ISE with Proxy Server (internet explorer)

Hi guys.
I´m implementing a Cisco ISE in customer now and I have the follow state:
AUTHENTICATION
mab > wired_mab OR wireless_mab > default network protocos > internal endpoints
employee > wired_802.1x OR wireless_802.1x > Radius Server Sequence
Guest > Default network protocols > internal users.
AUTHORIZATION
Guest IF ActivatedGuest Then PermitAccess (vlan L2)
employee_wired_wifi IF Workstation AND (Wireless_802.1X AND Wired_802.1X AND Session:PostureStatus EQUALS Compliant )
then PERMIT_ALL_TRAFFIC
employee_pre_compliant IF Workstation AND (Wireless_802.1X AND Wired_802.1X AND Session:PostureStatus NOT_EQUALS Compliant )
And others configurations to Smartphones (android and apple) for example.
I configured the CLIENT PROVISIONING like this:
employee_win IF any AND windows all AND conditions any Then WebAgent 4.9.0.24
SO, this configuration permit the scenario bellow:
IF employee have NacAgent software installed - the communication happens and posture initiate.
IF employee don´t have the NacAgent, Open Internet Browser and redirect page start to WebAgent provisioning.
This work. BUT to redirect the user to provisioning URL, I have to disable de proxy configurations in (Settings>Internet Options>Connections>Lan Settings).
There are some kind of configuration that permit the Redirec Provisioning URL with internet proxy configured???
PS: Also, do not work with I configured the ISE Ip adress in "proxy exceptions".

Does the blue coat support anything such as transparent proxy? Ironport does this in a way that when it is integrated with Active Directory it can find the user to ip mapping and set the condition on the fly without redirecting users for authentication.

URL issue with Windows 7 Internet Explorer 11 and SAP NW PI 7.

I am facing a strange issue with Windows 7 - Internet Explorer 11 and SAP NW java services (I hope I am in the correct discussion) ...
When I try to open URL http://sapserver.hosters-name:port it is working so far with Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 11.
But when I click than on NWA (example), I am getting "http 500 server error".
I don't have the issue, when I start-up a VMware Workstation with Windows XP and Internet Explorer 8.
But now the strange part: In our network DNS (Domain Name Service), we can also open the URL by http://sapserver.our-dns:port.
Than it is working without problems with Windows 7 and Internet Explorer.
I would agree to state the comment - it is just a Windows 7/Internet Explorer 11 issue, if it wouldn't work for both URLs (http://sapserver.hosters-name:port = problem URL; http://sapserver.our-dsn:port = working).
We are using a SAP NW PI 7.x system. Some URLs for PI are using http://sapserver.hosters-name:port/java service.
Do you have any hints what is cause the issue - I suspect some with Internet Explorer and Firefox (because with Google Chrome at least the URL for NWA is opened, beside the issue, Google Chrome can't display NWA content)?

Hi all,
I think I found the solution.
The reason seems to be, the domain name for http://sapserver.our-dns:port, "our-dns" was already added to the compatibility view settings of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
That seemed to be the reason, why it was working with http://sapserver.our-dns:port.
When I now added for http://sapserver.hosters-name:port the domain "hosters-name" to the compatibility view settings it is now working.
Internet Explorer Options => Settings for compatibility view => Add domain

Jumpy scroll wheel control with mouse. Only with Firefox, not Internet explorer.Even pushing the scroll wheel and trying to adjust for a smooth easy scroll the text stops and starts. Problem fixed itself when I updated to 6. 0.2 from an older version but the problem returned after about a week.. The problems go away when I go to web site and scroll but is back when I return to my home page (mozilla firefox)

Good post, and glad to hear you had a solid transition. Mine went well too, though I think I beat the rush.
It's worth noting that the vast and overwhelming majority of headaches people were experiencing were related to download and activation servers (as well as credit check servers for some mobile carriers) being crushed and overwhelmed.
To give you an idea of just how crushed, here are some numbers. In the last year, something in the neighborhood of 8 million iPhones have been sold. That's just shy of 22,000 per day. So the typical traffic is around 22,000 times a day, someone is hitting the server for update/activation.
This weekend, Apple sold 1 million iPhones. In other words, 333,333 phones per day. Holy crap!
As if that wasn't enough, there are 8 million of us out there with the first generation iPhone. Not only do we need to download the new firmware, but we have to install it. The installation process requires hitting the activation server again, to validate the phone. Mind you, not everybody upgraded this weekend, but a few million did. For the sake of argument, we'll assume that's 1 million a day. So, instead of the normall traffic of 22K phones a day, those activation servers got SLAMMED with 1.33 million activations per day.
It ***** that some people had delays and hiccups and a hard time and everything, but completely understandable. With luck things will run more smoothly from here on out.

JAX-WS client - WebLogic - SSL with proxy server

I'm having trouble communicating with webservices using certificate authentication (weblogic.wsee.jaxws.sslclient.PersistentSSLInfo) through and going through a proxy server (weblogic.wsee.jaxws.proxy.ClientProxyFeature) .
If communication with the webservice is done directly (no proxy server) everything happens perfectly, but to set the proxy server I get the exception "BAD_CERTIFICATE." it is as if the certificate was not attached in the request.
The webservice client was generated by JDeveloper.
Has anyone experienced this problem?

To answer the post title FireFox save all downloads automatically in the download folder, which you can find in the Documents folder. If you want to choose where to save your downloads go to tools>options>check always ask me where to save files.
Secondly, I am assuming you have IE 8 installed as this is the only version that supports this fix that is currently not in beta. Go to control panel>internet options>advanced tab and reset the settings at the bottom. This may or may not fix the problem but it is a good first step.

PDF printing with proxy server

Hello,
I installed Apex 3.0.1 and configured it for pdf printing using OC4J and Apache FOP. The OC4J process is running on the same server as the database. I used localhost as hostname and 8888 as port.
Everything works fine, however, when I specify a proxy server in the Application Definition, the pdf printing stops working ... I suppose this is because the print server is now located through the proxy server and this doesn't work ... But, I need to configure the proxy server because I want to use an external web service ...
Anyone else that has this problem and knows of a possible workaround ?

Well, in my case this is not an option, since I used a demo host and domain name which can't be resolved through the proxy server ... If only there was an option to skip the proxy server for localhost settings (like there is in Internet Explorer).

Outlook 2011 Connection Issue with Proxy Server after 10.8 Upgrade

Hello,
After upgrading my MBA to 10.8, my MS Outlook (Outlook Mac 2011) mail connection does not work for an exchange based mail account where a VPN/proxy server combination is involved. This was not an issue at all under 10.7. What's interesting is that it's not an issue with MS Outlook 2010 on my Parallels VM either under 10.8. There are no internet connectivity issues, I am able to connect to the internet using Safari and other browsers. Any help would be appreciated.

I was having a similar problem using Outlook 2011 running under Mountain Lion (10.8.2) on an MacBook Pro. When at work, behind our proxy server, I could not get Outlook to connect to a client's public Exchange server, but this worked fine without changing any settings when I was connected to our DMZ network or at home (no proxy server in these cases). My MacBook was configured to use "Auto Proxy Configuration", and Safari worked fine in all three locations (as did Apple mail)
Today, the Microsoft Office auto-updater downloaded an update, and since it was installed, the problem has been fixed and I've been able to connect to our client's external Exchange server event when behind our local proxy server (Outlook now reports that the latest installed update is 14.2.5)

Basically what's happening is that the secure services aren't
loading when I pull up the website when using Internet Explorer.
The website works perfect in FireFox and Safari however nothing
loads via the HTTP services when they use SSL. I've read over Lin
Lin's article

about using SSL with IE however I'm confused as how to implement
the changes she mentions. She basically mentions a couple of the
reasons why the httpServices wouldn't be able to load data in when
connecting via SSL. I've read over the Adobe TechNote at
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=fdc7b5c&pss=rss_flashplayer_fdc7b5 c
but this wasn't clear either.
1. How do I change the server settings to have the correct
header information?
2. Can I change something in the Flex Compiler to allow for
SSL and IE?

Ise with proxy

Hi all,
Does anyone implements Cisco ISE with the proxy like Bluecoat ?
After the users authentication and authorization are accepted, mean that they are ready to WWW. but they still need to authenticate with Bluecoat again to access the internet.
Any ideas for this style ?

IMessage/Siri with Proxy-Server

Hello,
Our company used as an AP-Company Data Access (cda.vodafone.de) and in this way brings the IOS devices via a proxy server is online. All applications work fine so far, only Siri and iMessage can not detect internet connection. If we work to configure the device with the standard AP-Vodafone (web.vodafone.de) both services flawlessly. Apparently not support both services set the proxy server. Can someone tell the same experience and there is a solution for this?

Using Lightroom 4 with Proxy Server

I live in a university dorm which requires a proxy server to connect to the internet. Everything else (browser, torrents, skype) all seem to work fine through this connection however I get various error messages when trying to publish, or check or an update in Lightroom.
I'm almost certain it has something to do with the connection because I don't get any of these problems when using another internet source. There don't seem to be any proxy or internet connection settings in Lightroom so any ideas on what I can try?

I need help with this same issue. Need a way to tell Lightroom to use a proxy for Email.
Anyone have any advice?

Communication problem with proxy server

We have establish the configuration of an iPad to access the enterprise net, but when trying to access any webpage we get the next message: Safari can not open the page. Error:"There is a communication problem with proxy web server (HTTP)"
The access has no problems with other movile devices.

I am not sure whether you have already solved the problem or not....
Do the following to deploy MobileBIService.war file on tomcat
1.Stop Tomcat Web application server.
2.Copy the file, MobileBIService.war from [Install directory]\Mobile 14\Client to the Tomcat's "Webapps" directory.
In my case, I copied the MobileBIService.war from C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Mobile14\Client to C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Tomcat6\webapps. ( I used BO 4.0 SP02)
3. Start Tomcat.
Restarting Tomcat would automatically deploy war file as a Web App
One folder u201CMobileBiServiceu201D will appear in webapps folder when MobileBIService.war is deployed successfully.

Problem with ACE and Internet Explorer 8

I have a problem with ACE (system A2(1.1)) and Internet Explorer 8.
exactly:
ACE is configured as end-to-end ssl with 2 rserver and with the sticky source address. When user is opening the virtual address from IEv7, the web portal (On Microsoft IIS) works fine.
If user opens the same web portal but using IEv8, the session is suspended after 60 seconds.
I think, that the reason is http keep-allive, which is sending every 60 seconds from the user's internet browser.

Do you have any idea how to resolve this problem: upgrade ACE, change the configuration on IIS or ACE ??

Using a persistent connection or HTTP keepalives should not have any negative effect on the ACE, so, giving you a straight-forward answer to fix it is not going to be easy.
I would recommend you to open a TAC case to have this investigated further. When you do, please, provide the following data:
A showtech from the Admin context of the ACE
A traffic capture taken on the TenGig interface connecting the switch with the ACE backplane while doing a test connection (preferably one with IE7 and one with IE8 to compare)
If possible, a copy of the SSL private key. Being able to decrypt the traffic capture to look inside the HTTP flow would really make troubleshooting much easier.

How do I get Adobe reader to work with Mozilla or internet explorer? I cannot open files unless I download to my desktop.

When I try to read PDF files I get a message that says" The Adobe Acrobat Reader that is running cannot be used to view PDF files in a web browser. Exit and try again. This happens with bot Internet Explorer and Mozilla. I can only open if I download the document to my desktop.
