I am getting the error "We're sorry we cannot complete your request on the iTunes store at this time. Please try again later." on both my iPhone and iTunes on my computer. What is wrong with iTunes? Is the server down or what? I need to download some things and update some apps...
I've been getting the same message for like an hour now. Since everything was working fine a few hours ago, and nothing changed on my end before it stopped working, I'm guessing it's something on Apple's end. They probably already know about it by now, and are hopefully working on fixing it, so there's probably not much we can do but wait for them to fix it.

We're sorry, we cannot complete your request on the iTunes store at this time.
"We're sorry, we cannot complete your request on the iTunes store at this time." http://img809.imageshack.us/img809/7452/screenshot20110601at608.png <- what gives? One moment I'm downloading an iTunes movie rental and a bunch of music, the next second every completed download, attempted new purcase, and trying to start playing the partially downloaded movie resulted in this error.
I paused the downloads and restarted iTunes. Downloads and Rentals were gone in the sidebar and every single secure request to the iTunes store (trying to login, trying to check for available downloads, trying to buy anything else) results in this error. However the music that had sucessfully downloaded was present in my iTunes library. However nothing new shows in my 'Recently Added' playlist... weird.
I then tried restarting my router, ADSL modem, and my Mac. No good. I tried a different OSX user account. No good. I tried logging into the UK store (I'm usually in the NZ one) where I also have an account - no good, same error.
iTunes store pages load, but anything secure results in this error :-(
What has happened? One second all is well, the next all secure iTunes connections result in "We're sorry, we cannot complete your request on the iTunes store at this time."I always try to download movies and TV shows in advance, although this is the first time in quite a while that I've had problems with it on Apple's end -- normally I'm just worried about my internet flaking out, which was happening pretty regularly for a while, or just slowing down way too much and taking hours to download anything. It's a good approach when you can manage it as it eliminates the risk of this sort of thing messing up your whole night. If you still have enough movie night left tonight though, you could try renting something from Amazon. It's streaming rather than download, so it's vulnerable to inconsistencies in internet speed, and it tends not to be as good quality as iTunes video (at least in my experience), but at least you might still be able to get a movie in tonight.

I have been trying to purchase stuff for my iPad all evening, and it isn't working. Is the iTunes store down?
You know what would be nice... a website from apple to tell us these things. There is NOTHING wrong with admitting you are having technical issues, but to leave us blind with no phone tech support and customer service tells you they cant help and here is the best one... Customer Service does not allow their employees to have a test iphone for things. Sorry but after 2 hours of this I am a little ****** off. FML

I just got a new computer and I am haveing trouble loging on to I tunes I keep getting error code 9808 is the itune store down?
Check out this Apple document -> iTunes Store: "An unknown error occured (-9808)"
You'll probably have to make sure the date and time is correct on your computer. -
I have now downloaded all of my CD's to my itunes library and have since only purchased new music using itunes Store. This itunes library is stored on an old Dell Desktop that I am getting ready to replace with an iMac; how can I move the music? 86GB
Is the music I downloaded from my CD's already in the iCloud or only the music I purchased on itunes? This might help: http://www.macworld.com/article/1146958/move_itunes_windows_mac.html.

I tried to install iTunes 10.5 this morning but an error appeared saying "problem with windows installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run." Can someone please help
Firstly, are you installing iTunes for the first time or are you updating your current version of iTunes?
If you're installing iTunes for the first time have you tried redownloading the installer package? Perhaps the file you downloaded originally is corrupted...
http://www.apple.com/itunes/
If you've tried that, then try installing iTunes as your computer's administrator. To do this right-click the install package and choose "Run as administrator".
If you're updating iTunes to the most recent version try repairing the Apple Software Update program on your computer. It's under the add/remove programs.
1. Open the control panel
2. Open Add/Remove programs (called "Programs and Features" in Windows 7)
3. Navigate to "Apple Software Update" in the list and click on it
4. Click on "Change" then select "Repair" (or just select the repair option in Windows 7)
Once you repair this, try running iTunes and the update again.
Fingers crossed! -
Can't access the iTunes Store, is this a problem only I have?

My computer had to be shut down this morning when I could move my mouse around but it would not respond when I double clicked on an item to select. Now I cannot open a file in my finder window by double clicking on it. Any suggestions?
Did you reinstall CS3 after CC?
For that matter, doing an in-place upgrade on the OS is always a gamble with Adobe programs. Reinstalling all the versions you need, in order, would probably solve your problem.
And you shouldn't need to save as IDML after opening the .inx in CC. -
I was just wondering if anyone else was having problems connecting to the iTunes store today (March 19th 2012)... I can't connect on my mac, pc or iPhone. I just keep getting the "We're sorry, we cannot complete your request on the iTunes Store at this time" error. BTW I'm in Toronto Canada, Not sure if it might just be a reigonal problem. Let me know peeps!
Chris WilczewskiI'm in the US, and I'm having trouble, too. I either can't sign in, or it just gets stuck on "Accessing iTunes Store".
