My query : If New Item No. will be generated then where will the old item no go. How the linkage between old and New Line Item no established, pls confirm.

in which context you are asking this question and
ponumber, item -old
if you are overriding item of ponumber with new one
ponumber,item -new
old number will not be present.

The document header/item relation with a depending object, such as tolerance, is through a third table, CRMD_LINK. So,
CRMD_ORDERADM_I-GUID <=> CRMD_LINK-GUID_HI
CRMD_LINK-GUID_SET <=> BBP_PDTOL-SET_GUID

FOC item relation with standard item

Hi All,
I am new to SAP SD. I have small doubt related to FOC item relation with standard item. When i enter standard item in sales order automatically free of charge item coming as sub item.
Please tell me where do we create link between standard item and FOC item so that once standard item entered in sales order automatically free item will come into sales order.

If I am understanding you correctly, you will maintain this using VOV4
go to your order type
find the Item category from the material master for the material you are using (NORM,DIEN,etc)
enter your high level item category for sales order (standard Item) (item categories that are defined in VOV7)
then enter your default item category for sales order (sub items)

All line items related internal table or structure in f-44 Transaction

Hi All,
In F-44 Transaction once i will give Vendor number then i press enter then all related documents will come. I need that related internal table before display of documents. I have to change some values in those documents. I found one internal table i.e. POSTAB. And I made changes. But is not effected and not helpful for my requirement.Please tell me exact internal table before those values come .
If there is any Enhancement Spot or User Exit of that related Line items Values.

In almost all situations the reason to your this issue can be found in
notes 136754 or 152813.
Mostly, the documents are included in a payment proposal and will
therefore not show up in F-44.
You can check which items are blocked by payment proposal in two
ways:
In table REGUP (Processed items from payment program), you can check
which items are blocked by payment proposals (display via SE16 or SE17,
selection on vendor (LIFNR), company code (ZBUKR) and document number
(BELNR).

Upgrade item(Related Item) not appearing in LOV in Modifier form

Hi ,
I am using EBS 11i
I am looking to setup a promotional upgrade modifier(itemA with itemB).I have setup the item relationship in Inventory as Promotional upgrade.Still the related item is not appearing in the Promotional upgrades upgrade item field in modifier form. Type of modifier am using is Promotion.
am i missing any further setups?. Kindly help

Check the condition record in transaction NACE. Whether the print output field is present in the condition record.

G/L Accoutn and Commitment Item Relation

Hi Experts,
I have a question about relation of G/L Account and Commitment Item.
Is it possible that one G/L account have relation with several Commitment Item? (1:N relation)
If I don't use derivaiton rule or G/L master data, Can I input the Commitment item manually?
Please clarify !

Hi,
1. No. The opposite is possible, i.e. one commitment item is derived from several G/Ls. If you want to derive different commitment items from one G/L, obviously, additional condition should be put in place.
2. Yes, if you don't provide any rule for the derivation of commitment item, you'll be able to enter it manually, but be aware that for some postings 'behind the curtains' you won't have the option to provide this data.

Report to get cumulative effort based on child items related to parent work item

We have created a new work item type called 'Release'
Release -> Features -> PBI/Bugs -> Tasks/Test Case
I have requirement to create many reports that has to filtered across the Release work item been created. We usually slice it by Area/Iteration but here the requirement is different.
For ex:
Releases Overview report:
Release name| Owner as AssignedTo| Status Indicator | Completed Work | Remaining Work | Open Impediments
I can fetch all the release work items (Work Items with System_workItemType =Release) w.r.to team project for this report. But for other calculations :
Compute Open Impediments
Find all the child items belong to the parent 'Release work item'
Pick Open Impediments (Work_Item_Count with System_workItemType=Impediment and State = Open) in that list.
Is this possible by querying olap ? Or we need to go for stored procedures for querying warehouse?
please give a fair idea to start with and good resources for learning MDX.

To get the Release work items and all linked Impediments, you can try to create the Work item and direct links query, under Filters for lined work items section, set Type of trees = Parent/Child, work item type = Impediments and State = Open. Please refer

Service line item related query.

Hi ,
i am creating one project and want to copy one service activity with all line items from my another project, the activity is containing more then 200 line items please tell me how to copy a single service ativity from one project to another project? if there is not any solution to copy the activity atleast tell me how to copy all the line items at a time? can abybody help me please?

not sure if this is possible
suggested workaround
go to the the WBS of the new project - in CJ20N - right click, include WBS, select operative, enter the WBS which has the activity that you wish to copy - choose with activity
Now the activity is there is the new project - once in the same project you can click and drag the activity to the required WBS and delete the additional copied structures which are not relevant anymore

How to find RPM Portfolio Item related to cProject

An RPM portfolio item is linked to a cProject. Is there a way to find out to which portfolio item a cProject is linked to if I only have the cProject name and external ID?

If item is Serial Controlled, then how we will migrate the onhand quantity ?

You have to populate two tables MTL_TRANSACTIONS_INTERFACE and MTL_SERIAL_NUMBERS_INTERFACE.
If you are transacting items under serial control, you need to link the serial transaction detail rows to their parent row. You accomplish this by populating MTL_TRANSACTIONS_INTERFACE.TRANSACTION_INTERFACE_ID with a unique value to be used as the primary key to link the child lot/serial rows. If the item is under serial control, you populate the foreign key MTL_SERIAL_NUMBERS_INTERFACE.TRANSACTION_INTERFACE_ID with the value in the parent row and ensure that the total number of serial numbers adds up to the transaction quantity of the parent row.

i want all the possible no of entries for line item no (POSNR) values to b displayed when m giving the sales order no...(VBELN)...

Can u be more specific.
Do u want the line items to be copied when a particular sales order is selected from F4 ? If it is so then in FM F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST we can get the values of the other fields related to the selected field and then use FM DYNP_VALUES_UPDATE.
or Do u want to display only those line items that exists for the sales order entered then first of all u have to capture the value of the sales order entered, for this there is a FM DYNP_VALUES_READ. Now u can get the line items related to this from VBAP table.

I have configure in catalog MDM item with a relationship to an other item.
In catalog SRM MDM I don't see this relationship. I don't get the "Item Related" tab.
What I am missing?

Hi Joesph.
Item types for the records(materials/products) in the repository purely depends on the business scenario.
There are several item types which serves its purpose:
1. Item type: Normal Code: N
2. Item type: Bill of Material Code: BOM
3. Item type: Fixed Sales package Code: SK1
4. Item type: Configurable Sales package Code: SK2
5. Item type: Component Code: C
So based on your business scenario, you can have the products with different item types. If your catalog contains only flat items, then you can have all the items with item type as normal.
BOM, SK1 and SK2 are items with 1 level hierarchies which serves of different purpose.
