Issue with ABAP Proxy

Hi,
My scenario is SAP(ABAP Proxy) - XI - Web service. I can not see any messages in XI when I run the Proxy program, when I check for the outbound messages from SXMB_MONI in SAP system the message status is "Scheduled" and Q.Status shows "Message waiting in Queue" .   What could be the message status if the outbound proxy is successful?
Can someone let me know what could be the problem and where I can check for entire scenario for these problesm?
Thanks
Suresh

Hi,
If this is not a Production System means,
goto SMQ2 and delete all the Strucked Messages in all the Queues.
And now goto SMQR say De-Register Queueus and
goto SXMB_ADM--Manage Queues--Just say Register Queues
Now Trigger your Report Program to send the data to XI.
Check in R/3 side as well as in Xi side also in the T-code SXMB_MONI for Successfully processed messages.

  • Issues with ABAP Proxy in XI 3.0

    Hi,
We are on XI 3.0.  We are doing a scenario of file >XI> R/3 (ABAP Proxy).
The XML message is going to R/3 with no errors as indicated in the monitors on both XI and R/3.  The XML messages has the status of 'Message Processed'.  But, the proxy never gets executed.  Is there a step I must perform to execute the Proxy?  My understanding is that if the Receiver Communication Channel is of XI type, it will automatically execute the Proxy on the R/3 (receiving) system.
We tested the proxy using the report SPRX_TEST_INBOUND, and it works as expected.
    Please advise.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Doo

    Hi Doo,
how do you know, that the proxy was not called?
If you are missing database updates, check if you have a commit work in the code.

iOS 5.1 or iPhone Configuration Profile 3.5 for Windows has not fixed the issue with apply Proxy Settings via a Configuration Profile. Has anyone else got the same issue? Are Mac users got this issue?

This seems to be working for me now but will keep monitoring it the next couple of times I use it to make sure its not a one time thing

  • Error with ABAP proxy

    Hi all,
I have an ABAP proxy - XI - Webservice scenario, in the XI side we are getting error saying input data not coming in. How to check weather proxy is triggering the actual payload or data?
There has been a change in the WSDL from the Webservices side, they have changed the data type, so we too updated the mapping in XI. So do we need to change anything in the ABAP program which triggers the proxy,
how do I check weather proxy is triggering data or not?
I want to see weather its problem with the ABAP trigger program.
    Thanks,
    Srinivas

    Hi ramakrishna,
Does R/3 side SXMB_MONI give successful chequered flag when the message is processed?
Because for correctly processed message, the data is being updated in the table, but I can't see the chequered flag on the R/3 side.
But for the wrongly processed ones its showing PL_TIMEOUT error and showing red flag on R/3 side, this is what I see on the R/3 side:

  • "SOAP:Fault" in scenario with ABAP proxy client

    Hello,
    I realized the scenario CRM40_Basis620(ABAP proxy client)->XI->File.
    XI:
The sender communication channel is a XI adapter (Parameters: HTTP 1.0, XI 3.0, Integration Server, Security profile unchecked, Security level - HTTP).
    CRM:
    The proxy generation is ok.
    SLDCHECK is ok.
    All RFC destinations are ok.
APPINT_200_620 for CRM was installed and configured well (I think so, but...).
When I ran the ABAP proxy client on CRM, sxmb_moni(CRM) returned the text for the XML Message (Display-CallIntegrationServer-Payloads-TraceDocument):

    Hi Roman
There is no need for an XI adapter for client proxy.... we only use that for server proxies.

    Hi,
Proxies communicate with the XI server by means of native SOAP calls over HTTP .RFC does not, so you have to convert from SOAP to RFC calls and vice versa. So XML conversion is required.
ABAP Proxies uses Webservice and Http Protocols. And if you use RFC it is mainly meant for Sync. call. But Proxies is used for both Sync and Async.
If you use ABAP Proxy , you can reduce the overhead calling the function again and again.

    Re: JDBC Sender select/update problem
If u generate proxy for outbound interface then its client proxy and for inbound interface its server proxy.
In client proxy u can call the method to send messages but u can't modify it but in server proxy its possible to write a user code within the method to execute proxy.
    CLIENT PROXY:
A WSDL description from a UDDI server (or an Internet page) is usually used to make a service executable in the Internet and to describe the interface of this service. You require a client proxy and not a server proxy to call this service by using the Web service infrastructure.
    SERVER PROXY:
You can only generate ABAP server proxies from a WSDL description if they originate in the Integration Repository. You can also generate server proxies for Java and client proxies for ABAP from message interfaces.
s refer these doc about ABAP proxy ..

  • SAP Query format issue (with ABAP list)

    Hi All,
I had a requirement to remove all unecessary formatting and text from a SAP query report which can be read by a third party software system. We need only Header line and  report data (spaced by Tab).
I have removed all formatting from the report and changed the output format from "SAP list viewer" to "ABAP list" .
The issue is that the report shows material number with 12 digits in output but when we download to file then it adds extra six "0" and makes the Material Number field as 18 digit.
we have already maintained new length as 12 againts the standard length 18 for material number(under field output option)
Please suggest how to get rid of extra digits generated during downloading.
    Please help,
    Thanks,
    Rohit

    Hi Brad,
Currently we execute query with SQ01 and from the output screen the user direclty saves the file as "local file..."
The output format is "abap list". We are able to get the exact format but the only problem is with material number. I cant make changes in the program. Is there a way to download it without changing the 12 character ( as displayed on the report output)
    Thanks for help.

I have been experiencing this same issue lately on a couple of newly built servers (analyze works, update/download fail), including on a 32 bit x86 machine I just installed yesterday from the 11/06 CDs (default install packages). One difference I noticed between a machine that works and one that doesn't is that the working machine has a two files in the /var/sadm/spool/cache/entitlement folder, while the failing machine has only one - it's missing the .lmd file.
Here is the requested info from my failing server.

  • Issue with ABAP program execution from process chains

    Hi All:
We have a process chain with 3 steps, each of them executing the same program with three different variants. The program is ftp's the file from APO's dataexchange (mount) to another ftp server. The first variant transfers file A to a directory in the external ftp server (say /X) . The second and the third variants are supposed to transfer different files, B and C to the same directory.
That is where the problem is. After the process chain is successful, I see two files B and C but the contents are same and that of C. So, if I switch the steps in the PC to bring in A then C and then B, I see files B and C with content of C. I tried C then A then B. I see the file names correct but now the contents are A, A then B.
Have any of you come across this issue? Do you know that these is an existing problem? IF you have a solution, pl. let me know.
    Thanks
    Narayanan

    Narayanan,
Instead of doing it in three steps - would it be possible for you to have one UNIX script or equivalent doing the above and calling the same from your process chain ...?
We do a lot of FTPs but then our file names are standard and we have a UNIX script for the same executed using a system command through a process chain and it has been working without issues for the past 1 year ...
Maybe I have not got your situation properly ... some more detail on the program details and what you are doing in more detail would help....  also SP levels please..

  • Memory Issues with ABAP WD in Portal

    Hi Team,
I have two Web Dynpro Applications running on the Portal. Lets say the user in the middle of one application and clicks on the menu URL of another application, the memory of the first application is still utilized in the background and not freed up. My specific questions:
    1) Should we do something explicitly in our WDA application to cleanup the memory? If yes, how? (Should we use some kind of exit plug etc.) I don't know what event or plug gets triggered when a new application is activated on the portal.
    2) Is there any profile parameter, Portal parameter or any kind of script/configuration we should write separately to free up the memory.
    3) Should we do something on the portal side to take care of this.
    4) Is there a best practice or design recommendation regarding this
    Any pointers/help would be appreciated.
    Regards

First WDA is stateful, so design apps and nested calls around this fact.
You can definitely clean out memory of unused tables.
    See the FREE statement.
You can also try the SUSPEND and resume plugs.  Assume other tool can do
resume call. Special URL parameters required.  This might free memory as the context is rolled out.
It would be rolled back in when called back.  I would need to check that ROLL OUT takes place. See transaction STATTRACE and watch what happens when you call the suspend plug to confirm the roll out occurs.
Is the memory being used in ABAP or on the PORTAL ?
If it is in the portal this has nothing to do with WDA.
Perhaps the portal forum can help more there.
    Best practice.
    Yes dont use memory unnecessarily.
EG DATA statements for internal tables can have INITIAL size to avoid 16k allocations.
FREE Tables and other objects if no longer needed.
If you have MANY WDA apps all storing (caching ) the same data, use shared memory objects.  See Blogs and other SDN posts that explain how to write a shared memory objects in ABAP OO.  This is 1 object in memory that could have an attribute that was an internal table.
A nice way to 1 table and not 100s or 1000s depending on how many users concurrently access your app.
    Cheers
    Phil.

  • Issue with the Proxy

    Hi
I am having a problem generating proxies for an Asynchronous call. When the proxy is generated in the sandbox the method EXECUTE_ASYNCHRONOUS is created.
However a method is generated with the PI message interface name.
For example: if the message interface face name in PI is ZMI_MaterialClientProxy, the proxy is generated with a method name ZMI_MATERIAL_CLIENT_PROXY.
    Please Help!
    Thanks & Regards.

    Hi ,
      Assume your message interface as'ZMI_MaterialClientProxy'
if you generate proxy by consider prefix as 'ZPR' and packageas '$tmp'.
then your proxy class generated with  ZPR_CO_ZMI_MaterialClientProxy"
       method generated with 'EXECUTE_ASYNCHRONOUS'.(for outbound)
methos generated as ZPR_II_ZMI_MaterialClientProxy~EXECUTE_ASYNCHRONOUS (for inboud)
    warm regards
