Is fallback to rtmfp via server a valid approach?

Hi,
We are in the process of moving from Cirrus to own FMS 5 server ( upgraded from 3.5 ).
Would love to reap UDP related benefits even in case we have to fallback to server due to NAT issues.
I see this work in general, however, one client is behind a symmetric NAT, hence cannot connect peer-to-peer, but also is he not able to connect to server using rtmfp.
I tested the fallback by closing down UDP in the firewall between peers, but didn't test specifically with symmetric NAT routers.
Is this expected behaviour?
I didn't expect a relationship between the NAT hole punching capability and the use of UDP as a streaming protocol.
The VideoMeeting sample app does fallback to rtmp, as we had it before ( on 3.5 ), be we were hoping for the lower UDP related latency by using rtmfp instead.
Do you think this is a valid approach?
The cc.rtmfp.net server show this result:
Kind regards,
Frans Maas

Hi Mark,
Thanks for your answer.
I have read the RTMFP section in my Adapter.xml file forward and backward, but I have no clue how to configure the translation you refer to.
Two specs that comes close are:
<ForwardIHelloMode>rhello</ForwardIHelloMode>
and
<Core>
<HostPortList>
<HostPort>:19350-65535</HostPort>
</HostPortList>
</Core>
Please hold my hand, Thanks!

  • Failed Logins - Token Based Server Access Validation Failed

    Hi All-
    I am trying to track down, well for lack of a better word (an annoyance).  I have a VM running a proprietary utility (VMware update manager) that connects to a remote SQL VM.  This connection is via a service account that from the surface has the
    appropriate permissions.  The setup and utility has been in and is working as it should.  However in our logs we are constantly seeing.
    SQL Event Viewer - Login failed for DOMAIN/REMOTESERVERNAME$ Reason: Token-based server access validation failed with an infrastructure error.  Check for previous errors [CLIENT: REMOTEIP OF REMOTESERVERNAME]
    Then in the SQL Logs I am seeing the same error and also - ERROR 18546, Severity 14, State 11
    I have read dozens of threads - pointing to UAC.  I have elevated SSMS via UAC and allowed it to run as administrator.  Also ran as admin, and reapplied the permissions to that service account, db_owner
    What I have read is about AD/user account.  However in this case I am seeing the remote server name, not service account.  Got me thinking a service is running as network or local system, and phoning home to SQL.  However everything I see
    is using the service account for that utility.  Also in the event viewer in the security portion for that same time, I see the login and log off as successful.  Could anyone try to point me in the right direction, without flat out adding the servername
    to the local SQL VM administrators group.
    Thank you in advance for any assistance.

    Rather than adding the machine account to the admin group, you could do:
      GRANT CONNECT TO [Domain\Remoteservername$]
    And then you could set up a logon trigger that captures information about the login. That would include app_name() as well as the Windows process id. This could help you track exactly which process that is knocking on the door.

  • Cisco AP disable PEAP server certificate validation

    Hi,
    My question if it is possible on Cisco 1600 AP's  to  disable the server certificate validation on a dot1x peap authentication method (please provide if any the appropiate CLI)
    I now the in PEAP for a PEAP user implementation you want to validate the the server as that this is PEAP phase 1.
    But we want only user PEAP as machine authentication, which I don't care the validation of the server. hence like in Windows you have a check box, so you can disable the validation of it.
    Thanks in advance,
    Kind regards,
    Michel

    Not really, let me explain the toplogy;
    we want to enable 802.1x on the network switches and let the Cisco AP authenticate the AP (PEAP-MSCHAPv2) on the switch via 802.1x. Therefore we specify the following config on the AP:
    eap profile PEAP
    method peap
    dot1x credentials test
    username
    password xxxxxx
    interface GigabitEthernet0
    dot1x pae supplicant
    dot1x credentials test
    dot1x supplicant eap profile PEAP
    The question is the a possebility to disable the server certificate validation (as like in Windows) because we want to verify the AP, and yes I know for PEAP-user implementation it is a good practise to validate the server certificate.
    Kind regards,
    Michel

  • Non-SysAdmins get error 18456 Severity 14 State 11 Login Failed for user _ Reason Token-based server access validation failed with an infrastructure error.

    I have a SQL 2008 R2 system (10.50.4000) where I'm having problems connecting any user that is not a SysAdmin.  Example: I setup a new SQL Login to use Windows Authentication and grant that user db_datareader on the target database.  The user attempts
    to connect using Excel client or Access or SQL Management Studio and receives Error 18456.  The SQL Server Logs shows Error 18456 Severity 14 State 11 Login Failed for user _ Reason Token-based server access validation failed with an infrastructure error.
    The strange part is that if I temporarily grant the user the sysadmin server role then the user can connect successfully and retrieve data.  But, if I take away that sysadmin server role then the user can no longer connect but again receives the Error
    18456 Severity 14 State 11 Login Failed for user _ Reason Token-based server access validation failed with an infrastructure error.
    We've turned off UAC on the client machine to see if that was the problem, but no change.
    I have dropped and re-added the user's SQL Login (and the related database user login info).  No success.
    The Ring Buffers output shows:
    The Calling API Name: LookupAccountSidInternal
    API Name: LookupAccountSid
    Error Code: 0x534
    Thanks for any help.
    -Walt

    Yes, you understand correctly.  The user is logging onto a workstation (not the server) with a Windows Authenticated id.  The user is using either Excel or Access or SSMS and connecting to the server using a Windows Authenticated SQL Login account.
     If the account has sysadmin role (which is only for testing) then the connection is successful.  If I take away sysadmin role from the account then the connection is unsuccessful and the SQL Server Log shows Error
    18456 Severity 14 State 11 Login Failed for user _ Reason Token-based server access validation failed with an infrastructure error.
    (SQL Authentication is not an option here.  I must use Windows Authentication).
    Any other troubleshooting assistance you can offer would be appreciated.  Thanks.

  • Token-based server access validation failed with an infrastructure error

    Hi
    We have a new Win 2008 Enterprise x64 server running SQL 2008
    When we try to connect to the server using Windows Authentication, from a user account which is a domain administrator, we get the following message:
    "Token-based server access validation failed with an infrastructure error"
    What needs to be configured here for this to work ?
    Thanks
    Bruce

    Hi,
    I am encountering the same error message but it is more around the login, this problem happens only on one server but it is fine on another three, my investigation show it is a ghost SID associated with AD user account
    Background
        1- An Active Directory (AD) account was created for a user [Domain\UserA]
        2- A SQL login was created for the account above and then granted access to a number of databases
        3- The AD account was renamed/modified to [Domain\UserB]
        At this stage the user would encounter an error when connecting to the server
        The sql log show this error message
        Error: 18456, Severity: 14, State: 11.
        Message
        Login failed for user 'domain\user'. Reason: Token-based server access validation failed with an infrastructure error. Check for previous errors.     [CLIENT: xxx]
    Action on Server 1 SQL (the one with the problem)
        1- Dropped the user from the databases
        2- Re-Created the login from the windows account [Domain\UserB]
        3- Created the user in the respective databases
        But the user still unable to connect to the server
    Investigation
        On server 1, the SID of the user in SYSUSERS was Matching SYSLOGINS and matches with result of SUSER_SID(Domain\UserA)
        But it does not match the SID in the AD
        The rest of the servers all have the correct SIDs
        When I use SUSER_SNAME(Incorrect-Sid) and SUSER_SNAME(Correct-Sid) on this server they both return [Domain\UserB]
        The problematic server is always returning the incorrect SID when recreating the user login and when using SUSER_SID(Domain\UserA) as if it is cached somewhere.
    I can't specify the SID when creating the SQL login because it is using the Windows account
    Your ideas on how to fix this problem are much appreciated
    Regards,
    DGL

  • Restoring AppSet in BPC 7.0 MS from BPC 5.0.486 MS via Server Manager

    Hello there,
    we can't solve the problem when restroring AppSet from elder version of BPC. After backup files have made and copied to the server with BPC 7.0, we tried to restore them via Server Manager. At the last stage  (OLAP stage) process of restoring failed without any error descriptions. SQL 2005 is installed in both servers.
    Are there any ideas? And is it possible to upgrade AppSet into new version of BPC MS?
    Regards, Maksim.

    Dear Maksim Gertsev,
    You can't backup from SAP BPC 5.x and restore into SAP BPC 7 MS. You should set the dimension TIME and others dimension. Please find the upgrade document SAP BPC 5.x To be SAP BPC 7.0 MS in SAP Support Web (OSS Note)

  • [ASK] Duplicated Error Message on server side validation

    I want to use server-side validation instead of client-side validation for my input form as suggested by John Stageman, by:
    1). set required=false
    2). set showRequired=true
    3). Ensure that the attribute is mandatory in the model layer
    It seems to work, except that the error message displayed by <af:messages> is kinda weird bcause they are repeated, for example;
    Attribute Attr1 in MyAM.MyView is required
    Attribute Attr2 in MyAM.MyView is required
    - Attribute Attr1 in MyAM.MyView is required
    - Attribute Attr2 in MyAM.MyView is required
    Attribute Attr1 in MyAM.MyView is required
    Attribute Attr2 in MyAM.MyView is requiredand the number of reduplication seems growing each time I click the Save button.
    besides, for "value required" validation, the component related error message is not displayed (the red message under the component).
    Any clues?
    Thanks..
    @John : I decide to open it as new thread bcause it seems to be different question..

    Hi, thanks for your fast response Frank,
    My page has several iterator binding and I have tried to set all of their refresh options as you suggested, but the problem still remains the same T_T
    Maybe somewhere, someone has put some additional manual validation, bcause it is a team project, I still dont know where to find those phantom codes..

  • Server side validation problem

    Hi,
    Trying to do server-side validation for a table with usernames, where if the username exists, a simple message in red is posted back to the JSP.
    I was only able to get it to work if 1 (out of about 23) usernames was entered, because for some reason my results set, while being looped, was only returning 1 value all the time.
    My servlet looks like the following, with a few if conditions to trigger the RequestDispatcher object appropriately.
    public class ChangeControlUserAcctServletSPCall extends HttpServlet{
    private Connection connection;
        public void doGet(HttpServletRequest request,
                          HttpServletResponse response)

    Thanks!

    Had one (a WHERE clause) in there and later took it
    out, but I don't think I'd originally applied it
    correctly any way.Apparently not.
    >
    Are you saying just run a WHERE clause equivalent to
    the username request parameter, then make some
    boolean value that if it matches (and the boolean's
    true), reject it with some message? I'll admit that I didn't read your code (too much trouble), but it sounds like you're trying to validate a given user who has supplied a username (and maybe a password?) that's unique to them. You query your database for that username. If it doesn't appear, they can't come in. If the username appears but the password is wrong, they can't come in. If both match, you give them a credential or token of some kind that tells all your other pages "This person is all right."
    Therefore skipping over how ever many or few users are in there?You only want to transfer the one you need over the wire, and you only want to check the one that has a chance of matching the password. Why bother with a million other users if the username is unique?
    This has very few, but yeah, that's a better idea to
    trim that down were this (I don't see it doing so,
    but who knows, right?) ever to grow.I'd get it deployed and working before I'd worry about it growing.

  • Send via server communication error

    Until today I could wirelessly transfer my pictures from my SX280 HS to my computer from a remote location useing "Send via Server". Today after the first file upload progress bar completes, I get "Communication Error" "Error Detected". Is something wrong with the server? I am able to upload to the Canon Image Gateway, but that option offers no automatic transfer to my computer. I have reinstalled Camer Window and have tried again with my computer turned both off and on. I also reset the wireless settings on the camera. None of this works. All the other wireless functions on the camera work fine.
    Perhaps its a firewall issue, but disabling the Norton firewall doesn't help either. Does anyone have any suggestions for making this work?
    Thanks,
    Bob
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    I was able to solve this problem roughly as follows:
    I logged into my Canon iMage Gateway account and deleted all existing web services listed there
    -- Click on the link for your camera
    -- Click on "Web Service Settings"
    -- Click on "Delete camera link settings".
    I then connected the camera to my desktop where Camera Window is installed. Wifi or USB both work.
    I reestablished the "Web Service Setting" through Camera Window.
    I am not at that machine right now and cannot walk anyone through the exact steps for this part of the process
    That's it. I disconnected the camera from the computer and attempted the "Send via Server" option on the camera. It worked the first time. Photos uploaded into the ether and magically appeared in the designated folder on my home computer.

  • Server side validation

    Hi I am trying to validate two forms the first form allows a customer to register if it is correctly validated then it proceeds to address form as these two tables are linked by foreign key so when u create account in one need to do it at the same time for both. I tried client side JavaScript to validate the forms which works but don t prevent the accounts from being created if wrong. This method I tried to implement:

    Java methods aree fine but when I try to access these ion the JSP page it fucks up I can t see how to resolve the issues can anyone help ?

    Hi the code that I showed you was on two separate pages one in the java file where I have tried numerous methods at server side validation
    e.g.
    private int validate = 0;
    //StringTokenizer is used to check for empty spaces as in prevents user from submitting a empty form
         //countTokens count the number of empty spaces between the words if no words no token it would be empty and validate to 0
         //otherwise it would equal 1 and the message output shall appears on the screen. To be exact as long as it count the number of whitespaces this means
         //if it is more then 1 it can be then there must be text present in the text field and thus tokens can be made.
         /*public String getIsEmpty()
              String output = "nothing";
              StringTokenizer Email = new StringTokenizer(getBnEmail());
              StringTokenizer Title = new StringTokenizer(getBnTitle());
              StringTokenizer FirstName = new StringTokenizer(getBnFirstName());
              StringTokenizer LastName = new StringTokenizer(getBnLastName());
              StringTokenizer Occupation = new StringTokenizer(getBnType_Of_Occupation());
              StringTokenizer Password = new StringTokenizer(getBnpassword() );
              StringTokenizer confirmpass = new StringTokenizer(getBnpassword2());
              StringTokenizer Numbers = new StringTokenizer(getBnNumber());
              StringTokenizer Date1 = new StringTokenizer(getBnExp_Date());
              StringTokenizer Type = new StringTokenizer(getBnType() );
              StringTokenizer cardholder = new StringTokenizer(getBnCardholder_Name());
              if (Email.countTokens() < 1 || Title.countTokens() < 1 || FirstName.countTokens() < 1 || LastName.countTokens() < 1 || Occupation.countTokens() < 1 || Password.countTokens() < 1 || confirmpass.countTokens() < 1 || Numbers.countTokens() < 1 || Date1.countTokens() < 1 || Type.countTokens() < 1 || cardholder.countTokens() < 1)
                   output = "Please fill in all fields. Thank you.";
                   System.out.println("this is empty at first attempt and then second time nothing typed");
                   validatem = 0;
                   output = "To fill in your address details proceed to this page by <a href=\"../jsp/NewAddress.jsp\"> clicking here</a>";
                   validatem = 1;
              return output ;
    This method works it counts the empty spaces and if any it does not allow the user to proceed to same page but if correct it goes to the same page but show all their answers filled using jsp:get Property and then the link above to the other form to fill in the code. However no indivdual messages can be passed to the user which is crap as the people keeps pressing he won t know what is wrong.
    The method that I am currently using is this one:
         public boolean isValidUserData() {
                   System.out.println(bnFirstName);
                   return (( bnFirstName !=null) && (bnFirstName.length() >0) &&
                        (bnpassword !=null) && (bnpassword.length() != 8) &&
                        (bnpassword2 !=null) && (bnpassword2.length() != 8)&&
                        (bnemail !=null) && (bnTitle !=null) &&
                        (bnLastName != null) && (bnLastName.length() >0) &&
                        (bnType !=null) && (bnNumber !=null) &&
                        (bnExp_Date !=null) && (bnCardholder_Name != null) &&
                        (bnType_Of_Occupation !=null));
    again this method is held in the Java file. This works the best as it checks for empty spaces however the password verification it does not do check whether password 1 matches password 2 nor the fact that password should be 8 characters only or check whether the user is typing in an integer or not etc. I can do this in JavaScript the integer one I am not sure. I then use JSP page which is this below:
    <jsp:useBean
         id="newcust"
         scope="session"
         class="projectshowbeans.customer2"
         />
    <!--
    <jsp:useBean
         id="newaddress"
         scope="page"
         class="projectshowbeans.Address"
         />
    <jsp:setProperty
         name="newaddress"
         property="bnemail"
         param="frmemail"
         />
    -->
    <jsp:setProperty

         param="frmemail"

  • Disable ADF Client and Server side validation during drop down changes

    In my ADF Faces there is PanelFormLayout containing dropdown with country code value. Changing the dropdown value should change the layout to different country.
    If the data is proper in the form the Layout changes perfectly but if the data is not proper it gives client validation & the layout doesn't get changed.
    I want to disable the client/server side validation while changing the dropdown.

    Hi Just framing the Question once again -
    In my ADF Faces there is PanelFormLayout containing dropdown with country code value. Changing the dropdown value should change the layout to different country.
    If the data is proper in the form, the Layout changes perfectly but if the data is not proper it gives client validation & the layout doesn't get changed.
    I want to disable the client side validation just for that page or panelformLayout
    Issue -
    If the data is incorrect on the form, user is able to change the countrycode from the dropdown but the layout doesn't changes because client validation is stopping.
    Below is the code -
    1) Changing the drop down cause the switcher to call the code - defaultFacet="#{backingBeanScope.AddressComp.displayType}" which changes the layout.
    2) But if the data is not correct the country value is getting change with the new Country but the Layout is unable to get change. ADF start showing client validation.

  • Cannot connect via Server app

    Decided to install the Lion Server on this iMac 27" quad-core i7 with 8GB RAM. Downloaded it from the MAS, Read the Getting Started documentation, then opened the Server app. Selected "this mac" and entered my admin name and password. Server app refused them.
    Is there a special admin name and password that I should be using? Where would I find them?
    Or is there some other issue that is preventing me from connecting? I can't find anything in the documentation.
    Thanks!

    Same here. I upgraded to lion server on day one and all was well. Logged in and out via server admin from the server itself and another machine with no problem. naturally I downloaded the new server admin app as well.
    On day two I tried to login in and got a could not connect condition from the non-server machine when I tried to connect to it. So I logged into the server directly with to OS admin account and launched Server from there. At this point you are prompted to connect to "this" server or another. I chose the server I was on and got the password shudder trying to get into server admin.
    No possibility of forgetting the password, it's the same one I use to log into the OS.
    Could not get into it with the other admin account I had setup either.
    Something is very wrong here.

  • BizTalk Published Web Service unable to consume, Token-Based Server access validation error

    Hi, We have developed a BizTalk application and we have published as web service, but when we are trying to consume the application we are getting the an error and its logged
    in event log.
    While deploying we have allowed Anonymous user access for the web services as well.
    Following are the errror details -
    "Login failed for user 'IIS APPPOOL\ASP.NET v4.0 Classic'. Reason: Token-based server access validation failed with an infrastructure error. Check for previous errors. [CLIENT: <local machine>]"
    I tried to change it other App pool as well. It seems an issue with permissions related to BizTalk user's/Group,
    Please suggest which app pool should we select or should we give permissions to App Pools.

    The User of App Pool should be part of "BizTalk Isolated Host Users Group".
    In your case user is "IIS APPPOOL\ASP.NET v4.0 Classic", so either you add this user to BizTalk Isolated Host Users
    Group or create a new App Pool with new user. I would suggest to go for new user specific to BizTalk.
    This permission is required because IIS(App Pool(w3wp.exe)) will be publishing new messages to BizTalk Databases. So they should have required permissions to do that and in BizTalk we have a default group for the same, as suggested by Shankycheil.
    BizTalk Isolated Host Users
    The default name of the first Isolated BizTalk Host Group created by Configuration Manager. Isolated BizTalk hosts not running on BizTalk Server, such as HTTP and SOAP.
    Use one BizTalk Isolated Host Group for each Isolated Host in your environment.
    Contains service accounts for the BizTalk Isolated host instance in the host that the Isolated BizTalk Host Group is designated for.
    BTS_HOST_USERS SQL Server Database Role in the following databases:
    BizTalkMgmtDb
    BizTalkMsgBoxDb
    BizTalkRuleEngineDb
    BizTalkDTADb
    BAMPrimaryImport
    Thanks,
