Is anyone aware of a Building Block for Blackboard and iTunesU?

We are having some difficulties getting our authentication up and running using our Blackboard system as the transfer authority to iTunesU. We are trying this with the Perl script but may not be working at this right. I thought that there might be enough Blackboard users and programming gurus out there that perhaps someone is working on a Building Block to use with Blackboard and iTunesU.

We have a process to go from Desire2Learn to iTunesU. You should be able to do the same sort of thing with blackboard.
What we did, is we setup a javascript post request coming out of Desire2Learn. This post request contains the course name, username and a few other important bits of information. This request goes to one of our servers which processes the passed information, and generates the necessary itunes tokens and then startes the itunes u authentication process.
There is no reason why you couldn't do something similiar in blackboard. Either way, you are going to need a "middleman" server to intercept the request out of Blackboard, and then process it and iniatiate the iTunes U authentication process.

The bellow way at document level.
One more way to maintian the billing block in the functionality of sales document types in VOV8
In VOV8 , Maintain proper value in billing block field.
So that , when you create the order or credit memo request system automatically pick the billing block.
Once remove the block of billling then only system allow to create the billing or credit memo.

This is from a tester describing what happens on a Mac:
No the program does not launch properly on the Mac
What happens is this.
I open my applications folder
I open the App Folder and see another folder labeled Program V2.1
I open that folder and see the Program blue icon which click to launch
The folder disappears and the blue Program icon appears in my dock along side other applications looking ready for launching.
This is where the problem starts
If I click on the blue Program icon which is in my dock along side all of my other application icons they all drop off the screen. like the screen resolution changed suddenly or something,
The menu along the top of the screen also moves off the screen . in the same manner
so my desktop which usually has a visible dock at the bottom and a menu bar on the top now doesn't show either of those elements.
I do have a couple of document icons on my desktop , you know text files or what ever they never move
If I now click my mouse anywhere on the screen all of the icons return including the blue Program icon still sitting in by dock, if I click it again same sequence of actions.
I deleted and reinstalled the latest version of Adobe Air and got the same result
I also want to mention
The top menu on the mac tells me what application is active, you know "finder" "Open office" "Firefox" what ever is program is running and active shows there
Program has never show up as being active in the top menu so I'm guessing never fully launched

I chose the ASROCK Extreme 11 due to the number of SATA3 ports. I haven't found any other 2011 socket mb's with the amount of SATA ports I require. Any alternatives recommended ?
My understanding is that HDD's wont benefit from a 6gb SATA3 connection so there is no point using these ports for any HDD - is this correct ?
I have viewed Todd's 'Optimizing Hard Disk Video' where he puts the Media Cache on the C drive. Where would you recommend the Media Cache be placed ?
My intention is to backup everything from both D & E RAID 0 volumes to F drive. I note some systems and recommendations have the exports being written directly to the larger, slower backup HDD but doesn't this mean the export takes longer to write ? I am assuming I am better off writing out my export file to a fast SDD and then backing up to my F: HDD later.
Any comments on the size of my E drive for Preview, Export, Media Cache...would 2 x 256gb drives in RAID 0 be adequate, considering I'm using this drive purely as temporary storage.
I also acknowledge that the C drive at 512gb may be overkill but I'd rather not run out of space there, especially if I need to use that drive for the pagefile and media cache or anything else recommended.
I look forward to reading your comments and suggestions and really appreciate any feedback / alternatives suggested.

The reason I chose the 1600mhz sticks instead of 2133mhz was because of stability fears, not because of price.
Also, I don't think I have seen any 64gb memory kits running at 2133mhz ?
If you think using the 2133mhz memory is worthwhile and stable, and gives a valuable performance boost I will consider that upgrade.
The GSkill 1600mhz is 1.5 volts and I have read concerns on this forum about using that voltage.
I'd really appreciate any suggestions from anyone about what 64gb 2133 mhz memory kit to purchase that is stable and runs well with an ASrock Extreme 11 motherboard and the 3930k processor.
As per other posts on this forum regarding memory, I'd rather have more memory over faster memory, hence why I am going for 64gb straight away.
As to the C drive size, I'll consider scaling that back to 256gb

Has anyone used Paragon NTFS or Tuxera for Median and Project Files

I have read lots of discussions about why this is not a good idea but my two options are to do this or switch to Sony Vargas for everything so it would be good if people could let me know if they have had this working successfully.
So has anyone successfully used either of these 2 NTFS drivers to edit SD/HDV or Prores projects on? My only experience has been using SD footage on an NTFS drive with the free NTFS-3G drivers. This worked fine as long as project files were on non NTFS drive (for same reason if I saved project on NTFS is saves a file with a size of zero bytes).

PS I wonder if this thread will stay on topic;).

Macs can read drives that are formatted in NTFS as is. The software you mentioned enables a Mac to write to those drives. That said, you should edit using drives that are optimized for FCP and formatted Mac OS Extended.
Nothing to stop you copying the media from an NTFS drive to work with and then copying the finished result back.
As you are now in the position of having to do this, why not do a test and report back with your results?

Building slideshows for emailing and the web. ie. compressing, max file si

I need to build a slide show for work with music and wish to email it as well as post it on my website. First, do you recommend using the full size files when building the slide show or resizing them first to help with the compression later. Second, after building the slide show should I export it to imovie and then to quicktime where I can compress it or do you recommend any third party applications? Most important is to use as many images as possible, add music, keep the quality as high as possible and then be able to send it over the web.

1. No matter what app or format you use if you want to
keep the quality as high as possible
you're going to have a large movie file - very likely too large to email.
2. iPhoto has a limited enough ability to make slideshows that are cut to music. You can make the entire thing in iMovie or in an app such as PhotoToMovie or Final Cut Express. All of these have greater export options than iPhoto. Here's an example of such a thing made in Final Cut Express: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpIdFcoYsss. The file was exported at HD quality and compressed by YouTube. If Final Cut is beyond your budget then my next choice would be PhotoToMovie.
3. Don't compress the files in any way until exporting as a movie, you're only adding to the damage.

Is anyone else having problems with Office for Mac and Lion?

Since installing Lion 10.7.1 on a macbook pro 2.53 Ghz 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3 I have had no end of problems. Both Excel and Word hang, crash and saving an Excel file is a pain. A 12mb spread sheet just took 4 minutes to save! I have MS Office for Mac 2011 version 14.1.3.
Another problem that may not be related to Office is that opening Finder is so slow and most of the time it takes a minute to display folders in Desktop or Documents.
Any suggestions would be welcome .. I regret installing Lion .. I had no problems with Snow Leopard!

Profit centre - block for posting and put as inactive status

Hi Guru,
I want to block a profit centre from being posted to AND put the status as inactive.
I checked on the Lock indicator and the profit centre automatically becomes inactive. However, I can still post to the PC.
I noticed that if the PC has an "Active" status and the lock indicator on, then I cannot post to the PC.
What have I missed? Do I need to make the setting in a special sequence??

Here is the step-by-step:
1.Go to T-code KE52 and call up your profit center
2. Go to the Indicators tab and put a check in the Lock indicator
3. Save:
Note that this will save your changes in an Inactive Status. You may be thinking that is a good thing and that youu2019re doneu2026I was. But youu2019re not. If you go to FB50 or 9KE0 and try to post to that profit center, it will let you post away all day long. One more step.
Click the Match stick button to Activate your new state:
Do not mess with the Validity periods unless youu2019ve got a good reason to. The real key here is setting the Lock indicator and making sure that is Active. Think of it as Actively locking your profit center.

Open Finder, highlight your Macintosh HD and select New Folder. Name it whatever you want. In Word there is an option to Save File in X folder. Select that new folder you created. Alternative to this is when saving a file a dialog window will open where you can select the folder to save in, select the folder you created and there should be an option to make this the Default folder to save to (but not sure about that option in the Save dialog box).

OBUSOBJECT Blocked for conversion and not getting activated

I have changed the infoobject OBUSOBJECT attribute 0Mainusage fron <b>navigational to display</b> and then tried activating the OBUSOBJECT , , OBUSOBJECT If in the former active version this IO had 0MAINUSAGE as a nav attribute, now, in a revised version, this is just display attribute. surprise that the OBUSOBJECT couldnt be activated by installation.
Please tell me what are the steps now to resolve this. i want to actiovate the OBUSOBJECT in either old active version or activate with new revisions. i am just stuck since it is not getting activated.

Hi Soniya,
If i have understood you properly, you have one attribute of the infoobject navigations, which u changed to display and tried activating and its not getting activated. This particular attribute is used in some othe cube as navigational attribute as well. Without deleting those references, u want to change the infoobject.
If thats the case, you will not be able to activate ur infoobject. All the reference have to be revoved before activating the object. Sorry for that
