we have already this many solutions like erp,crp,srm,scm,plm.
these are all business solutions. but what is this industry solution again? like is-oil,is-media etc.
plz help me

SAP Provides Some solution like SRM,ERP,CRM,SCM and PLM.
All industry has some different requirement like IS-OIL where you need to capture volume of product which is function of temperature and pressure and this is unique need of this sector.So for this unique need SAP is provide some industry specific solution like IS-OIL which run on standard ERP solution as satellite solution.They have integration with core SAP module like MM ,SD and FI solution.I can say that they overlap in functionality.
Similary for Media industry,they provide some satellite kind of solution which overllap with ERP central component (which consist of MM,SD,FI ,PP etc).
Similary Pharam industry has unique need like contract filing so SAP provide unique solution to them.

I guess you would be using Price Control V.. In that case, even a standard cost estimate wont help you

Samsung 40" 3D tv goes blank 1to 2 seconds

I purchased a new Samsung 40" 3D tv at Christmas time and the TV will go blank 1 to 2 seconds picture and audio from one to 10 times a day there is many people that say they have the same problem have tried all kinds of inputs it doesn't matter if you're using a cable box or a game station or a DVD. Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone else know how to fix it the repair shop said they do not know what to do at this time.

Assuming you've followed all of those steps, turn off the automatic shut-off under the menu options, turn off all eco solutions that shut the tv off if no signal or movement is detected, and shut off anynet; all under the menut options. Next, on your cable or satellite box turn off all the automatic shut-off options, sleep timers, etc. in the menus. Same goes for the other sources you are using, blu-ray ps3, etc. Make sure front touch panel is clean and free of dust, finger oils, etc. Lastly, make sure light is not directly shinning onto the bottom of the front touch panel and that nothing is brushing against it. Usually, these issues arise because of HDMI protocols (Samsung calls it AnyNet) which turn the tv off or on when something else is switched on or off. It is supposed to simplify things but usually confuses people more so I recomment just turning AnyNet off on the tv and blu-ray player (assuming you have a Samsung). If your cable or satellite has these protocols turn them off too. Otherwise, if the tv is on already and then you turn the sat. or cable box on, it will turn the tv off and vice versa. They must be in sync for the HDMI protocols to work correctly so I just shut them off under the menu options. Hope this helps.

How to change the billing qty directly during VF01 in AFS?

Dear experts:
Can anyone advise how we can change the billing qty directly during VF01 in AFS? Can anybody tell me why i can modify the billing qty in SAP R/3 ECC6.0, but it fail to in AFS, why?
The operation was:
1、I have to done one customising, in VOV7 for my Item category change the Billing Relevance to "K"；
2、We setting up as Delivery note related billing and would like to change the qty at the point of billing；
3、Enter the Delivery note number Do not Press Enter, Then Click on u201Cselection listu201D, however , the field of "open quantity" is in greyed out mode !
In SAP R/3 ECC6.0 ,In transaction VF01 put the Delivery note NO. and before entering or executing go to "selection list" and we will find the quantities in editable mode and we can change there and then execute billing,but in AFS,the field of "open quantity" is in greyed out mode ! I asked a lot of friends in AFS, they also have this problem!

Hi Guys,
Contrary to others IS (retail, oil etc...), AFS has been almost fully redesigned in some areas. That's why SAP releases first EHP business functions for standard and then try to enhanced the new created features later in AFS EHP.
In regards to the change of the billing quantity, from my prospective this is not supported. Quantity always comes from preceding document.
AFS is implemented in many industries like workwear, fashion high fashion, sportwear, underwear, bags etc...However I never got the same requirement to change the billing quantity.
For which reasons do you need to change the billing quantity ? Can this be done in the sales order (in case of debit/credit memo request) or in the delivery ?
The billing area has some restrictions, such as doing a pricing redetermination, in AFS it must be done in the sales order for example.
You could potentially ask SAP and see whether an advanced modification could be provided (this is chargeable).

Material without batch in subcontracting.

Hi Experts,
               In our company we have activated batch management for some materials and some materials like packaging oil etc we have not activated the batch management. Both (with & without batch)the materials going outside to subcontractor and a 57f4 nor is generating for movement type 541. We can track the materials with batch by using their batch number for its purchasing document. Kindly explain me how to track materials without batch for its purchasing document(101). Our technical consultant is writing a program for that we are not getting how to get the goods receipt number of the material without batch which is consumed at subcntractor. Tell us tables also.

Yes our requirement is different. As we know when material coming back from subcontractor with final product, we are doing subcontacting goods receipt. The components suppose x&y is consumed for making material Z. In that for material x batch is active and for material y batch in not active. The material x by its batch number i can track it (101) Goods receipt nor. But for material y how to get it (101) goods receipt nor.   Is there any tables are there that from we can get material y goods receipt number. As batch is the common thing from purchasing to comsumption of a material.

Different vendor in purchase order-material document

Hi, gurus!
We're facing this problem. Seems really weird.
We have a purchase order with a vendor (and same vendor number in the "partners" tab in ME21N), but in the subsequent material document generated through MB01 we have a different vendor and receiving vendor in "partner tab".
There's no user exit involved.
Does it make any sense?
What else could be the reason of this difference?

how do you look at your material document? in MIGO, in MB03 or in PO history tab?
Which movement type does your material document have?
Was the order creation and receipt done in the same SAP system, or was the order and the history migrated from an old system?
Are you working in a special industry solution like Retail or IS-OIL etc. ?
OSS Note 193250 clearly says : The inventory management does not work in the standard system with vendor or customer partner functions. and that you have to use USER_EXIT_KOMPBME_PARTNER if you want use them.
But you already denied that you are using exits.
Had you received many items in reference to different POs in one shot?

1. Custom Movement types
you can create custom Mtype using the existing one from OMJJ tcode. the reason to create that is based on the certain bussiness cenario e.g. if you want give the material as free smaple to your sale rep adn you want accoutn thenm separately then you can create new mivement type so you can keep the track.
2. custom Item catergories - In MM i think this is not possible.
It is possible to create if you authorization - generally not required
3. Release strategy with workflow otherthan PR approval. If Possible any document on this.
YOu can create the Rel Str for PO with wrokflow also and there many diff kind of workflow is there to use for diff purpose see the link below

Most of the project you need to create custom doc type to handle diff kind of scenario
e.g if you don't want to include certian kind of PO in Release then you need this, for reporting purpose based on the diff bussiness process also you need this etc.
5. Who will use ERS generally and when?
ERS is useful for industry like Dairy, oil etc. the reason is..if you incoming material is not based on the PO means normally it is every day to day process where flow of incoming material can not be handled via PO in those cases you will use ERS to settle the vendor invoice based on the GR of material. or if you same number of qty you receive and you generally settle based on the vendor term then you use ERS to settle the invoice.
6. Any document on EDI setup? For what transactions?
WEDI is main tcode - here oyu will find all kind of config and WE20 is partner profile setup
7. Custom Pricing procedure.
Every company you define your own pricing based on the pricing structure of company by using std sap pricing
8. Custom material types?
IF you want to change the std SAP material type for you company reqs then you need to created custom using std and change as per your reqs or SAP has given e.g. RoH for raw material and you want diff your Raw material more diff way then create custom raw maaterial type more than one and assign them to material based on your reqs.
9. Any major problems that you faced during the implementaion in MM and possibly the solution.
Problems is always there at implemntation side but it vary company to company

I have following requirement for USER EXIT/BADI

If some material number is entered in Transaction ME11 /ME12 , I have to find a user exit/BADI where I will find material group from mara based on EINA-MATNR = MARA-MATNR if that group is within some specific group like CHEM ,POLY,OIL etc. , user will not be allowed to go to next screen and it will show message to user on the first screen itself..
If any one has come across such requirement please help me on this asap.

Info record consists of all the information which is discussed with the vendor on a verbal basis
All this information is captured and stored in the info record. It captures information for a particular material wrt t oa particualr vendor
These are again 4 types
1) Standard -cpntains information for std PO created for materials and services which have/do not have master records
2) consignment: contains infomration about thematerial which are kept at orders premises at vendors own cost.it conatins the vendor with drawl price by the orderer from the consignment stock
3) Subcontracting: mainly consisits of ordering information for subcontract orders.contains info aobut the vendors subcontracting pricve for assembling the component
4) Pipeline: contains inf oabout vendors commodity that is supplied through pipes like water ,oil etc
This also has information additionla info like reminder days ,planned dwelivery time etc
And all these are discussed with the vendor well in advance,. These are entered into Iinfo record so tht there would be less of manual entry during procurement process
Source list :
source list mainly contains the infromation about the list of vendors who are available for that particular material
It captures atheinformation about al the vendors who have an agreement with that particualar Porg

Touch ID recognition problems

I've been using Touch ID for over a week. I'm trying to figure out why it isn't working.
The problem is that after I "enroll" my fingers (thumbs and index fingers), it works for maybe 5 or 10 minutes. After that, the sensor becomes extremely flaky and starts to fail to recognize any of the enrolled fingers.
According to my best estimates, the phone only unlocks about 5% of the time. The rest of the time, it just says "try again" and forces me to eventually enter a passcode. I wipe off the sensor, dry my fingers, wash my hands to remove oils, etc. to no avail. A few times, it worked consistently (1 or 2 touches to unlock) for about an hour at a time before it became inaccurate again.
I've tried removing and re-enrolling my fingers, but the same thing happens. I've heard a lot of stories about people using it and finding that it works relatively well, so I'm stumped on why it isn't working for my fingers. I called Apple and they didn't know enough to figure out why the sensor isn't working properly. My best guess had to do with temperature variations, but recent testing has ruled that out (I enrolled after washing and drying my hands, waited a half an hour, washed and dried my hands again, and it failed to unlock, all while being in a temperature-controlled room).
If anyone else has had this poor performance and been able to determine the cause, I'd like to know. Please don't just post that "it works for you" unless you have some useful information.

I also had the touch ID recognition problem come up after the last update. I did find that scrubbing the screen with the same finger used to access your phone may help motivate the sensor and actually works more often for me then not. Try scrubbing the screen before placing the recognized finger on the sensor. See if that works for you...

EOS 350D. Stuck on buSY

Camera stopped during or after long bulb exposure due to flat battery. Changed to spare battery. Camera stuck on buSY ever since. Info screen normal. Have tried another CF card and have tried re-formatting card externally.
More suggestions welcome. If anyone in Sydney or Canberra, Australia sees this, suggestions of repair shops much appreciated.

You will need to removed both batteries, to get the camera to "reboot".
The 350D/XT has a separate date/time battery, in addition to the main rechargeable. The date/time battery is in a little drawer next to the rechargeable.
It's sort of like restarting your computer to clear RAM, to speed it up and resolve problems. After all, DSLRs are basically computers, too.
Do this:
1. turn off the camera.
2. remove both batteries (note: the date/time battery is shown on page 38 of your manual).
3. turn camera on
4. press the shutter release button once (note: it won't fire, this is just done to drain any remaining power in the camera)
5. turn off camera
6. reinstall batteries (note: wipe the contacts to be sure they are clean of finger oils, etc.)
6a. this might be a good time to replace the date/time battery, if that's never been done (life of these is about 5 years)
6b. if the main rechargeable is old, it might not be taking a proper charge either (life of these is about 400 recharge cycles)
7. turn on camera
8. check the date/time: if it needs to be reset, you got a proper reboot. If not, repeat above.
9. if repeating still doesn't give you a proper reboot, try leaving the batteries out for about an hour instead of pressing the shutter reelast button.
There are no guarantees this will work. But it's free and easy to try.
I would strongly suspect the rechargeable batteries if they are older. After a certain age and certain number of recharge cycles they tend to go bad and what you are seeing might be due to low power supply. It also can be a charger going bad. That's rarer, but does happen sometimes.
If you get the camera working again, don't forget to re-format that memory card in the camera. Formatting it elsewhere, as you say you've done, it might not work right until it's redone in-camera.
Sorry, can't recommend any repair people in your part of the world. This is the Canon USA website and forum. Maybe some other sites are a bit more international or closer to your home.
