ISA 5.0 with Delivery/Shipment tracking
Hello,
I have a fully-functional E-Commerce 5.0 application connected to an ERP backend (not CRM) and I'd like to implement the Delivery Tracking Status functionality.
Has anyone done this or has plans to do this? I'm looking for any feedback, good or bad, any links to documentation, or any step-by-step walkthroughs...
Thank you,
Bryan
Hi Bryan,
Shipment tracking is a standard out of box functionality for ECO. You need to maintain the necessary shippers data in the tables TCAURL and TCAVAR,
The best practice document C20 section 3.8 has the complete instructions on setting up this scenario. If you do not have the document, then let me know. I will send it to you.
Do not forget to reward if it helps,

Hi,
I'm working on the enhancements on the CRM ISA B2B/B2C application (CRM 4.0 ISA Sp09). Client Requirement is to have the Shipment Tracking Link (UPS) in the application once the shipment is dispatched from R/3. Could someone tell me the steps invloved to achieve this?
Greatly appreciate all the help.
Thanks,
Vishal Mehta.Hi follow the standard SAP documentation. You will find it easy in implementing the Shipment tracking.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm40/helpdata/en/2f/cc2168d28f11d5b2d8000102ddd7e5/content.htm
I have configured according to this.I am getting it fine for FEDEX.The only problem I am facing is the URL mentioned in the table TCAURL for UPS and DHL.
As per the above document the Tracking number is getting attached to the URL where as in actual DHL and UPS case they have secured order tracking.
If you get some solution for UPS regarding this please let me know.
But follow the steps as mentioned above. The shipment tracking will be set up automatically without much effort.
Please allot reward point if you think that it solved your problem.

Cross-Company Stock Transfer with Delivery and Billing
Hello Fellow Experts and Friends,
I have a situation at a client in California. The client does Make-to-Order sales. The only materials kept in inventory are raw materials and NREs. This client has plants in several countries around the world but only two are on SAP. The current version is 4.6C.
The scenario goes like this. The plant in China (CC: 2020, Plnt: 0020) wants to order raw materials from the US plant (CC: 1010, Plnt: 0010). If the US plant does not have enough stock in inventory, an order needs to be placed with a local vendor. When all materials a re available to ship,we need to deliver to and invoice the China plant. Additionally, shipment notification needs to be sent to the plant in China.
IWould someone please be so kind as to helpme with a "Best Practice" process flow for Cross-Company STO with Delivery and Billing? I also need guidlines for customizing the process in the IMG. This process must include issuing a PO to a local vendor for ordering additional inventory. For the shipment notification, I was thinking of an EDI Advance Shipment Notice if the receiving plant uses EDI. I need a different option, If the receiving palnt does not use EDI.
I am open to your suggestions.
Thanks,
AJ

Once this is correctly set up it works very, very well. And the cross-company supply scenario is actually fairly simple, streamlined and automated. However, this is NOT such a simple process to set up.
True cross-company supply, all the way through, requires a LOT of configuration which ties in SD, MM, FI, and EDI. It uses "wrap-around" IDocs to do some of the cross-posting in other company codes. There is also the issue of Intercompany markups, as well as Intercompany eliminations.
There are LOTS of folks who do the painful process of the FULL Order to Cash in one company code, and the full Purchase to Pay in the other. But this is NOT the right solution and requires almost twice as much transaction processing.
Just for the Intercompany setup, start to finish, I've been working on a "cookbook" to set up all of the modules for almost 10 years now. I've done it several times, at several companies and it works very well once it is all in place. However, that cookbook document is about 100 pages long (config settings, IMG settings, master data requirements, EDI settings, etc.).
Also, in your scenario you are talking about multi-sourcing parts from other locations. All of the related MRP settings are a separate setup issue.
What you are asking is WAYYYYyyy beyond the scope of forum posting. So if your company or client could use some help, please feel free to contact me.

Intercompany STO with Delivery & Billing- Return STO
Hi Everyone,
Currently I am doing Intercompany STO with Delivery and Billing, which is working perfetly fine.
We create 1 Purchase order for 1,00000 LB and it will be finish after 6 months ( we provide schedule to supplying plant weekly for next 6 month, how much they have to ship ) Some times we received less quantity from supplying plant lets say weekly they have to sent 100 LB but they sent only 85 LB in last week of month and I have to close the sales.
In this can I use Return STO process ? I dont want to adjust quanity in next shipment because I have to close sales.
Some times at the time of GR we found that they have send 85 qty and sometimes we finished GR and Invoice then we get to know later that qty was less.
Return process
- Create return PO with Returns check in PO (NB)
- Create delivery , Vl10B
- PGI
- Credit memo
is this right process?
Thanks
ShreeSlight change in your return process.
Your Return process.
Return process
- Create return PO with Returns check in PO (NB)
- Create delivery , Vl10B
- PGI
- Credit memo
Correct process :
- Create return PO with Returns check in PO (NB)
-GR with 161 MVT type
- Create delivery , Vl10B
- PGI
- Credit memo
Returns :
Case 1 - At the time of GR
Case 2 - GR and Invoice both done
You can follow same process to the both scenarios as you are creating new PO for returns. -
Procurement scenario with delivery Schedule
Hello experts,
In this case we have a purchase order that count with Delivery Schedule, in this case 4 planned deliveries, every one with this specific delivery date and Quantity.
Now we going to create an Inbound delivery and the goods receipt, only for the first Delivery Schedule (it means 3 delivery schedules are pending to happen). When we verify in the Purchase order history, only show a partial Goods receipt (in this case corresponding with the first delivery schedule).
Now we are going to verify in EM (/SAPTRX/EH_LIST) and the event handler show the events as executed complete, but in the reality, we have still pending 3 Delivery schedule to make.
In this case we have a difference between SAP ECC and SAP EM, because in SAP ECC the system show the event in u201Cpartially executedu201D, and in EM the event itu2019s in status of Closed.
It represent a problem of visibility cause I can´t see complete, an event that is still in progress.
An additional question it´s about the visualization in /SAPTRX/EH_LIST transaction, in this case we have the detail at -> Purchase order / position.
It´s posible to see -> Purchase order / position / delivery schedule. I mean at delivery schedule level?
In the following link you can see the description made with images for more clarity:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/zx3w6o
I appreciate a lot your help with this issue.
Best regards,
Julián.Hello Julian,
if you want to track on schedule line level an option would be create EH also on schedule line level.
This would be a complete new visibility process.
Another option is to create an own rule activity fo the status handling. There you could check if all events for the inbound deliveries for the assigned schedules are already received. If not you could create a new status like partially delivered.
This would need only some enhancements in the rule set.
Best regards,

Hi All,
Could somebody please explain the need for the above mentioned chain of documents with reference to LES in R/3.
What is the essence of each one of them: Sales Order>Delivery>Shipment
Where does a transfer order fit in between the three?
regards,
SudhirHi
This is basic process of shippment of goods to customer from Sales side:
Sales Order --> Delivery --> Shipment
Sales Order: The sales order is a contractual agreement between a sales organization and a sold-to party about delivering products or providing a service for defined prices, quantities and times.
In sales order processing, the system implements various functions:
In the sales order, functions such as pricing and printouts are available. The system checks whether the material is available for the requested delivery date and if necessary, transfers the requirements to materials planning. Shipping deadlines and shipping points are determined in delivery scheduling.
Delivery: the outbound delivery supports all shipping activities including picking, packing, transportation and goods issue. During the outbound delivery process, shipping-planning information is recorded, status of shipping activities is monitored and data accumulated during shipping processing is documented. When the outbound delivery is created, the shipping activities, such as picking or delivery scheduling, are initiated, and data that is generated during shipping processing is included in the delivery.

When the outbound delivery is created, the shipping activities, such as picking or delivery scheduling, are initiated, and data that is generated during shipping processing is included in the delivery.
Shipping: Shipping is an important part of the logistics chain in which guaranteed customer service and distribution planning support play major roles.
In shipping processing, all delivery procedure decisions can be made at the start of the process by:
Taking into account general business agreements with your customer
Recording special material requests
Defining shipping conditions in the sales order
Transfer order will come to into picture, if storage location is warehouse managed, from the same storage location, if you need to delivery the goods to Customer. This activity will start once delivery is created and before POst Goods Issue.
Hope it helps.

How to Import an Order via Order Import with multiple shipment lines?
Good Morning,
I have a question concerning Oracle's order import functionality. We are importing orders from an outside system and need to consolidate orders by customer id. So if the same customer places 2 orders for different items on the outside system, they should interface to Oracle as a single order to that customer with a shipment line for each ordered item (ex 1.1, 2.1..).
I know this can be done, but do not know how to implement the solution.
Can someone please help?
Thank you!!

I guess that this zip-file contains a transport. This transportfiles have to be copied in the /usr/trans/data und /usr/trans/cofiles and imported by the transaction STMS.
Thomas Jung wrote how to do this in this: How to import examples from book "Advanced BSP Programming"
Perhaps your basis administrator can help you to do this?

Load a sales order with delivery date in the past
Hi,
We want to load in the system a sales order with delivery date in the past, and maintain the schedule delivery date in the past. To do that, in the customizing Sales And Distribution / Basic Functions / Delivery Scheduling and Transportation Scheduling / Define Scheduling By Sales Document Type, I selected the flag Blackwards. But the problem is that the rest of the dates in the scredule line: goods issue date, loading date, material avail.date and transportation Plan Date, are in blank and you cannot enter any data because the system deletes it.
How can I have these dates informed with dates in the past?
Thanks in advance,You can control this using the "Message Control" in the SAP IMG.
Supplier Relationship Management>SRM Server>Cross-Application Basic Settings>Message Control>Influence Message Control
Using this you convert Error to Warning or even swith off this message.
Please refer this thread for complete steps:

Scheduling Agreement with Delivery Orders
Hi,
When i create (LZM)scheduling agreement(Qty 10) with Delivery orders, when i create deklivery schedule
ie
Date Qty
25.10.2008 1
26.10.2008 1
27.10.2008 1
in MD04 for that particular material i can see only requirement for cumulative Qty i.e. 3, & PP guy is not able to create planned order for those dates unless i create delivery Order(TAM) for the same
whats the solution for this?
Regards,
Amol.Hi Suresh
The *** issued qty gets updated when the PGI for the delivery happens. There is a field called *** received by customer and it gets updated when customer sends the *** back in the 830 or 862 as the case may be.
The difference between the *** issued and the *** recieved is always shown in transit.
If you do not want the schedule line to be opened up, then in *** recd change it to the *** issued or ideal option is populate the last delivery PGI'd on the delivery number field next to *** recd field. Hope this helps and let me know if you need any more informataion

Issue on Purchase order creation with Delivery schedule line items per PR
Hi
Note->Developed inbound FM to create PO's in SAP through IDOC.
We are creating purchase orders from vendor which is coming from Inbound IDOC. Here we are using as BAPI_PO_CREATE1
to create PO's. before that i am passing all the inbound data of the IDOC and getting some Purchase requisions for plant and material wise from EBAN table where we have open PR's and split the inbound line item qauntity as per Open quantity in Purchase requisions. Problem here we are modifing schdule line data as per purcahse requisitions and post the all the shehduline data into above functional module, we are using creation date as delivery date in the scheduling line for each line.
Set1- If we have multiple requisions for each material and plant in the inbound IDOC item , while creating PO using above BAPI
creating PO with delivery date is taken from Purchase requesion date, this only will happend in the first schudle line item always, second line scheulde has taken correctly from creation data as delivery date.
Set2-If we have one requisition for each line item, it will creating correctly for schulding line item as with correct delivery , whcih is not taken from requstion delivery date.
Set 2 is working correctly, but Set1 has problem with delivery date in the scheduling lines particulary for first schduling line item.
Please help me on this issue.
Advance wishesHi Satish
Thanks for the reply.
I checked the parameters and it is creating 2 PO when the Indicator Ordering address is set.If I uncheck this Indicator then only one PO is created.
But now my question is from where is the Ordering address taken because for both line items Vendor is same and ordering address is also same.
Then why the system is creating new PO?

I purchased an album with 11 tracks from the Store. When the download was complete, I edited the name to make it easier for me to find. I then synced my iPod and iPad with the new album. However I found that one of the tracks was defective and after writing to the support community, a second download was setup and this fixed the bad track. I was surprised that when the track downloaded, it went to the track with the new name. However it works perfectly on my computer. For some reason, the iPod and iPad have synced a few times but the track for this album on these is the original track with the defect and this has not fixed, though there have been multiple times that it has synced. The laptop with its corrected track works fine.
The message from support told me to be sure that the software on my laptop was the current version and I did correct this before getting that corrected download. However I notice that my iPod says that it has the latest version and won't check for an update until 2/24.
Can you help me figure this out. I thought if I could delete this track off the iPod and iPad that it would sync the correct version, but I can't see how to delete these.
Thanks for any help you can offer.Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the problem tracks from your iTunes library, close and then reopen iTunes, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the "Report a problem" links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

Is it possible in iTunes 11 to get the old album list view, with covers and track listings like in 10?
If not, then to me that is a huge retrograde stepNo, the old album list view is not an option in iTunes 11...
You can restore much of the look & feel of the previous version with these shortcuts:
ALT to temporarily display the menu bar
CTRL+B to show or hide the menu bar
CTRL+S to show or hide the sidebar
CTRL+/ to show or hide the status bar (won't hide for me on Win XP)
Click the magnifying glass top right and untick Search Entire Library to restore the old search behaviour
Use View > Hide <Media Kind> in the cloud or Edit > Preferences > Store and untick Show iTunes in the cloud purchases to hide the cloud items. The second method eliminates the cloud status column (and may let iTunes start up more quickly)
If you don't like having different coloured background & text in the Album view use Edit > Preferences > General and untick Use custom colours for open albums, movies, etc.
If you still feel the need to roll back to iTunes 10.7 first download a copy of the 32 bit installer or 64 bit installer as appropriate, uninstall iTunes and supporting software, i.e. Apple Application Support & Apple Mobile Device Support. Reboot. Restore the pre-upgrade version of your library database as per the diagram below, then install iTunes 10.7.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to scan the media folder and catch up with any changes made since the backup file was created.

"system overload" in logic pro 8 on my Mac Pro with only three tracks
I am running Logic Pro 8, on a 2.66 Quad Core Mac Pro w/ only 1GB of RAM. I have not had the money for the much needed ram upgrade, yet.
The day before yesterday I opened a project I had opened many times, with only three tracks - two audio and a midi synth with only a few notes. These tracks are fairly well plugin-ed up, but this Mac Pro has always eaten them up, no problems. When I tried to play the project, I got system overloads every 2 seconds, rather precisely actually. My CPU usage reads low in logic and with iStat, but suddenly it peaks to 100% on my third core and I get the system overload.
I had my buffer size at 128, so I switched it to 1024, it worked, and then I switched it back again and everything worked like it used to!
But now I have to go through this slightly illogical little procedure everytime I open a project. I have read threads here about this subject before, back I cant seem to apply them / understand them in relation to my particular situation.
any ideas?Join the club...wait for them to patch/update it.
I've tried the various work arounds, sometimes they work temporarily, sometimes not at all.
For the overloads the most reliable "work around" is to select each track, open the VI/FX modules associated with that track, then close them, go to the next track and repeat the process. OR, if you know all the modules (VI/FX) you're using, just open each one. This will "initialize" their existance BEFORE the audio engine hits them in playback.
My guess is LP8 tries to reduce it's memory foot print and does NOT initialize all the VI/FX in a saved project that is just opened until it actually needs to use them -- a good idea one would think. However, when you do your playback and it hits the VI/FX for the first time (after you just opened your saved project) it appears the audio engine stalls waiting for the VI/FX to initialize the 1st time around and hence the overloads error. Obviously I can't prove this since I don't have access to the code, but I'm a developer and this would be my logical guess based on the evidence at hand.
I can reproduce the problem consistently:
1. Start LP8
2. Open existing project with 3 tracks (staggered to start a different times) with different VI on each track
3. Have 3 buses with a different FX on each bus
4. Do nothing other than hit Play
Overload when it hits start of 1st track VI, stop, restart, overloads when it hits start point of 2nd track VI, stop restart, overloads when it hits start point of 3rd track.
Why wasn't something this obvious caught in testing? Good question.
Rob.
