Issu in selection screen tabstip

Dear all,
i have issue in selection screen tab control, i have 3 tab on screen when i execute the report using 3 tab and come back on selection screen then cursor default move on  first tab, i want to stop control on my current tab.
thanks in advance ,
Abhilash

Hi ,
When we create the Tabs,we set one tab as default by passing the activetab attribute.
So when passing the control back to the tab,we need to set the tab in which user has previously done an action into the " activetab" attribute by either using the cursor properties or any other logic suited to the requirement.
Please Check the Program : DEMO_DYNPRO_TABSTRIP_LOCAL
Hope it Helps

  • Performance Issue with Selection Screen Values

    Hi,
I am facing a performance issue(seems like a performance issue ) in my project.
I have a query with some RKFs and sales area in filters (single value variable which is optional).
Query is by default  restricted by current month.
The Cube on which the query operates has around 400,000 records for a month.
The Cube gets loaded every three hours
When I run the query with no filters I get the output within 10~15 secs.
The issue I am facing is that,  when I enter a sales area in my selection screen the query gets stuck in the data selection step. In fact we are facing the same problem if we use one or two other characteristics in our selection screen
We have aggregates/indexes etc on our cube.
Has any one faced a similar situation?
Does any one have any comments on this ?
Your help will be appreciated. Thanks

    Hi A R,
Goto RSRT--> Give ur query anme --> Execute =Debug
--> No a pop up ill come with many check boxes select "Display Aggregates found" option --> now give ur
selections in variable screen > first it will give the already existing aggregate names> continue> now after displaying all the aggregates it will display the list of objects realted to cube wise> try to copy these objects into notepad> again go with ur drill downs now u'll get the already existing aggregates for this drill down-> it will display the list of objects> copy them to notepad> now sort all the objects related to one cube by deleting duplicate objects in the note pad>goto that Infocube> context>maintain aggregates> create aggregate on the objects u copied into note pad.
now try to execyte the report... it should work properly with out delays for those selections.
    I hope it helps you...
    Regards,
    Ramki.

  • Issue with selection screen element on At slection scree

    Hi All,
I am facing an issue with a checkbox which is present within the subscreen of a standard selection screen.
The issue is that the value of the combobox get toggled by itselfon the event mentioned below. I am unable to find out how this combo box value gets changed by itself on the screen events.I tried clear statemetns etc nothing is helping. I debugged with a watch point on this screen element and found this to happen. It just changes the value of the element to a previously held state.I m trying to clear the combobox but this event puts back the tick mark. How can I stop this.
AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON COL_FROM.  "COL_FROM is another screen element diffrent from the combobox
    Thanks

    Hi Vighneswaran CE,
This event corresponds to the PAI module of the COL_FROM field. So, it gets executed each time you press any valid function code on the screen (unless there was an error in a previous field). Nothing abnormal here.
That's difficult to help you on that topic, you'd better tell us exactly what report it is, where you have added your code (and what code) to change the checkbox, ...

  • 0CURRENCY HAVING drop dwon issues at selection screen in BI7.0

    Hi Experts ,
We are working in SAP environment, (ECC 6.0 and BI 7.0).
for our Fin - BI reports , we are trying to implement currnecy conversion for few reports at the dynamic selections.
for that we created currnecy translation type with few variables viz. for 0CURRNECY, Excahnge Rate type & Time, associated.
Now when we make the choices at the selection screen (lets take for 0CURRENCY), our idea is user should be able to pick up any currency at the selection screen if it available as a currency in TCURR table in the source (and extracted in BI).
The issue is at dropping down for 0CURRENCY, they system does not show us full options for currencies available in the system (TCURR table values), upon changing the box , it shows us more options with drill down but still to show full options anyways.
upon looking deeper, i could not really find how 0CURRENCY is set up for the loads in our BI env. as it simply show coming from attributes from the source but still to find how it is getting values from the source system, ( it shows 'owned by SAP'), and i can't think any alternative way of having values coming in BI for 0currnecy ( is there any please?)
I would need help to understand that how 0CURRNECY might get values with alternate ways from source when it is not really set up for any manual/process chain loads ( probably being the master data , and i can't see this being loaded as master data either anywhere).
Also, i would need to understand how i can have full values option while dropping down for 0CURRNECY at selection screen.
Thanks very much for you coperation in this regards in adv.

  • Issue in Selection Screen of ABAP report after executing it using TCode

    Hi,
I have one Z program having a selection screen for it. One selection variable is non editable for the users (has default value) whereas user can enter the value in other selection variable.
To make the first variable non editable, I have used the following code.
    INITIALIZATION.
      LOOP AT SCREEN.
        IF screen-name = 'P_USER'.
          screen-input = 0.
          MODIFY SCREEN.
        ENDIF.
      ENDLOOP.
Now when I execute this program from SE38, it works fine. But when I execute it using a Tcode (assigned in SE93), the first variable also become editable for users.
How can I keep the first variable non editable even after executing the program using a Tcode?
    Regards,
    Yogesh

    Hi,
It seems you create a Transaction type: Dialog transaction.
Delete current transaction and create one with Transaction type: Report transaction (radio button in row 2nd)

I had a custom program. There i have one parameter and one select option. But when i try clicking on multiple selections it is giving me a message in the status bar saying 'Place the cursor on a selection'. And it doesn't opens up the window to enter multiple selections.
When i double clicked on the message i get the message no DB655.
What can be the possible error for this ??
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Regarding Selection-Screen Field Display

    Hi All,
I have issues with Selection-Screen field display.
The Actual issue is i had declared a selection screen field as: <b>s_exgen FOR embk-exgen</b>.
<b>EMBK-EXGEN</b> is actually <b>20</b> Char length field.
But in output display it is being shown as <b>18</b> Char field though i can type in all <b>20</b> characters.
But <b>display</b> restricted to <b>18</b> Characters only.
Can anybody give me the solution for the same!
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Prasad.

    Hi,
You can decrease the visible length of the field but you can not increase more than database field length. check SAP help on this :
    select-options: s_exgen FOR embk-exgen VISIBLE LENGTH 5.
    ... VISIBLE LENGTH vlen
    Effect
This addition allows you to shorten the visible length of the corresponding screen field on the selection screen to vlen.
    Variant 2
    SELECT-OPTIONS sel FOR (f).
    Additions as in variant 1.
    Effect
In this variant, (f) must be a field containing the name of the actual reference field at runtime. The system creates the LOW and HIGH fields as character fields with length 45. However, their appearance on the selection <b>screen is inherited from the reference field whose name is contained in field f at runtime.</b>

  • User defined selection screen sequence

    Hello Everyone,
I have a kind of an issue with selection screens. Story goes like this. I have a main sel.screen (no 1000) where I have some selection list. Now based on this selection i display another sel.screen (with my given number, let's say 9000). Then i fill selection criterion on screen 9000 press F8 and I get results. So far so good. Now when i 'back' button system displays the first, initial sel.screen (1000) instead of the last displayed (9000). I've tried to modify this behaviour and I am able to display the last sel.screen (9000) after pressing 'back' button but then when i press 'F8' instead of results I get initial sel.screen (1000) again. Is there anything I could do to make it work in the way I want to ?

Ok so let me present the code (or at least the most important parts) as Selva asked because using 'set screen 0' did not help. it is possible that I used it in wrong place so even more presenting code should help:

so as i mentioned before when i press 'back' on alv list I end up with screen 1000 instead 1004 (it's 1004 in real life not 9000). when i tried to change i was able to display 1004 selection when i pressed 'back' on alv but then instead of getting new list system takes ma back to 1000 scr again

Execute the program and click on the second tab-page. Now, click on the 'Execute' button or press F8 (there is no specific functionality coded here).
The issue now is that the first tab-page is displayed, instead of the second tab remaining displayed. I require the navigation to remain within the second tab-page after the EXECUTE button is clicked.
Could someone help me out with this issue?

    Hi,
Go through below document with example code.
    It will help you.
    Tabstrip Controls on Selection Screens
As with screens, you can now use tabstrip controls on selection screens. To do this, you must define a tabstrip area and the associated tab pages, and assign a subscreen to the tab pages. You do not have to (indeed, cannot) declare the tabstrip control or program the screen flow logic in your ABAP program, since both are automatically generated.
To define a tabstrip area with tab pages, use the following statements in your selection screen definition:
SELECTION-SCREEN: BEGIN OF TABBED BLOCK <tab_area> FOR <n> LINES,
                      TAB (<len>) <tab1> USER-COMMAND <ucom1>
                                  [DEFAULT [PROGRAM <prog>] SCREEN <scrn>],
                      TAB (<len>) <tab2> USER-COMMAND <ucom2>
                                  [DEFAULT [PROGRAM <prog>] SCREEN <scrn>],
                      END OF BLOCK <tab_area>.
This defines a tabstrip control <tab_area> with size <n>. The tab pages <tab1>, <tab2>… are assigned to the tab area. <len> defines the width of the tab title. You must assign a function code <ucom> area to each tab title. You can find out the function code from the field SY-UCOMM in the AT SELECTION-SCREEN event.
For each tab title, the system automatically creates a character field in the ABAP program with the same name. Before the selection screen is displayed, you can assign a text to the field. This then appears as the title of the corresponding tab page on the selection screen.
You must assign a subscreen to each tab title. This will be displayed in the tab area when the user chooses that title. You can assign one of the following as a subscreen:
A subscreen screen defined using the Screen Painter.
A selection screen subscreen, defined in an ABAP program.
You can make the assignment either statically in the program or dynamically at runtime. If, at runtime, one of the tab titles has no subscreen assigned, a runtime error occurs.
    Static assignment
Use the DEFAULT addition when you define the tab title. You can specify an ABAP program and one of its subscreens. If you do not specify a program, the system looks for the subscreen in the current program. When the user chooses the tab title, it is activated, and the subscreen is assigned to the tabstrip area. The static assignment is valid for the entire duration of the program, but can be overwritten dynamically before the selection screen is displayed.
    Dynamic assignment
For each tab area, the system automatically creates a structure in the ABAP program with the same name. This structure has three components – PROG, DYNNR, and ACTIVETAB. When you assign the subscreens statically, the structure contains the name of the ABAP program containing the subscreen, the number of the subscreen, and the name of the tab title currently active on the selection screen (and to which these values are assigned). The default active tab page is the first page. You can assign values to the fields of the structure before the selection screen is displayed, and so set a subscreen dynamically.
If you assign a normal subscreen screen to a tab title, the dialog modules containing its flow logic must be defined in the current ABAP program. If the subscreen is a selection screen, user actions will trigger the AT SELECTION-SCREEN event and its variants (see Selection Screen Processing). This includes when the user chooses a tab title. If one selection screen is included on another, AT SELECTION-SCREEN will be triggered at least twice – firstly for the "included" selection screen, then for the selection screen on which it appears.

This program defines two selection screens – 100 and 200, as subscreens, and places a tabstrip control area with three tab pages on the standard selection screen. A subscreen screen 300 (from the same program) is assigned statically to the third tab page.
The layout of screen 300 is:
The input/output fields P1 to Q3 are defined by using the parameters from the ABAP program The pushbutton has the function code TOGGLE.
The screen flow logic for screen 300 is as follows:
    PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
      MODULE init_0100.
    PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
      MODULE user_command_0100.
Both dialog modules are defined in the ABAP program.
When you run the program, the standard selection screen appears. In the INITIALIZATION event, the texts are defined on the tab titles, the subscreen selection screen 100 is assigned to the tab area, and the first tab title is activated.
User actions on the selection screen are processed in the AT SELECTION-SCREEN event block. In particular, it is here that the subscreens are assigned and tab titles activated when the user chooses one of the first two tab titles. This is not necessary for the third tab title, since the dynamic assignment (screen 300) is always placed in the structure MYTAB when the user chooses it.
Before the subscreen screen is displayed, the PBO module INIT_100 is executed. User actions on the subscreen screen trigger the PAI module. This includes when the user chooses a tab title. After that, the AT SELECTION-SCREEN event is triggered.
Messages in the status line show where an action has been processed.

  • At selection- screen output issue

    Hi,
I have a issue regarding at selection-screen output event with radio buttons,
    Fields are like,
    Block B1
      RB1
    Block B2
    RB2
       field 1 (Check box)
       field 2 (Check box)
User can select one radio button at a time. If the user clicks on radio button RB1 then fields under Block B2 will be disabled. If user click on RB2 field 1 and fields 2 will be input enabled. Could you please give the solution asap
Note: Radio buttons are in different selection screen blocks.

    Check this code -
*SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF BLOCK B WITH FRAME.
    *PARAMETERS:
    *Pi1 TYPE C  RADIOBUTTON GROUP G1 DEFAULT 'X',
    *Pi2 TYPE CHAR25,
    *Pi3 TYPE C  RADIOBUTTON GROUP G1,
    *Pi4 TYPE CHAR25.
    *SELECTION-SCREEN END OF BLOCK B.
    *PARAMETERS check AS CHECKBOX.
*PARAMETERS show_all AS CHECKBOX USER-COMMAND flag.

  • Issue with BEx selection screen

    Hi Gurus,
We recently upgraded from BW 3.5 to 7.0. After the upgrade, while running the BEx queries the selection screen is not popping up and the query runs without the selections in it. Then the report errors out.... " Error Specify a value for variable XXXX".
Apparently, the query runs fine with selection when executed on WEB.
Did anyone of you come across with this issue..
    Thanks
    James.

    Hi Guys
Run your query without the variable ,Try by removing the restrcition , if it is working fine without the variable then
I would suggest to check your  variable once again like
Check if 'Ready for input' check is checked for the respective variable,
Remove the restriction ( drag out the variable )
check your variable once again with all the setting and variable type
OR create a new varilable, if it is a customer exit type then check ABAP code written for populating values.
let me know if this helps,
    cheers

  • Issue with CALL SELECTION-SCREEN

    Hi experts,
I am working on a report.
Here on the selection screen , based on the selection of some radiobuttons ,i want to call a secondary selection screen.
So i am using the following program code ,
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN on BLOCk blk.
    IF p_abc  =  c_x.
        CALL SELECTION-SCREEN 100 STARTING AT 20 5.
        IF sy-subrc <> 0.
          MESSAGE text-011 TYPE c_e .
        ENDIF.
      ENDIF.
so currently , once i complete my slection on the screen 100 , the popup screen stays there and rest of the programing logic is executed correctly.
My issue is that , once i complete my slection on the screen 100, i want that the pop up should be closed
And then the the rest of the program logic should continue.
please guide me how ,this can be done.
    Regards,
    Rajesh Kumar.

    Hi
The event AT SELECTION-SCREEN and AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON BLOCK  are very similar, only the second event see the part of selection-screen defined in the block.
This events are triggered as soon as the user does something: so press ENTER, F8,........
If u want the second-selction screen is shown once and the main selection-screen has to be displayed under the second one, u can try to run the second one only if the report has to run, so if the user has pressed F8, code ONLI.
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN on BLOCk blk.
    CHECK SY-UCOMM = 'ONLI'.
    IF p_abc = c_x.
      CALL SELECTION-SCREEN 100 STARTING AT 20 5.
      IF sy-subrc 0.
         MESSAGE text-011 TYPE c_e .
      ENDIF.
    ENDIF.
In tihs way the rest of the program will be executed, else u need to move all code of the event START-OF-SELECTION and END-OF-SELECTION in the event AT SELECTION-SCREEN, or, just as I said before, to move the calling of POPUP to event START-OF-SELECTION.

  • SAP Query selection screen issues after ECC upgrade

    Hi all
We have a custom query created and assigned to a custom transaction code, which after upgrade to ECC 6.0 we find that the selection screen layout is different from what was available in 4.6C system.
All the fields required are available.
However, the sequence of the fields on the screen is different from the 4.6C after the upgrade.
Can anyone help identify the issue so that the issue can be resolved?
    Thanks
    Vinodh S

    Hi N_niki
There is no resolution as such.
We had raised a Customer message with SAP and were informed that this was expected as the procedure to execute the reports was changed in ECC when compared to 4.6 (technical changes) and hence this issue shall remain for some queries wherein the old changes need to be brought back using an option in the SAP Query.
Please refer to SAP Note # 723577 which could provide a better explanation for the issue.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks
    Vinodh Sudhakaran
