Is the jmxremote api reference implementation FOSS?

I'm not great with understanding licenses and need to know if the JMX Remote API Reference Implementation found here is FOSS or just COTS.
Thanks.

Hi,
We have very similar problem on iPad. Simple application that has 3 movie clips bouncing off the edges of the screen, just for testing purposes. We check for TOUCH_MOVE and when finger is moved on the screen everything starts lagging. We are baffled, this is serious problem for us.
Anyone else had this problem? Can we somehow lower sampling frequency? And most importantly whay is this even happening?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Konstanty

Is JMX Remote API Reference Implementation open source one?
Can we use JMX Remote API Reference Implementation with commercial products?

    Hi,
    I am not a lawyer.
If you're referring to the JMX RI binary downloads available from here:
    http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/core/mntr-mgmt/javamanagement/download.jsp
then please click on the download button and then review the license agreement.
You will see that this is not the GPL license.
As such these downloads are not "open source".
However the JMX API is also part of the OpenJDK project - and the OpenJDK project
itself is open source. The OpenJDK project has a NetBeans IDE JMX project that will
let you easily work with the JMX sources.
    See http://openjdk.java.net/groups/jmx/ for more details.
You can review the OpenJDK license agreement and download the OpenJDK sources
    from http://openjdk.java.net/
The OpenDMK Project contains an open source implementation of the JMXMP
connector for the JMX API - which is the optional JMX connector defined in the
JMX Remote API 1.0 specification. The JMXMP connector is not part of the OpenJDK
project, but is open sourced by the OpenDMK project.
You can review the OpenDMK license agreement and download the sources and
binaries of the OpenDMK project from here:
    http://opendmk.dev.java.net/
For an exact description of what you can or can't do with any of these various sources
and binaries, please read the license agreements that come with each of them.
    I hope this helps,

  • Do You Use the TestStand API Reference Poster?

The TestStand R&D Team would like to know how you use the TestStand API Reference Poster that ships with TestStand.  How often do you use it?  Is it hanging up near your computer?  What tasks do you use it for?

    Hi,
I dont use the hard copy. I unfolded the it the first time it appeared in version 3.0. Refolded it, put it back in the box and have never bothered with it since.
I have used the electronic version now again, when I haven't got access to the programmer help doc which you find in the teststand\bin folder.
I find its use limited, as it only really gives you the relationship between classes and a list of the properties and methods. This you can obtain for the help document.

  • Distiller API reference to the PDF printer

    Hello,
I was using the Acrobat Distiller API reference to the Adobe PDF printer. The API reference allowed me to eliminate the popup for the pdf name by defining a key that contained the name of the PDF file. This interface worked fine on a Windows XP Pro machine.
So I changed over to Windows 7 (64 bit)  and Adobe acrobat (Version 10.1.5) and the distiller API reference not longer
works, I cannot get a PDF file to be created. So does anyone have any idea why the distiller API reference is not longer working on a WIndows 7 (64 bit) machine?

    Hello,
Thank you for all of the feedback.  It appears to me that I have some choices to make, they are
Have one version of the code for Windows XP Pro.
Have one version of the code for Windows 7 (64 bit)
Update the code to detect the OS and do the "OS specific keys"
Change the output file to something other than a PDF
I am just disappointed that the Adobe Distiller API reference manual did not define/document the differences between the various versions of Windows. I assumed (we know what assume stands for) that I did not have to change my code for a "simple operation" as printing.  I can obviously understand the difference between Windows and other operating systems.
So hopefully the next time that Adobe cranks out a Distiller API reference manual they will define the registry keys for each version of all of the operating systems they support. I did it again...I made another assumption...that will come back to haunt me at some time in the future.
Thanks again to everyone who has provided a response to my discussion

  • Creating API Reference

Is there an application that generates API reference from .java files? I'm working with an application that has many custom java classes, and their API reference is in the same format as that of the Java API reference. I was wondering if there was anything that can generate all of this automatically?

Do you mean something besides javadoc?
Javadoc will do all that you asked. You can added additional notes and information to the docs by inserting /**...*/ style comments just before the methods or classes you are documenting. If you don't insert any notes, javadoc will just document the method and parameters.

  • Are these functions available in the REST API?

I searched the documentation, but have found no way to do the following:
Perform a CMS Query (or any other way to filter/retrieve CMS objects)
Get current user's info (Favorites folder ID, Inbox ID, etc.)
    Get security details for objects
Get info on Events, Calendars, Servers

Pardon me for saying so, but if you valued my support you would make the transition easier.  As I mentioned in my other thread, wrapper classes would be a good start.
As it is, I'm not only stuck having to re-code all my applications and scripts, but re-build them from the ground up.  And that's if the functionality exists -- if not, I then have to make calls to two wholly different APIs in the same script.  And, contrary to what I've read here, using the REST API requires a lot more supporting code, is less reusable, and pushes errors from compile-time to run-time.
"Cumbersome" is not a word I would use.
While it may be easier to be enthusiastic at the potential for developing on a platform that was previously unavailable, it's much harder when I have to put time and effort into redeveloping into something that will net me little benefit.
Why not continue to maintain the Java and .NET SDKs until the REST API has implemented all of their functionality?

    Hi,
Yes, we will update some new classes in Asdocs. Currently
they were coreUI internal classes and hence we didnot prioritize
    adding asdocs for them.

  • Carbon API Reference

I got the ADC Developer Documentarion package this week. Big mistake! Now when I attempt to search the Carbon API Reference all I get is a file not found dialog. Unfortunately the ADC Developer Documentation download overwrote the previous ADC Developer Documentation. How can I get my searches to work again? Is there any place I can download the previous ADC Developer Documentation package?
    Hurst C.

I found my problem! Apparently Apple made a format change in the ADC developer documentation format that prevented the old search engine from working with the new documentation format. The problem went away when I restarted Xcode. I don't remember the documentation installer mentioning anything about requiring an Xcode restart due to the format change. I think Apple missed the boat here!

  • JCOP and Java Card Reference Implementation

    Hello,
is it possible to use the JCOP tool to debug or run an applet not on only on the simulation of the JCOP cards, but also on the Java Card Reference Implementation?
If yes, how can I do it?
    Thanks

That would be interesting to see. I don't think it would be benefcial, simply because the JCOP uses additional features that aren't found in the JCREF, like Global Platform. Therefore, your applet downloads wouldn't work because of the difference in APDU commands. Also I don't know how the IDE debugging would handle it.
I'd like to see if JPCSC can work with JCREF for sending APDU commands.

I think that the problem is cause by wrong PATH environment
    But I don't know solution.

something is installed in a folder with a space in it. for example, it will be installed in "c:\program files\...". you may be able to surround the part of the path with quotes. without knowing the program thats causing the problem its gonna be tricky to figure out how to fit it. it could be a path thing (i have loads of development stuff installed with no path problems) or it could be another environment variable.
it could be perl itself. i can't remember if i had problems with that - i might have done. i think i installed perl into c:\perl rather than c:\prorgam files\perl (for example) to get round problems. shrug, i can't remember now.

  • Support for SWF Verification in the reference implementation server

The Server for Protected Streaming provides a way to configure a whitelist of allowed SWF hashes.  However, from what I can tell, the reference implementation server does not have this capability.  Any suggestions on how to implement SWF Verification in the reference implementation server ?

To use SWF whitelists with the Reference Implementation, set the SWF  whitelist in a policy, and use that policy when packaging the content.  When issuing a license, the Reference Implementation will use whatever  restrictions were specified in the policy at packaging time.  Alternatively, since the Reference Implementation ships with source  code, you can modify the server so you can specify the SWF whitelist  information at the time the license is generated.
