Is it possible to make ALL browsers open at a certain width?

I'm almost finished designing my first (mostly CSS Based) web site home page and I ran into a problem while trying to certify the websites using different browsers. On all the web page comes up fine (although I haven't test IE 6 and up as I'm on a Mac). Is it possible to make my complete web page display in the window of all the various browsers without having to manually resize them or atleast define the size of my web page for the browsers?

Never ever presume that your web page must take up my entire screen. That's considered rude. My browser settings and preferences are my choice; not yours.
If you want to design web pages that fill the end-user's available viewport without scrollbars, use a liquid or semi-liquid layout in percentages.

Alternatively, you can use multiple style sheets & progressive enhancement techniques (media queries) to target specific devices by their width. This is how modern developers are able to support different layouts for smartphones, tablets and desktops.

I'm not sure if we will implement this. Sharing all the tabs you have open have many more security and privacy issues. Someone forgets that they had a tab open they did not want to share or miss-clicks on the share all option.
We are looking into better ways to share tabs with devices that are nearby. Especially if they are on the same WiFi network.

How do I make all links open in a new window?

I have some RSS feeds on my website. If you click one of their headlines it takes you to that source to read the story. Is there a way to make all hyper links on a webpage open in a new window? Most people know how to use their browsers BACK button to return to a site. Or better yet, right click on links to open them inside new tabs or windows. This should almost always be a user's decision and not a web designer's decision.
If you have all links open in new windows/tabs, In no time at all, user's browser will be stuffed with them which is ugly and can diminish browser performance.
If you need to open a new window on SELECT links, use the Behaviors Panel, press the Plus sign (+) and select Open Browser Window. Repeat this for all links you want opened in new windows.

How do you make all bookmarks open in safari when launched?

Hello Apple community! New mac user here. I really want to know how to automatically have all bookmarks opened after launching safari. Thanks so much!

There is no way to open "all" bookmarks at launch
But you can open a group of them at launch as tabs.
Click the Book icon in the Bookmarks Bar.
Click Bookmarks Bar in the side bar
At the bottom left of the right side pane there is + sign. Click on it.
A new folder will be created. Name it.
Checkmark the box under the column "Auto-Click".
The new folder will appear in the Bookmarks Bar
Add your favorites to it.
Click "Add Bookmark" in the Safari toolbar and select the new folder.
When you launch Safari, items in that folder will appear as tabs when you
click on that folder in the Bookmarks Bar.

Is it possible to make all automation data quieter in one go?

I have a song with about 50 tracks on it and it have mixed it too loud. I'm happy with the the levels and the mix but just need to mix it at a quieter level.
However there is a substantial amount of volume automation many of the tracks. Is there anyway of reducing the whole thing or do I need to reduce each track individually and effectively re-mix the track?
Any help greatly appreciated.

Sure, just use the Basic Motion > Point At behavior and make the camera the target. You'll need to tweak the settings a bit.

Make all pages the same width?

I've seen several answers to this question but they all seem to involve using an external app such as PDF Creator, Distiller, or something like that.
I have a pdf with three pages with different widths. From within Acrobat X, what is the easiest way to make all three pages the same width, or is that even possible without using an external app? If it is possible, please describe how to do this step by step.
By the way, I know there are steps that can be taken to avoid ending up with pdf's that have pages of varying lengths, but this question is not about that. It is about existing pdf's. Thanks a lot
I am using Adobe Acrobat X version 10.0.0.396 on Windows XP Pro SP3

Good question - I would say make all the page be the same width as the widest one. In general, these pdf's will contain 8.5" x 11" pages, sometimes in combination with legal size pages. The actual size of each page will differ depending on such things as who they came from and how they produced the pdf's, what software was used, which scanner was used, etc.
Here would be an example pdf:
The first 3 pages approximately 8.5" x 11" format. The last 2 pages are legal size. As you page throgh the document, the widths change. My usual setting as I page through a pdf is Fit Width. But in this pdf, the first two pages look right, the third page is too narrow, the fourth page looks right, and the fifth page looks too narrow. So given that, How would I make all 5 pages the same width so that as I page through the pdf, the widths are all exactly the same, and not just appear the same? If I have to choose which width they should all be, I'd say go with the widest one.
If I need to run some javascript to accomplish this, that's ok - I'll strip it out before distributing the pdf. Thanks

Adobe Reader freezes all browsers when opening a url to a PDF containing form fields...

There is an issue we are currently experienceing with Adobe Acrobat 9 (updated to the latest version) where ALL BROWSERS (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Safari) on each of two different systems (a MacBook Pro with Mac OSX Leopard and a Sony Vaio Laptop with Windows Vista) where the application will freeze up and crash the browser when we view a .pdf file from a url if the .pdf file iteself contains form fields.
At first I though it may have been specific to Mac OSX and this MacBook we were trying to view the document on, but the same issue is now occuring with a new Sony Vaio laptop (running Windows Vista) as well.
It seems like it is able to open .pdf documents containing form fields when they are stored locally, but when trying to access them via a url, the program will freeze up. Sometimes it will eventually work if you had previously opened a .pdf prior to opening it via the url link and sometimes it doesn't. And it seems to only be related to .pdfs containing fillable form fields (others open fine when accessing them by a url)
Obviously it's become quite irratating and I'm hopeing I can find some insight on this support forum as to what may be causing this issue.
Previous versions of Acrobat (installed on the MacBook) opened this very same .pdf file (url) fine before upgrading to version 9.

Problem opening a particular PDF document in ALL browsers

I have a problem a PDF document in all browsers.
I have a mail order account online and I am trying to open one of my statements by clicking on the PDF logo.
A new window opens and is either blank or tells me it cannot load (depending which browser used). When the new window opens the address in the browser is an IP address / name of the company / document number.PDF
I have contacted the company but they tell me to either download the latest Adobe Reader (which I have), and try a different browser (which I have).
I have tried changing settings in all browsers as per instructions found on other sites, and I can open PDF docs from other sites and my pc no problem. This tells me that the problem lies with the company, yet they cannot seem to resolve.
Does anyone have any ideas or can shed light on this puzzling problem?

I came up with an alternative solution.
Instead of actually trying to move the JInternalFrame from one JDesktopPane to another, I added a single, maximized JInternalFrame to the left side. When one of the right side frames is to be docked, I merely copy its ContentPane to the single JInternalFrame on the left, set the original to be non-visible, and adjust the properties of the JSplitPane to make the "docked" frame appear.
When the "close" button on the docked frame is pressed, I simply undo this procedure to "undock" the frame and redisplay it on the right-hand side (with its content intact from the docked frame, but in its original position).

ASk in the DW firum and be much more specific. Web page rendering issues are specific to specific versions of browsers and you may simply be using some bad code that messes up your page.

Make all open finder windows come to the front?

Things that used to be so simple on the Mac are now so complicated.
I have a bunch of finder windows open. Most of them are hidden behind other application windows, like my browser.
I used to be able to click anywhere on the desktop to make all windows come to the front. No longer. Later, I could do it by mousing all the way over to the Dock and clicking on the Finder icon there. Now even that doesn't work!
How the heck do you simply make all open finder windows come to the front???

When DU reports errors it cannot repair, you turn to one or the other of these two. Many Mac users like Disk Warrior for it excellent work in repairing and rebuilding directories. I use TTP because it not only does excellent work with directories, but it also does hardware checks, disk optimization, files checks, eDrive (emergency boot drive) etc. In the long run, though, it is largely a matter of personal preference.

I mentioned in my earlier post that if the problem is essentially with one application you can go into Home Folder > Library > Preferences, find the .plis for that application, drag it to the desktop and restart. Check to see if that makes a difference. If it doesn't you can replace the new .plist created with the one on the desktop, or just drag the desktop copy to the Trash.
In your situation I would run Repair Disk from the install CD, then implement some of the suggestions on maintenance.
One other thing to note: a too full HDD can cause problems. If it is over 50% full it could need disk optimization. If have near 85% of available capacity used, you are running a risk not only of compromised performance, but also of directory overlapping and, eventually of a crash.

I have added some iViews to two folders and add these two folders to a workset "Time" and then add "Time" to the role of Employee portal user.
How to make all nodes expanded automatically when this workset is clicked in EP??

Not surprising...it does not work even if you follow the exact way...
Role ->
         Workset 1
                      -> Page 1
                      -> Workset 2
                                       -> Page 2
                      -> Workset 3
                                       -> Page 3
When the user clicks on Role which is the Entry Point, I want the user to see Page1 (works alright) and want the tree node Workset 2 open (doesn't work)...I want tree node Workset 3 closed (which is what happens...)
The thing is Workset 2 has to be open...
This is what I've done...I've made the Initial State of Navigation Panel set to "Open"...
What else is to be done????
