Is there a way to use color and other fonts when emailing or messages that isn't a hassle?

I would think that people are bored of same font and downloading from other app copy and paste is not ideal plus I want to add color to messages to signify importance of statement. Am I not finding an easy method? After all the emoji was added directly to keyboard, why can't it be that easy?

It's generally better to stick to plain text for email. Depending on the device an email gets read on, all that fancy formatting can look terrible or render the email unreadable. It can also slow the downloading of an email to a mobile device. Do your recipients a favor and don't weight your emails down.

As an example, if you're downloaded Adobe InDesign from the Creative Cloud, there is absolutely no difference in the way it uses fonts from a copy of Adobe InDesign that you installed from a DVD. Both applications are run from your computer's hard drive.
Your company's fonts would need to be installed on your computer to use them in any computer application.

Is there a way to use iPhoto and *not* have it import photos?

I'm transitioning from a PC to a Mac and everything is going fairly well -- overall a better user experience. One question I have is, is there a way to use iPhoto without having it import photos? My main issue is that currently iPhoto imports all the photos that I want to view/edit in iPhoto and copies them to it's own folder structure. I like to manage my pictures in a folder structure that I define, so I already back up my photos to another location and now I'm finding that iPhoto is just duplicating the pictures that I already have where I want them, sucking up precious space on my SSD.
So is there a way for me to just point iPhoto to a folder, make my edits on those photos, and have iPhoto automatically save those changes to the original folder I pointed it to, instead of duplicating the photos in it's own folder structure?
It occasional things like this that makes me miss some Windows features. In this case, I miss Windows Photo Gallery.

It exports whichever you choose - the edited version or the original.

NO you're not the only one. The protection against any data corruption is a good back up, and you need that for any data on any computer running any OS. But in the case of iPhoto, remember too that the original files are stored exactly as they are imported, in folders, in the filing system.
that when I go to export the photos, there's a LOT of duplicate file names that the export chokes on, which makes it very tedious, no, painful, for me to export a large number of photos.
Explore the options under File Name when you export from iPhoto using the File -> Export command

Email address validation, is there a way to use Regex or other fuzzy searching?

I would like to use PL/SQL for Email address validation, is there a way to use Regex (regular expressions) or some other fuzzy searching for that? Using % and _ wildcards only take you so far...

The last line is to make sure there are no linebreaks in the middle of the email address, is there a better way to signify a line break, like \n or an ascii equivilent?

The as noted in the previous post, DBI is a Perl package that allows Perl to talk to various databases, including Oracle. We use DBI on several UNIX servers, and it does not require ODBC, and I have always found it to be extremely quick. Things may be different in the Windows world.
If you are spooling files out to run through Perl anyway, you may want to take a look at DBI. You could probably modify your existing scripts to use DBI fairly easily. The basic structure using DBI is like:

I have an older treadmill that uses IFit which means a program on my phone controls my treadmill via an aux audio cable. I like using BT headphones so I don't have cords hanging. So...I'm trying to figure some way to either a) have iphone connected physically to treadmill but bt'ing music to my headphones at the same time or b) get iphone to communicate with two different bt devices simultaneously. (Treadmill can also be controlled via BT, but I still need the BT for headphones)
Any ideas would be great. I currently have cable running from treadmill to iphone and headphones via a splitter but it's a LOT of cord hanging which makes things difficult.

Is there a way to hide pages and show them when selected in a combo box?

I'm creating a document that has different forms for different states. Ideally, I would like to select a state from a drop down and then show the corresponding form(s) associated with that state. Anyway to do it in Acrobat 9.0 Pro?

Don't templates only work as spawning several copies of the same form?
Or you can just have certain information spawn to locations on various
other forms?

Problems downloading photos from my camera (Panasonic Lumix). Some will download and others will not with error message that they are the wrong format (jPeg)

Never had an issue before. Have installed latest software update and now only some of my photos will download. The rest will be recognized as a bad format (jPeg) and the camera will be ejected automatically, improperly, causing me to have to reboot the camera by removing the battery from the camera.

That is why a card reader is so useful. You do not have to wait for the camera to charge and avoid the kind of errors above.

Assuming you do not have access to the "original" video/project and the YouTube video is the only copy, there is a method. Try "YouTube Downloader" which is a free software that allows you to download clips from YouTube as .mp4 files. You can then edit with Premiere, and re-encode again for upload to YouTube. Just keep in mind that you are re-compressing the video so there will be some quality loss. The better the quality of the original, the better the copy will hold up.

I recently received a gift of a new ipad. Unfortunately I can't really switch from my Windows lap top until I figure out a way to use the ipad for my business emails which I use Outlook 2010 for. There are a singnificant amount of folders and history, with various attachments, that I have to have access to and I have been unable to find a way to move all of this over to the ipad. I use Yahoo mail for my primary mail server and can get the Yahoo mail on the ipad with no problem. But I do not have the full folder structure set up on Yahoo that I have on Outlook 2010 and to do so would be very time consuming...and I'm note even sure how I could move all the folders back to Yahoo and all the emails contained in them, many of which have been long deleted form Yahoo, back to Yahoo. Ideally I would just install Outlook 2010 on ipad and export all the files over. But there doesn't seem to be any Outlook 2010 program for ipad...if there is, please tell me about it. Otherwise, I need a relatively quick alternative that will not force me to recreate my entire Outlook 2010 folder structure and copy emails over folder by folder. If anyone has had the same issues, and was able to solve them, I would very much appreciate knowing how to do this. I like the ipad and want to use it for my main platform. Thanks

Welcome to the Apple community.
You can only restore them from a Computer backup. This has occurred because you are sharing an iCloud account. ideally you should each have your own iCloud account, that way you can each manage your own mail, contacts, calendars, documents etc and avoid unintentional deletions and unwanted editing. If there is information you wish to share between you, this can be done with a secondary account.
Having separate iCloud accounts, doesn't mean you have to have separate iTunes accounts, so whilst you keep your personal data separate, you can continue to share music, apps, books, TV shows, movies etc.
