Issue in Queues

Hi Gurus,
We have Oracle queues jobs and recently it was migrated from 9i to 10g. After this migration some of the queues stopped after starting and if I start it again it runs normally. What will be the cause of this issue. Due to this I need to do manual propagation each time the queue has new data. Thanks in advance for your help!

CHeck your error log or even the alert log to find out why the jobs have stopped. Also consider to upgrade from DBMS_JOB to DBMS_SCHEDULER an/or Oracle Pipes to Advanced Qeueing (in case you still used pipes).

  • Issue with queues

    Hi,
We have an issue with queues in our PROD server. We are having about 35000 IDOCs stuck in 'smq2' with the IDOC on the top of the list in SYSFAIL status, with the message <b>'Problems found during the EXPORT to specified keyin table'</b>.
The short dump on ST22 says 'EXPORT_TABLE_UPDATE_CONFLICT'.
    Please advise.
    cheers,
    Prashanth

    Prashanth,
I think this is the issue with the database. Can you check whether the database is having enough space or not. If not kinldy increase the space.

  • Issue listeneing queue from Weblogic Cluster server with multiple managed server

Haveing issue listeneing queue from Weblogic Cluster server with multiple managed server.
    Weblogic Cluster structure is like
    Weblogic Cluster01
      --ManagedServer01(http://server01.myhost.com:7001)
      --ManagedServer02(http://server02.myhost.com:7001)
    JMS Servers
      JMSserver01 targeting: ManagedServer01
      JMSserver02 targeting: ManagedServer02
      JMSmodule
      ConnectionFactory01 targeting:JMSserver01,JMSserver02
      UDQueue01 targeting:JMSserver01,JMSserver02
Uniform Distributed Queue in Monitoring tab showing like this
      mysystemmodule!JMSserver01@UDQueue01
      mysystemmodule!JMSserver02@UDQueue01
So when I am sending message to any Host(by specifying the provider URL) its distributing equally on both server like
      mysystemmodule!JMSserver01@UDQueue01 10
      mysystemmodule!JMSserver02@UDQueue01 10
But when try to listen message from these queue, it is listening from one server, for which URL given to connect.
      mysystemmodule!JMSserver01@UDQueue01 0
      mysystemmodule!JMSserver02@UDQueue01 10
untill I connect to other server by giveing its URL, will not able to access other message left on the queue.
    Solutions that tried
      1) we have tried give both server URL coma sparated in provider URL
we need to configur same scenario for 5 managed server with 3 listener on other servers.
Do any one have solution for this.

    You need to have:
    1. Consumers connected to each UDQ member
    OR
    2. If no consumers in some of the members is expected, you can configure Forward Delay (specify the amount of time, in seconds, that a queue member with messages, but with no consumers, will wait before forwarding its messages to other queue members that do have consumers):
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E12839_01/apirefs.1111/e13952/taskhelp/jms_modules/distributed_queues/ConfigureUDQGeneral.html
For example you can set it to 10 (10s)

  • Issue w/ Queues in Server 10.5.5, Xerox 7760s: They print, but offset

    A little background:
Currently we have a mix of 80 fully patched 10.4.11 and fully patched 10.5.5 clients printing directly to 4 identical Xerox Phaser 7760DXs via ipp. They work great. No problems with clients printing directly to the printer.
    -BUT-
For reasons beyond the scope of this post, we MUST move the clients to use server queues (PaperCut).
Server is now a clean test server running fully patched 10.5.5 OS X Server with just print services running.
We set up 4 queues the usual way, and then set clients to print to the named queues via LPR, designate the correct driver/ppds on the client.
The clients CAN print, however, out of every app we try, from TextEdit to Illustrator CS3 -anything-
the print outs are blown-up or offset really noticeably -
Say you set up Preview to
print a 7"X5" jpg to centered, on tabloid in landscape. Set the scale option to %100 (no scaling) and
it prints basically off center: up and to the left about 25% of the total page size- really off.
Again, not app related, textedit does this with a single word of centered text, photoshop CS 3, BBEdit, Firefox, etc every print, all print out offset more or less to the same degree, no matter how one sets them up.
Same clients, setups, but printing to the printer directly, rather than by the queues, in all the same apps, you never have this issue.
We did look at this as far as the pstop file version and 10.5.5:

and no, substituting the older pstop files did not correct the situation.

  • Critical issue - delta queues for LIS empty after upgrade BW3.5

The delta queue in R/3 for LIS sources (S260-261-262) remains empty,

    Laurent,
from OSS Note 534296 'LBW0: DataSource generation possible for SAP info str.' you can read:
"(...)it is no longer possible to generate DataSources for info structures (transfer) Snn delivered by SAP (where nnn is between 001 and 500) in the BW interface for LIS info structures (TR: LBW0) in the OLTP. (...)The corresponding DataSources are delivered with the Business Content."
I think this is the issue...
However, are you saying that all infostructures are empty ?
And from where your init is taking data ?
After an init your delta tables have to be empty...did you empty all these tables before doing your upgrade ?

  • BPM Issue with Queue

    HI All,
I created a BPM in our upgraded PI 7.0 SP10 server. However every message is getting the scheduled in Outbound queue(Green Flag) while trying to go to the BPE. I checked SMQ1 and found that the messages are failing with the following error  "Password logon no longer possible - too many failed attempts" using user XIISUSER. Now is is confusing to me, because this user is NOT LOCKED. Also, I tried various other users to the same error. Is this some type of new issue with 7.0 compared to 6.40? How can I solve this? I even changed the password of XIISUSER and still no avail. Can this error be turned off in the instance profile?
    Thanks for the help!

    Hi Richard,
maybe it's not the user who is locked but his wrong password

    Hi Gurus,
Can any body tell me the resolution for one of the issue which we are currently facing is 'object is locked by this user xxxxx" we are getting in smq2 of
ecc system so we are resolving this issue by resetting the status of queue so it is working fine when we do this activity so again after few hours again
we are getting so whom do we contact to resolve this issue as a pi consultant im manually processisng all these activities for every hour , can any body give the suggestion for this.

    Hi,
A temp solution that might help you while you try and sort out the problem. Is to schedule these jobs to restart the queues every 15min or 60min so it can start processing again. Please also have a look in SM12 when to see what locks there are.

  • Issue - CIF queue for activation of IM requiring manual activation.

    Hi,
For inbound setting, the CIF queue for activation of IM is getting stuck with ready status. Consequently the background job getting failed with time limit exceed status.
The same queue when activated manually, gets cleared. Thus requirng manual intevetion.
Please suggest solution to get rid of this manual intervention.
    Thanks and regards,
    Sushant

    Hi Sushant,
If you use inbound queues check QIN scheduler on SCM side - transaction SMQR.
    From help:
Call transaction SMQR and choose Registration.
Enter the queue name CF* and make the required settings.
EXEMODE: Execution mode (D - Dialog work process; B - Batch work process)
    MAXTIME: Maximum runtime that the QIN scheduler uses for activating a destination;
              default value: 60 seconds
USERDEST: RFC destination with LOGON data. Specification of a logical destination
with its own language on the local
system. This means that the burden of integration can be distributed to a server group.
NRETRY: Number of repetitions for failed calls, default value: 30
RDELAY: Wait time between individual calls, default value: 300

  • Issues in Queuing mechanism(FIFO) in PI

    Hi PI Experts,
In my project PI will use a queuing mechanism based on a FIFO methodology. This introduces a single point of failure where if a message flowing through gets stuck for any reason the entire queue will get stuck.
Can anybody tell me the options available that be manual or automatic for reducing the turnaround time for detection and / or resolution or the utopia of removing this single point of failure all together.
    Thanks,
    Loveena.

    Hi,
Following are the options available for this.
    1. Avoid EOIO Quality of service to block the other messages (if you are using EO ) then remove the check Maintain order at runtime option in ID..
    2. If first option cannot be done then configure CCMS alert mechanism to get trigger the Alerts.
        /people/aravindh.prasanna/blog/2006/02/20/configuring-scenario-specific-e-mail-alerts-in-xi-ccms-part-3
    3. From PI 7.3 onwards backup queue option will be avaialbe for handling these things..

  • TNEF Issue - Winmail.dat or messages stuck in submission queue

    Hi guys,
I've looked around the forums and have found people that have had submission queue issues when they set TNEF to $null or $false, and have found that the unified answer is to set TNEF to $true.
I also see folks having issues with recipients in remote domains receiving winmail.dat files in some instances (with a .pdf or .xls file attached) if TNEF is set to $true.
I have both issues. If I set TNEF to $true, I encounter the winmail.dat file problem. If I set TNEF to $false or $null, I encounter the submission queue issue (submission queue states "A transient storage failure occured", and users get a queue
expiration bounce). Neither of these states are acceptable. I cannot have messages stuck in the queue only to be expired, and I cannot have recipients in remote domains failing to receive attachments in emails.
Does anyone have a possible workaround that might resolve this particular situation? It seems that this has been an issue in Exch 2010.
    Current Environment Configuration:
I am running Exchange 2013 SP1 Standard on both of my CAS/MBX servers, running on Server 2012 R2 patched to the latest updates. I have an inbound spam filter, but mail outbound is not filtered, therefore the spam filter on our side should not play a role.
I do have not made any changes to the exchange default malware filter either. Other than this issue, mail is flowing correctly and as expected.

I also see folks having issues with recipients in remote domains receiving winmail.dat files in some instances (with a .pdf or .xls file attached) if TNEF is set to $true.
    Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that all the remote domain's recipients would receive winmail.dat files when you send the message to them if TNEF is set to $true, right?
The Winmail.dat file is used to preserve Rich Text formatting. Outlook uses it when sending a Rich Text-formatted message. During transport, the content of the message may be changed, preventing the receiving client from being able to read the formatting
instructions. In other cases, the receiving client does not use or recognize the winmail.dat file.
I recommend that you refer to the following article to solve the issue:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/278061
Method 1: Change the default message format
The sender can change the format of the email messages that they send by using the following steps:
On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click
    Mail Format.
In Compose in this message format, click to select Plain Text, and then click
    OK.
NOTE: To send to certain recipients that use RTF format and others recipients that use plain text format, the sender must set the option for the recipient in either the Personal Address Book or the recipient's contact record.
Method 2: Modify the recipient's entry in the Personal Address Book
The sender can use the following steps to remove the RTF format from the recipient attribute in the Personal Address Book:
On the Tools menu, click Address Book.
In Show Names From, click the Personal Address Book.
Select the addressee that you want to set as plain text, and then click
    Properties on the File menu.
In the SMTP-General tab, click to clear the Always send to this recipient in Microsoft Exchange rich text format check box, and then click
    OK.
Method 3: Change the specific contact format
The sender can use the following steps to set plain text in the recipient's contact record:
Open the recipient's record in the Contacts folder.
    Double-click the recipient's e-mail address.
In the E-Mail Properties dialog box, click Send Plain Text only under
    Internet Format.
Method 4: Set the Outlook Rich Text Format Internet e-mail setting
In Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007, click Options on the Tools menu.
    Click the Mail Format tab.
    Click Internet Format.
Under Outlook Rich Text options, click either Convert to HTML format or
    Convert to Plain Text format.
    Hope this helps!
    Thanks.

    Niko,
The Winmail.dat issue is only part of the problem, as described in my original post. For these messages (which it's a different set of messages every time, and it's becoming impossible for me to track them all down), if I set exchange or outlook to encode
the message in Rich Text, the message gets encoded and sent to the recipient. Some of our recipients will reject the message because it is rich text, others receive a winmail.dat file.
However, if I set exchange to not encode messages (TNEF= $false or $null), the message becomes stuck in the submission queue and eventually times out with an error resembling "Storage Transient Failure".

  • JMS Messages getting stuck in queues

    Hi,
I am facing this peculiar issue with queue messages not getting picked up.
Application Architecture: There is 1 JMS queue ( which resides in WLDomain1 with in a Unix Box) and there are 2 windows boxes having 2 weblogic domains each with 3 instances of MDB deployed on each of the domains. So total of 12 consumers (2 Box * 2 Domain * 3 Instances of MDB) listens to the JMS queue.
Issue: After bringing everything up I am able to see 12 consumer count listening to the queue. But when I run the application which writes total of 13 messages in the queue only 7 of them are getting processed and 6 messages are always getting stuck in the queues. Interestingly this 7 messages are mostly getting processed by consumers with in the same windows box. And the selection of windows box is completely random. To confirm whether both the windows boxes are configured fine I tried to test them individually and it works fine individually, the problem happens only if I bring up both the boxes together.
Another observation is, if I bring down the non working domains, the pending messages start getting processed by the working domains. It gives an impression that the non working domains seem to lock the messages for processing but doesn't actually process it. Only when I bring down the domains it releases this lock.
Below is the JMS Life cycle events I captured from log files :

    Hi,
The problem may be conflicting names in your configuration. To ensure proper operation of WL Security, JMS, JTA, and JDBC, make sure that (A) each domain has a unique name, and (B) no two WebLogic servers have the same name (even if in two different domains).
To ensure a more even distribution of messages, either simply send more than a token amount messages (eg, a hundred or so, rather than just 12), or configure a custom connection factory on the domain that hosts the queue, reduce MessagesMaximum on the connection factory to 1, and then modify each MDB to refer to the custom connection factory. The MessagesMaximum setting controls the number of messages that can be pre-pushed (pipelined) to a single asynchronous consumer.
For more information see "Best Practices for JMS Beginners and Advanced Users" in the latest versions of the JMS admin guide, and "JMS Performance & Tuning Check List" in the WebLogic Performance and Tuning guide.

  • EOIO to EO Queue Problem

    Hi Guys,
I'm facing some issues in Queue processing. My scenario is like the JMS to R/3. Sender JMS adapter uses EOIO Queue. The receiver IDOC uses the EO queue ,  I mean its processing in the trfc mode. The scenario works fine in the Dev system, but the same scenario is throwing errors in the receiver IDOC (Status 75) in QA sys. When we checked the Dev system is using the FM - IDOC_INBOUND_ASYNCHRONOUS , but in case of QA system - its using IDOC_INBOUND_IN_QUEUE. Did anyone faced the same issue, could you guys help me to resolve it.
    Best Regards,
    Raj.

    Hi Raj,
    Check out this
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/96/791c42375d5033e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
    <i>Queue Processing
If the function module IDOC_INBOUND_IN_QUEUE is to be used, set the relevant indicator. It is used for IDocs that are serialized by queues (quality of service is EOIO). This module is only available in SAP Web AS 6.40 and higher. If it is not available, the function module IDOC_INBOUND_ASYNCHRONOUS is called. The indicator only takes effect in SAP systems Releases 4.0 and higher. Calls for the queue processing function module are placed in the Structure linkqRFC queue.</i>

  • CIF Queues generated without active integration model

    Hello All,
We are facing a unique issue, where queues are seen in SCM queue manager although those products are not there in any active integration model for transaction data.
    The scenario is as follows:
    1. We are CIFing only master data as we have only DP and release to R/3
    2. There is active integration model for master data
    3. There is no integration model for transaction data
However in SCM queue manager, I am seeing queues of type CFFCC "Location" "Product".
The function module name is /SAPAPO/CIF_IRQ_REDUCT_INBOUND.
We observed in R/3 that the goods movement transaction code MB1A is trigerring TRFC's which is generating the queues.
Has anyone encountered a similar scenario like this?
    Regards,
    Kedar

    Oi Jackeline!
    Hello, all!
I think Vikas got the point, but let me be more specific...
The transfer of requirement reduction depended in previous releases (until PI 2002.1) only on an integration model for material master data being active. Then a new type of integration models was created to control the sending of requirement
    reduction.
To activate the new logic a flag has to be set in customizing.
    Use transaction /CFC9
    OR
    R/3 SAP Customizing Implementation Guide
-> Integration with Other SAP Components
    -> Advanced Planning and Optimization
      -> Application-Specific Settings and Enhancements
-> Settings and Enhancements for Requirement Reduction
-> Evaluate the Requirements Reduction Filter Object Type:
Then, flag 'Filter Object Requirements Reduction'
If you set this flag no queue of type CFFCC* will be sent if there is no explicit active integration model for Requirements Reduction. Please set this flag in production and delete any existing queues of type CFFCC*. No new such queues should be created in the future as long as you don't activate the transfer via an integration model.
I hope this information helps to clarify this issue.
Please give your feedback concerning the given solution.
    Thank you!
    Will
