Hi guys,I don´t know if it is a off-topic here or if someone is interested.
I was developing a DSP program i Java. All I told that I was developing this software
said it was impossible. The JVM is very heavy, is an interpreted language etc. But it is working
and with a good performance. Is a SDR (software defined radio) software, it is not finished but if anybody

As I have written in the blog posting, I'm really new to JavaScript, just started 1 1/2 month ago and I'm currently on page 351 (total 994) of the JavaScript - The Definitive Guilde. So if you look at my code and think, man are you crazy, why you write that much code to do that, it's a simple regular expression and you are done! Please let me know!
The JavaScript stuff was more work as I thought (especially if it should work with Firefox and IE), you really appreciate the build in TO_DATE and TO_NUMBER and it's flexibility when you have to implement that by yourself. :-)
At least I haven't found a JavaScript validation toolbox which is compatible with the format mask settings of Oracle.
Call for testing:
-) I want know if the format mask checks I implemented work for all the combinations out there. The weird American ones with AM/PM and the month at be beginning should also work ;-)
-) If the inline error display also works with other themes and userdefined label templates.
So please plug it into your application and do a test drive of the new Ferrari! ;-)

First of all I have to say I'm a mac freak and i will never ever switch back to windows, but in some rare cases there is a lack of software, for example special software, like engineering software cad or fem software.
In this cases, I need windows to continue working.
Three weeks ago I sucessfully installed windows xp sp2 on my new mac mini intel single core, and the only thing I wanted to know was, could it be done -
Yes , but it was nothing for standard user i would say.Main problem was that windows must be installed on the first partition, which slowed down os x on the second, not all drivers were available and bootmangement was not like i had expected - I deletet xp and restored my os x.Keeping in mind that xp could run on my mm -
Today I installed win xp sp2 using bootcamp beta and i have to say that it was amazing, like landing on the moon.
Bootcamp solves the main lack of the installation, which i was confronted 2 weeks before - partitioning on the fly out of os x !!! and it uses the 2. partition for xp , which results that os x is running on the fast first partition.
These are the steps for the mac mini moonlanding:
1x xp sp2 cd, 1x cdr
1.) I did the firmware update
2.) Started bootcamp and bruned driver cd (83MB)
3.) Restarted into osx & started bootcamp again, clicked install xp again
4.) booted into xp and installed +restarted to xp
5.) installed all drivers from bruned cdr (auto)
6.) yeah all drivers are avaiable , even analog sound
7.) Restarted holding down option-key (alt-key)
8.) restarted to os x
10.) opened sys-pref in osx and marked osx as default startvolume
11.) continued living with two os'es on my mac mini!

Well, Microsoft does write Windows, you can't get rid of Microsoft all together and keep using Windows! If anything, this is a win against Dell or other vendors who sell hardware for Windows. It could be a boon for Microsoft to sell more copies of Windows, if anything.

The simplest method would be to ask them for their Snow Leopard version and say you can't upgrade to 10.7 or 10.8. I'm almost sure they will sell you a copy.
Generally if your machine can only upgrade to 10.7 Lion and not directly to 10.8 Mountain Lion, then it's best left on 10.6.8. in my opinion as your going to loose too much other software and slow down your machine in the process.
This rapid OS X upgrade cycle has caused plenty of problems for users and developers alike, so I suspect you will find a sympathizer with the developer.
In fact I'm not recommending Mac's to anyone anymore because Apple simply has lost touch with reality.

Developp with LabVIEW for PC but need to compile for MAC

Hello,
My customer has a LabVIEW Professionnal development suite for Windows. All the applications should be running under Windows but one (a file viewer) needs to run under both Mac OS and Windows. How can I acheive this? Do my customer needs to buy another licence? Would an application compiled under windows runs on a Mac if the LabVIEW run-tine engine for Mac is deployed?
By the way, the application doesn't use any OS related VIs...

You will need to compile the application on a Mac (there is no cross platform compiler). Then you should be able to deploy tothe customers Mac with a run-time engine.

I have a 2006 Lexus RX330 and want to play my nano 6th generation through radio. Don't want to use 'tape cassette'. What FM transmitters are really good? I have wireless bluetooth for phone but doesn't work for music.

There are so many FM transmitters ranging from $2.00 to $100.00. I have a tape cassette in car and an old cassette adapter that doesn't work well and makes noise. The car has bluetooth wireless for iPhone but does not play music (unless I just couldn't figure this out. I want the best transmitter for city driving, but one that doesn't cost too much. Any success stories?

For anyone following, I looked further into the tape cassette adapter and it seems to get the best reviews vs. FM transmitter. Guess there is a good reason that I have the last year model with a tape cassette. Worth mentioning is the Maxell one gets a better review than the Monter one. Not sure why, but it's cheaper. Anyone else find a good quality tape cassette adapter?

How do I turn on sound alert for calls but turn off sound for txt

At night, I want to be able to hear if I get a call, but I do not want to hear if I get a txt mssg. I went into setting/txt/sounds and turned it off, and had a ring tone selected for calls, but when I get calls I do not hear the ring tone.

To do this you will need to go to Settings>Notifications>Do Not Disturb and from there sellect "Allow Calls From" to everyone. This will mean that if you schedule Do Not Disturb at Night time, only Calls will make alerts and ring whereas other notifications will be silenced.

Music disappearing to cloud/multiples of one song/entire album gone but one song and not in cloud

I noticed yesterday that some of my music has disappeared into the cloud and it shows 9 copies of that one song when I only have one and another entire album is gone except for one song and the rest of the album that disappeared is not in he cloud. How can I get this fixed?? does anyone know why it's doing this? Can I get the album back that has disappeared? Is anyone else having this issue??

Could be a corrupt download of that Song...

I've been trying to get my head around this QT 10 vs QT 7 vs whatever else there is, and I have to say, as brilliant as I am, I don't get it. Not one bit of it. When I upgraded to Snow Leopard I lost my quicktime pro, and I get instead a quicktime that has the stupidest editing "feature" I've encountered anywhere: oh great, I can cut the beginning and end of a file. Nice work. It is counter-intuitive and totally lame. So what do I do? Dump it? Get QT 7? Someone on this site says 7 will not work with OS 10.6.blahblah. Where do I get a pro version of Quicktime? I don't want to Final Cut Express or iMovie when I have an itty bitty video clip that I need to trim and export into a different format. I mean, Apple: what is the what??

Thanks Kirk, but I did use Pacifist, and installed it. So problem solved but still I think its darn strange that we have two Quick Times, with different version numbers, and the "more advanced" number is actually the weaker product. But my QT 7x Pro is working fine. Thanks.

Hp all-in One remote prints test page but cannot find printer for anything else

The HP All-in-One application can print test pages on my 8610 but when I go to any document or photo and try to print I get the following message "This Printer is not available." I have checked and have the latest version of the HP All-in-one Printer Remote application and the HP Print Service Plugin applications from the Google Play store. I am using a Samsung Galaxy 5 running Android 5.0. If I print a page from my laptop using wireless to this printer, I can see the All-in-One application tracking my printer status so I know it can see the printer. The app on the phone will show the status under the printer name going from Ready to Unavailable to Ready as a document is printed and then finished. I am printing directly with local WIFI and am not using the ePrint feature.

I hope you have a pleasant experience here. I'd like to help you with the issues you are having printing from your Samsung Galaxy S5 to your HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One printer. Firstly, do you have the printer plugged directly into a wall outlet? The printer has a power moderator built in, so if it is plugged into a power surge bar or battery backup it may be getting inconsistent power. This can cause all kinds of firmware glitches (like the printer status not being broadcast properly). If that doesn't immediately resolve the issue, please follow the steps below: Network Power Reset: Let's leave the router on and unplug the power cable (NOTE: Do not reset the router.), then do the same with the printer, and shut down the computer. After a full minute, plug the router back in, wait for it to fully power up, then plug the printer back in and wait for the wireless light to become solid. Once both the router and printer are on, go ahead and turn the computer back on. Doing this will refresh the network connection. Restore Network Defaults and Reconnect: 1. On the front panel of the printer, touch your wireless icon at the top2. Select Settings.3. Select Restore Network Defaults.4. Restart your printer.5. Once it's booted back up, touch the wireless icon again.6. Select Settings.7. Select Wireless Setup Wizard and follow the prompts to enter your wireless network details.8. Try enabling the web services again. Another thing I would suggest, would be to download the HP ePrint app, rather than the All-in-One Remote. The Remote is moreso suited for scanning to your phone from your product, so I would suggest trying the ePrint app (you can download it from the Play Store). If the issue persists after these steps, please answer the following questions so I'm better able to assist: Are you able to print reliably from any other devices on your network?What brand and model of router are you using?What is it that you are trying to print? (ie. E-mail, photo, document)What app are you printing from? How can I deny write access to datalog files for all but one process in LV8?

In LabVIEW 7.1, wiring the deny mode terminal of Open File.vi with a Deny Write Only enum constant was an effective means for ensuring that only one process could write to a datalog file at a time. In LabVIEW 8.0, Open File.vi is no longer available and the new Open/Create/Replace Datalog vi does not provide a deny mode terminal. Also, the new Deny Access vi does not support datalog files. Furthermore, the Set Permissions vi is an unsatisfactory solution because under the Windows operating system, it simply sets the Read Only file attribute. This is inadequate because I have demonstrated that it is still possible for two processes to open a datalog file with read/write access before either one has had a chance to set the Read Only file attribute in order to lock out the file. If a process sets the Read Only file attribute first, then it can't open the file with read/write access for itself.
Does anyone understand the file mechanism by which deny mode used to work with the old Open File.vi? I wish to restore the functionality I had in LV 7.1 in my LV 8 programs.

Unfortunately
the functionality you mention does not work in the way the deny mode in
the LabVIEW nodes works. Basically that deny mode is converted to an
according FILE_SHARE_READ/FILE_SHARE_WRITE value and passed to the
Win32 API CreateFile function. This is more or less the only place
where you can define a global share (or deny) access to a file. That is
also why the Deny Access node online help is talking about that the
file is reopened.
But I just retried what you had tried to do, and low and behold it
works with wiring a datalog refnum to Deny Access. What is important
here however is that you do need to wire a datatype to the record type
input of the Open/Create/Replace Datalog node. Otherwise you can't
connect the resulting datalog refnum to any other file function, since
it is an incomplete datatype.

Ps Actions work for all but one person in office. Same Software... Alignment bug/settings?

I have created two photoshop actions that convert a PDF into jpg pages, and then slices those pages into pre-sized pieces, and saves the pieces out individually. Two versions, for two differently sized PDFs.
We use this in the office for creating a "book" visual from a tricky indesign file.
Both actions work fine for me.
Both actions work fine for coworker#1.
However, when Coworker #2 uses either of these actions, the chopped up pieces to not align properly in photoshop, and instead leave blank sections where they should have been merged together. (align box A top. Align box A to Shape_gutter. the second step never happens.
This 'error' occurs on both PDF Styles' actions for cowroker#2, so I'm assuming it has to be a setting? We are all running the same version of photoshop (Up to Date CC 2014), and testing on the same files.
anyone have any insight?

Everything is not exactly the same you state one is different. There is something different in the mix. A broken file a bug in the install in the system there is a difference some place. You see different results... Perhaps a different level of code are plug-ins involved other actions etc.
Post the action let us look at it/them.
