Item data in smartform

hi,
in my main window i am having 5 columns.
out of which one column contains the item datas like:
for one delivery order in second column it should have:
description
(code no) no  of packs
type of material.
for this should i create 4 text elements?
and in each text element i will pass one one field?

Yes, u r doing correct,
before that u define 2 lines at Table Node on Table Tab.

    I'm currently designing a confirmation of order using Adobe PDF forms. The general layout with tables, pictures and texts was not big deal.
    But one tiny bit doesn't work and I'm becoming more and more desperate about it.
    We need various free texts for our pdf form. I created the texts using smartform texts. Some of these texts need to be slightly dynamic, so I added some dynamic fields in it.
    For example:
         "The material is currently out of stock.You can expect shipping around week &num_week&."
    To replace the dynamic field &num_week& in my interface, I read that I have to name the dynamic field exactly like the corresponding field in my interface. In my case this would be now:
         "The material is currently out of stock.You can expect shipping around week &SLS_PRT_COM-ITEM_DETAIL-ZZ_EXTRAFIELDS-ZZWEEKNUM&."
    To see the text on my form, I added a text object with type 'text module' and the proper textname. Of course I'm able to insert text on my form, save and activate it without problems. But if I want to print the form, nothing happens as the print program exits with an error code.
    After some hours I found out that this problem only occurs if I'm trying to replace the dynamic field with a field from the item table. Using a field from head details or globals like sy-mandt works like a charm.
    So my question is: Is it possible to use item data to replace dynamic fields of a smartform text?

    do you mean you have 2 header data n corresponding line items or do you have 2 internal tbale data or something else.

  • Reg: Printing multiple lines of line item in a smartform?

    Hi Experts,
    I have a query regarding printing multliple line items in a smartform. In this form i dont have control on the font size because the client is using some generic type format to print the data in EPSON LQ 590.
    Here this generic type drivers, it has his own default font.
    If i print using the normal EPSON LQ 590 drivers, alignment is perfectly fine. But in generic case its totally different.
    My query is in my item row there are 7 columns. If one of the column exceeds the space which i have assigned for that particular cell, it should go to next line automatically. How should i do this?
    Then there should be a line space between 2 rows of data.  How should i do this?
    Please help me on this.
    Another query is date is getting displayed as 19.07.2009, due to the space problem in that particular cell i need to display as 19.07.09. Please tell me how should i do this also?

    Use smartstyles for the same to mke sure it goes into next line. Also you can set space between 2 lrows to one line.
    For the date issue..use the following piece of code...
    DATA: w_date TYPE sy-datum,
                w_char TYPE char8.
    CONCATENATE w_date+6(2) w_date+4(2) w_date+2(2) INTO w_char SEPERATE BY '.'.

    create another loop node of table tax information under the main loop with condition that is having same field in common... then create text elements  to display the following data
    VAT:2%
    Service Tax: 3%

    i have a header table with 3 records and item with 10 records.. i am passing both of them to the function module ( fm_name) and then in the smartform i have to get 3 pages output. but right now i am getting only one page..
    to display the header data i am using secondary windows and for displaying the item data i am using tables node in the main window ( in the data tab of the tables node i am giving it as loop it_item1 into wa_item1 ). before the header row of that table node i have created a table node and in that i am prearing the item table it_item..as

    if h_idx LE h_lines.
    READ TABLE i_hdr into wa_hdr index h_idx.
    if sy-subrc eq o.

    this is what i am doing it right now.. and at the last row in the footer of table node i have created a command node and in that i have selected the option go to page : first page.

    You try ur logic in
    do                      ---endo.
    after describing the table .
    Do the loop for the number of records available.
    i.e. as per your logic.
    describe table i_hdr line h_lines.
    do h_lines times.
    put your above code and enddo.

    I have two flat files one is BOM(Bill Of Material) header data and BOM item data. BOM header is already created, now I want to create BOM item data with reference to the header data. Is there any standard direct batch input method in LSMW or Is there any standard BAPI or Is there any standard BDC report program to do the task? CS01 is the TCode to create BOM.

    The DI program works for create step CS01 and not for CS02.
    Perhaps this ( adding items in header by Tx: CS02 ) could be achieved by a Recording step in LSMW.

    Can anybody confirm BADI ME_GUI_PO_CUST will acheive desired functionality for above posted issue!
    Functionality: Adding new custom fields to confirmation tab. During Inbound delivery in confirmation tab (Item data) if 'Confirmation category' is selected then the new custom fields should show up below for input & they can be saved.
    if 'Confirmation category' is not selected then new custom fields should be invisible.

    In a Purchase Order, under Item data < delivery schedule tab, we have delivered quantity, issued quantity and GR quantity fields.
    Is there any TABLE to find out these quantities against PO.

  • Difference b/w Header and Item data........

    Hi,
        What is the difference between Header data and Item data ? Please tell me in detail.

    In SAP we have the various Level of Data...
    for example of a Sales Document.
    The Sales Header Data would Contain various bussiness flowws how the document should behave should it be a Sales Order or a Quotation or A frwee of charge delivery.
    Now the Item which you enter in the order the materails I mean will have the controls from the Item Data that you maintain in the Item categories.
    The Sales Order next to be delievered by a delivery so these data goes to the schedule line level control.....

    Hello, I am interested in learning more on this new feature. We have requirements for ServiceItems we are planning on implementing services using SI, but most likely won't occur until we upgrade to 10R2.  I have been reading 9.4 documentation for ServiceItems and find it difficult to follow. Are there other sources or resources to assist with learning how to use a serviceitem? Outside training is not an option.  Thanks again.  Bev

    I am creating a sales order Using Interactive forms. In the form i am having Header data and line item data.I had created two structures one for Header data and one for Line item data. For entering  the LINE ITEM DATA i had created a Dynamic table with Buttons ADD ROW and DELETE ROW.
    User will Add the Row or Delete the Row based on the requirement.
    My issue is When ever the user clicks the SUBMIT button after entering the header data and 3 line items data , Sales order has been created with only first line item and the remaining two line items are not created.

    Hi,
    The item data is not read because, the dynamically added rows should also reflect back to the Web Dynpro context. When the user clicks on Add Row, use the Onsubmit event to add a empty line to internal table and then bind it to the context. And if the user removes a row, remove a row from internal table and bind it back to the context.

    I have a Sales Orders cube which is pulling data from two DSOs (one for sales order item data and the other for sales order schedule data). The common fields between these two DSOs is the Sales Order number but in my cube I have dual entries for each Sales Order document (item and schedule info).
    Example of how the data looks now:

    Two previous remarks:
    1) If you need to report on very detailed data consider doing an info-set joining both datastores. 2 reasons why:
    - not a good idea to report on very detailed information (sales order, GI dates) on cube level, if you have a scenario with lots of data. You end up with big dimension tables a poor report times;
    - there are better alternatives, like drill-through from cube query to DS query with report to report interface or Datastore-based reporting...so...
    With this solution you do not need to change the data model, I think, but test to be sure. See if the reporting times are acceptable. If not...
    2) First confirm your requirements, because what you show in your example as "to-be" have details that do not make sense, probably..
    - if you have more that one schedule line for each item then you would have many times the item information like material/price;
    - if not or if you could cope with that, then you can consider:
    2.1) create a new DS that agregattes from the previous on, with the same key of sales order item; do you have schedule line kf's? if so you these KF's should be additive in DS update; But if you may have more one scheduled line for 1 item then you have to decide what to do with the GI data (keep the last one posted, use code..) and other characteristics.
    2.2) update the shedule line datasource to the sales order item DS; same comments apply.
    2.3) maintain the missing data in the cube update rules from sheduled lines DS. Using code, refer to the respective item in the order item ODS. You would have to make sure that DS's data are correctly activated before updating the infocube.
    What solutions to choose?
    2.1 is better in terms of flexibility and architecture...because you could re-arrange the new DS to answer future needs, without loosing the 1st line DS's data;
    2.2 choose if data volumes and disk space are a concern...
    or
    2.3 it's OK, but i do not like it because of what explained in point 1...
