Is it possible to determine the volume of a cylindrical tank in the horizontal position using Lookout objects?

Rather than doing this calculation in my plc's programming language, I was wondering if anyone has done this or might have an idea on how to do it in Lookout. I am using an ultrasonic level sensor to get the tank level, I just am not sure on how to calculate theta (how full the tank is in degrees) using Lookout.
Any response would be appreciated.

Hi, I should have looked in the forums first to find this answer, would have saved me some work. I'm using lookout, and needed to find gallons in a horizontal tank, I came up with the following formula...Then I decided to come to the forums to post the example, and I found this thread already started.
(LenghFeet*(((DiaFeet/2)^2*(acos(((DiaFeet/2)-(LevelInches/12))/(DiaFeet/2))))-(sqrt(2*((DiaFeet/2)*(LevelInches/12))-(LevelInches/12)^2)*((DiaFeet/2)-(LevelInches/12)))))*7.48
Where in my example lookout file:
LenghFeet=Pot used to enter the length of the tank in Feet (would be hard coded in production program)
DiaFeet=Pot used to enter the diameter of the tank in Feet (would be hard coded in production program)
LevelInches=Pot used to enter the height of the liquid in the tank in Inches (would be from the field instrument measuring this in inches)
7.48=gallons in a cubic foot
The attached example is the source (.lks) file, so you will need to change the extension from .txt to .lks and then compile it.

To an extent yes. You can't control the master volume, but tou can turn the volume up and down, up to the maximum set manually on your computer.

The creation of the shadow copy on the backup destination has failed. Detailed Error: The Volume Shadow Copy operation failed with the error 0x80042316

When using Microsoft Backup on a Windows Server 2008 SP2 (not R2 - [Microsoft version 6.0.6002]) I get the error "The creation of the shadow copy on the backup destination has failed. Detailed Error: The Volume Shadow Copy operation failed with the

The odd thing is that when I start the backup manually, it works fine. When it runs automatically the error appears.
When doing a SFC /scannow I do get errors that can't be corrected.
Is there anything short of rebuilding this machine (It's a DC and the only one this office has) I can do to fix this?

0x80042316 means "Another shadow copy creation is already in progress". This error could occur when another VSS instance is running.
Is there any third party backup application installed? Try to uninstall it to see the result. And please also check if there is another backup schedule which causes the conflict.
Meanwhile please provide the result of:
vssadmin list providers
vssadmin list writers

I do have Crashplan ProE running. It started at 1900 and the Windows Backup starts at 2000. I have modified Crashplan not to start until 2300 to see if that helps.

I see you are experiencing issues with sound on applications when playing video/audio content. If this is the case, the first thing I would check is if the side switch is set to silent as this can cause applications to be mute. Below I have included an article that covers adjusting the settings for the side switch. Also, make sure to close all applications in Multitasking and power cycle the device. Test the sound issue after processing these steps.

It's very random, but consistent enough to happen several times per day.

Well there you go, when you advertise it just be sure to say that you can't even see the scratches at half brightness and see how it goes.
Of course you are saying you want $500 for one with many scratches on the screen, has been dropped, but the scratches aren't visible at half brightness, and has no warranty. I have a 2013 mac pro and the volume keys aren't changing the volume of my LED display. The icon shows up as going up or down but the volume seems to not adjust.

I've had this computer since october of 2013 or so and I have just recently run into this problem. I use the volume keys on the keyboard and I hear the tick sounds and it shows that its going up and down but the volume doesn't actually change. I've looked in the "sound" settings and everythings seems to be correct... I can't adjust the sound in their either though. I pay too much to be having an issue like this.

In my house, I would suspect that either one of our pets chewed on a cable or dislodged a connector, or somebody bumped a connection loose, but then I would expect either no volume at all or hum from a grounding problem. Clear, non-zero constant volume is harder to explain.
You say adjusting the output volume directly in the Sound settings or on the menu bar also has no effect on the audible output?
You might want to go ahead and answer the question about connections. Somebody else might come along who recognizes a possible problem with the particular combination you are using. I don't have exactly your model of Mac Pro or display. (Is yours the Apple LED Cinema Display? Which size?)

even if you wipe the drive LoJack is still there, it's installed in a hidden partition so you would have get rid of the entire OS. I caught a glimpse of the culprit and from what I seen he is more of a low life than a computer nerd. It is possible he could have tried to log-in but didn't notice the guest and admin account. While I see what you're saying I still have some hope, from what I've read online it took people more than a day to see that their laptop had gone online. If it can't get replaced LoJack has a $1,000 guarantee but that still doesn't make up for the $3,000 worth of equipment lost.

When I make an outgoing call the recipient cannot hear as though the volume were turned down Lowe. However when I use my speaker phone function the recipient can hear at normal volume. Is there a fix for this issue? Thanks Teresa

The volume keys on my MacBook Pro stop working after using headphones.

The volume keys on my MacBook Pro recently stopped controling the volume after I've used headphones. I still have sound; I just can't make the volume increase or decrease. The mute, however, still works just fine. Because I have sound from the intenral speakers I know the computer doesn't think the headphones are still in the jack. A reboot fixes the problem, but as soon as I use headphones the problem starts up again. I want to fix this permanently.
I don't know if this helps but all the other keys (brightness, play/pause, etc) still work. I recently had to reset the PRAM because my computer refused to sleep when the lid was shut. I've checked system preferences and everything seems to be in order.
Can someone please help!?

I found this advice on another thread after encountering the same problem - I did the reboot and it worked fine and dandy!
I spoke with Applecare to fix my Macbook volume. Apparently there are pins inside the speaker/headphone jack that can get jammed. We fixed mine by doing some sort of reboot:
Turn off laptop.
Hold down the Option, Command, P, and R keys (all four at once, it's tricky!) and while holding down the four keys, turn on the computer. When you hear the second chime, release the four keys.
This re-set the sound toggle to internal speakers. Now I'm afraid to insert headphones again, but I assume this reboot will work over and over.

My iphone 4S doesn't show the volume controls when playing videos and the speakers don't sound. But if I plug in the earphones then I can hear fine and the volume controls appear on screen. Please someone help.

After a week or so of installing IOS 7 now I having this problem, the speakers don't work for videos, music or apps sounds, but they work fine for using the speaker phone. It's definitely some software issue as the volume control appears when i plug in the earphones, but disappears when unplugging them, same happens with the volume buttons on the side, they don't work when trying to use the speakers, but the work when using the earphones. Please help if you have a workaround for this. I don't want to carry my earphones all the time to listen to videos and music.

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack or other hardware problem.

The volume control icon has disappered from the task bar.

A few days ago I turned on my pc and found the volume control icon that is normally showing on the bottom task bar, had dissappeared? I have explored every option (hidden icons etc.) but the icon does not exist anywhere. Can you help?
