Is there a way to not allow add ons?

Is there a way to keep users from installing addons to forefox? there are some addons which would be a security issue for my company.

You can lock the pref <b>xpinstall.enabled</b> to false to prevent users from installing extensions.

Is there a way to NOT allow Safari History to be cleared?

Is there a way to stop someone, "my children", from erasing the history of the websites they have been on so that I can monitor where they are on the web. I'm not so interested in parental controls because they limit so many places that they need to access. But I want to be able to monitor where they have been on the web.

Wade, just a small word of advice. Depending upon the age of your kids, and the knowledge of computers, and i have a feeling it is relatively high. There is no long-term (a week is considered long term) solution to preventing your kids from surfing on the Internet. Parental controls can be easily bypassed, login passwords can be changed, individual cookies can be deleted along with sites, safari even now comes standard with a private browsing option, that doesn't even save the history or cookies, once they close the window, everything is gone, it isn't even erased because it simply never existed. I will tell you from experience, i just moved on to college, that there wasn't a student my age that didn't know how to get around thier parents' tricks. All routers can log history, they have range of how long, normally how many domain sites, but they can still log history. I simply ask you to consider, as a child, the respect you are wanting. It is much better to sit down, tell you kids you are able to monitor them, but you trust them and hope they will make good discussions. Remember that surfing on the web is better then being out at night, and you not knowing where they are. Your best option is probably simply having the computer in a public place. Ohh, and by the way don't tell them you "installed" a special application, they can simply look to see what currently running, check the memory and be able to tell if you are lieing. And if they catch you in a lie it doesn't matter what you caught them doing.

Is there a way to disable the Add Ons feature?

Every time I boot FF, it starts with a popup Add Ons window trying to download more Add Ons. A few make sense for me, but most do not. Fortunately, I do not have FF set to install the Add Ons automatically. FF says it doesn't support Add Ons, but it certainly is responsible for the action of the Add Ons feature that constantly tries to load unwanted software on my computer. Can the Add Ons be disabled? Or is this another one of those things where everyone is going to say give up on FF and switch to Chrome?

Is there a way to not allow an employee to send texts on the business iPhone using their personal iCloud account?

I work for a company that issues business iPhones to our sales representatives so that they can easily communicate with our customers in their territories and have access to many helpful resources.
One of our sales reps recently went on to work for a different company (our competition). When we were getting his company phone ready for the next representative that would take over his territory, we discovered that he had been using his iCloud account to text customers for the past 2-3 months instead of the phones number. Unfortunately this means he still has access to all of our customers via his personal iCloud account, and they are probably still texting him for their product needs.
We aren't sure if this was intentional or not, but is there anything we can do to keep things like this from happening in the future? A way to keep the sales rep from using their personal iCloud address to send and receive texts on the company phones?

Sorry, maybe I don't understand, but why do you feel compelled to subscribe to CC if you already have a permanent Lightroom 5 licence?

Create a NEW account using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.

Using those instructions you may also be able to select PayPal if that is allowed in your country.

Is there a way to have iPhoto add manually assigned location information to the original file? After adding location information to about 20,000 of my 35,000 picture library, I generated a new library because of problems with faces. That fixed the faces problem but I was quite disappointed to see that the locations were absent. From what I can see, you can only do this by exporting the files (file - edit) and having the option checked to include the location information. Of course, if you select to have the original files exported (as opposed to creating 35,000 new jpegs), you do not have the option to include location information. Even if you did have that option, it would be a silly way to do it. Am I missing something?

No exporting is the only way - I believe that HoudahGeo - http://www.houdah.com/houdahGeo/ - will add them to the originals in iPhoto - check it out

Yes but that a bad idea.
System Preferences, Users and Groups, click the Lock Icon and type in your password, click on Login Options, then in Automatic login set it to your user name.
But as I said above that is a very bad idea. Anyone that turn on your computer would then be logged into your account, can read all your files and make changes to lock you out. Also in the duture when you may need to enter a password do do something you may forget what your password is.
