    Hi All,
    I am facing a issue while opening AMT/Mobile Sales Appl/System Maintenance. I am getting the error saying 'UI_CORE_APPL_LAUNCH_FAILED_STA'. Could anyone out there  please tell me how to resolve this issue?
    I checked the UID and PWD under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFWARE\SAP\MSA\MW\secutiry for IDES DB and they are consistent with the ODBC parameters for IDES.
    Much appreciated,
    Karuna.

    Hi All,
    my issue is resolved. The problem with my issue was the missing entry in the table SMO_AUTH_SYS. I found the note 687679 and ran the report according to it. With that table SMO_AUTH_SYS was populated with the record. Later i was able to connect to AMT and gave the standard role SAP_AMT_USER and since then i am able to log into MSAA application and also MSY application
    My issue is resolved. Thanks for everyone who tried to help me out.
    Thanks,

    Hello Gokul,
    first thing is to check is if your chrome version is supported by your current BO version as specified in the PAM (is it?). If the chrome version is supported, and you still have an issue, then you can check with a sap support engineer.

  • Issue while opening webi reports using OpenDoc url in Chrome browser

    Hi
    We are in SAP BI4.0 SP7. We are facing weird issue while opening the webi report via OpenDoc url in chrome. we are facing the below issue only in chrome and it works perfectly in IE and Firefox.
    For the first time the report gets opened properly(when a session is created). If we try to open the same report from the same machine in a different browser tab, report gets opened up without any Tables\charts. We could see only a blank page with just the Report Tab name at the bottom. If we do refresh on the page, the report opens up correctly. We have checked for packet drops and there is no such thing. Is there any setting that we should make to resolve this. Your help is appreciated.
    thanks

  • Performance issue while opening the report

    HI,
    I am working BO XI R3.1.there is performance issue while opening the report in BO Solris Server but  on window server it is compratively fast.
    we have few reports which contains 5 fixed prompt 7 optional prompt.
    out of 5 fixed prompt 3 prompt is static (it contains 3 -4 record only )which is coming from materlied view.
    we have already use many thing for improve performance in report like-
    1) Index Awareness
    2) Aggregate Awareness
    3) Array fatch size-250
    3) Aray bind time -32767
    4) Login time out -600
    the issue is that before refresh opening the report iteslf taking time 1.30 min on BO solris server but same report taking time in BO window server 45 sec. even we  import on others BO solris server it is taking same time as per old solris server(1.30 min).
    when we close the trace in solris server than it is taking 1.15  sec time.it should not be intial phase it is not hitting more on database.so why it is taking that much time while opening the report.
    could you please guide us where exectly problem is there and how we can improve performance for opening the report.In case the problem related to solris server so what would be and how can we rectify.
    Incase any further input require for the same feel free to ask me.

    Hi Kumar,
    If this is happening with all the reports then this issue seems to be due to firewall or security settings of Solaris OS.
    Please try to lower down the security level in solaris and test for the issue.

  • Performance issues while opening business rule

    Hi,
    we're working with Hyperion version 9.2.1 and we're having some performance problems while opening business rules. I analyzed the issue and found out that it has something to do with assigning access privileges to the rule.
    The authorization plan looks as followed:
    User A is assigned to group G1
    User B is assigned to group G2
    Group G1 ist assigned to Group XYZ
    Group G2 ist assigned to Group XYZ
    Group XYZ holds the provision "basic user" for the planning application.
    Without assigning any access priviliege the business rule opens immediately.
    By assigning access privilege to group G1/G2 (validate or launch) the business rule opens immediately.
    By assigning access privilege to group XYZ the business rule opens after 2-5 minutes.
    Has anyone an idea why this happens and how to solve this?
    Kind regards
    Uli

    This has been an issue with Business Rules for quite awhile. Oracle has made steps both forward and backward in later releases than yours; and they've issued patches addressing, if not completely resolving, the problem. Things finally seem to be much better in 11.1.1.3, although YMMV.

    Did you register the Essbase application with Shared Service, do the following steps:
    (EAS) console. Right click on the application name and select 'Register'.
    application successfully registered. Log on to Shared Services and select the application to assign access control.
    If the error is occurring with all Essbase applications, you can register all of them at one time:
    Click 'Register all'. Confirm that all applications were successfully registered. Log on to Shared Services and try assign access control for all applications.
    If the re-registration does not work from EAS you may need to reregister Essbase as a product.
    Locate the product_config_#.xml in the directory EPM_ORACLE_INSTANCE/config/foundation/11.1.2.0/product/product_name
    For example; the Essbase product file is located in EPM_ORACLE_INSTANCE/config/foundation/11.1.2.0/product/Essbaseserver/11.1.2.0
    Open the file product_config_#.xml and locate the line:
    <property_name>="hubRegistration">Configured</property>
    Change the status from Configured to Pending.
    Rerun 'startconfigtool.bat' or 'startconfigtool.sh' or the EPM System Configurator again and select the product. This enables you to reregister the product with Shared Services.
    Now check with ur ULS

    After upgrading to version 9.3.3, 11.1.1.3.50 or 11.1.2.1 this error could occur with the below scenario...
    The cause was due to a program change in these upgrade version, with how logins work when accessing HFM via workspace. Any login to HFM that does not go through workspace, will inconsistently cause this error.

    Can anyone help me on this issue?
    Regards,
    Bindu

    I have already tried this before and this not work too, but strange that even if I use JDBC:ODBC bridge driver, the return value for output parameters are not correct, that is, only return the value that I input but not the value after executed in the procedure....
    The code that I used with JDBC:ODBC bridge is as follow:
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    String url = "jdbc:odbc:;DRIVER=SQL Server;Persist Security Info=False;database=db;Server=sql;uid=sa;pwd=pwd";
              Connection con;
              ResultSet rs = null;
    CallableStatement callS = null;
              try {
                   Class.forName("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");
              } catch(java.lang.ClassNotFoundException e) {
                   System.err.print("ClassNotFoundException: ");
                   System.err.println(e.getMessage());
              try {
                   con=DriverManager.getConnection(url);
    callS = con.prepareCall("{ call dbo.CpJavaTest (?)}");
    callS.registerOutParameter(1, Types.INTEGER);
    callS.execute();
    rs=callS.getResultSet();
    int ret = callS.getInt(1);
    System.out.println("return value : " + ret);
                   while (rs.next()) {
                        String f1 = rs.getString(4);
                        String f2 = rs.getString(5);
                        System.out.println(f1 + " " + f2);
              } catch(SQLException ex) {
                   System.out.println("SQLException: " + ex.getMessage());
    The value of the output parameter is same as what I inputed! Hope any one can teach me how to correct it...
    Thank you very much!
