Is it possible to auto create albums based off of the saved keywords

I would like to import my photos but have them organized in albums by the keywords saved in the image tags. Is this possible? I have a large collection that I currently manage on a PC with Abobe Elements 5 and I don't want to have to recreate each album.

I believe Aperture should import keywords you have attached to images.
From there, it's really easy to make a smart album based on one or more keywords - you would want to make these folders after import though, then the simple keyword search field will be populated with all possible keywords.

Reboot and try installing in the new enabled Admin user account and check.

Automatically create albums based on rolls?

My iPhoto photos are very well arranged by rolls. However, there isn't a way in other iLife programs or Front Row to browse by rolls. Is it possible for iPhoto to automatically create albums for each imported roll (with Automator or otherwise)?

I don't use Automator much but all you need to do is to drag a roll icon into the Source pane to create an album with the same name as the roll.
If you import manually, i.e. a folder containing the image files, and drag the folder into the Source pane you'll create a roll and album with the same title as the folder you used to drag the photos with.
Now that iPhoto puts the originals in individual folders representing the rolls, there are a number of image browsers that will let you browser the roll folders that are located in the iPhoto Library/Originals folder. For example: QPict, ImagePlus, ImageBrowser, iFastViewer. However, remember Don't tamper with files in the iPhoto Library folder from the Finder. All changes to the photos, moving, renaming must be done by iPhoto.

Looking for a way to create a feild that will auto fill based on previously entered data. For example.
First________
Middle_______
Last_________
Ideally i could take someones names they enter and auto fill a feild for Last, First, Middle or even a Last, First, Middle Initial.

I am brand new to this and was curious are these "var i , j, and k" just for this field. Or will these continue to be how I refer to the first , middle and last fields?

Wish I could create album by month of the year

Hi all -
I'm creating a photo calendar again for my family. In each month, I want to have pictures from that month. There are years of work in my 7200 photos. Is there any way to create a smart album that only has pictures taken in March, for example? I can create an album for March of 2008 but not for March only, from 1999-2008. Are there any third party software solutions that are able to mine the photo data to create such an album?

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

Creating PO based up on the Material

I have requirement like, if the purchase requisition created for Materials A1, A2 and A3. When it goes for Order, one PO should be created for Material A1 and A2 and another PO should be created for Material A3 automatically. This should happen every time, no manual intervention should be there.
Is ther any way to do that?

Is your A1, A2, and A3 means different material?
I don't know if you would like to have different PO for an PR when the PR item is different, if so, you may use ME59 or ME59N to convert the PR into PO and select the New PO requirement as Per requisition item.
Or if you use the transaction ME21n to convert the PR into PO via the Document overview, then you may also allow to select only one single line material from PR instead of ALL material in the PR.

LOV in select box based off of the group the current user is in

Hi,
I need a drop down to display status codes for a user but it that user is a manager then I only need the approval codes to show up. IE: A user will create a record and slect New, Pending Approval, Inprocess and Completed. A manager will see the coes to Approve or Reject. At least that's what I need to happen.
I have been trying to do something like this in a selection list(drop down) in it's LOV section:

No, it raises an exception, just as it would in SQL*Plus.
I take it APEX text boxes where you enter code in, are somehow specially parsed?
In most places in Application Express where it lets you enter anonymous blocks, it puts more code around it to be able to use it in the intended context. Sometimes that means treating the code as a boolean function, sometimes it does other stuff. In this case it has to turn the block into a function that returns a SQL query which can then be parsed.

Create a view in the database based off a jdbc connection

I have some data in a DB2 database that I would like to union with a table in an Oracle Database in the Oracle Database.
Can I create a jdbc connection in the Oracle database that points to the DB2 database and then create a view based off of the jdbc connection?
I've never done anything like this , but if this a no brainer please just post a link or something that points me in the right direction thanks...

Getting a Sales Order Number based off a Customer PO Number

I have a program that runs nightly that created orders based off files from another program. I use the order numbers from the other program as the Customer PO Number in the SAP order. This works fine. Now I'm trying to write a report where the user can put in that PO Number (the order number from the other program) and get the order details. Currently I'm doing a select on VBAK, but it goes really slow. It takes about 3-5mins a search. Are there any other tables or ways you all can think of to speed this up?

VBAK is the header table, so is best possibility...
but the field you are using for select is a nonkey field...
the select is slow when a where clause exists with a nonkey field..
so either
create an secondary index on that field
or
donot use any nonkey field in the where clause at all, though this fetches more records but works much faster than passing a nonkey element. after getting the values into an internal table , use 'delete itab where field NE ponum. '
this wil work much faster

Populate multiple rows and columns based off of a single cell

Does anyone know a way to populate multiple rows and columns based off of the input of a single cell. I'm trying to create a workout tracker that auto populates from a master list of workouts. Example, in A2 the user selects the workout from a drop down menu (St1, St2, St3, etc) and the workout is pulled from the master list and is populated into B2:C5.
I'm using =LOOKUP(A2,Master :: A2:A32,Master :: C2:C32) right now, but it's only drawing the top column. I'm looking for an edit for the formula (or completely new formula) that will place the info from the 1st column of the Master table into the 1st column of the Auto Tracker 1 table and then on down until the 4th column.

Your screenshots show that you have merged some cells in Column A of both tables. That may be the reason why the LOOKUP function is having trouble working out which range of cells to examine.
