IPOD touch Screen is blacked out. I charges and itunes recognizes it, only the screen remains black. Is there any way to fix this Problem. I have the latest software update and I restored it several times, but screen remains blacked out.

My IPOD touch 4th gen screen does not display.  The software seems to be working and itunes recognizes the device.  I have restored it and reset the IPOD several times but the screen is still black.  What can I do to fix it? your help is very much appreciated. I do not have access to an apple store since I am stationed in Afghanistan.

If you restored to factory defaults/new iPod (you did not say the type of restore your performed) and are still having the problem that indicates a hardware problem. An appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order..
