ITunes 12.0.1.26 update will not connect to internet, despite no connection problem on my PC?
After upgrading to 12.0.1.26, podcasts won't update and cannot access iTunes Store. Get a message that I cannot access as not connected to internet. There is no problem with my connection. I've rebooted, delete & reloaded etc., still not working. Nothing in the Help section is helping.
Looks like I have fixed the problem by uninstalling then reinstalling the Norton Antivirus software. Thanks again iTunes for another pointless update that wasted hours of my time in trying to get it to work properly.

Just installed latest itunes update (9.2.1 I think) - update went fine, rebooted, all ok. Just fired the computer up again today and tried opening itunes only to immediately receive an error msg saying "itunes can not open - missing files. Re-install itunes".

Just checked and I do have the latest version of Quicktime installed.
Don't want to re-install itunes as I might loose all my settings.
Thanks.Fixed it! Took the plunge and hit "download itunes". When it popped up, the option asked if I wanted to "repair" to I did. 100% fixed and all me settings etc are still there! Phew!!

how do I correct iTunes to find the msi so I can install the lastest update 10.5.3?
Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -
my iphone 5 screen has gone black in the middle of updating a app. i have tried to back it up using itunes and restore it however it will not restore my phone as i have got the app find my iphone switched on. i cannot turn it off as the screen is black. can anyone help me please??

4s with latest software update will not power off, text will only vibrate, iPod only works with earphones. When I sync it with iTunes it works until power save mode starts, then back to not powering down, making text sounds, or playing iPod out loud.
The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:

updates are stupid. The letest apple itunes update will not let you keep your old password.
Probably pertains to those of us who have kept same password for apple id since inception. New rules make you do all sorts of stupid characters instead of keeping it simple.sam it sounds like ur password has a low level of security and new update wants to to make it stronger
when it askes to to make ur password just put ur old one back in but replace some letters with caps and numbers

My itunes 10.5 update will not save, and i need itunes 10.5 to update my phone HELP!Same here - I'm running 64-bit Windows 7 and have had the same problem since just before upgrading to 10.5 (64-bit) and now after too. Same issue occured a couple months ago (I *think* last when iTunes updated), when I was directed by Apple support to close iTunes, clear all Apple process in Task Manager and try again which fixed everything (also tried suggested fixes of moving old backups, deleting the backup folder, etc).
Seems like syncing\backups are breaking with every iTunes version upgrade (and only 64-bit Windows systems?)
This is very frustrating to be left hanging right when big updates are available. -
