, in that subscribers are receiving the new episode, but only the previous episode shows up in the store. Does anyone know if this is just something I need to wait for, or have I made a mistake setting up the update?

I can't display this character in a document, but if it's pasted into a web page creator the code shows a block (meaning a non-displayable character) and 'br' with another letter overlaid, followed by a >. The presence of the latter would very likely crash the feed in some readers (opening the feed in Firefox shows nothing, though the code can be read, with this character showing as a block).
Whatever it is, you need to remove it - it's probably the cause of the problem.

My ipod touch weirdly doesn't show up on the desktop or on itunes BUT it will always launch iphoto and ask if I want to download the two photos (which I downloaded from iphoto INTO the ipod, go figure). Any ideas? I have been synching my podcasts by using our house's wireless. I had an ipod previously, but copied over this one successfully...so I thought. Help?

You are correct about things not adding up.

Photos copy only one way - iTunes to iPod. Not the other way around. Could it be that your iPod is being treated as camera? You can disable your computer from recognizing the touch as a camera. See this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1501
I have been synching my podcasts by using our house's wireless.
Wireless syncing is not supported. You can connect to iTunes and download, but you can't sync with your computer wirelessly.

If you synced your iPhone to your computer, the ringtone should be in your iTunes library.
Ringtones can only be downloaded once.

Tones
You cannot purchase ringtones and alert tones from your computer, but you can purchase them using your iOS device with iOS 5 or later. You can purchase tones on iPad, iPhone (3GS or later), and iPod touch (4th generation or later).
To locate tones in iTunes on an iOS device:
Tap the iTunes app.
Tap Tones. If Tones is not visible, tap More > Tones.
Browse for tones. Once you purchase a tone, a dialog is displayed. The dialog gives you an option to set your new tone as your default tone or assign it to a Contact. If you don't want to do anything with the tone just yet, simply tap Done.
Tones purchased using your iOS device are synced to your iTunes library when you connect your device to your computer. On an iPod touch or iPhone, you can find tones in Settings > Sounds. On an iPad, you can find tones in Settings > General > Sounds.
