Is it a bug? setIconImage locks the GC

When I set the icon on the JFrame ( this.setIconImage(...) ) , everything seems well except when I dispose this JFrame, the garbage collector doesn't free the memory. If I don't set the icon the memory is diposed. I have tested this code with netbeans profiler on Linux and Windows and the behavior is exactly the same.
Any idea?

It is really annoying as sometimes the phone doesn't respond to attempts to end the call before it connects to the number. I then have to explain that it was my phone and not me, I look like an idiot, which I don't really need any extra help with!! Does anyone have any ideas? I don't want to stop missed call from showing in the locked screen but it might be associated with the failed calls and therefore be the only resolution

I have had the same issue which was driving me mad but think I have just found a way around it. In iOS 7 if you swipe up on the lock screen to access quick settings and go into timer then click the home button you get into the phone without calling the person back. Not a great 'fix' but hope it works for you. Come on Apple this isn't good enough, fix this bug otherwise you will lose your customers.

Can I lock the code view?

Apologies in advance if this has been covered, but I haven't been able to find the answer to this...
When working with a split view (usually live), every time I make an amendment and update the live view, my cursor position or code view jumps to the end of my document. Is there anyway to lock the code position or cursor so that when I click on my live view, the cursor doesn't automatically go to the appropriate code and stays where I was editing?

[Solved] Gnome: Locking the screen only locks one of two monitors

Hey guys,
I'm using Arch for quite a while and I am really happy with it. Today I faced a problem, which no one else seems to have. At least, I wasn't able to find any infos on the net:
When locking the screen, gnome only locks my primary monitor. I cannot only see the windows on my secondary screen, but also use them with the mouse (but not with the keyboard).
Does anyone have an idea, how to solve this or how to find out, what could cause the problem?
I'm using the current versions of Gnome and the nvidia drivers and only one graphics card with one dvi and one hdmi port.
I happily provide more infos, if needed.

Since this was introduced with the current version of gnome-screensaver and since this is a crucial feature (at least for me at work) I did the following to get it working again, until there is fix:
Download and install the previous version of gnome-screensaver (here: x86_64):
wget "http://schlunix.org/archlinux/extra/os/x86_64/gnome-screensaver-3.4.1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz"
pacman -U gnome-screensaver-3.4.1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
Prevent pacman from upgrading gnome-screensaver, with adding the following to /etc/pacman.conf:
IgnorePkg = gnome-screensaver
When there is a fix, just remove "gnome-screensaver" from "IgnorePkg" and update your system as usual.

Creating a class member VI from a template locks the class library.

I have a LabVIEW (8.6.1) class where I need to create a number of very similar member VI's. In order to make this process more convenient, I created a couple of VI templates. However, I've found that creating a new VI from the template always locks the class library. The library then remains locked until I close and reopen the project.
When I select "Why is library locked?" from the context menu, I'm told:
"The library is locked because: This LabVIEW class is loaded in multiple application instances. Classes must be in only a single application instance to be edited. The containing library is locked."
I have the same problem if I create a new project (see attached ZIP file), add a class, and then add two templates. Everything seems OK if I have only one template.
Am I doing something wrong, is this a bug in LabVIEW, or do I misunderstand the expected/intended behavior of template VI's? Is there a way to "unlock" the class library without closing and reopening the project?

That's an error from the OS leaking into Photoshop. It is due to a bug in MacOS 10.10 that occurs in the open and save dialogs (which are controlled by the OS). Apple is aware of this and working on solutions.
Some people have had luck changing the view in the open/save dialogs to grid view or list view.

My iphone4s does not lock the screen automatically when playing music and charging

My iphone4s (iso5.1) does not lock the screen automatically with the condition in charging and playing music.
System has been set to lock the screen in 1 mins.
Everything goes fine when not in charging, the system can lock well even playing music.
System can lock as well when all the music playing apps are closed, even when charging.
I don't think that's my apps' problem, all my music playing apps have the same problem.
My ipod has the exact same problem described above, I believe that's an iso system bug.

I have set the CustWiz/MST to 'Disable and Lock' the ability to display PDFs in the browser. We want them to open separately in Acrobat. After I deploy, the setting IS disabled and locked, but when you click a PDF in the browser, it STILL opens in the browser, and not in Acrobat.
I am pushing Acrobat onto machines that already have Acrobat Standard 9 installed with the same settings. It worked properly then.
What is causing this setting to be ignored? How can I fix it? It's delaying my deployment.

Thank you for the answer about updating the Foxit plugin. Firefox tags the Foxit plugin as potentially unstable, so it turns out I had another program killing the plugin's startup process so it was always disabled in firefox. I reenabled its startup process and updated the plugin. To get firefox to use it as the main pdf reader I went to options>applications and changed the option for pdf to the foxit plugin and everything works dandy now! Thanks again!

E71 locking the memory card?!

I think I found a bug: I activated the remote lock optio (you send a SMS when a predifined lock message in case your phone gets stollen, nice feature, btw), after that my battery went dead, upon powering up the phone I got a prompt "enter passwod to unblock memory card" (or something similar). Just when i was about to format the card (in different forums it says it´s the only option to unblock the card) I found a post from a user that had a similar proble AFTER activiting the remote lock option. He suggested trying the same password as for the remote lock message. I did and it worked.
A have a question for Nokia: is that supposed to be like this? I don´t think so...

A small bug on lock screen

Hi,
there was a bug on lock screen before the update and it is still there. I thought Sony might have not been noticed it because it is really a small bug so I wanted to give information. If you use draw pattern when you touch left or right bottom corner for a while it reflects as you touch widget. Or if you slide top to down at right or left corner it enlarges the widget.

Pkgchk command gives a message "Couldn't lock the package database"

I have observed that whenever my script file executes pkgchk command on Solaris 10 it gives the error message "Couldn't lock the package database". This was not the case with Solaris 9.
I would like to know if this is a bug with Solaris 10 ? Does it impact on functionality ? Is there anyway to stop this message getting displayed ?

I think the error is referring to the /var/sadm/install/contents file. It may be because you have a confused packaging command still running, like pkgadd or pkgrm. In any case, this is not the right forum. For Solaris 10 problems you should contact Sun Support, though install-discuss at opensolaris.org might help.

Why don't you allow one to LOCK the Bookmarks Toolbar? Why don't you allow one to LOCK the menu toolbar?
This is insane. Sometimes my bookmarks toolbar is here, sometimes it disappears. There is no way to lock it so it stays in sight. Don't blame my anti-virus program, the tool bar stayed locked in place until you "Updated" firefox, and now you can't find a darned thing. It's so frustrating I may go back to IE...at least there, I knew I"d always be able to find AND lock a tool bar.

808 Display doesn't go off after locking the phone

When i lock the phone with the slider on the right side, the screen used to go black (or any screensaver would go on, if activated).
Suddenly, when locking the phone, nothing happens. the screen dimms a little bit, but it's still on. It doenst matter weather i activate any kind of screensaver, the display always stays on (the keys are locked, i also see the locked sign in the menu bar). When i restart the phone, nothing changes.
Only when I take out the battery for a while, the screen saver comes back up again. Everything seems to be working fine, until the next restart. Then the same problem happens again.
Is this a known bug (couldn't find anything on goole)? Am I doing anything wrong? It's driving me really crazy to see my Display on all the time (I also don't want to take out the battery after every restart)
I also have to say that this happens to me on FP1 and FP2, even on a 2nd phone (thx to Amazon).
Any help is really appreciated

Guys, I too had/have this problem in my 808. The only thing i did was to type *#7780# followed by the security code and restore all the settings. And it worked!
Sometimes only restoring the phone to factory resets doesn't work. But i guess this might be happened only once to me.
So in that case you may want to delete and restore data but every data/app from the mass memory will get lost. So remember to back up.
Before trying this, have you all tried re-installing the firmware? It might help to some extent.
