Hi All,
May be an XML Expert can help me in understanding this XML Exception.
I am trying to expose a EJB as webservice using AXIS 1.2 Final. When
deployed my ear/ejb on WAS 4.0 on HP-UX operation system and trying
to consume the web service using AXIS 1.2 generated stubs I am getting below error on the server side.

Can anyone please suggest under what cases we get this error.
When I monitor the request soap message using AXIS handlers, the soap
message seems to be valid and well-formed. The EJB deployment on WAS
4.0 is successfully and it can be successfully accessed by a ejb
client :
Thanks & Regards,
bab.

I am having similar problem. Did you find the solution for this
thanks

  • Infopath 2013 SOAP Web Service Data Connection - Error: The file is not a valid XML file

    Here are the steps to replicate the issue I’m having when adding lists.asmx or any other SharePoint web service in InfoPath 2013. This web service opens fine in the browser from my desktop. My account is a farm administrator and is added to the
    web application’s User Policy.  I can use these services just fine using Nintex 2013 Workflow.
    Open InfoPath Designer 2013.
    Select Blank Form and click Design Form button.
    Click “Data” tab.
    Click “From Web Service” and select “From SOAP Web Service”
    Enter https://mysiteurl.com/_vti_bin/lists.asmx?WSDL for the web service definition.
    Click Next.
    Windows Security window pops up.
    Enter a credential. I tried both my account and the farm account. My account is a farm admin and is added to the web application’s User Policy with Full Control.
    Click OK. It prompts for credential multiple times.
    I get below this error messages:
    Sorry, we couldn't open https://mysiteurl.com/_vti_bin/lists.asmx?WSDL
    InfoPath cannot find or cannot access the specified Web Service description.
    The file is not a valid XML file.
    Not enough storage is available to process this command.
    We have a project that is in need of these services using InfoPath so any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Brian_TX,
    For your issue, try to the following methods:
    Change your service binding in web.config to:binding="basicHttpBinding". It seems in VS it defaults to wsHttpBinding.
    Replace all instances of "parameters" from the web service wsdl with the name "parameter"
    There are some similar articles about the issue, you can have a look at them:

  • ITunes not writing valid XML file

    I've been having trouble with my iTunes library being seen by anything other than itunes (iPhoto, iLike etc) and the problem is with the XML file. If i try to open the xml file in BBEdit i get an error that says:
    *Incorrectly formed UTF-8*
    The UTF-8 File "iTunes Music Library.xml" is damaged or
    incorrectly formed; please proceed with caution.
    So I dump it and force iTunes to create a fresh copy, but that has the same problems.
    If I put an old copy of the XML file (from a few months back) into the iTunes folder, then all the other iApps can see an iTunes library and interact with it, but as soon as iTunes updates the file it becomes unusable again.
    The XML file is 30.5MB.
    Does anyone have even the slightest idea why iTunes is producing an unusable XML file all the time? Could it be something to do with the size of the file? Or could it be something that's appeared in my library over the past few months that's messing up the xml file?
    Any and all comments/suggestion would be greatly appreciated as i'm running out of hair to pull out

    Ok, I ran the rest through my parser, and there is (only) one other broken spot. It's on "Donde Liesta Usc (La Boheme)" Also the file location tag. (Shown as "where" in the summary tab of the info window in iTunes.) Deleting and re-adding this track as well as "Need You Tonight" should cause iTunes to correct those location tags and completely solve the problem by eliminating the character encodings that are illegal for utf-8. Both tracks should then also become playable again.

    Hi,
    Your error message are not displaying because u does not made Message-Resoucrce property file (Resource Bundle) when you make it .
    give it entry in
    struts-config.xml
    <message-resources parameter="ApplicationResources" />
    and
    define key and corresponding error message to key in this ApplicationResources i.e
    #Error Resources
    label.search.ssNum=Plz Enter correct ssNum

  • XML Publisher question - Not generating a valid XML file

    I am working through an Oracle document that walks you through creating an XML Pub report. I am using HCM 8.9, Tools 8.49.15 and it has XML Pub installed and I have the Microsoft plug-in installed
    I have created a query and have downloaded an rtf template and now am on a page where you enter your data source and then click ‘Generate’ for the sample data file. I did it and it created ‘PERSONAL_DATA_PAY.XML’ which is created from a PS Query. However if I click on ‘PERSONAL_DATA_PAY.XML’ it generates a blocky text file that is not an XML file and I can’t go any further.
    Do you know why it’s not generating a valid XML file when I click on 'generate'?
    Thanks

    You mean to say that you create a new data source by specifying Data Source Type as 'PS Query' and Data Source ID as your query name, you are not able to generate a valid XML file (by clicking on Generate link).
    did you cross check your query by running it?
    On field change of Generate link, PeopleSoft uses PSXP_RPTDEFNMANAGER and PSXP_XMLGEN app packagaes and query objects to create the file
    It should work if you query is valid..

    I am running into an error in my trace portion of my XML when executing my application. The error is  "HTTP response does not contain a valid XML root tag". The HTTP request is successful with message 200 so it seems to be accepted by the Integration Engine. I looked for other posts on this error and only found one and it didn't show the resolution. Check these notes (do you use a split mapping?):

    While upgrading or uninstalling a Windows software application (such as iTunes for Windows or QuickTime for Windows), you may receive one of the following error messages:
    file name is not a valid short file name
    The folder path 'folder name' contains an invalid character.
    ... where file name could be the name of any file, and folder name could be the name of any folder.
    In the case of software that uses advertised shortcuts (such as recent versions of iTunes for Windows or Safari for Windows), the messages may also appear when attempting to launch software that has already been installed.
    Resolution
    The error messages are usually caused by damage to the installation database for the application. Clearing the installation database for the application by using the Windows Installer CleanUp utility can usually get you past the error message.
    (1) Click [here|http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301] first, and read the important information about the utility.
    (2) Click the *Download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility package now* link on that page to download a file titled msicuu2.exe.
    (3) Open the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install it.
    (4) In your Start menu click *All Programs* and then click *Windows Install Clean Up.* The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (5) Select the software you're getting the "not a valid short file name" or "invalid character" message for from the list and click Remove.
    (6) Click OK in the confirmation dialog that appears.
    (7) If you have multiple entries for the software you're getting the "not a valid short file name" or "invalid character" message for, repeat steps 5 and 6 for the other entries for the software.
    (8) Click Exit.
    (9) Restart the computer.
    If you were getting the "not a valid short file name" or "invalid character" message when trying to upgrade or launch software, now try reinstalling the latest version of the software.
    If you were getting the "not a valid short file name" or "invalid character" message when just trying to uninstall software, program files for the software in question will remain on the PC after it has been removed by the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. If you want to remove leftover program files, check in at the appropriate forum at [Apple Discussions|http://discussions.apple.com/index.jspa?categoryID=1] and ask which files can be safely removed.

    Go to Microsoft website to fix installer file problems.
    Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:
    http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
    Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.

  • Unable to load the package as XML because of package does not have a valid XML format

    I have SSIS package and I would like to let SQL Server Agent Job to run it.
    However I get Unable to load the package as XML because of package does not have a valid XML format
    What could be wrong?
    Kenny_I

    Hi Kenny,
    What's the version of your SSIS? Please refer to the following methods to solve this issue:
    Hard code the path of SQL Server 2008's DTEXEC while calling the SSIS package as shown below:
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\DTS\Binn\DTEXEC.exe /F "D:\MyFolder\MyPackage.dtsx"
    Rename the old exe in the 2005 path to a different name (Example:- C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\DTS\Binn\DTEXEC_Old.exe)
    Go to PATH environmental variable and edit it in such a way that "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\DTS\Binn" path appears well before the "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\DTS\Binn" path.
    For more detail information, please refer to the blog below:
    Failed to open package file due to error 0x80070020. The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. This happens when loading a package and the file cannot be opened or loaded correctly into the XML document:

  • Validator.xml not working

    hi
    I am using the struts framework1.1.I have developed a login page with username and password.i want to write a validator.xml for it in accordance with validator-rules.xml as defined by struts1.1.and i have a welcome page that i want to direct this login page to if all validations are successful i.e the username should not be blank or password should not contain any invalid or special characters.please help me out with the code with the actionform and avtion classes alongwith validator.xml.i require it urgently .
    thanks in advance.

    Struts 1.1 comes with default validators. There are some contained into validation-rules.xml. The first validator is called "required" which you can use to validate your username field for example. Implementing Struts validation is done in several steps.
    1. Add
    <plug-in className="org.apache.struts.validator.ValidatorPlugIn">
    <set-property property="pathnames" value="/WEB-INF/validator-rules.xml, /WEB-INF/validation.xml"/>
    </plug-in>
    into your struts-config.xml file. This will point to your validation files.
    2. Create a validation.xml file
    add the elements you need,
    <form-validation>
    <formset>
    <form name="MembreForm">
    <field property="login"
         depends="required">
         <arg0 key="MembreForm.login.displayname"/>
    </field>
    ... more lines
    - depends attribute points to validator name in validation-rules.xml
    - arg0 attribute points to your ApplicationResources.properties (fill that file with appropriate resources)
    3. Create your Form beans so they extend ValidatorForm
    ex : public class userForm extends ValidatorForm {
    4. Create your JSP + Struts HTML and Logic tags (to render errors) pointing to your action classes and test.
    Validation.xml will link form beans, rules and errors messages.
    I think that's it. Validation-rules.xml doesn't have everything, if you need to make a database access validator, then you would have to create a helper class and declare it's method into the validation-rules.xml.
    Hope that helps.

    It would help if you could give us more details...
    What type of soa webservices are we talking about here (JAX-RPC/BPEL/OSB)?
    And how exactly are you testing your soa webservices in a browser (EM)?
    A valid SOAP will have content-type: text/xml
    You may be pointing to a invalid endpoint or you may have an authentication/authorisation problem, so you are receiving html instead of soap...

  • UIX outputs HTML that is not valid XML

    Greetings,
    I am "experimenting" with UIX in Devloper 9i and I have noticed that the HTML that is output is very far from being valid XML, as a matter of fact it is so far off that Tidy can't even clean it up.
    Are theere any plans in place to try to make the output be XHTML instead of "sloppy" html? This would have a number of benefits, one wich would be; One could percivably call an uix page into a xsql page.
    Kind Regards
    Ola Kvalvaag

    The architecture of UIX is actually very well optimized to switch
    between XHTML and HTML, as all output is pipelined through an
    OutputMethod interface that abstracts away the difference between
    the two. I believe our HTML is output is extremely well-formed
    HTML, which isn't the same thing as well-formed XHTML. We quote
    all our attributes, we close all elements that must be closed,
    we escape characters that need escaping, etc.
    Until this message, I guess we haven't had any complaints!
    I've yet to see a browser that prefers XHTML to HTML.
    What are you trying to do with the output that requires it to be
    XHTML?

  • Web Dynpro Import Web Service Model - not a valid NCName

    Hi people,
    We are having a problem while importing a WSDL as an Adaptive Web Service Model in Web Dynpro (CE 7.2 SP03).
    The error is the following:
    "Definition of qualified base /schema/element[5]/complexType/sequence/element[4] is not correct. The value of property is not a valid NCName."
    We tried importing the same WSDL in other tools (XML Spy and SOAP UI). With these tools it could be read without errors and were able to successfully call the service.
    The point is, why the import fails in Web Dynpro if the WSDL can be read in other tools ? Can we do something in WD to import the WSDL that is supposed to be "not correct" ?
    Thanks in advance for your comments,
    Daniel

    Hi Pranav,
    I was facing this issue sometime back and i figured out that the ABAP proxy namespace in my case had a '/' in it, because of which the internal name of the service had a '/' character too.
    And this was unacceptable for the endpoint binding name in my case.
    Since it is occuring for you in case of the service name (i figured it out from attribute definations/services@name), check if the proxy name have a special character like '/'.
    Regards,
    Vivek
