Issue in CAT2 transaction layout of table control need to be changed .Urge

Hi experts .
I am working in SAP upgrade project from 4.6 c to ECC .
I have an issue in CAT2 where after entering the WBS element and the Personnel number .
The screen shows as Send function /Sendr func area / Sender grant ..
I need to have Receiver WBS Element, then Rec.Order, then A/A, then Name, then name, then all the actual individual days should display in sequence for entry of hours. Please suggest as to where the changes need to be done for getiing this layout.
Please do let me know if any suggestions ..

Entert TC- CAT2
Select your Data Entry Profile and in Personnel Selection area in right corner you will see one table with yellow -blue colour click on that.
In maintain variant box, give a name to variant and click on create button, then click on Administrator tab and screen will take you to Edit system setting screen- here you can define your setting and which ever you don't want put check in checkbox in Invisible column.

Issue with number of lines in Table control for an web transaction in ITS

We have acustom web transaction ZC03 where we have used table controls. Recently a kernal patch has been installed and after that the number of lines appearing in table control has got changed. Earlier table control was coming with 5 lines and presently its coming with 3 lines. Can you please help me to fix the issue.
The code used in HTML template for table controi is given below:

What where the precise Kernel updates? What where you on and what did you upgrade too?

Add fields to CAT2 data entry area table control

Hi All,
I have a requirement where in I need to add a column after every day ( Moday , Tuesday.. ) in CAT2 to enable the user to enter short text description for the time entry accountabiity. For this I will have to add 7 additional columns to the table control of the data entry area one beside each day. The description entered by the user should be updated in the database.
I am thinking of using screen exit CATS0012. But not very sure how to go about it.

Thanks Ankush. I am going for the CATS0005 option. I have created a customer project TSHEET within an existing PS package on the system. The system prompted me to obtain a transport number which I guess will attach the new project to the package in future.
Could you advise further on how to do this in practise? My instructions say 'on the initial project administration screen select the Enhancement components field and choose Change. In fact there appear to be 2 options - either Components or Enhancements assignement. If I choose Enhancements assignment I am prompted to enter the name of an exit. I entered CATS0005 as I have to bring this into the customer project somehow. Within package MY_CATS_INTERFACE appeared however CATS0005 was not recognised within this package. Likewise CI_CATSDB was not recognised.

Issue while vertical scrolling in the table control

Hi,
i have my table control which can show 14 entries at a time. and i have almost 100 entries in table control.
now if i selected 2 entries in the visible part.
now scroll vertically.
again come back to see the selected records now they are unselected.

STEP 1: Create an internal table with field for selection in table.
STEP 2: Assign the selection field in the table control for the line selection.
STEP 3: Now whenever the line is selected, the selection field will have a field 'X'.
STEP 4: In PAI Modify the table fields those are selected with 'X'.
STEP 5: Set a flag in PAI, flag = 'X'.
STEP 6: In PBO set a condition . " We set a flag so that we fetch the data only once.
If flag NE 'X'.

Issue with selecting a line on table control

Hello Experts,
We have a table control and using w/ SelColumn for selecting the highlighted line on a table control. It's working fine sometimes but not working in other cases. It's really wierd.
On this screen, under the Table Control, we have provided Bottons do some functionality.
When the users select a row and click on this push button, it has to call another pop-up screen.
We have the code like this:

Provide a Check box for that table control. Declare that Check box field as Type c in Main program. Go to screen PAI module write code for deleting that lines by clicking one button using sy-ucomm. Delete it where is_chk = 'X'..like try

Reg : Table control row settings to change mode

Hi geeks.
 I am working on a requirement where the table control has to be in display mode at the time of prepopulating(initial display).This works fine and could get all columns in display mode for which i used column properties of table control. I could select a row from the table control and created a button above the table control for copy of the row which is added to the last row of the TC. I could get this with out any issues. They want the added row to be in changed mode whereas the other rows selected previously should remain in the display mode. Can anybody help me out to solve.Timely help will be appreciated <removed by moderator>

Plz help me out. In a table control there r 7 fields and only one field is editable. When i change the status of a record as delete in tat table control, only the deleted record (all fields)should become non-editable. Is it possible? Pls suggest.

you should be using a step loop like this :

Need to add 2 new columns to the existing table control of C223 transaction

Hi ABAP Gurus,
I have to do a screen enhancement for transaction C223.
Below is the requirement:
need to add 2 new columns to the existing table control of C223 transaction.
there is no customer exits, screen exit or user exit present for this transaction C223, i have found one enhancement spot for this transaction.
i dont have any idea how to do this in standard transaction C223, the table control in C223 saves the data to MKAL table and the table control uses the structure MKAL_EXPAND in the screen program.
i have created an append structure for the 2 fields to the standard table MKAL.
Can anyone please suggest me how this can be done in standard screen C223, will the enhancement spot can be used to do this....

the BADI definition present here is a SAP internal so we cant implement the BADI , but we can created a enhancement spot implementation for this. as per my understanding on this the enhancement spot is only for making the table control fields display / change . i dont think this can be used to add two new coloumns to C223 table control.
I am not sure thats why seeking your help/valuable sugestion on this.
Please provide your sugestion on this , so that i can come to conclusion on this issue.

How to delete record from table control in BDC?

I have recorded from SHDB in which first record will be delete.
So, when i loop through t_itab,instead of deleting MQ100001,MQ100004 and MQ100008 from BDC screen,
it is deleting MQ100001,MQ100002 and MQ100004 (first record for each process ).
Which i don't want to.
Is there any facility in BDC to put records on top which i want to delete?

Hi,
While doing recording check for Filter button available for the table control, if it available then do the recording for the same.
Once it is done while passing the data from internal table put the value into Filter field.

Regarding page down in the table control veritcally

Hi all,
 I have an issue regarding page down in the Table control in module pool , i.e when i m click the vertical scroll bar and going for page down then , the control is flowing to the next sceen which is not needed , and it shuld just scroll down and up vetically.
Can anyone help me how to handle the page down event ?

A resizable table control called FLIGHTS is defined. The fields of the table control are transferred from the structure DEMO_CONN in the ABAP Dictionary. The first two columns are lead columns. The component MARK of type character with length 1 from structure DEMO_CONN is assigned to the selection column. You can select one column and several lines.

Before the PBO loop, in the module STATUS_0100 the current number of lines of the internal table ITAB is placed in component LINES of control structure FLIGHTS. This helps the system to correctly install the scroll bar of the table control.
During the PBO loop, in the module FILL_TABLE_CONTROL the work area DEMO_CONN is filled with values from the internal table, where the row index corresponds to the current row of the table control.
During the PAI loop, in the module READ_TABLE_CONTROL the current number of the loop SY-LOOPC in the table control is placed an auxiliary variable. The number is dependent on the size of the screen. The rows of the internal table, whose row index corresponds to the current row of the table control, are overwritten with the contents of the work area DEMO_CONN. User input is transferred from the input fields of the control to the internal table. In particular, the internal table also contains a flag in the column MARK to indicate whether the row of the table control is selected or not.
After the PAI loop, user input is processed in the module USER_COMMAND. The GUI status SCREEN_100 provides the appropriate function codes. You can scroll line by line or page by page, or Goto the first or last page. You can implement scrolling by setting the component TOP_LINE of control structure FLIGHTS. For page-by-page scrolling the auxiliary variable that is filled in the PAI loop by SY-LOOPC is used as the step size.

One option is to identify the table and find out the location as the number of row which should be deleted from the table and then in the bdc program instead of postioning the cursor on the row 1(using the statement perform bdc_cursor ....(01)), replace the 01 with the row number.
Second option is that if a filter control is available for the table control, then filter the data each and every time with the material number to be deleted and then delete the first row.

How to make table control rows dynamic/unlimited using TC with Wizard

Hi Friends ,
I have designed a table control layout using table control with wizard.
Now the problem is when we design a TC layout ,then we have to design it on the page . The page has upper & lower limits. so the maximum size & maximum rows in layout is limited. I have tried to create a TC layout with maximum size & maximum rows . Maximum rows created in Layout is 25.
Now suppose if enduser wants 100 entries to enter by coping a file of 100 records in my TC present on entry screen , then ONLY 25 entries are displayed on entry scren before doing any user action or saving and after saving only these 25 entries are sved in DB. Means enrtries from 26 to 100 are not displayed on entry screen or saved in DB.
So my requirement is to display all 100 entries at a time in entry screen before saving with scrolling up & down facility and these 100 entries should also get saved in DB after clicking save button. In short I want dynamic entry screen table control which can show/dieplay Any Number . of entries whatever the number may be entered by enduser .
Plz note that I have used all 3 facilliteis i.e.
1. Scrolling
2. INSERT/DELETE
3. SELECT/DESELECT
while designing TC with wizard .
Scrolling buttons like FIRST PAGE, PREV. PAGE, NEXT PAGE, LAST PAGE are displayed.
BUT they are not functioning though there is system generated code present in both MPP and in PBO & PAI. After clicking any of them , data which is dislaying on entry screen ( Here it is 25 entries ) is getting cleared/disappeared from enry entry screen.

At PAI of screen holding TC , there is module name tc_mark on request .
in this module , there is work area declared g_tc_wa .
Now go to tc_init module of pbo , where u have given your select command .
select * from ........................................
use this code .

   g_tc_wa = 'X'.
   REFRESH CONTROL 'TC' FROM SCREEN dynnr.
   ENDIF.
Just do this , m sure all buttons, insert, delete , scroll bar.. everything will work .

Dynamically changing the value in table control

In MD61 transaction table control am trying to change value dynamicaly i.e am trying to change value in table control automaticaly tht value to be captured and i need to show in status bar...
Ex table control field is number: am giving 10,20,30 tht should show in status bar by adding if u enter 10 at status bar it show 10 then when u enter 20 it should add with 10 and give 30 ..
in this way when ever u enter value in filed it should add with the status bar value.

Table control--BDC

When I am writting BDC for transaction in which table control occurs in the second screen,it is perfectly running when I am testing with the two records in the table control,when I increases the records (200) I am getting the error that Screen is too large for Internal batch Input.

A table control can contain many records, but the no of records you see on the screen is limited. In this case, the table control can hold only 16 records at a time and then we need to enter the page down and fill in more records.
here is the sample code.
