Hi Victor,
not all parameters you will find in the instance profile.Some default ones and maintained ones can be seen.if it is not there you can manually add it in t-code rz10.
Have a look at below link

  • Setting the parameter DIR_ORAHOME for a Dialog Instance

    I have been advised by the SAP GoLiveCheck to set the parameter DIR_ORAHOME for my dialog instances. The Oracle home is currently on the central instance at G:\oracle\SID\102. What must the path for the parameter DIR_ORAHOME be set to on the dialog instance? (central_host\.....???))
    Help.
    Scott

    Hello Scott,
    >> What must the path for the parameter DIR_ORAHOME be set to on the dialog instance?
    The paraemeter must be the same as on the database server itself. Set the DIR_ORAHOME in the default profile.. that is the way we do it.
    For example: /oracle/<SID>/102_64

  • Any way to pass Multiple Values for a single Label in the Parameter?

    I have a Report that Contains 2 Parameters, @Customer & @Area. When trying to set up the Available Values for @Area, I'm having issues using multiple values for one Label, i.e. = "4006" Or "4610"
    One of the Filters in the Report is an Operation number, which is the [OPERATION] field, which is setup as a filter on the Tablix referencing the @Area parameter.
    PROBLEM: I cannot retrieve any data when trying to use the ‘Or’ Operator here. If I simply put “4006” or “4610” I retrieve data, but when trying to combine it returns no data.
    Example, I need to allow a user to select ‘Chassis Incoming’, which would include data from Operations 4006 & 4610.
    QUESTION:
    Any way to pass Multiple Values for a single Label in the Parameter?
    I realize the typical solution may be to use ‘Multi-Value’ selection, but in this case we want the User to select the Area and the multiple values for Filtering will be automatically determined for them. Otherwise, they are subject to not getting
    it correct.
    I have tried several different ways, such as =”4006” Or “4610”, =(“4006”, “4610”), = In(“4006”, “4610”), etc….
    Note: We are using Report Builder 3.0

    Based on my experience, there's no way to 'intercept' the query that gets passed back to SQL Server, so a Split wouldn't work.
    Try creating either a function or stored procedure using the code below (compliments to
    http://www.dotnetspider.com/resources/4680-Parse-comma-separated-string-SQL.aspx) to parse the string:
    CREATE FUNCTION dbo.Parse(@Array VARCHAR(1000), @Separator VARCHAR(10))
    RETURNS @ResultTable TABLE (ParseValue VARCHAR(100))AS
    BEGIN
    DECLARE @SeparatorPosition INT
    DECLARE @ArrayValue VARCHAR(1000)
    SET @Array = @Array + @Separator
    WHILE PATINDEX('%' + @Separator + '%' , @Array) <> 0
    BEGIN
    SELECT @SeparatorPosition = PATINDEX('%' + @Separator + '%', @Array)
    SELECT @ArrayValue = LEFT(@Array, @SeparatorPosition - 1)
    INSERT @ResultTable VALUES (CAST(@ArrayValue AS VARCHAR))
    SELECT @Array = STUFF(@Array, 1, @SeparatorPosition, '')
    END
    RETURN
    END
    Once created you can do things like this:
    SELECT * FROM Parse('John,Bill,David,Thomas', ',')
    SELECT * FROM (SELECT 'John' AS TestName union select 'David' AS TestName) AS Main
    WHERE TestName IN (SELECT ParseValue FROM dbo.Parse('John,Bill,David,Thomas', ','))
    This is what your SQL query would probably look like:
    SELECT OperationID, OperationName FROM dbo.Operations
    WHERE AreaID IN (SELECT ParseValue FROM dbo.Parse(@Area, ','))
    You may need to fiddle around with the Separator depending on whether SQL Server inserts a space between the comma and next value.

  • The parameter name [...] in the query's selection criteria does not match..

    Hi all,
    I'm trying to pratice EJB 3 (which I learnt at school), with JSF and JPA, but i'm really stuck with that error :
    Exception [TOPLINK-6094] (Oracle TopLink Essentials - 2.0 (Build b41-beta2 (03/30/2007))): oracle.toplink.essentials.exceptions.QueryException
    Exception Description: The parameter name [departmentID] in the query's selection criteria does not match any parameter name defined in the query.
    Query: ReadAllQuery(oracle.datamodel.Employees)
    I will try to explain clearly what i'm trying to do :
    In fact, i'm following that tutorial :
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe1013jdev/10131/ejb_and_jpa/master-detail_pagewith_ejb.htm
    But, as i didn't have any oracle database, but had a mysql one on my machine, i decided to use that DB instead of the the oracle DB... So i created a set of example data (to replace the oracle example set) ...so i created the tables EMPLOYEE, and DEPARTMENT... with the correct relations (FK) and PK)
    All was ok, i choose my "mysql-connector" (jdbc) instead of the oracle jdbc connector... so i could follow the tutorial.
    My problem appears at the step 12 (of "Creating a Master-Detail JavaServer Faces Page"), when i run the file deptEmployees.jspx.
    The information of the first departement displays correctly :
    departmentID 1
    departmentName ... etc
    but it can't display the employees belonging to that department !
    the error is :
    JBO-29000: Exception Description: The parameter name [departmentID] in the query's selection criteria does not match any parameter name defined in the query. Query: ReadAllQuery(oracle.datamodel.Employees)
    I think i understand what is the problem... I think that the query in charge of gathering the data of a specific departement need a parameter, but couldn't find it. But i don't know why :-/ I have tried many things and read the topics talking about that error... but it didn't solved the problem. I don't know anymore where to investigate.
    I have created a Zip file of my work (it's an EJB/JSF Application.. with jdev 10.1.3.3.0)
    (available here : http://dl.free.fr/mQ5esdQuS/EJB_appli.zip)
    I would be glad if someone could take few minutes to help me.
    Thank you in advance,
    Thomas B (student)

    Hello,
    This is a common mistake. Java string comparisons in TopLink are case sensitive by default, and since column names are uppercase when defaulted, TopLink cannot find the "departmentID" column name. In this case, Departments ID column defaults to "DEPARTMENTID" as required by the JPA specification.
    Either change Departments id annotation to     @Id
        @Column(name="departmentID", nullable = false)
        private Integer departmentID;or change Employees' ManytoOne annotation to:
        @ManyToOne
        @JoinColumn(name = "departmentID", referencedColumnName = "DEPARTMENTID")
        private Departments departments;Best Regards,
    Chris

  • How to retrieve the parameter names from a JSP page ? Urgent Please

    Hello,
    Can anybody tell me how to retrieve the parameter names from the JSP
    page. (without using getParameterNames() method.)
    The problem with the getParameterNames() method is I get the Jumbled output.
    I need it very badly
    With regards
    Ananth R

    [email protected]

    Dear duffymo,
    My primary intention is to convert the JSP form information into a XML file.
    If I do not get the Parameter names in the correct order how can I maintain
    tag order in XML file.
    For ex: (JSP PAGE VIEW)
    Name--
    FirstName
    MiddleName
    LastName
    Address--
    Street1
    Street2
    City
    Country
    &so on
    (XML File to be generated)
    <Name>
    <FirstName>Value</FirstName>
    </Name>
    <Address>
    <street1>value</street1>
    </Address>
    & so on
    If I use getParameterNames() to get all the parameter names(Which form the tag names in the XML file ) the Enumeration object it returns will not be in the same order as the text fields in JSP.From this I can not construct a meaningful XML file.
    order means: Order of entry on the page, from top to bottom
    That's it

  • Multiple Label fields within the Parameter List of Available Values

    Hi,
    I have a business requirement where this is a period number which will be a value filed within a parameter. The labels of the parameter need to be the start date of the period and the end date of the period. What is the best way implement this in SSRS please?
    Since SSRS seems to be limited to one label field. My best quess at a solution is to concatinate the start and end period into a single field then expose this as the label.
    Is this the best approach to take?
    Kieran Patrick Wood http://www.innovativebusinessintelligence.com http://uk.linkedin.com/in/kieranpatrickwood http://kieranwood.wordpress.com/

    You need to modify the dataset to concatenate start and end periods to get new field which can be used as your label field.

  • Runtime parameter rdisp/max_wprun_time is set to 1700

    u201CCaller 70u201D missing error. This is happening because the runtime parameter rdisp/max_wprun_time is set to 1700. If I edit it to 15000 temporarily and re run the load, the load is successful.
    this is popping up at the point of updating data targets, in the 1st set of data package while the second loads successfully.
    Krishna.

    The runtime parameter rdisp/max_wprun_time defines the time limit for a foreground process. While backgound processes are permitted to run with out any limit. With this parameter the foreground/dialog processes are permitted to run for the defined amount of time, beyond this the system will cancel them terming it as time limit exceeded error.
    The standard defined by SAP for this parameter is 3600, but depending on our business need we can increase or decrease this value. Usually taken care by Basis Administrators.

  • Lock table size change in instance profile RZ10

    i need your help. I changed the table size from 10000 to 17000 and then to 20000 but still have the same table size as before.i used rz10 to change the parameter enque/table_size.
    the steps i followed are as in all documents i can find.
    1. change parameter value
    2. save it (parameter and instance)
    3. activate it.
    4.on restart instance (i just left it for the offline backup to do this).
    on the 4th step is that enough, because after the system came back i checked the parameter in rz11 and the current value on the parameter is still 10000. (owner entries and granule still 12557 as before)
    am i missing something?
    vinaka
    epeli

    Hi,
    it COULD be that the offline backup did indeed no restart of the instance. From Oracle I know that there is a so called "reconnect-status" where the SAP instance is trying over a defined period of time to log to the database again after the workprocesses lost connection to the database processes. In this timeframe the instance is not to be considered as restarted.
    If you check ST02 you see the point of time where the instance was restarted in reality the last time. If this date is before your offline backup you need to do the restart manually.
    Best regards, Alexander

  • DEFAULT, STARTand INSTANCE Profile

    Hi everybody
                   What are the differences between START INSTANCE AND DEFAULT Profiles.
         What are the jobs these profiles are doing?
    plz in detail
    Regards,
    Siva

    Hi Siva,
    Start Profile
    When you start an SAP instance on a host, the start profile defines which SAP services are started (message server, dialog, gateway or enqueue process.
    Default Profile
    If you want to assign the same parameter value for all application servers (such as the name of the database host, or the host on which the message server is running), enter it in the default profile. In general, you can list any parameter you like here.
    Instance Profile
    Instance profiles provide an application server with additional configuration parameters to complement the settings values from the default profile. Typically, these parameter settings adapt the instance according to the desired resources. They also define the available instance resources (main memory, shared memory, roll memory and so on), and how to allocate memory to the SAP application buffers.
    refer to the following link for more details

  • Determine/read the value of parameter rdisp/max_wprun_time within ABAP

    Hi,
    I need to avoid program breaks caused by exceeding run time longer than defined in parameter rdisp/max_wprun_time.
    I will check the time since start of report in the critcal loop to bring the current data changes to a controlled end before getting a program break. I won't put a constant to the report, I will have a dynamical routine to avoid changes of report if the value of parameter rdisp/max_wprun_time will be changed.
    But how can I get the value of this parameter within my ABAP report? Is there a table where this value has been stored? Is there an existing function module or a method to read the value?
    Thank's a lot in advance!
    Georg

    The runtime   parameter (GET RUN TIME ) can be used to dynamically get the program run time
    DATA T TYPE I.
    GET RUN TIME FIELD T.
    WRITE: / 'Runtime', T.
    or
    U probably can store the start date and time in TVARV with some variable ( line concatenate program name + START Date + Time)
    and then use
    SD_DATETIME_DIFFERENCE
    or
    SD_CALC_DURATION_FROM_DATETIME
