Item Inventory

Experts,
Is it possible to count the inventory of 2 items into 1 item.
sample :
Item1 = 3
Item2 = 4
Item3 = 7
and the item that I will issue is Item3, without identifying if it is Item1 or item2.
thanks
charles

Guys,
I have the answer, what I did is I use BOM
BOM1      Item3 one is to one with Item1
BOM2     Item3 one is to one with item2
I think this will work

  • Item cost not found for one or more items - Inventory Posting

    Good Day Mentors,
My user has encountered an error during Inventory Posting and its "Item cost not found for one or more items".
The specific Message ID from SAP's System Message Log is 10001287.
I found a similar post which addresses this error here.
But unfortunately it did not help me solve my user's problem.
I already checked if the items had a defined "Item Cost" in the Item Master Data Inventory Tab, and they all have "Item Cost" defined.
I'm not sure if this will help, but below is the Inventory Audit Report of one of the items that is throwing the "Item cost not found" error.
I am not a business consultant neither am I literate in accounting, so thanks for the patience.
    SAP Version: 9.0 PL5
    Valuation Method: Moving Average
    Thanks in advance!
    Sean

    Hi Augusto and Raviraj,
I've already verified in our production database the points you made:
    - Is the "Manage Item cost per warehouse" selected in the Basic Initialization Screen?
    YES
    - Is the "Manage Inventory by Warehouse" ticked/checked in the "Inventory Data" tab of the "Item Master Data" screen?
    YES
    * I apologize for not have been able to give this information upfront.
Anyway, the database only has one warehouse at the moment.
I've checked the items, like the item in the screen shot above, and it does have an item cost.
Below is the screenshot of the sample item from my original post,
    Thanks in advance!

  • Obsolete / Inactive Items/ Inventory Report

When we have an item that we no longer need to purchase, we go to the product, under the purchasing tab and change the status from active to inactive. We also change the status on the sales tab when the product is obsolete and we can no longer sell it. Is there way to get a report that shows all the products that we have with the status of inactive? If not, how does everyone else manage their aged/obsolete inventory in SAP by Design?
    thanks
    Kari

    Gordon
I am not sure why on one hand you indicate that it is not that difficult to write the report for ourselves, yet say that there are too many variables. These seem to be contradictory statements.
It seems that since this would be of common benefit to nearly all SAP B1 customers, SAP would want to add it as a future release level report.
I understand that there are cost variables, but why couldn't there be a pull down menu to select the price table such as with the Inventory In Warehouse Report? In that report, the user is given the option to assign the desired price source.
Again, it seems as if this would be of common benefit and is worthy of SAP resources.

  • Material document line item - inventory valuation affected ?

    Hello
In the framework of building a stock report, I'm trying to know if a material document line item has affected inventory valuation that is to say if a corresponding accounting document line item has been posted.
    Explored solutions :
    - there is no link between MSEG and BSEG
    - I tried to look at Quantity string (BUSTM) in MSEG and looked at Quantity strings parameters in T156M but couldn't find a parameter of the value string mentionning if it affects inventory valuation or not
Thanks a lot in advance for your inputs
    Regards

    Hi,
MKPF is for material document header table MSEG is for material document item table
Creation date will be at the header table, use document number to link both the tables.

  • High Priority Items Inventory Alert

    Hello All --
    Thoughts on this...
I would like a report that indicates when we are either low or out of stock of inventory.  However, I don't want a general report that just tells us when ALL inventory is low or is out of stock.
Rather, we would like the report to update us only when certain high priority products are low or out of stock.
What's the best way to go about doing this?
    Thanks!
    Mike

    Hi Gordon --
In answer to your question, the query shows the following:
    Style #...Color...Total Qty...L Size Qty..L Size %
This is very close to what we are looking for.  The gap is that it only shows the data for a single size -- Large.  It sounds like we would have to run separate Queries for each of the other sizes.
Ideally, the Query would indicate whenever 1 or more of the sizes fall below the minimum %  (or qty) set. Initially, I envisioned it looking something like this:
Style #...Color...Total Qty...S Size Qty...S Size %...M Size Qty...M Size %..., etc. for rest of sizes.
However, this may not be the best format and a lot of data to look through.  You suggested an alternative which I am certainly open to...just not sure what you mean by it.
The ultimate goal is to have a report that will help us identify when inventory falls below a critical level (either by % or amt -- % would be more accurate as sizes are not purchased equally) ) for high priority products.
Bishal -- thanks for the suggestion.  Have not set up the alert function - thought a query would better achieve what we are looking for as it is all combined in a single report.
Gordon - can you send example of Query you are suggesting?
    Thanks!

  • Purchasing - A/P Transaction Processing for Services and Non Inventory Item

On of the main areas of concern that businesses have is in the area of Purchasing, Goods Receipts and AP Invoices Processing - There is a requirement that businesses have widely referred to as 3-way matching.
While SAP Business One has this functionality covered quiet well via the following, there is still some need for enhancements so that the application can correctly reflect the AP Accruals:
    - Purchase Order processing with Approval Process (if configured)
    - Ability to perform Goods Receipts for Services.
    - Matching of AP Invoices to Goods Receipts with AP Invoice Approval Process (if configured)
The above transactions serve the 3-way matching quiet well for all purchases however when it comes to accuring for Services that have been provided, the application does not do this. The Goods Receipt transaction processing to acknowledge the service delivery is allowed however the related posting to the allocation account is missing.
The process that is followed by the application is same for Items that have not Inventory Items in Item Master.
As a result of the above, the business have to manually work out what the Accurals for services provided but not invoiced should be.
With little enhancement to the product this shortfall could very easily be overcome.

    Hi,
Once there are transactions, we cannot make existing Inventory type item to Non Inventory type item.
Check SAP note:937297 which states as follows :
    Symptom
Changing the status of the Inventory Item checkbox (in Item Master Data) for items with inventory transactions and documents, might lead to inaccuracies in the calculations of inventory value.
    Other terms
Inventory Item, Non-inventory Item, Item Master Data, Continuous Stock, Perpetual Inventory, Inventory Valuation, 2004, 2005, 2005 A SP01
    Reason and Prerequisites
    Consulting Note
    Solution
The status of an item (Inventory Item/Non-Inventory item as selected in the Inventory Item checkbox in the Item Master Data window), cannot be changed once an A/P, A/R, or Inventory document is posted for the item.

  • Manage Item Cost per Warehouse

Previous posts have confirmed that it is not possible to change the Manage Item Cost per Warehouse option once any inventory transactions have been posted.  One entry posted in Feb 2010 (below) even offered a link to other "Irreversible Ticks" (although that link is now broken).  This limitation is required in order to preserve the relational integrity of the system, within its design architecture.
    Manage item cost per warehouse
If a database has been in operation for several years with company-level costing, and business changes now force tracking costs by warehouse, I see no option other than creating a new database with the per-warehouse option, then loading items, inventory, GL, etc.  Unfortunately, all history (GL transactions, document history, change log, etc.) is no longer available in that database.
Is anyone aware of SAP plans or tools to support any other alternatives to this kind of business change?
    Thanks, Dave

    Hi Dave,
I am afraid creating a new database is your only option.
For old data, you may still keep access for certain reports. All open items has to be imported to new db. It is a kind of manual archiving. Your database performance will gain a lot though.
    Thanks,
    Gordon

  • Issues @ Tropicare, FL store and Open box inventory not found in store but on website

I went to the Tropicare, FL Best buy store on 3/2/15 to  a Vizio 65' TV that I had seen as an open box item last week on the best buy website.  I originally went on Sunday 3/1 to buy this model from the Florida city store but by the time I got there it had been sold and removed from the website. So when I get to the Tropicare, FL  store on 3/2 and show the rep the Open-Box ID: 200002100650426.  They tell me they cannot find any such listing.  I told them to check another Open-Box ID: 200002100650349 for the same item.  I figured since they have the item listed twice on the website both as Geek squad certified that there should be 1 available.  They could not find that product either.  I pulled up the information on my phone to show the rep.  He proceeds to tell me they don't use the website to track inventory and that it takes awhile for the website to update.  I found this odd since the other stores I went to on Sunday 3/1 when I had gotten to the stores the items were sold and the items were removed from the website.  So I had the rep call another store to see if the last TV only my list was available.  They told me it was not, so I checked the website and it was gone.  I showed the rep this and they blew me off once again stating they don't check inventory via the website.  I told him I find it odd that best buy wouldn't track inventory via there website.  He proceeds to show me more expensive options.  At this point I was tried of running around south Florida trying to find the Vizio model I wanted.  I purchased a LG 65' for $799 which was from the weekly ad.  But I wanted to know what the policy was regarding open box items, inventory levels,  and availability.
I still would like to buy the  VIZIO - Open Box - 65" Class (64.5" Diag.) - LED - 1080p - Smart - HDTV - Black Model: D650I-C3 SKU: 1078018 Open-Box ID: 200002100650426 or Open-Box ID: 200002100650349.  As of 3/3 the items are still on the best buy website listing them available for purchase. I would like to buy this item and return the LG I bought yesterday since it is the TV I wanted.  BUt i'm afraid I'll run into he same situation of them not "finding" either of the items in there store in stock.
Any assistance or clarification would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Omar

    Hello Omar,
Finding open-box items in fantastic condition is always an exciting purchase! To find that not only one, but two open-box items listed at the same store weren't available would be quite disappointing. I am truly sorry for any frustration that this may have caused you.
With that said, I was able to locate the open-box items in our system, and they would appear to currently be in stock. However, it seems that these items are reserved to fulfill orders that have already been placed. With that said, the store should be responsible for updating their open-box inventory to correctly reflect open-box items available. As you seemed to experience, these inventories can change instantaneously, so stores should be vigilant with these updates.
I apologize for any disappointment that this may cause you. Please know that I am reaching out to the Tropicaire, FL store to ensure they are updating their open-box inventory appropriately. If you should need any further assistance, please let me know.
    Sincerely,

  • In Sale Order and Delivery - Inventory should be effect

    Dear Experts,
i am having a scenario that in sales order and delivery, on material items inventory should not be effected.
    How i can acheive this.
Please let me know the solution.
    With Regards

    Hi Mr.Rachumallu,
I am not very sure about your question but if my understanding is right, you can acheive it through the VTLA Tcode and for the Item category of the suitable delivery and sales document combination you need to maintain the pos/neg quantity as "Zero".
I hope I am helping you.

  • Difference between G/L Balance and Inventory Audit Report

    Hi All,
while checking the G/L ledger for Inventory account and the Inventory Audit report, there is a difference between the amounts posted. The closing balance till 31/03/09 is fine but afterwards the balance is not matchin at all. I hav tried to check between various posting dates but still there are differences. Any suggestions why there are differences and how should i check them??
    Thanks in advance,
    Joseph

The GL account and the Inventory audit report will not tie for a couple of reasons:
    - You have posted directly (JE) to your Inventory account.  These amount since they are NOT tied to a Item in a transaction will not appear in the Inventory audit report.  The Inventory account(s) should be treated like a control account (enthough they
cannot be set as one in SAP B1) and should not be posted to directly outside of the Item Inventory Transaction (GRPO, AP Inv, AR INV, DN, AR CM, AP CM, etc...) I have alos seen these posting when GL determinations are setup incorretly or when users use the inventory account in Stock Posting (staock taking) transactions
    - you have legacy issues resulting in audit report entries relating back to pre SP01 2005 days.
To get these details analyzed by SAP for free along with the recomended corrections please contact your partner for a free Inventory Verification analysis   Your partner can take a copy of your DB backup and create a support message under SBO-MM-IVC and SAP support will analyse these differenes and show you the recommended changes.
    hope this helps

Can you please let us know what do you mean by
    - no. of item in error
    - Quantity variance
do you mean to say that quantity rejected as error and quantity variance is planned versus actual despatch ??
