Issue with a JoinFieldValue on Opportunity Object

Hello,
I am trying to do a JoinFieldValue on opportunity object.
Here is my fonction: JoinFieldValue('<Activity>',[<ActivityId>],'<AccountName>')
OCOD return me an error message: "[<ActivityId>] is not valid SBL-SBL-00000"
In the Oracle documentation, they said that we can only do a joinfieldvalue on [<ActivityId>] with custom object 1, 2 and 3.
Does anyone can confirm or give a workaround for that?

I did it on a workflow with the following trigger: "when a new created record"
1. I put a wait action as 0 minutes waiting.
2. Update values on Opportunity account : JoinFieldValue as I said previously
Did you success on a workflow like that?

Issue with Materialized View ORA-08103: object no longer exists

I have a materialized view which gets refreshed(COMPLETE Refresh) every 2 minutes. However there are few scheduled programs which queries this materialized view, some of the queries in the scheduled program take longer to run. When the materialized view refresh time overlaps with this query executing from the program i get this error: ORA-08103: object no longer exists.
I know that COMPLETE refresh doing TRUNCATE + INSERT is causing the issue, could someone suggest a workaround for this. But i need to do a COMPLETE refresh.

Why would a TRUNCATE cause an "object no longer exists" ?
Which job encounters this error ? The MV Refresh job or the programs that are querying the MV ? How does it resolve ? Automatically -- meaning that the next refresh/query does not raise the error ?

Issue with RCDC for Custom "Department" object type

Hey Guys,
Maybe somebody can point out where the issue is with the RCDC. I have a custom object type called Department in FIM portal and wanted to create a simple interface for it so users can add and edit department fields.
The only two fields that should show on the RCDC is department and divisions(this is the name of the custom field) all the fields work but I keep getting the following error "There's an error in the Department display configuration.Please contact your
system administrator"

Any advice is appreciated.

I don't know RCDCs well enough to debug it from the xml. One approach when I don't know something too well is to brute it. Copy one of the default RCDCs and make sure it's working then add the required attributes one by one checking that it works each
time. Once it's working with the added attributes remove all the ones you don't need. If that breaks it, go back to where it was working and remove them one by one.

Issue with retriving the title of objects

Hello Colleagues,
I am trying to develop an application which builds a tree structure with the objects assigned to a user in runtime.i.e if a user has a particular role lets say content administration,it list you the role and the objects inside that role.
I am able to build the tree structure ,but the structure shows the ID of all the objects ,i.e if its role is content Administration,then in my structure its shows com.sap.portal.content_administration.
But i want to show the title here as content Administration.
initially i tried using:
1.String title = searchResult.get("com.sap.portal.pcm.Title").get().toString()
but this gave me the title as Locale = ;content Administration.This full string instead of content administration.
2.then i tried using the locale

Issue with execution of MessageChoicebean View Object at every row of table

I have a table with 2 columns.
First column is showing datatype.
Second column is MesssageChoiceBean which is showing values from the VO.
This choiceBean VO , i am executing based on the first column data type.
Here the issue is,
The data type at the last row of the table is executing the corresponsing choice bean VO and that is replacing all the above rows choice bean values.
Please help me in this.

When i run the model layer, open the operations of the "SecondEmpDetailsView" and perform filter, it is getting applied to "FirstEmpDetailsView" instead of "SecondEmpDetailsView"VO instances are defined in your AM (AM act as service facade for you). If you want to manipulate a specific VO instance, please move this logic to AM, get hold of specific VO instance and apply the criteria.

Issue with Teradata access from Business Objects AIX Machine

Hi,
I am using BO XI.31 which is installed on AIX 5.3 machine. I have installed Teradata driver on the machine and I have created the require ODBC.ini entry to point Teradata database. While refreshing the report I am getting below error message.
A database error occured .The database error test is (CS) "DBDriver failed ot load: /BOBJ/xi_3.1...Connectionserver/libdbd_tdodbc.so

Following information might help you to resolve the issue.
This is caused by a wrong HOME environment variable of the user that starts the BO processes.
Resolution
Check the correct path of your BO 3.1 installation and export it as HOME environment variable:
Example:
BO 3.1 installation path: /home/<bouser>/bo3.1/Enterprise12.0../...
Type in the command line:
export HOME=/home/<bouser>/boversion
You can also change this environment variable permanently if you edit the .profile file of the BO user (home/<username>/.profile), adding the above line into the file, then source it again with:
. .profile
or with a logoff/logon of the session.
Check if the path of your HOME is correct with:
env | grep HOME
Now you can run the installation setup without any error.

Issues with SNP_CHECK_TAB being an invalid object

During the Control step 'delete previous check sum' I encounter the following error:
208 : S0002 : java.sql.SQLException: [DWSQL]Invalid object name 'companyx_prod_workspace.dbo.SNP_CHECK_TAB'.

There are many scenarios and interfaces in this ETL load. There may be a dozen or more tables loaded in each scenario. The scenarios will execute correctly 4 out of 5 times but the other times I get this error somewhere in the sequence of tables being loaded. The interface/table that fails will vary when the load fails. And the next x number of times the scenario and inerface will succeed.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Hi,
Under your SQL Server Technology you should have a Data Server entry and under this, one or more physical schema entries.
ONE of the physical schema entries MUST be set as the default (by checking the default checkbox under the physical schema definition tab).
The SNP_CHECK_TAB table should then be created and referenced correctly.

Issue with converting string to date object

I have a problem with sorting a list of dates in a table column. My dates are in the format 'yyyy-Mmm-dd'(Eg: 2009-Dec-23). Can someone help me how to sort the dates in this format. here is the code which i tried.

Issue with declaring variable

I am developing a multiuser application in flash, using smartfox server and as 2.0, but i am having an issue with defining/declaring a variable/object/array, and then accessing it. I am attempting to define "curMap" (whether it be a variable, array, object, whatever works) within the following function, as the returned array from the server, "resObj". This works fine as long as i only call up "curMap" WITHIN this function(as you see in the line : r_txt.text = curMap;) however whenever I try to call up "curMap" on the frame coding, outside the function, it comes back as undefined, or typically nothing. Any Ideas as to how to properly do/assign this? I have tried various things(such as _root., _global, or defining the var "curMap" outside the function) with no luck.
Here is my Code:

Issue with Opportunity schema contained in Opportunity.wsdl and Integration

There is Opportunity XML schema object defined for Siebel web-service with URI “urn:/crmondemand/xml/opportunity” in opportunity.wsdl and opportunity.xsd contained in integrationevent.zip. Please find attached the schema files.
If you check the diff, the opportunity schema is different, which is actually a conflict from Siebel side since it is the same object identified by URI “urn:/crmondemand/xml/opportunity”. Can we get some information about the discrepancy from Siebel OD team?

Weblogic 10.3.0 issues with remote object calls.

All:
I was wondering if anyone has experienced any issues with Weblogic 10.3.0 dropping initial remote object calls over AMF Secure Channel. Here are the issues we are experiencing.
1. FLEX applications fail consistently on the first remote object call made across the AMF Secure Channel. Resulting in the request not returning from the application server; which has had varying affects on the different applications including missing data, application freeze and general degrading of the user experience.
2. FLEX applications require a browser/application refresh once the application has been inactive for a certain period of time. In our experiences the behavior occurs after 30 minutes of inactivity.
I've deployed this same code to Weblogic 10.3.3 and the behaviors go away. Are there any patches to 10.3.0 that might take care of this issue that we are not aware of?

I found the problem. But I needed change the target of all my datasources until discover that one of my datasource didn´t answer and no errors was trigged.
My server was waiting this datasource, and not get started.

Issue with use of collection type attibutes of oracle custom objects in BC4

Just see the simulation, it seems to be an issue with BC4J/OC4j when we have an attribute in the view object mapped to a database column that is of type collection of custom oracle objects.
1-     I have a oracle type Quantity that is defined to contain 2 numbers
2-     I have a oracle collection QuantityList that is a collection of Quantity objects.
3-     I have a table defined as :
CREATE TABLE ANU_TEST_QUANTITYLIST
ID        NUMBER,
USR_DATA QUANTITYLIST
NESTED TABLE USR_DATA STORE AS ANU_QUANTITYLIST;4-     Now I try to select the id and usr_data column of this table through the VAnuTestQuantityList view.
5-     It throws the following exception:

I try using the "Business components from tables" wizard to create a new EO, VO, and AM related to the ANU_TEST_QUANTITYLIST and it works fine for me. You'll see that JDeveloper creates you a custom Quantitylist domain object as part of this process.
If you are making programmatic use of the oracle.sql.STRUCT then you will see this error in three-tier.
Use the oracle.jbo.domain.Struct instead.

Issue with Citrix Business Objects full client

Hi ,
I have issue with my database pasword being expired. I ran a recovery and it works fine for me.
Since we are using the citirx installation the bomain.key is available on the citrix server which is copied across the user profile when they are login into citrix server via the logon script.
I still could not find whether the log on script is correct or not can any one of you let me know what I can use to copy the bomain.key using citrix usrlogon.cmd script.

Issues with shockwave flash player object

Why at some sites it has shockwave flash object it doesn't open it at all and it bring me window to download some files(See picture bellow).
I have already installed adobe flash player & shockwave flash player with not solve this issue.

Issue with OAS Connection Object

we have running project in which Migration from Weblogic 8.1 ,Oracle 9i R2 Rel to OAS 10.1.3, Oracle 10g
we running issues with one of the module which we are trying to insert to temporary table which is failing and no exception found at console.
here code bases are diffrent. weblogic code and OAS code are diffrent. in weblogic we are using conventional connection machanisim where as in OAS code base
we are using connection pool machanisim.
we have done through anlysis from code base point.moreover we have also cheked in myforums.oracle.com none of them have posted this query.
