Yes, a 13" non-Air model requires a minimum of 60 watts, so you will be fine. If it is a 2011 or earlier model, the connector is the regular MagSafe, whereas this year's models use the MagSafe 2 that is different.

So, I've taken my panasonic printer back to the shop and exchenged it for a Canon MF-4430. Alas... the generic drivers do not make it print. Is it possible to get drivers to make this canon printer work with my lovely Mac Book Pro Snow Leopard, 6.8?
I could not find a MF-4430 at the Canon site. Are you sure the model is correct? They have a MF4450. The Mac drivers are here:

If you are sure you have a MF4430, look around the canon site for the drivers. -
Wil the OCZ vortex 3 SSD work in the apple Mac Book Pro?
I really want to get the fastest SSD (money is not the issue) out there in my Macbook Pro 2011 I was just wondering if the Vortex 3 will be able to work at his maximum perfomance in the mac book pro 2011, and is 6Gb/s SATA 3 supported.
it should work as long as all of the 8,X versions of the MBP have the Intel 6 series chipset I have a 13" (MacBookPro 8,1) and it can support SATA 6.0Gb/s Drives. A downside to putting in a non Apple SSD is you will not get TRIM Support on it, however a Toshiba SSD may be able to use the TRIM Support as I have seen a number of Apple SSD's listed as TS128GB which are Toshiba drives.
I know people are complaining about the freeze after wake on the Vertex 2 however I have a 2011 13" i5 (MBP 8,1) and installed a OCZ Agility 2. On the FirmWare that came on the drive 1.27 I was having this issue. I updated the FirmWare to 1.29 yesterday and have not seen it yet.
Now the problem is updating the FW with OCZ. They put the Mac logo on the back of the box however you will not have support on updating the FW from them. Users on the forum have come up with ways to update it, with that said most are using Linux being booted from a CD. I was unable to update mine this way. First these are such new machines that none of the linux os's listed will wake when you suspend to RAM as instructed. I also could not get an internet connection on any of them (wired or wireless) which you need to have. I updated mine using a win7 notebook since it is easy to access the HD and used LinuxLiveOS. I did not have to reformat nor did I have to bootcamp my SSD, it also did not erase anything from it but back up your data, thats what the old HDD is good for now, using it as a TimeMachine Disk. I just plugged my SSD into the SATA connector on my win7 machine and booted from CD/DVD on the window's machine....see they can be useful.
With this being said there is no guarantee your OCZ SSD will work properly all of the time or 1.29 will fix the hibernate problem they are having. I am only informing you and others of the support or lack of support OCZ has for their products even though they label something Mac Compatible, which isn't a complete lie, THEY do not support updates for US Mac Users. -

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")

My laptop got pinched and I bought a used Mac Book Pro, put a larger hard drive in it and performed a clean install of Snow Leopard on the new drive, after which I used the Migration Assistant to bring over my applications, settings, documents, etc., from my backup hard drive. This hard drivekis not a Ti e Machine drive, it's one I use to clone my computer to regularly with Carbon Copy Cloner. When the migration was complete all my documents, the desktop,and other folders are locked and won't allow me to access them. What to do? Thanks for the help.

No; but then, I've not had occasion to use TDM. I've been using firerwire drives for over 10 years, both FW400 and FW800, with no issues except a bit of instability using a B&W G3 machine.
TDM should be safe. Using cautious, manual copying of files from the Target machine to the Host machine should not result in unexpected loss of files or damage to the Target drive's directories. It should behave exactly the same as if it were an external (to the Host) firewire drive.

There is probably a way to do that - seems to me that's one of the reasons for a Time Machine volume.

With the machine in TDM with the other machine, have you tried running Disk Utility to see if you can effect repairs to the drive? -
I rented a movie through ITunes on my I-pad. I'd now like to play it on my big screen TV. I do not have the cables to connect the I-pad to the TV, but I do have the cables to connect my MacBook Pro laptop to the TV. How do I get the movie from the I-pad to the laptop. It does not come up anywhere on the Itunes application on my laptop.

Ok I am very unplease with this new Mac Book pro. i guess its not the computer but man when you get on any windows computer, they are all about the same and easy to use. i am having alot of problems trying to find things like where to burn a home made video. I call apple and they say to use imovie but guess what, you cant burn a disc there. i have done almost everthing i could and it seems this computer is going to cost me about 2000 bucks more by the time i finish buying the apps needed for me to use as a student. so most like i am going to return it before the 14 days. Please help.
Ok, I misunderstood. The Find My iPhone app is on your iPhone or iPad, not on your Mac. If it is not in iTunes under Apps, then try downloading it again. It is free.
iDVD has apparently been dropped with new Macs. It is rumored to still be available on the iLife DVDs, but I don't know how long that may last. I've never used anything else, so I don't know what to replace it with. I think Toast will burn a DVD, but I don't know if it will do all the design and menu things. -
I have tried to make my Microsoft Office for MAC's OUTLOOK program work as the default email system. But ATT/Yahoo says its service is not compatible with the MAC version of Microsoft Outlook... Has anyone been able to make it work? I can't change my ISP right now.

Canon EOS 100D is listed as compatible in Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 6.01 and when I have checked for software updates there are none available. I've downloaded the Canon software, connected to my mac via the cable and followed the instructions in the manual. Sadly I just get a message saying it's not compatible with the operating system. I've tried inserting the memory card into the mac to and it doesn't seem to see it. Can anyone help please?
Camera RAW ≠ Camera driver, the RAW update is for the .CR2 canon raw image file (in your case) compatibility.
What happens when you try to import photos using Image Capture or iPhoto?
Can you take a screenshot of the error message?
I always prefer and recommend using memory card import over using the camera. -
