ITunes 11.3. I can't see any way of accessing CD track names through iTunes AFTER I ripped the CD into my computer through iTunes. For some reason the track names were not imported when I ripped the CD. Anyone know how to do that?

As far as I know this has never been a feature of iTunes. You always have to identify the CD before ripping. If you selected the wrong CD you can re-identify it for the next time the Cd is inserted but it won't re-label tracks you have already ripped. To re-identify an incorrectly identified CD: "Insert the CD and select it in iTunes, then menu Advanced > Get CD track names. To build on the second option provided by The Edmeister make sure that you have your Sync Key, if this is not the case Firefox Sync will not help you (data is encrypted with that Key).
Finally, if the last sync happened long time ago, it may be the case that your data is not on the servers anymore. Firefox Syn wasn't designed as a back up service.

Since upgrading to windows 8.1 I can not see any local files in the files window.

I have recently upgraded to windows 8.1 and can no longer see my local files in the files window. All remote files for all remote sites are visable.
If I change sites under local view get error thet dreamweaver can not update cache

I honestly don't know if DW CS5 is compatible with Win 8.1. The OS compatibility FAQ only mentions DW CS6 & CC.

This has nothing to do with the Find my iPhone app being installed on the phone, but you do have to have Find my iPhone activated in the iCloud settings on the phone.

Regarding Note A and Note B... The Downsample dropdowns list three variations of Downsampling TO, each corresponding to a different downsampling method. When you select one of the Downsampling TO options, then the pixels per inch box allow you to specify the dpi of the downsampled image, the one after the downsampling.
When you select Off, which means do NOT downsample, then the pixels per inch box is meaningless. Maybe it would be a nice interface feature to disable it, but that is another issue. In any event, OFF ignores any value in pixels per inch.
Whenever you import an image into your publishing program (FrameMaker, InDesign, or whatever) and scale it, one can think of the scaled image as having a physical dpi, the number of pixels per physical inch on the "paper." When you specify downsampling in Distiller, the number you specify is most likely less than the physical dpi of the image in the document. It is probably meaningless to specify a number that is larger. I am guessing (and this is a guess) that Distiller does not UPsample images. I have never tested it.
I use 1200 for image recovery.
I assume you are talking about recoverying an image embedded in (copied into) the publishing document. I believe it is sufficient simply to turn downsampling off to create a PDF with the image at the resolution as embedded in the document.

It is NOT in Distiller. It is in Acrobat Professional. (It may or may not be in Acrobat Standard or Acrobat Reader; I do not have them, so do not know.)
The original poster wanted to recover an image copied into a Frame document file. My method is to create a PDF using a Distiller joboption with ALL downsampling and ALL compression OFF. Presumably the image is put into the PDF with all the pixels it has in the Frame file.
THEN in Acrobat PROFESSIONAL, export the image with the setting Determine Automatically. I am presuming (never tested it) this exports ALL the pixels that the image has in the PDF file.

In the past i installed a package to implement pgp. since then i can't forward in-line pictures. I now can't find any way to uninstall the pgp thingy.

I haven't encrypted an email in over two years now and don't really need it. I'm not sure that is the reason for my inability to forward in-line pictures. In addition I'm very limited in the formatting options available when I compose an email. Anybody have a clue?

PGP turns off HTML composition.
Tools menu (alt+T) > Account settings > Compositions and Addressing and turn on HTML composition. (it is the first option on the pane)

Not at this time. There is no way to merge two Apple IDs or be signed into the iTunes Store with more than one Apple ID at a time on an iOS device. However, you can USB sync the music to more than one device at a time, no problem. As long as all the music is on the same computer.

Is there any way to uncomact the inbox and go back to a folder with files in it?

I am running Thunderbird 24.5.0 on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
I let my inbox get rather big and Thunderbird decided to compact it, it seems to be just one file now. Now my virus checker says it has found a threat in the file InBox and wants to delete the file. I don't want to just delete my entire inbox. I was hoping that if I could uncompact it the virus checker could find and delete just the message causing the problem. I have deleted a lot of junk messages so the inbox is not as big now but I can't find any way of reversing the compression.

Because emails are stored one after the other in a single file, anti-virus programs are not always designed to recognise this, they only see one file.
What you could do is create a folder on the desktop and save the emails as individual .eml files in that folder. Right click on highlighted emails and choose 'Save as' options. Select the created desktop folder where to save the email.
There is an addon called ImportExport tool which can offer more options; see link below and image..

Then scan the created desktop folder containing the .eml email files. the anti-virus will then pick up the actual email that it believes is corrupt. Once you know this, you can delete the actual email from the Inbox.
Remember that after emptying Deleted and Junk folders to right click on folder and select Compact to remove all traces.

Any Way to Add the Date to Pictures in PSE 4.0??

I've just started using PSE 4.0, and am new to the forum.
I don't see any way to add the date to a picture. I want to be able to add the date to the picture file for sending to a commercial source for printing. In my search in this and other forums, it appears there was a feature to add the date via Print|Show more options|Label|Date in PSE 3.0, but the "Date" seems to have been eliminated in 4.0.
I've used a separate program (Exifer) for this in the past, but doing it one picture at a time is tedious at best, and very time consuming. With all the capabilities of PSE, I'm amazed that this isn't an obvious capability.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You are absolutely right. Unfortunately the Date function under Caption put an entire date and time stamp on the picture, which is not what I want. All I'm trying to do is put a date stamp on the picture similar to a dateback on a 35mm camera (yes I still have a few of those!!), which we really like to have for our family photo albums.
The best I've figured out from a suggestion on another forum is to use the Watermark function under the same Process Multiple Files area. The downside is that I have to put the date in manually, as opposed to automatically from the file data, but it's better than doing it with another program.

Replying to my own post - heh. I downloaded iExplorer (http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/) which allowed me access to the files on the phone and there was the phantom movie in the DCIM folder. Deleted it, and all is well - although I still have 0.65gb of Other in iTunes.....
