ITunes 9 Eaten Free Songs

I had three free songs that I could redeem, but since logging into my account in iTunes 9, they've disappeared.
Has iTunes eaten my songs?!

I checked there - no joy unfortunately!
I've emailed Apple and they say I have three song credits on my account. But I can't see where or how I can use them. I did have an actual icon that said '3 songs' but now it's disappeared.

What happened to the free song a week on iTunes?

I Haven't seen iTunes post a "free song of the week" in over a month and I'm just wondering if anyone knows if this is just a temporary thing or if they have gotten rid of it. I hope not . I actually used that feature to explore new music that I otherwise might not have listened to.

How can I set up a smart playlist for those free songs from iTunes?

I have been downloading all those free songs that iTunes gives out every week. I just realized that I never listen to them because they are not all grouped together. Is there a way to do that? I tried using a smart folder to do that but I don't think anything in those files is labeled "single of the week" so nothing came up. Any ideas?

That would work. Another option I just thought of is that since most my iTunes purchases are music videos I could just say show purchased content that is not a music video. I would still end up getting some stuff that wasn't the free songs but the results seem close enough. Since my song library has 3494 songs it would be hard to pick the free songs out individually.

Before you delete, find out if you'll be able to download the song you deleted again (it depends on where you live). To delete a song:
Tap the Music app.
Tap the Songs category.
Swipe left to right over the song you want to delete.
Tap Delete.

It wont even accept my icoke pins! when I enter them (and there are two on the inside of the cap) it says its an invalid pin.. Other places online says this offer expired March 31, but on the bottle cap it says 12/31/2011 so I dont understand,. Why do you offer a free itune when one cant access it?

HT204053 I'm in the Itunes store but when I try to redeem a free song, it tells me to sign in again, then a message "review my account"

When in the ITunes Store to redeem a free song; I am prompted to sign in to redeem code. I proceed in to sign in and a reply message; my apple id has not yet been used with the ITunes store. Please review your account information, as I click to review, it sends me back to the Itunes store.
I don't know what else I need to do. If anyone has helpful suggestions, I would appreciate it. Thanks

You can create a iTune and App Store account without credit card details
1. Sign out of current Apple ID
2. Go to App Store and select a free app
3. Tap INSTALL APP
4. Create New Apple ID
5. Confirm Your Country
6. Agree with Terms and Conditions
7. Fill in your Apple ID and Password (must be a valid email address)
8. Create and answer your secret question
9. Select NONE for Payment Method
10. Fill in Billing Address
11. Submit application for new Apple ID
12. Wait for verification email
13. When email arrive, verify your account
14. Start downloading your free apps

I am very nearly at my limit, so been deleting a few playlists but as I was doing that, it seemed to be filling back up again just as quick.
So I deselected the 'Automatically fill free space with songs' button, and the capacity has stayed exactly the same?

Under Songs, Artsts, Albums, etc.
They are not in any playlist.

That menas that it is working exactly as it should.
If you have select 2GB of playlists, iTunes will put 6GB on the iPod automatically.
So I deselected the 'Automatically fill free space with songs' button, and the capacity has stayed exactly the same
Nothing will change on the iPod until you sync it.

I understand the confusion. Those tracks are royalty free to the owner of the tracks, yes. The terms of use of the iTunes Store still state, though, that all purchases are for your own personal use and cannot be used commercially:
USAGE RULES
1. You shall be authorized to use iTunes Products only for personal, noncommercial use.
They're probably fine for presentations in a class or to a group at your company, but you probably could not post the presentation or a video using these tracks on a public site. I'm no lawyer, though, to legally define what would and would not constitute "noncommercial". It's probably best to just buy your tracks directly from one of these sites of royalty-free music. Then the use license should be completely clear.

No answer on first visit to Genius Bar. Did the suggested full wipe with no sucess so I'm heading back with my laptop in hand to challenge them to find a solution.

ITunes Latino Free Song of the Week???

Hi there! Just wondering if iTunes is no longer offering a iTunes Latino song of the week... Just got my iPod for Christmas and was really enjoying them since then until today when I see the same free song in iTunes and iTunes Latino...
Think it'd only be fair to put a song in Spanish on iTunes Latino...

Free song on iTunes

Hi
I recently used the back of a coca cola label to get a free song.
I entered the code adn chose a song in the iTunes store.
A button looking thing appeared in Itunes next to my log in name with 'one song' in it.
This has not gone away so I assume that I've not done it right and can't work out how to get my free song.
Any ideas

ITunes free songs are not free

The weekly song says "free" but to download it one must enter a credit card number. This is not free. I must pay for the song by providing priveledged information that has nothing to do with the transaction. Why must I provide potential access to my credit card account in order to receive a song that is provided free of charge (monetary)? I will only provide a credit card number when I feel like buying something. A free song should be free, period. You should be honest like #2 of the Village and admit to everyone that you want "Information... information... information...". From me you won't be getting it, by hook or by crook.

I presume you visit the US music Store. As far as I know that Music Store is the only one to offer free songs. The CC information is needed to verify you're in the US of A.
I for example can't buy from other Stores than the Dutch one.
The deal with the record companies/right holders don't allow cross-border sales. The same is true for free songs (I can't get them).
That's why they need the CC information.

Credit is mixture of free songs and euros

Dear,
In my credit list I dispose of 11 free songs and some money.
Now when I select to buy a certain album of 12 songs, only 9,99 euro needs to be paid (instead of 12x 0,99 euro).
When I would only have money as a credit, there would be no problem to have this advantage. But those 11 free songs are in my way (maybe because their expiration date is before the money expiration date?). I'm also afraid that the extra song on the album ('album only') won't be downloaded for free... as this is the 12th song
Why doesn't iTunes choose in my advantage, and takes away e.g. 9 songs in this case and make me download the whole album??
