Irritating ringtone problem

Hi there
Any help would really be appreciated. Ever since updating to blackberry 6 OS on my 9300, I have a ringtone problem that, regardless of what I change in my profile settings, won't go away. My ringtone goes something like this: "Call from 082 ******* 90 (Whatever the number was), upgrade today to remove this message". Even with my phone on silent or vibrate it still rings. I've checked my profile settings for both silent and vibrate.. the volume is off and the ringtones are songs from my phone. I have no idea where its all coming from. Please help

Hmm. Updating my installation to 6.0.2 doesn't solve the crash. Bug report
submitted. I've attached here a simple VI demonstrating the problem that,
when run, results in a failure at line 2361 in "graphcrs.cpp". Be
interesting to see if it's a widespread thing or just my machine.

N97 ringtone problem

Hi,
I having this ringtone problem. Sometime when a phone ring, I get nokia ringtone instead of the tone which I set. It happened most of the time. It is very annoying.

SMS ringtone problem after ios5

Hello everyone
I've been facing a SMS ringtone problem since ios5. When i recieve a SMS or imessage, it rings sequential twice or even more. (Just like when you recieve two sms at the same time)
If I restart my iphone, this problem disappears for sometime. It comes a while after, though.
Is it a bug or something? It's really annoying.

Solved.
I've restored my iphone and set it up as a new iphone. I haven't been facing this problem since restore. Do not forget to restore it "as a new iphone". Do not backup from old.
Some tips for "restoring as a new iphone"
-iCloud would be helpful while getting your apps.
-Saving your camera roll photos to the pc then mailing them and saving them back in iphone can make your photo album as the same before.
-There are some free apps that can help you to back your contacts up.
-Change your iPhone name after restore. Otherwise iTunes may automatically backup from old.

5300, ringtone problem

Recently got my 5300, and i put most of my music onto my phone(the microSD chip). I try to set one of my mp3 songs as a ringtone, but the message 'Cannont be set as ringing tune'. So i looked up some stuff, and tried making the song(that is originally 5mb) into a 200kb mp3 file, hoping that it would be able to be used as a ringtone. But the same message appeared yet again.
Any suggestions? Cause im totally bumped about this issue.

in fact i have another serious problem with thiw "perfect" mobile!!!! my phone doesn't play the mp3 songs!!! irritating ee??? well it shows me the message that there are no mp3 files in the phone!! but i have many... and when i first get it it has not this problem... and i can not use the phone as an mp3 player n i can just listen them from the menu!!! some people said that this is a problem from the software and it needs up grade....what's your opinion?? do i have to download the appropriate softare via the nokia site??

Ringtone problems...

I am running iTunes 7.4.1.2 But I see no ringtone icon in my music. I looked under view -> view options, but there is no Ringtone item to check. I went to the iTunes store and saw that "Hotel California" is a song that can be made into a ring tone. I own that song so I right clicked on it and chose "create ringtone" The first time I did this it made me log on to purchase the ringtone and I believe it said it would take me to something at the apple store I would have to read and agree to. I never go there. nothing happened.
Next I tried to creat the ringtone again. This time I get a dialog that says "This song cannot be made into a ringtone, "Hotel California" by Eagles can no longer be made into a ringtone"
What is going on?

It's really difficult to post any solutions if you don't detail your problem. Please post back with details as to what additional problems you're having and I'm sure someone can help you. Alternatively, if you have an Apple Store in your area, take your iPhone there. They'll be happy to assist.

Ringtone Problem since GB Update

I love the Gingerbread update, BUT...
since the update, my assigned ringtones aren't working. When someone calls, the assigned ringtone plays for whoever was the last caller before that. I tried going in and reassigning all of my ringtones, but it didn't work. From Facebook, I know that I am not the only person having this problem.
Any suggestions???

X3 ringtone problem

can anyone please help?
I want to use an mp3 file as my ringtone, so i go to profiles - ringtones - memory card - select the song - select use - then save the changes. This works for about ten mins then the ringtone reverts back to the nokia tune.
I have also tried selecting other standard ringtones preinstalled on phone and the same thing happens. Is there something i am doing wrong?

Seems to be a problem as this should not happen.. but after selecting the ringtone.. Re-boot your phone and check whether the selected ringtone is still the same or has reverted back to Nokia Tune..If you still see the selected one.. then monitor if it reverts after about 10 minutes..

Ringtone problem, assigned ringtones not working

I realized that the phone would not ring assigned ringtones. I made numerous phone calls to tech support and spent hours with them troubleshooting this problem. We tried everything
When your ATT account has caller ID block, in order to unblock the number so people can see your phone number you have to enter *82 in front of the phone number in contacts. In one of the first conversations I had with tech support I believe I mentioned this and was told that it should not cause a problem.
_**It does,_ if there is anything at all besides the phone number under the contact the phone will not recognize that the number has an assigned ring tone.
Also if you have the same number in contacts twice for any reason, (maybe a contact and under favorites) you have to delete the duplicate or assign the desired ringtone to all contacts. Otherwise the phone will ring the default ringtone, not the one you assigned.
I hope this helps someone not to have to spend hours workig on this problem

It sounds like you have assigned ringtones to some of your contacts, but the customized tones aren't playing, and instead you get a default ring when they contact you. Any number of things can cause that issue, so I would recommend starting by quitting all the open apps on your phone, and then restarting it:
iOS: Force an app to close

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.

5230 MP3 ringtone problem

Hi, I just bought a 5230 (Nuron) last week. I have loaded a bunch of MP3 files onto the phone that work fine in the music player. I have several of them set as ringtones (this worked fine in my 5610 Xpress music). When somebody calls me, however, the songs drag badly-it sounds like a 45 rpm record playing at 33 rpm. Has anybody else had this problem and if so how do you fix it?

Open Nokia PC Suite...File-->file Manager...
It will show..Phone Memory and Memory Card Folders...
In Phone Memory.. Create a Folder (normal Right click-->New Folder.. Rename to Ringtones..
Select Memory card and locate the mp3 you want to transfer .. Select 'CUT' and 'PASTE' to the newly created ringtones folder...Confirm on the memory card that its deleted from there.. else Right click and Delete...
Now select the Ringtone for a contact and check..

N73 mp3 Ringtone Problem

When I set the ringtone to an mp3 track, which I've downloaded onto my phone, it rings but the track's interrupted by a voice. It sounds as if it's saying "frequency". How can I get rid if this?

Sounds to me like you have the "Say Callers Name" on. Go to Profiles, select your profile and then select Customize/Personalise. Now go down to the field "Say Callers Name" and turn this to "Off".

N96 video ringtone problem

I bougth the n95 yesterday and I already did the 11.0 update. There is a problem with the ringtones though. If I set a video ringtone in my general profile and someone from my contacts call me, it rings with the default ringtone and does not used the one I set. Anyone else experiences this?

WORKING VIDEO RINGTONE:
I managed to get video ringtones working by encoding to mp4 and making sure the resolution was small enough to fit the normal vertical screen size...
(btw the video i used was: MPEG4, 8.14 MB, 240x160, 15fps, AAC 64bit)
Though the only problem is it only runs for about 10 seconds or so ...
Il update if this is fixed ....

N80 Ringtone Problem

I have had my N80 for around 6 months though for some reason have just started to experience the following problem...
When I get a call for some reason the classic Nokia tune plays instead of the ringtone I have chosen in profiles. This doesn't happen all the time, only around 50% of the time but I have no idea why.

Perhaps something is becoming a little corrupted and it finds it easier to return to default.
Is there a firmware update available for your N80, I know that O2 haven't released it yet!

Ringtones Problem

Hello,
I,m using an N95 8GB and am having problems using the songs transferred to my phone as ringtones. Anytime I try it keeps on telling me that the song exceeds 600KB. To be realistic all mp3s exceed 600KB. So pls I need help. Any advice??

Having the same problem and worse. A few random songs without the ringtone bell bring up the editor (I think they are free songs), but the songs I have with the bell just flash the ringtone creator for a second and then fail. I'm just going to give it some time. If you get charged for something make sure you report it to the store. Otherwise I'd recommend just hanging in there for a couple days.

Using iTune songs as ringtones problem?

Hi all, my very first post and no doubt its been asked a million times but I did a quick search and couldn't find it so hence my question!
I have over 200 songs in my iTunes that I used to put on my iPod Shuffle. I upgraded my Blackberry Bold to an iPhone 4 that turned up yesterday. My problem is, that I can't seen to get any of the songs that are now on this phone to work as a ringtone. I did a search online that showed how to use songs bought off iTunes and downloaded straight to the phone as ringtones and also a thread on appleblog? that showed how to shorten down a song to be used as a ringtone but it then had posts underneath the thread saying it wasn't a compatible way of making ringtones with the newer iPhone 4.
Do I have to repay for songs I already have and have already bought through iTunes again to make it a ringtone as thats a bit of a swizz isn't it or am I just doing something wrong?
My iPhone knowledge is basic as I've owned it now for a day lol !!
If its needed its an iPhone 4 I have with OS 4.1 installed

E 63 ringtone problem

I have set a standard ringtone via Profiles / General / Ringing Tone.
The phone will not use this ringtone , so I went to Settings / General /Personalisation / Tones / ringing tone and if I make this tone same as Profiles then all my calls go to Voicemail. What am I doing wrong ? thanks

I'm not sure. I have only altered the profile settings. I can use .aac, mp3, even videos as my ringtone. Perhaps a softw reset will help. (*#7370#) Back up your contacts and anything else you need first.
