Issue in Infoview Logon with AD Credentials

Hi All,
I have implemented AD Authentication in BOXI3.1 Environment.
Kinit is working fine and Iam able to logon to Desktop Intelligence and Webi Rich Client without any issue.
But iam facing issue when logging into Infoview. I can logon to Infoview with the [email protected], but not with Username without mentioning the Domain name.
Previously there was spaces in my Username such as Test User and then I have renamed it to Test_User and tried but no luck. Getting the below error when i try to logon with Test_User.
Account Information Not Recognized: Active Directory Authentication failed to log you on. Please contact your system administrator to make sure you are a member of a valid mapped group and try again. If you are not a member of the default domain, enter your user name as UserName@DNS_DomainName, and then try again. (FWM 00006)
Enter your user information and click Log On.
(If you are unsure of your account information, contact your system administrator.)
Please let me know what might be the issue causing this error.

Deepika Palani

Hi
Click Start > All Programs > Tomcat > Tomcat Configuration.
Click the Java tab.
Edit the lines beginning Djava.security.auth. and Djava.security.krb5 to include bscLogin.conf and Krb5.ini so they appear as below:
  Djava.security.auth.login.config=<fullpath>\bscLogin.conf
  Djava.security.krb5.conf=<fullpath>\Krb5.ini
Save the changes
Ensure that all mapped groups are correct and present in AD
Ask Network admin to search for any duplicate service principal names in AD.
Also ask him if any change has been made to concerned AD group.
SSO enabled?
When u said u changed to 'Test_User' you mean that you changed name in AD, right?
Are there multiple domains?

  • HELP! Slow logon with Cached Credentials off domain. Have xperf files.

Having issues when you take a corporate laptop off domain and log in using cached credentials. Login times range from 2-4 minutes. This is with SSD. No problem logging in on network. Only way to speed up login off network is disable wireless. I ran
xperf both on network and off network. I have xperf files that can be emailed. Anybody got an idea?

When trying to log in with domain credential offsite, your laptop is trying to contact DC from public Internet before using cached credentials. Without network, it will try cached credentials directly. According with my knowledge, you can't force cached
    credentials, the process is Automatic.
Therefore, the only solution is disconnecting the network cable or using a local user instead.
And this tool in the following link can help you findout exactly what is holding up the login process. You can check the result by youself.

  • Slow logon with domain credentials when not on company network

    Hello,
I have my MacBook Pro bound to the domain. When I am connected to the company network via a network cable, login is at normal speed. If I unplug the network cable, reboot, then try to login it takes minutes to get to my desktop. I'm guessing that it's looking for a domain controller or something. I'm doing this to simulate what it would be like if someone was away from the office.
I have another MacBook Pro that acts the same way.
Our domain is a .local domain. If this is the reason it's taking so long, is there a work around? Or a way to make it go through this process a little faster? Sometimes it takes as long at 2.5 minutes.
    Thanks,
    Josh

I called into Apple support since no one has responded on this.
    He had two suggestions.
    1) Input our domain servers as the DNS servers in Network preferences. This works great except for when I'm wanting to use the Internet. It, of course, doesn't resolve any names to be able to go to websites. (EDIT: What I mean is that when I'm at another location it doesn't resolve names. If I manually input the DNS servers on my ethernet adapter, it will only resolve the name if those servers are available. When I'm not in the office, they aren't available. This speeds the login time up, but causes other issues.)
    2) Change our domain to something different than .local. We just can't do that at this time.
I tried something that appears to work on this MacBook, but on the other one that is having the same problem it doesn't work. I manually input our domain.local in the Search Domains right by the DNS options in network settings. To be honest, I'm not 100% sure what that effects. So maybe it's completely happenstance? I'm not sure why it appears to work on one and not the other. When I say 'work' I mean that it only takes a few seconds to log in rather than minutes.
The only difference between the two is processor speed.
Any thoughts or can someone explain to me what affect manually filling out the Search Domain field would have?

  • Logon with Virtual Smart Card Breaks Run As Administrator

I've been testing the Virtual Smart Card (VSC) capability on a Surface Pro 2 and Dell Latitude E7240.
This may be by design however, I have noticed that if I login using the VSC I am unable to use "Run As Administrator" functionality - for example:
    Command Prompt from Start Screen
    Task Manager
I'm prompted for a username / password or the VSC PIN.
In my environment the Administrative user does not have a VSC, so it is a username/password. When using Run As Administrator I'm therefore always entering a username and password.
Once the credentials are entered the prompt goes away but the application never runs.
If I lock/unlock the session and login using username/password for the non-admin user, instead of the VSC and PIN, I am able to elevate using Run As.
I have noticed that I can use the workaround as specified in this article:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2013976
To work around this issue, start the application using the Run as different user right-click context menu option and select the smart card reader of choice.
Click Start, select Programs, and locate the shortcut item in the Programs menu or the application folder for the application you want to run
Hold down the SHIFT key while you right-click the shortcut item, and select Run as different user.
Enter the username, password and the domain name or choose a smart card logon.
Seems a little odd... maybe I am missing something. If anyone can assist that would be great.

  • SCVMM 2012, Conntect via conosle does not work when logged in with specified credentials

    Hi all
I have a problem with the SCVMM 2012 console. When I start the console I select the "Specify credentials" option and then I enter my admin credentials. Afterward the console opens
and everything works except the "Connect via Console" function.
When I try to connect to a VM I get the following message:
Virtual Machine Manager lost the connection to the virtual machine for one of the following reasons: Another connection was established to the console of this machine. The virtual machine has been shut down or put into the saved state. The user credentials
provided do not have the necessary privilege to connect (0x0003, 0x0300)
It seems that the Virtual Machine Viewer runs not under the admin credentials which I enter at the beginning and therefore the console cannot connect.
Has someone the same issue ? Is it by design that the console connection does not work with specified credentials or is a sort of a bug or error ?
    Thx
    J0fe

Being new to SCVMM, I've just come across this issue myself, though I came to a different (not necessarily better, but good enough for me) resolution.
I have a somewhat convoluted but not abnormal configuration where the SCVMM server lives in a separate untrusted forest to that which the Hyper-V Server hosts live.
As people have noted in this and other threads, the VirtualMachineViewer.exe process launches in the same security context with which you logged onto your pc. While the VmmAdminUI.exe process also runs in the same security context,
the network logon it issues makes use of the credentials provided at the SCVMM MMC's logon screen, which VirtualMachineViewer.exe does not.
I elected to use Credential Manager to resolve this issue.
In Credential Manager, I created a "Windows Credential" entry where the hostname matched the FQDN of the hostname that appears within SCVMM as the virtual host entry. Using an IP does not match if you've used an FQDN in the SCVMM
registration, and vice versa. If you used an IP for the host in SCVMM, then you need to supply that IP as the hostname in Credential Manager, and likewise if you used a FQDN.
This solution isn't perfect as it requires you to manage numerous Credential Manager entries (one per host), but that still appealed to me far more than one per guest. If I had a larger environment, I'd script the account configuration
given it only needs to happen once per host, rather than on an ongoing basis of once per guest as some of the above approaches would require.
I haven't tested the different combinations to verify the least permissions required. For the time being I've gone with the model of using a non-privileged domain user account (to avoid managing multiple identities and passwords)
which I added to the local Administrators group of each Hyper-V Server host. This stuck me as being a sound enough compromise between rigid security and ease-of-administration (given the per host arrangement in Credential Manager).
With the account correctly specified in Credential Manager, I'm able to move on past the 0x0003 error and successfully use the remote function.
If I was to point out an upside to this, it would be that this approach would allow me to remote Hyper-V servers in untrusted forests (including workgroups), which is something I couldn't do if the VirtualMachineViewer.exe process
did in fact use my SCVMM credentials alone. Ultimately, that's something you have to come to terms with yourself, though.
    Cheers,
    Lain
Thanks a bunch Lain, this helped! I'd still consider this a bug, however, and not a workable solution for a large number of servers/admins... But for now this does the trick, thanks!

    Content and Apple IDs -
Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with another Apple ID with a new Apple ID.

Call Apple Care and ask for the Account Security Team. They can assist you with your issue of recovering the old Apple ID.

  • Infoview logon page redirect to a report

    Hello,
We are running BO XI 3.1 SP3 FP3.2.
What we would like to do is : When we go on the infoview logon page, once the user has clicked on the logon buton, instead of going to his home page is showing a specific report.
I think this is possible going into the jsp files of the infoview app, but we did not find where and how it could be done.
Could you please help us ?
This is needed because with the report we will show, all user will see information that the BO/BI team want to show them.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hello,
What you're describing is considered to be customization of Infoview. Customizing Infoview is not supported. It might be possible to achieve your goal, but it would probably be very difficult. Infoview and the other Enterprise applications are considered shipped products.
Keep in mind that if you find a solution any changes might be overwritten when you apply a patch or service pack. Be sure to keep good notes so that you can go back and recreate the change if necessary.
    Sincerely,
    Dan Kelleher

  • Safari won't let me log in with my credentials

When I use this forum in Firefox, I can log in with my credentials (email address, password) fine. When I try to use Safari to log in, it keeps wanting me to create a new account with my AppleID.
Can I join these two sets of credentials? If so, how do i do that?
If I cannot join these sets of credentials, how can I make Safari let me log in with the credentials I know work?

Does your original account contain any accented letters or characters?
This would be a system issue that needs to be addressed by Apple. If an account can be successfully created with accented letters, there shouldn't be any subsequent login errors, as text encoding and parsing should be the same in both cases.
I think the problem may be more likely related to glitches on specific co-located servers, as may have been the case with the bouncing "Report this Post" messages that I reported in another thread.
The case that ~Bee mentioned is being addressed and is not related to the configuration issue you are referring to.

I think if you enable some type of SSO (single sign-on) you could accomplish something like this, but with traditional logons this would be a security risk. You would need to allow your sessions to not time out. After a session times out with out some type of SSO involved it's impossible for our application to identify who the user is when they access an object. This is why you are reprompted for logon.
There may be a way to extend session life indefinitely but it wouldn't be recommended.

  • Authenicated with Cached Credentials

I have 2 identical Mac Book Pro laptops (I use one as a backup). I do a full backup of the production Mac using SuperDuper and install it on the other to use as a replacement if needed. They are never on the network (Windows 2003/AD) at the same time. When logging into the network on the backup laptop a message pops up saying Authenicated with Cached Credentials. After several times of logging in you are no longer able to log in at all. Is there something I need to clear that I am missing?

  • MacBook connects automatically with old credentials to Wi-Fi (WPA2 Enterprise)

    Hi,
I have this issue connecting to Wi-Fi at work with my MacBookPro5,1 (OS X 10.6.8) after changing my password (we have to change it frequently).
The access to the wireless connection is authenticated against my personal domain credentials (our work machines are bound to Active Directory).
Everytime since changing the password when I leave my laptop to sleep for about maybe 20 minutes or more my laptop tries automatically connect to the wi-fi so many times with wrong credentials that I get a userlock for half hour or so.  I know this cause I have seen the Wireless Connection log and can see that my username has attempted three times in a row unsuccessfully.
My laptop must have my old wi-fi profile with the old password stored/cached somewhere. I have already resetted my Airport settings and user profile via System Preferences > Network > Advanced > and chosen the Wi-Fi profile and removed it with "-" and from the 802.1X too where the username and password is stored. But this still keeps on happening. Even after rebooting and I can´t find anywhere where the old password is stored.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi, I tried this too but to no effect.
I don't know why but upgrading from Snow Leopard to Mavericks solved the problem. After this I have had no issues with the WLAN. I guess it's something to do with OS incompability with today's WPA2 enterprise protocol standards.
    Who knows?

  • Tecra M10 - Stuck CTRL key issue -- perhaps to do with BIOS?

    Hello and thanks for reading.
I recently switched my Tecra M10 to Windows 7 (from XP) and it soon developed the dreaded "stuck CTRL key" issue. This causes the keyboard to behave as if the CTRL key is permanently depressed. Sometimes hitting a combination of keys, or bringing up the onscreen keyboard, temporarily solves the issue, but then it returns.
It seems to be an issue many people have, with no simple solution. I've looked at every thread about it I can find, and tried many things to do with drivers etc. without any success.
So firstly, if anyone knows a remedy that works for this particular machine, I would be very grateful to learn it!
Then, there are two things I've not yet done: update BIOS and disable pinch zoom.
I was looking at the following BIOS update:
    http://www.toshiba-asia.com/sg/support/drivers/details/25244
... which is version 3.00 and seems to be most recent. My own version is 1.90.
However version 3.00 is labelled "For PTMB0* ONLY". I don't know what this means or whether it applies to me. Can anyone help? Should I install this BIOS?
For the pinch zoom, I've been told that disabling it does sometimes cure the CTRL problem -- but I can't find any pinch zoom facility on the M10. I suspect it simply doesn't have one. Is that right?
Many thanks for any help you can give.

    Hi
    > I was looking at the following BIOS update. which is version 3.00 and seems to be most recent. My own version is 1.90.
There are different Tecra M10 models on the market.
Check the labels at the bottom of the unit. There you should find some numbers like for example PTMB0E-01K00LGR
The first 6 characters are important: for example PTMB0E
I assume your notebook belongs to European series.
In such case you should check the Toshiba EU driver page for possible BIOS update.
    http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
However, on Toshiba EU driver page you will find also the BIOS v3.0 for all European Tecra M10 units.
Anyway, back to the CTRL button issue: guess what, you should connect an external USB keyboard and should check how the CTRL button acts.
In case the USB keyboard would work properly, the CTRL button of internal keyboard is affected and you will need to replace the internal keyboard.
PS: it could be possible that the option "sticky keys" has been enabled. To disable this function, you have to press SHIFT button 5 times in the row.
