Issue with display of decimal places

Hi,
In our custom built components we are facing a strange issue with the display decimals where the data type of an element is "QUAN - Quantity field, points to a unit field with format UNIT".
If the element has a value of 3000.000 KG the value is displayed as 3000. Where as for an element which has a value 3000.123 KG the same is displayed as it is with the decimals. We tried to resolve the issue by using Text editor or Input field as read only but in vain. The display property in the context are set to default.
If we change the element data type reference to "Dec - Counter or amount field with Comma and Sign" then all the values are displayed with the decimal places even if decimals are zero.
As a result we are facing alignment issues for the various quantity related elements displayed on the screen. To change the underlying data type of the element is a not a solution for us as the data type quan is required for conversion from one unit to another unit.
Can someone please advise how we could resolve this issue. We are on NW 7.0 + EHP4 + NW 7.01 SP4, kernel patch level 55 for 7.01

Jameel, Thanks for the answer but this is a not a solution for us. We have around 40-50 webdynpro components and with mutliple views referring to this data element / domain combination. More so the context are bound to database tables / structures .
I hope to get a reply from Thomas on possible solution for this. I am not sure if I can open an support ticket for this issue.

Issue with displaying summary in the Page Bottom

Hi Friends,
I have an issue with displaying summary in the page bottom. for this i am using command BOTTOM and ENDBOTTOM in Main Window.
I designed 2 pages are First and Next, in the first it displays PO Header details and Item details in the Main window and also Item details continuious in the Next Page also.
If the lines are enough in Bottom then it displays the summary. But if the lines are not enough in bottom then it does not trigger the new page, so that it doesn't displays the Summary in Bottom.
for ex: Total lines of the page 50 and Bottom required 15 lines. In the next page contains upto 35 lines, it triggers the Bottom.
But if the lines are more than 35 and below than 50, it does not trigger the new page so that it does not shows the bottom.
Please help me on the same, this is very urgent.I will give a rewatrd if it is helful.

Try with printing the bottom data with Protect and ENDPROTECT along with your Bottom and endbottom.
Eg: Protect
bottom
text
endbottom
endprotect.

Issue with displaying Greek characters in Oracle 11.1

We are having issues with display of Non-English language (for ex Greek) text on Pega-PRPC. The text is stored in a reference table in Oracle DB. However there is not need of translation in PRPC as it has the capability of displaying non-english language also.
I believe that it is a issue with DB settings, although not sure of what is the setting.

Performance Issue With Displaying Candidate Details for iRecruitment

We are in EBS R12.1.3 when we trying to display the Candidate Details page in iRecruitment iRecruitment >vacancies>applicants> click on applicant> the page spins for a quite whille to show the results and some times we see the 500 errors..

How to display 2 decimal places using DecimalFormat?

Hi, i would like to display an account balance from database using child.getAccountBal(). Before that, i want to use DecimalFormat to display 2 decimal places. I would like to know whether the codes below are correct. Can anybody guide me? Thanks.

os you must return a String instead of a double.

Issue with displaying text in BEx

Hi all,
We are facing an issue with displaying text in the query output.
We have a master data carrying charac ' 0MATERIAL'.When i do maintain master data ,I am able to see medium description in the output.
Now when i drag 0MATERIAL in bex designer and in properties set display to key and text(medium text), it shows me only the key and it shows some wierd text which is in no way related to the medium description ( that was shown under maintain master data)
can anyone pls tell me why i am not able to see the medium description when executing the query that too when the text is loaded.

Nothing will happen to your data.
Its showing there ...dosent that mean its present and activated?
They are present n in active version.
If u change any records they will be in M version..by activating the data...u are converting it to A version.

U261B An Issue due to 3 Decimal Places in Percentage - Help Required

I've an Issue in BEX report output, which is like when I try to create a 'Percentage' computation on a Key Figure Value, I'm getting 3 decimal places as 'default' output.
The 'Calculations' settings I made for this KF is

Hi, I posted a message to SAP on this topic and got an explanation - it is a behaviour that cannot be changed in certain cases:
it is the known design that it is always displayed with three decimal
places for normalized values and the setting in Query Designer for
decimal place doesn't take effect. This is because that normalization
changes the number dimension of this structure element.
You may refer to below notes about more details.

You cannot set the number of decimal places or the scaling for some
columns or structural components.
For 2: Some "Calculate As" functions change the number dimension of a
KID. In this case, the scaling and the number of decimal places set for
the KID are no longer relevant. In this case, the system ignores the
original setting and selects a setting that corresponds to the new
number dimension. This cannot be overwritten. The following functions
are affected:
Calculate Single Values as Scale to Result, Overall Result or Query
Result: Scaling 1 and three decimal places.

As a result, normalized values resulting from the list calculation are
displayed with three decimal places and without scaling by default.

Some urgent chart issues : Lost labels & erroneous decimal places

Hello everybody,
we have some new and really urgent problems with some charts.
Lost labels
Like you can see in the figure below, our charts sometimes loose some lables on the graphs.There are some different scenarios for the problem.
1) Two neighbouring bars have similar values and similar height. So the labels would overlap. In that cases, the charts loose one of the two labels. (see the yellow markers on the bars in the figure below)
2) A chart´s graph tends to the maximum scale of its surrounding container div. The chart components then often "decide", that they do not have enough space for a label and so do not display these labels (line in figure below).
Is there any possibility to fix these problems? Manipulating the charts via css doesn´t work, because the missing elements are not created at all. So there isn´t any element in the DOM that could be adressed.
Erroneous decimal places
In addition to the problems above, we have another one that causes ugly headaches. The values in some charts have 14 decimal places. Settings in the query (we use BW queries as DataSrc) or in the initial view are completely effectless. First we supposed that the problem correlates with some chart types, but in the meanwhile we get the problem with almost all types.
Is anybody out there with similar problems or any ideas to fix the problem?

thank you for your very quick response. I´m working with IE 10.0.9200 and Design Studio 1.2 SP1. The Application runs normally on a BOE-Server. but the problems occur even when i run the application locally.

Displaying 3 decimal places?

Hi,
I have a bespoke program which picks up lines from bsis and displays them on a screen, the user then selects a few lines and the program posts them using program RFBIBL00.
Currently this program is working perfectly but I have a few countries which work with 3 decimal places instead of 2 and the program isn't picking this up.
I've found that table TCURX holds currencies which have 3 decimal places but I want to know how I change all my internal tables and screen fields to suddenly have 3 decimal places instead of 2? My internal tables and screen fields are all based on fields from BSIS and I have ALV grids and individual screen fields. Do I need to duplicate all of the amount fields, one set to have 2 decimal places and the other to have 3?
Any suggestions welcome.

OK, I've figured this out.
If you define your screen fields (on the screen not in your data declarations) as CURR not DEC as mine were then you can put in a field as a reference. I defined a new field (not a screen one) which held the currency for the screen. If I define all my currency amount fields with 3 decimal places but refer them all to the currency field then they appear as 2 or 3 decimals places depending on the currency.

Here I am printing the net valve in to smartforms.The problem is, valve i want to print is 4505.600.But it is displaying as 45056.00.It is in OMR currency. This problem occurs only for this currency.i am picking the value from PO.
I have used komv-kwert feild for display. Please give me the solution

I have faced similar problem in my Smartform with currency JPY with no decimal places at all.
To resolve this you have to specify Reference Currency with the Currency type under Global Definitions-->Currency/Quant.Fields. For example take your case :
Fieldname Reference Field Data Type
WA_FINAL-KWERT W_WAERS C CURR
*Here W_WAERS should contain OMR
*WA_FINAL-KWERT sould contain 45056.00 then your output will look like 4505.600

Issue with Display Profiles

Hi eb,
I have a problem with Display profiles. When 2 users are log in, my display profil switch to "Generic RGB" and I cannot change it to any other profil.
When I restart and log in one user - everything is ok. When I log in second user display profile set to Generic RGB and issue start. When I log out one of them situation is same and issue persist.
I tryed run Color Sync Utility > Profile First Aid , but no problems found.
Had anybody same issue?

Do you mean, you need to display ignoring the decimal value???
If so you can declare a variable of same lenght of type N and move the value, that will do the task.
By default when we move numerical values it brings leading ZEROES.
If the requirement is to remove the leading zeroes move to a integer type variable.

Number formatting with either 2 decimal places or none

Hello,
I'm using Acrobat 8 in XP and not familiar with Javascript.
I have some dollar amount fields where I need it to be number formatted, and limited to 2 decimal places but leave the user the ability to enter only an integer.
ie, go to two decimal places if any of

> .000(...)
are present but leave it off if none are present.
I assume I need a custom format script but I've not been able to learn enough to figure it out yet.
If anyone can give me some code I can edit and paste, that would be great. Any help is appreciated.
