Unfortunately yes, though technology would never move on if it kept to older standards and did not strive to do more.
The app store always gives you the option to use a previous version of the app IF it is available for your device.
Sorry but you are stuck without new hardware.

You are correct, there is no flash player on the iPhone, find an alternate browser that may be able to help your quest.
Or use the corresponding app in the App Store. -
So I have an iphone4g in recovery mode. Followed all the steps to the T. Error pops up in itunes 1602. Prior it was powered off during erase all content and settings mode while waiting to reboot. Now its back to the apple logo. Any ideas if powering it off during the erase all content damaged the software?
You should really read the manual.

Restore. When given the choice, choose to use backup.

They would only be where you put them. What program did you use to import them? Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer. -
Hi all,
For some time now, my appstore app shows an update available for CodeBox, which I did not buy. When I try to update it it asks for my ID and password (all normal), but then it gives an Unknown Error.
I am 100% sure I didn't buy the app, I do not see any transaction on my card or in the appstore apart of this one, so does not seem to be a hack.
Does anyone know what is happening, this is a tricky thing which is making me lose trust in the payment/account system that Apple is using.

Isidrowell... actually you are right dahveed, i had a dodgy copy of galaxy on fire 2 (boring game), that's what was giving me the issue. i followed your posts about the MAS etc., and discovered this was the problem. Corrected. You're a knowledgable man, thank you

Hello im trying to "erase all content and settings" on my iphone 4, but it keeps asking for a 4 digit passcode and i have no idea what that passcode is. It's none of my previous passwords I've had on the phone since i've used it. How do i find out that Passcode?
Are you sure it's asking for a four digit code?
iOS 7 has a new feature called Activation Lock. It requires your Apple ID and password before doing something like an iPhone reset. This is a new anti-theft feature. -

I have an app, no longer in the app store, that i want to keep an iphone i'm getting rid of. I backed up the iphone on itunes and deleted all data, but the app, manually. I want to erase all data, and then put the app back on the phone. Please advise. Thanks
Then as I said you can do an Erase All Content and Settings which will wipe the phone. Completely. In order to add a game from your iTunes you will have to activate the iPhone with your Apple ID and then sync the game. You don't have to sync anything else. But you will need to sell the phone with your Apple ID on it.

The Creative Cloud Version of Lightroom does not need a key. Is it possible you have a Trial or previous version of Lightroom installed and that is what you are seeing? If so, uninstall the Lightroom version you have and install it via the Creative Cloud Application.

Does anyone know what is causing this error please?
I recently ran sfc /scannow. It completed without giving me any notifications other than a number of:
"Files that are required for Windows to run properly must be copied to the DLL cache."
I was prompted to insert my XP SP3 installation CD and click on 'retry'.
The scan lasted for around 40 minutes then closed.......at no stage was I advised that it had been unsuccessful.
When I restarted my computer directly afterwards, half way through booting a 'please wait' appeared, as if something was taking place.
I thought all had gone well until I looked in Event Viewer later. There are approximately 90 Windows File Protection entries there mostly with the following information:
The system file ........ could not be copied into the DLL cache. The specific error code is 0x800b0100 [No signature was present in the subject]. This file is necessary to maintain system stability.
Does anyone know what causes that error and what I need to do to resolve it please?Thank you very much for helping.

That was the only Microsoft information I could find on the specific error code I received: 0x800b0100......although the article applies to Microsoft Updates, I thought it might cover this too.
I have now run SFC three times, but errors still showed in Event Viewer.
I regularly run Chkdsk, last few times no errors.
I am actually having my computer checked for malware right now by specialist malware removers......all the malware scans I regularly run have given me the all clear for some time (McAfee Stinger, Hitman Pro, Malwarebytes - MBAM, TDSSKiller) but there has
been malware on my computer in the past, which was removed (not serious I was told).
In two of the scans the techs asked me to carry out there are
hundreds of dll cache entries under
Files/Folders - Created Within 30 Days on the date I run SFC.
I am waiting for this to be confirmed, but it looks to me as if SFC was actually successful to a large extent and the entries in Event Viewer are some failures (not all as I previously thought)?
I also have a serious problem in relation to Microsoft Updates (please see my other question). -

With the Error 2, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?

Did you try to reset the device by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data by resetting.
