Is it possible to maintain a common Task list in a Site?

Hi All,
I have a site call HR ePortal with more than 1 SharePoint-Hosted Apps. These apps having list and workflow. Can I maintain a Common Task List in HR ePortal Site for all Apps? If this is possible where I have to maintain the each Apps List, inside the
Apps solution or should create each Apps list in the site. 
If I maintain the Task List in site , is it possible to create workflow with that Task List using visual studio 2012?

HI,
Yes, you can maintain common task list for apps and it is better to put the apps list in the site and you can access these easily from the app code.
Regarding workflow, yes you can create workflows using visual studio with the common task list.

  • Maintain a common email list at one place  for all the process chains

    Hello BW Gurus,
    I have built a process chain and listed the email ids and pager numbers to be notified should an error occur.
    But I need to provide the same list for other process chains( around 15) and to avoid me adding the same id's and pager numbers in all the process chains....is there a table/group that I can maintain and use that group in all the process chains?

    welcome to SDN ...
    try to maintain/change the distribution list by clicking on the search option for a name, then searching for the required distribution list. double click it and in next screen(display mode), switch to edit mode and add/remove the recipents there.

    Can it be possible to create a general maintenance task list without maintenance planning plant & which can be used for all plants in same client?
    This is required to reduce the common task list data per plant existing in the system.

    maintenance Planning plant & Work Centres may differ according to the Centralised & decentralised maintenance.
    Hence not only maintenance planning plant but alos work centres may also needs to changed.
    Logically each work centres planned activity cost may differ so if u create a common task list it will not serve the purpose too.

  • Inconsistency with maintenance cycle and task list phases in ChaRM

    Hi Experts,
    I'm deploying ChaRM with SolMan 4.0 SP09.
    I was testing a scenario where there are more than one maintenance project open for same landscape (different logical components but values are the same). I have been using maintenance cycle document (in crmd_order) to control phase changes both in task list and in maintenance cycle.
    I received an error message stating that the system has reset the status of the maintenance cycle and the end result was that task list phase is one step ahead of the maintenance cycle. This of course causes the situation where certain actions are no longer possible (maintenance cycle in Dev with release but task list already in test => release and import are not possible and reseting phase with task list is prevented by ChaRM).
    My question is how do I restore the inconsistency. I have looked for notes (but of course this is not a notes issue) and the internet for solution.
    I am very greatful for any hints you may give me!

  • Extend task list for new planning plant

    Hi Gurus,
    I have 40 task lists for a planning plant 1000. I want to extend them for a new planning plant 2000. Is there any method to do it without usnig BDC or LSMW?

    Hello VM,
    No it is not possible to simply extend the Task list.
    You can copy the same for different planning plant. But if it is not so much necessary, Make other as Maintenance Plant rather than Planning plant.

  • General Task List- Query Log Out Tag Out

    Hello,
    We are uploading new Gereneral Task List. Some task required Log Out Tag Outs for a prcedure:
    For example: 1) Schedule  with operations 2) Flush unit 3) Lock out tag out procedures 4) Pull unit and clean propeller.
    For reporting purpose we want to identify all the Task List that require LogOut TagOuts. Is there a way to query those items.

    Create Different Control Key " LOTO" going to Spro - PMCS - Maint & Service Orders - Function & Settings of Order types - Control Key - Maintain Control Key - Create New Entries , Create New One With Name" LOTO" , Assign Parameters( tick sheduling if needed )or Keep Every thing Blank , Save it
    Now in Creation of Task list , For Lock out & tag out Operation , Maintain this Control Key "LOTO " & rest is same.
    Use IW37 or IW37N , with Control key Entered in Order to monitor the Order , Operation with this LOTO Control Key,
    I think this solves ur problem , there is already a default Control Key "WCM" in Ideas , which Activates Work Clearance Application you can check it.

    you Can maintain System Condition Manually in Order Operations when you get Maintenance Order from Plan , You Cannot  maintain this in Task list individual Operation.

  • Set up of Task list across the plants

    Hello,
    I need to set up the task lists for 9 different plants. Essentially they are the same TL but used in different plants. I am looking for the best approach to set them up.
    Can we maintain a master task list at high level with central planning plant (without a counter) and then assign the same task list to different plants using group counters ? Whenever I am trying to use TL group counter, I have to set up a neww task list completely, this will result into maintaning 9 different task lists even when they are same. Also how do I set it up for a central plant without using counter ??

  • Define own no ranges for Boms & Routings(task list type)

    hello all,
    I need to confirm if we can have seperate no ranges for materials Boms or routings on the same client?
    I think we can assign a new Bom no range but can't have different no ranges for different material boms on the same system. Moreover, using CS90 we can only define the internal no range for material boms?
    For task list we can define external no ranges but this gets assigned to the task list types. Is it possible to define our own task list type? I don't think so, but not a 100% sure.
    Pls can somebody confirm this for me.

    what you mentioned is correct there is no option of creating the task list types and also of youcan have external number ranges for BOMs check t-code SNUM with object STUE.

  • How do you copy/move the ASU Toolbox task list from one system to another

    We are upgrading from 3.5 to 7.01 and have maintained the the task list in /n/asu/upgrade in our sandbox.   I would like to be able to move the task list to our other systems so I don't have to reenter the tasks again.  I know the base tasks are in an xml file but I don't know which one.  
    Does anyone know how to move/copy the tasks from one system to another?

    I agree with Antonio, but since we don't know if the Mail app on the Mini is the same version as the one on your new iMac, I'd err on the side of caution and allow Mail on the new iMac to set up; additionally, I'd prefer to start with a new preference file. In order to make it easier, you could take screenshots of all the account windows on the Mini. You can then use those to enter the info when setting up Mail on the new iMac.
    After Mail is set up, quit Mail. Go to the location outlined by Antonio (Users-Library-Mail) and compare the folders with the folders from the old Mail app; i.e. the new Inbox folder should be empty -> remove that (drag to trash) and replace it with your old Inbox folder (same with Sent, etc). If you have old folders not found in the new location, add them.
    When done, open Mail and your folders and emails should all be there.

    members" it just creates a task is specific Site and moves

    I tried to
    find if Projects and Check box are columns of Task list , but did not find any
    columns.<o:p></o:p>
    I am trying
    to create a event receiver which would make these columns be set to Site Name
    and check box checked so that when user creates a task it will directly move to
    Custom Task list.<o:p></o:p>

    Thank you for your responce. I used a content query wp to rollup only the Major Milestones, but am unable to overlay the results to a calendar.. The link you provided is for overlaying different task lists onto a calendar, but does not detail how to
    overlay the results from the content query onto a calendar.

  • Unable to sync with SharePoint task list

    Unable to sync with SharePoint task list
     The SharePoint site is invalid - I can hit the site just fine through IE
    - The SharePoint site is unavailable. Not so since I can naviagte to it just fine with IE
    - The user does not have full or design permissions in the SharePoint site -- My permission level is "Full Control"
    All inside a corporate Lan.  This is a first time setup? Any ideas?

  • Assigned To column (or any column that uses People Picker) cleared after clicking Edit Item in a Task List

    Our SharePoint Foundation 2013 is experiencing a weird issue. It only happens in Task Lists. For example:
    Create a new Task in Task List and fill the Assigned To field with a user from the People Picker list. The People Picker works fine as all users in Active Directory are appearing.
    Save Task.
    Edit Item the task that was just created.
    The Assigned To field is now cleared for that Task.
    It used to keep the user that was in the Assigned To column.
    Are there any suggestions on what may have caused this or what I can try to fix this?
    This was after some Windows updates were installed end of August.

    According to your post, my understanding is that the “Assigned To” field is cleared when you edit a task item in the Tasks List.
    I recommend that you can enable server rendering on the list view Web Part for the Tasks List to solve this issue.
    To do this, please follow the steps as below:
    Open the Tasks List in your site, add a new task item, type the user name in the “Assign To” field and save it.
    Select the new item, click “Edit item”, then go to the Gear icon, click “Edit page”, click the drop-down arrow in the upper-right corner of the Web Part for the Tasks List, and click “Edit Web Part”.
    On the right side of the page in the Web Part properties controls, click the plus sign (+) on the “Miscellaneous” section, select the “Server Render” in the “CSS Render Mode” section, then click “Apply”, “OK” and save the changes of the page.
    Then, you can see if the “Assign To” field in the new item’s Edit Form has the corresponding values.

  • Performing some common tasks with LR is just... a joke

    I'm a big fan of Lightroom, I use it as my main workflow application, I even wrote detailled reviews on some european websites, etc...
    But I can't get some of its basic features. Using LR as an image viewer and e-mailing is really a joke.
    Preparing and converting 10 CR2 files to 1024 x 768 @ 90 % quality for e-mail takes about 2 - 2 1/2 minutes on my machine.
    Doing the same thing ( plus adding frame and shadow ! ) with Faststone Viewer - which is free - takes exactly 10 seconds, yes, 10 seconds on the same machine.
    Don't get me wrong, LR is probably the best thing released for photographers since a while but, for some parts of it, I just don't get it.
    I wish I could perform basic & common tasks within Lightroom, which is simply not possible.

    Yes, I know that LR has to render pictures and Faststone uses only embedded previews from raw file. But I think most of you didn't get what I try to explain. Let's start again :
    - Faststone is very fast at preparing attachments for e-mails, from ANY type of image files ( raw, TIFF, JPEG, whatever ).
    - Faststone does the same with edited images, quick and easy ( so the comments about the embedded raw files which helps Faststone to create quick attachments have no value, not at all ).
    - Faststone resizes on the fly, including batch images, and has a scroll menu to select standard sizes ( 1024 x 768, 800 x 600, etc... ).
    - Faststone always let you know the dimensions AND the size of the output file. With Lightroom, while using the JPEG compression slider, you have to guess the file size and expect it not to be too heavy.
    - Faststone knows your default email client. Lightroom doesn't.Lightroom requires to put shortcuts in folders, bla-bla-bla... or to install an extra program - GREAT.
    Why are those common sense stuff and functions not part of Lightroom ? Having to guess the output size of my jpeg files just goes beyond me. In my company, the max attachment size is 5 MB. With faststone, I can easily control that. With Lightroom, not at all.I guess that, in 2007, emailing is still a major communication system.
    Now coming back to thumbnails viewing : I want to have the same speed and ease of use as BreezeBrowser of Faststone. Period.

    example
    1) ZTAB01 - CU-Data
    2) ZTAB01T - texts to CU-Data
    3) ZTAB01_V - maint.-view of 1) and 2)
